Alright! Thank you guys for the wait! Here's the next chapter! The aftermath of dealing with Femt's monsters.

One hour in since Femt unleashed his monsters, the monsters are all slain thanks to Libra and other several groups of Beyondain...like you know who. The cleanup of the Femt's monsters is now underway. Rust managed to come back to the scene he left Zapp. He sees Zed who finished the last monster off with his crimson trident.

"Yo!" Rust waved his hand greeting them.

"Ah, Rust! Looks like you're all right." Zed said, greeting him back.

"Yeah, those things got nothing on me." Rust grinned.

"You sound pretty confident." Zed mused.

"Me and my friends deal with monsters like his all the time. It ain't a big deal." Rust shrugged. Then Zapp frowns then noticed something very obvious. "Where the hell is Leo?" He asked.

Rust answers, "I left him with my friends, they're taking him to the safe place so it's all good-"

CHOP!

Zapp did a karate chop on Rust's head, leaving it with a red bump and comically smoking.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT FOR?!" He yelled, wincing his eyes, holding his head.

"Don't give me ' what the hell is that for..' that. " Zapp mimicked Rust's tone and make it sounded to be whiny, mocking the teen making him more upset and continues, "The hell are you thinkin?! Last time, I check, your friends ain't part of our group!" Zapp jabbing a point finger at his forehead repeatably.

"Yeah, so?!" Rust slaps his hand away from his forehead, "They're my friends. We deal with that crazy lab guy and his freakshow all the time! Leo is going to be fine!"

"Oh bullshit! I read about you guys on the net! You always cause goddamn massive property damage. Hell! Even worse than us!" Zapp retorted.

"That's not our fault! It's called city life!" Rust argued.

"CITY LIFE?!" Zapp yelled. "Oh! Wait till I tell the chief about this! You're so busted for not listenin to your senior's orders!"

"Not listening?!' Rust widens his eyes, "Are ya on crack?! I listened and did my job like you said!"

"EXCEPT YOUR FRIENDS BEING PART OF IT! WHERE IS THAT IN MY ORDERS?! HUH? YA SUPPOSED TO BE ON STANDBY, NOT RUNNIN AROUND AND GOOFIN OFF LIKE A HAPPY NOOBIE! ALSO, ARE YOU CALLIN ME A CRACKHEAD?!" Zapp goes to pull Rust into an octopus hold.

"YA I AM! YA DAMN OLD CRACKHEAD!" Rust yelled before yelling, "Ow, ow, ow! That hurts! You dang geezer!" Rust goes to counter with a headlock but fails.

"I SAID I'M 24 YEARS OLD, YA SHITTY BRAT!" Zapp goes to rubs his knuckles at the top of his head, giving him a noogie.

"KNOCK IT OFF, YOU WANKER!" Rust yelled.

"NOT UNTIL YOU SAY SORRY!" Zapp yelled.

"Enough!" Zed yelled, stopping the argument between them and pull them away from each other using his blood arts.

Zapp scoffs, "Well, I'm right, ain't I, fish face?!" He asked with his arms crossed.

Zed sighs and looks to Rust, "While we are grateful for your friends' help, it's dangerous to have them to be involved even if your friends dealt with such situations before. Klaus would say something similar even if he's grateful for the assistance."

Rust slumped his shoulders. "Fine."

"Anyway, where is Leo driven to?" Zed asked.

"Probably our hideout? I'm going to get the call from them about-" A ringtone is heard, it was a jazzy song that belongs to a pacifist driver. "Ah! There he is!" Rust takes out the smartphone from his pocket and answers.

20 minutes ago ...

"AHHHHHH!" Leo yelled with pure terror as he holds onto the seatbelt and straps for dear life as the driver, Jaron Jackal spin the steering wheel making the car spun around to avoid the jaws of monsters despite the twists and turns while Oblivion and Shdwkyz deal with the monsters, clearing a pathway for them.

Fosh sitting right next to him, breathing into a paper bag frantically, trying to himself from hyperventilating while Gerald yells with glee as if the whole situation is like a rollercoaster. Explosions is heard before a booming sound is heard right behind them making the ground rattle.

"Looks like Ink and the rest took care of that big ol' monster!" Jaron laughs as he looks behind as the car spun and changes the gearshift to have the car drives backward. Then he spins around once more and changes the gearshift to forward, putting the car back in the normal direction. All the monsters are slain as they suffered cuts and bruises upon their bodies, then he hears someone landed on top of the car.

"Jaron, you're all clear," Shdwkyz tells as he pokes his head in the passenger side and looks over the passengers. "Oh, I recognize you, it's Leonardo, right?" He muses.

Leo can't answer he is too shocked to utter words right now after the whole crazy driving experience

"Got it. Anyway, looks like it's over! Navarro just texted us that Law is on the scene, so you better get out of here before his men catch up! We see you back at the hideout." Shdwkyz stated.

"Will do!" Jaron nods as he is now driving like any normal person despite the streets being littered with dead hybrid cat-shark monsters. "Oh! Want me to drop you off somewhere?" He asked Leo as he is trying to breathe in and out.

"Here...I think you need it more than me." Fosh handed him the paper bag to which Leo gladly took and breathes into the paper bag. After several times, Leo finally answers, "Just...drop me off in the next to a place called Dianne's Diner, please... " Leo breathed.

"Dianne's Diner?! Sure thing! Their food is really good!" Jaron grinned.

"Oh! I love their pies!" Gerald said happily. "Fosh and Jaron, we can buy some?!"

"Why not? It's a perfect time for lunch!" Jaron grinned and then goes to call Rust.

"Yo!" Rust answered.

"Heya, Rust. Just want to let you know, Leo is safe and sound!" Jaron stated as he pulls up to the diner, the boy presses the button that unlocks the build-in straps and seatbelt. Leo immediately opens the door and drops to the ground, "LAND!" He cried.

"First time?" Fosh asked as he comforts the other before the hacker gags and quickly goes to the nearest trash can, throwing up his brunch into it. "BLAGH!"

"That was quick, are all of ya at the hideout?" Rust answered.

"Nah, I just dropped off Leo near Dianne's Diner, I was thinking of picking up their fresh pies and some lunch. Want some?" Jaron asked.

"Oh! That place? I'm-OW!"

"How about you pick him up, you damn noob?!" It was a guy on the other line, he sounds familiar.

"OKAY! I GO GET HIM! Stop hitting me with your poser-ass karate chops!"

"Who you callin poser?! HAH?!"

"OW! KNOCK IT OFF!"

"Get your ass down over there, you damn noob!"

"UGH! I'll be there, Jaron! Thanks a bunch!" With that, Rust hangs up. Jaron chuckles, "Sounds like Rust is having trouble." To which Leo overhears, he already can tell that's Zapp ordering Rust around. Already, Leo greets Vivian and orders some meal along with his newfound friends of Rust's.

Once Rust is ordered to get Leo after Dianne's' Diner, Zed goes to accompany him while Zapp goes to report back to the office much to Rust's annoyance. Despite Zed ensuring him that Klaus would understand his actions.

"Is it really that big of a deal?" Rust sighed.

"In my opinion, I don't suppose so but you and your friends are..." What would it be a good word to describe them without badmouthing them? " audacious, "That's a correct word, yes. "from what I heard despite your good intentions. Not to mention, Leo is glad that you take him away from the battle."

Audacious? The hell does that mean? Rust thought as he stared at Zed. "Is he really? I hope Jaron's driving doesn't make him go into sho-" Rust paused as he and Zed stop to see Jaron and Fosh enjoying their drinks while Leo is eating as if he is in heaven while Gerald is eating pies with vigor as there are empty pans stack on top next to their table.

"Huh! Whaddya know! Leo is taking this better than I thought!" Rust smiled.

I don't think that's it... Zed thought sweatdropped.

Back at Libra...

"So that's the report, Chief!" Zapp said with his arms crossed as Klaus nods, fixing his tie after dealing with the monsters, leaving them slain and impaled on his blood crosses with ease.

"I see. I'm glad that Rust and Leo are alright." Klaus said.

"I'm not surprised that they got involved," Steven commented.

"Aren't you two guys worried about this?!" Zapp frowned, now tucking his hands into his pockets. "I'm almost died by those dead things raining on the streets because of them!" He complained.

"Their actions may be a bit reckless, but with their aid, we managed to dispose of most of the monsters in a short amount of time and even tended the wounds of the injured, so I'm quite grateful for their assistance," Klaus answered.

""You're giving them too much damn credit cause they're a bunch of brats!" Zapp complained.

"Exactly..." Steven chuckles before turning to the Libra's executive,

"By the way Klaus, Law called me a couple of minutes ago also complaining about the damages caused by Rust and his friends, I think it's time we tell him about his recruitment and regarding the bounties," Steven informed him.

Klaus sighs. "I suppose so."

"Told ya!" Zapp pointed as the three are going back to the office.

A half and an hour later, Rust, Zed, and Leo returned to the office.

"Yo! We're back!" Rust exclaimed.

Steven greets the three back with his usual laid-back smile "Good to see you're doing alright. So how's the first experience, young man?" He asked Rust.

"Huh? Oh uh..." Rust blinked and wonder how to answer, "It's... pretty good." While Rust kicks his own ass mentally. Just be cool, man! He thought to himself.
"Fighting Femt's freakshow ain't so bad." He wants to kick himself mentally, "It's pretty much a bit like what I'm doin with my friends!" He said with a smile.

"Happy to know it went well. I heard about it from Zapp." Steven laugh.

Shit.

Rust is prepared for any criticism. Of course, Zapp snitched on him. He said he's going to bust him so here it goes.

"Though for future reference, next time, make sure to keep damage to a minimum. But I know it's hard to do so don't worry about it." Steven laughed, patting on his shoulder.

"R-right..." Rust replied, shocked to hear he expected something worst, "Sure. I'll try, sir."

"HAH? You say yes sir to Steven but not to me?!" Zapp exclaimed then he turns to Zed and Leo, "Also, what took ya?" Zapp asked. Leo immediately brought up bags of food thanks to the courtesy of Vivian packing it in containers since they're taking the food to go. "Lunch we skipped. Jaron drove us back."

"Jaron? Who the hell is that?"

"My friend," Rust answered which got Zapp scowling. "Did you just forgot about what I said about your friends?! Did ya got a short-memory loss or what?" Zapp had his arms as if to say 'this is exactly what I am talking about here.'.

"Lay off, Zapp." Leo retorted. "Rust's friends save me, big time! Plus, they're nice enough to drop us off since we got a lot of food here for everyone." He said. Even though they're crazy enough to go through a horde of Femt's experimental monsters in two blocks and not to mention, Jaron's crazy driving. But I am not going to say that. Well. Not yet unless Steven or Klaus asked. He thought.

"Anyway, we got your favorite burger." He sets the bag of food onto the table near the couch.

"That right?" Already, Zapp plops down on the couch and is ready to dig in with a grin, "Then I going to leave you off the hook then, noble." Zapp pointed at Rust, "Even though I told Chief about it." He goes to munch down on his burger.

Rust just stares not without his eye twitched at him. "Right..." He gave a smile. Bullshit.

"Anyway..." Steven clears his throat, "Rust."

"Hm? Yes, sir?"

"Oh, no need to call me, sir. Just Steven is fine." Steven smiled, "Anyway, we would like to talk with you about our recruitment and our bounties."

"Oh right!" He almost forgot about it. "Sure thing, what is it?"

"As you know, Libra is a secret society of blood users who makes sure that balance is upheld especially in this city. While we appreciate that your friends' help for today, you need to keep a low profile especially you being a member of this organization. Do you understand?"

"Yeah," Rust said with a nod.

"Good." Steven smiled, "As for you and your bounties, well...it's hard to take them down. You see." He sighs, yet still smiling, "It's not because Law doesn't want to, it's more likely that you and your team made enemies besides the HPLD." Rust blinked at this," Wait...really?"

"Yes." Klaus speaks, "You see, other groups such as the mafias, gangs, and cults take an interest in your group, we're still investigating but it's highly unlikely they will attack you and your friends." Klaus continues, "Regardless, Law agrees that he won't arrest you, Rust as long as you work with us on the scene.

"But, anywhere else, it's a free game for him," Steven added.

"Got it." Man, he would of hope something better but he can't complain. It's only fair. He needs to tell the team about this.

"You already got a tour thanks to Leo but I don't think you have seen everything yet thanks to Femt's antics. You see, you haven't met the rest of the team yet." Steven said which made Rust blinked in question,

Huh? This isn't the full team? There are more members? Rust blinked.

"But that's okay, you'll get to meet them soon enough." Steven waved his hand to ensure him, "And finally, we already discussed who's going to train you in the blood arts as well as supervising you.."

Rust's eyes went up, hearing this. "Who is it?"He wondered. Then finally he has the answer.

"That would be me, Rust." Zed stands up, "As a fellow Blood User, I will teach you effective ways to improve your blood-using powers as well developing blood techniques along the way. I will make sure of that."

"Wow, really?" Rust asked, now surprised to hear this and is now excited. He remembers how Zed fought with his blood arts back at the party against the blood breed last week, he is in awe that Zed is going to train him. Already, he has tons of questions.

"Can't wait to see this..." Zapp drinks some soda.

"I know you're excited. But first, let's eat before we start training. How does that sound?"

"That would be awesome!" Rust grinned.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, Chain appeared on top of Rust's head, standing lightly as she is delivering a report to Steven. "Thank you, Chain." He said.

She nods before jumping off in disappearing and reappears, standing beside Steven.

"?" Rust blinked. "Uh...hey." Wait, where did she come from? Was she standing there before?

Then Steven introduces Chain "Rust, "This here is Chain, I don't believe you met her properly during your recruitment as she was invisible the whole time observing the scene."

"Wait, really? Huh." Rust was still weirded by her sudden appearance but greeted her with a wave and weirded expression. "Hi, nice to meet ya. I'm Rust." That's kind of cool, I guessed.

In which she waves back with her usual blank expression, "Hey."

What the.. wait seriously, he doesn't even notice? Zapp and Leo just stared at Rust's lack of awareness just now when Chain appeared. And indeed it was, Rust is so excited that he is going to be trained by Zed that he doesn't even notice Chain standing on top of his head a moment earlier or he's even aware of it.

That's how excited he is.

"Good luck, fish sticks. You need it." Zapp smirked. Zed could only scoff at Zapp's comment.

Zed is going to be Rust's trainer or rather his sensei training him in the Blood Arts. What kind of training is Rust going to endure? Stay tuned for the next chapter!
