Alright so here is chapter 2 please have an open mind as i have tried to mix the technology filled world if She-Ra with the time period of Tangled. Please enjoy : )

17 years later

It was a beautiful day as the sun rose on the whispering woods. All the vast amounts of life started to rise and awaken to begin their day. Even in a secluded but tall tower things were being done and it's resident was wide awake.

Even though it was early morning already sparks and buzzing machines were going off. But for Entrapta it was normal she worked very late and very early to improve her inventions. You might say she was a bit of a workaholic but it wasn't really work to her, to her it was fun it was expression. At the moment she was working on the energy source that powered the tower she lived.

"Hmm seems internal functions are normal as well as the battery of the power source, but a malfunction seems to have appeared in the wiring itself." Entrapta recorded into a little device she held in her hand.

At the moment she was sitting in a long purple swing made of her hair, logging her progress. However as she logged a three legged round machine came tromping in a wire wrapped around its head and a tool hanging off one of its legs. It tromped over to Entrapta and lightly bumped into her to make her presence known.

"And.. oh Emily, ahh you brought me the tools I needed and the new wire, you're the best Emily. Thank you so much!" Entrapta praised the machine which made noises in a way to say, your welcome.

She then took the wire and the special tool and began to fiddle with the wiring of their power source. It took her a few minutes but eventually she got close to finishing.

"Alright and… ha success!" Entrapta yelled as the machine started humming and glowing like it was supposed to.

Immediately the lights turned on to shed more light within the tower. The inside if the tower was decently large and had several rooms, one for Entrapta, one for shadow Weaver, and one that worked as a lab for Entrapta. In the middle of the tower was a large open space that consisted of a fireplace, a kitchen, a sitting area, and most importantly glowing in the middle the Golden Runestone.

Now that was one of Entrapta's oldest and best projects. She with the help of Shadow Weaver learned to harness the Runestone and make it so Shadow Weaver could use it at will. It was a bit of a complicated process and she didn't exactly know why she did it, but it was in the name of science so it was ok with her. Though in general Entrapta didn't know much about the why of things.

Shadow Weaver was always insistent that the reason didn't matter and she was her mother so she respected that. However there was one thing she was extremely curious about but she never would get an answer for. Every year on her birthday a series of lights would float in the sky and through all her study of them she could never tell what they were or what their source was. Yet she always got this feeling they were calling out to her to follow them, it was just a feeling but a strong one. She had asked and asked Shadow Weaver about them, since she has been outside, but either she'd never get an answer. However today she was going to get an answer no matter what, her curiosity had gone too long unquenched.

As Entrapta thought and stewed over her dilemma Emily bumped into her multiple times.

"Emily are your circutes on the fritz again, I just fixed them last week. But it takes trial and error to perfect so.." Entrapta started to say before Emily shook to imply that's not what she was meaning.

Emily quickly ran to a little disk on a table and pressed the red button on. Immediately a glowing map and presentation of the floating lights appeared before the two.

"Yes I'm going to ask again, though I'm not sure on what I'm going to say. Seeing as I've attempted about 4,568 times to ask, but in the name of science and curiosity I will find out." Entrapta resolved.

It was then Entrapta heard a voice call to her.

"Entrapta I need you to bring me up!" Shadow Weaver called out impatiently to her daughter.

"One moment!" Entrapta called out.

Entrapta quickly undid her apron, that was covered in grease stains and oil, smoothed her purple dress, and pulled her hair down. For Entrapta had fifty feet worth or long purple hair and not only was it long but it moved. She was able to move her hair like any other part of her body, so she always wore it in pigtails to act as two arms and help her work. This was also

how she let Shadow weaver in by throwing her hair down to climb on. But as Entrapta ran to the big window that worked as an entrance Emily followed, making Entrapta stop in her tracks.

"Wow wow Emily, you know Shadow Weaver doesn't like you here! You have to hide!" Entrapta said knowing her mother.

Emily then slumped in depression as she remembered she wasn't liked due to her malfunctions which Shadow Weaver found useless. But Entrapta found them as ways to improve her, she thought imperfections were beautiful, and loved Emily for that reason even though she was a robot.

"I know it hurts but I love you Emily!" Entrapta said as she hugged Emily.

"Entrapta will you please hurry up!" Shadow Weaver shouted loudly.

Both Entrapta and Emily squealed and split to go to their positions. Once at the window Entrapta moved her right pigtail and sent it flying out. As soon as it cascaded low enough Shadow Weaver grabbed the long purple hair and waited. With the help of her hands Entrapta pulled Shadow Weaver off the ground and eventually into the tower.

"Welcome home Shadow Weaver!" Entrapta greeted as Shadow Weaver walked in.

"What have you completed in my absence?" Shadow Weaver asked not one for greetings.

"Well not very much but that was because I was working on the generator."

"I see, well at least our power is back. I have brought back more parts for you to work with as well, now you may continue with our weaponry. How many have you completed so far?"

"I have completed exactly 785.5 of the weapons you have requested, but besides that there is another matter I'd like to.." Entrapta tried to lead to before Shadow Weaver shuttered and felt weak for a moment.

"Entrapta would you give your mother a boost please?" Shadow Weaver requested as she went towards the stone.

"Right on it!" Entrapta said as she went to a keypad near the Runestone.

Shadow Weaver hobbled to the Runestone and placed both her hands on it.

"Alright calibrating energy output and input levels, instigating energy lock system, and regulating outpouring levels!" Entrapta said excitedly as she ran the machine.

Immediately the Runestone glowed blindingly, filling Shadow Weaver with an immense amount of energy. As the process continue, the fragment on Shadow Weavers special mask that contained the energy glowing bright, the energy started coming too fast. However in Entrapta's excitement and overly observative nature she realized none of this.

"Entrapta… Entrapta...Entrapta!" Shadow Weaver called out unable to let go of the Runestone.

"Oh sorry!" Entrapta apologized as she shut down the machine leaving Shadow Weaver gasping.

"Entrapta! You nearly made me explode with energy with how fast you did that!" Shadow Weaver complained.

"I'm sorry but I have something I really want to discuss with you!" Entrapta said overly excited as it meant discovery and possibly leaving the tower for the first time.

"Huh and what is that?" Shadow Weaver asked already feeling exhausted by Entrapta's spastic energy.

"Well allow me to show you!" Entrapta said as she used her hair to grab the disk from earlier and press the red button on it.

Immediately a holographic map of the sky was produced before the two.

"Here we have a map of the skies of Etheria, in our particular quadrant exactly on the date of my birth a stream of floating lights appears that day and only on that day. I propose.." Entrapta started to explain before being interrupted.

"Is this about going to find the source of these floating lights?" Shadow Weaver asked annoyed by this question that was asked thousands of times.

"Yes and I am aware I have asked this question exactly 4,568, but hear me out. Through much research and energy scanning I have found that a massive amount of energy comes from wherever this source is. So if we find it there might be something there to help in the building of your empire! Not to mention it is my date of birth so a gift of my choosing is typically expected. So can we please go!" Entrapta begged as she used her hair to lift her up.

There was a long moment of silence as Shadow Weaver just stood there and stared at her.

"Entrapta, while all this sounds wonderful, and I would love to seek out this powerful source, you are forgetting one crucial fact in your proposal."

"What?"

"You going to this source would mean you having to leave this tower. And as we both know you have no real way of defending yourself out there." Shadow Weaver said deviously as she got closer to Entrapta.

"But you go out everyday and appear unharmed." Entrapta stated confused.

"Yes but I have my magic to defend myself with and I have been out in the whispering wood and the world itself for a very long time. It is a very scary place and not to mention those who would abuse your talent for evil. People can be very cruel sometimes." Shadow Weaver said as she gently stroked Entrapta's head feigning motherly love and concern.

"I suppose you're right, but shadow.."

"No buts dear child for now simply stay inside and work on your machines. Help your mother's dream become a reality and watch the wonders we shall bring to this world." Shadow Weaver said as she directed Entrapta's attention to the lab.

Immediately Entrapta was distracted as she couldn't resist the opportunity to invent and learn.

"Yes that's what I though now let your talent grow my dear, let it flourish to the building of our empire. Now while you do that I must be off, I must find food for our lunch. But while I'm gone.. do not leave this tower!" Shadow Weaver said sternly as she then used Entrapta's hair to climb down the tower.

For a moment Entrapta looked up from her work and out the window. In all honesty she did want to leave the tower but with what her mother said maybe it was best to stay inside. She wasn't very strong or good with people so maybe it was best to just stay inside safe and accepted by her machines. So Entrapta returned to her work, unaware of the great adventure that was about come to her

The Palace

Meanwhile in the kingdom all seemed calm and normal. People were working, going about their usual business, and just living normal lives. However little did they know a robbery was about to take place.

On the roof of the palace snuck three thieves all inching towards a portion of the roofing. One of the thieves was a feline-like woman named Catra who had long brown hair and was wearing a pair of leather pants, a canvas shirt, a series of leather cords holding weapons, and a dark Scarlet jacket. The other was a scorpion human hybrid named Scorpia who was wearing similarly styled leather pants, a black garnet necklace, canvas shirt, and a rose colored vest. Then their leader was a large muscular white and grey man with red eyes and pointed ears who went by Hordak who wore grey leather pants, a white rolled up sleeve shirt, and a blue vest. At the moment Scorpia and Catra were prying open a large roof shingle as Hordak looked off into the distance.

"If only we had won all those years ago we wouldn't need to be petty thieves and we would own this palace." Hordak grumbled bitterly about their great loss so many years ago.

"Well if we manage to steal what we're after, then we can buy a palace of our own." Catra snapper as she struggled to get the roof tile to move.

But after much effort from her and Scorpia the tile was moved and they were ready to go. At the same time Scorpia accidentally looked down the hole and about lost her balance.

"Wow, that was uh, that is really far down. It's a good thing I'm not going down. Not because I'm scared or anything! But you know I'm so big you'd both drop me pretty easily hehe." Scorpia said awkwardly.

"Enough chatter we have work to do ." Hordak said bluntly.

Inside the Palace

Meanwhile inside a troupe of the kingdoms top guards, all dressed in purple and gold uniforms, surrounded a little crown that rested on a little cushion on top of a pedestal. The crown was supposed to belong to the princess but after she was kidnapped it was never worn but there it waited till she at last returned. Only the highest rank of guards were allowed to be there due to the symbol and hope it represented.

The troup guarding consisted of five guards four of which were Runestone holders. The one without a Runestone was an expert archer named now a very sweet, fiercely loyal, and smart boy. On his right stood Glimmer, a feisty but driven girl with the ability to use a little magic and teleport. The other guard next to her was a beautiful blonde girl named Perfuma who had power over plants and was a very zen and caring personality. Next to Bow was Mermista, a seemingly apathetic person but was a true friend through and through, she had power over water. Lastly was the powerful but very young guard Frosta, a very independent but fun little girl with powers over ice.

All four of the powerful girls had their powers due to the variously colored and shaped Runestones they wore around their necks. They were passed down their family lines from generation to generation to those next to defend and help their kingdom. It was also through these in the late war that they were able to defeat the horde. Anyways at the moment they were guarding the lost princess's crown all unaware of Hordak descending behind them thanks to a rope maneuvered by Catra and Scorpia.

As he descended Hordak was able to silently steal the crown from it's post without any notice. However before he went back up Hordak decided to mess with the guards ever so slightly.

"If only you had a guard capable of seeing behind them." Hordak casually suggested.

"Yeah if only..Wait what!" Bow yelled as he remembered he was the only boy in the room.

All the guards turned to see Hordak escaping as he rose to the roof.

"No you won't get away!" Glimmer yelled as she teleported to Hordak.

However aware of the guards abilities as soon as she appeared before Hordak, she was electrocuted with a clawed glove he had invented. Immediately she fell to the floor, allowing Hordak to escape, only to be caught by Bow.

"Glimmer are you ok?!" Now asked in his usual concerned manner.

"I'm fine but we need to go after that thief! We can't let him escape with the crown!" Glimmer said as she stood up filled with determination to retrieve the crown.

"I'll get Adora!" Frosta said as she skated on the floor with her ice.

"Let's get that thief!" Glimmer yelled as she teleported outside.

The Whispering Woods

Catra, Scorpia, Hordak ran through the whispering woods desperate to get away.

"Are they behind us! Like are we sure this is.. uh a good idea," Scorpia panted as she ran.

"This is the only way out so unless you have a better idea this is it!" Catra panted snarkily.

"Will you two both be silent, we do not want to give our enemies.." Hordak started to bark until a blast of energy came from behind them and knocked them to the floor.

After a moment of recovery they turned to see a large glowing woman riding in a winged horse with all the elite guards, also on horses, directly behind them.

"Here we are villains ready to bring justice!" Swift Wind, the trusted steed and energetic companion of Adora, said very dramatically.

"Oh no! They brought She-ra! And the horse talks! " Scorpia freaked.

"Return the princess's crown or face the consequences!" She-ra said as she pointed her sword at the thieves.

This was none other than Adora, the next She-ra and successor to Mara. She had been She-ra for a few years and along with that the captain of the elite unit and general guard. She had much experience and cared deeply for her kingdom, willing to defend it to the bitter end.

"What are you going to whip us with that ridiculous ponytail?" Catra teased the powerful warrior.

"What my ponytail is not ridiculous it's… I mean no you will face time in prison and other punishment type stuff." Adora stammered not exactly one for comebacks.

"Nice one Adora, really nice." Glimmer cringed at her friend's lack of whit.

"Uh Catra now is probably hehe.. not the time to be teasing our enemies." Scorpia tried to say nicely but awkwardly.

"What I can't help it if thunder thighs here can't come up with a comeback." Catra said bluntly.

"Thunder thighs! Why you.. huh look as much as I'd love to be insulted some more. We just need you to return the crown and you may leave with no punishment." Adora told trying to act more like the kingdoms defender.

"I have fought She-ras such as yourself many times and I refuse to surrender to one one more time." Hordak said with a very serious expression.

"You are completely outnumbered thief, you can't possibly escape!" Frosta yelled as she made ice fists appear in her hands.

"Oh am I, well little girl, I luckily have a solution to this problem, say goodbye to your crown!" Hordak said with a devious smile as he threw down a grey orb that filled the entire field with smoke.

All the guards coughed and coughed until after a few minutes the smoke cleared to show all the thieves were gone.

"Clever one this Hordak, but we'll catch them! Everyone move out!" Adora cried as they galloped off towards the thieves.

Meanwhile Catra, Scorpia, Hordak ran like hell again until they then came up to a ledge.

" Oh no we're doomed they'll catch up to us soon!" Scorpia freaked out once more.

"Scorpia! Through me up there now!" Hordak demanded scaring Scorpia into submission.

With the massive strength of her arms she managed to throw Hordak on top of the ledge.

"Alright Hordak help us out and quick no doubt those guards will be here soon." Catra called out to Hordak.

"Actually I believe this will be more of a success on my own." Hordak said, not even looking at the two.

"What you're betraying us right now after all we've been through!" Catra yelled out in rage.

"I'm afraid so but thank you for your help, I wish you the best." Hordak said with an evil smile as he ran off with a stachel containing the crown.

"Hordak!" Catra yelled.

"Uh Catra I think we have company." Scorpia said with her pinchers up nervously.

The two turned and saw the guard come.

"There's two of the thieves there! Now's our chance!" Mermista said as she readied herself for battle.

"I shall go after their leader for I am swift wind!" Swift Wind said even more dramatically as he stood up tall in his hind legs knocking Adora off.

He then neighed and flew off to go after Hordak.

"No Swift Wind! Come back here! Ughh that horse is going to be the death of me!" Adora said as she slammed her palm to her face.

However they continued forward towards Catra and Scorpia.

"Uh Catra what do we do?" Scorpia asked nervously.

"We fight." Catra said as she made her claws come out of her hands.

"Alright.. if you say so." Scorpia said as the garnet on her necklace began to glow and red electricity started to come from her pinchers.

"What! She has a Runestone but how?!" Perfuma asked never hearing of another person outside the elite guard having one.

"It doesn't matter, just fight!" Adora cried out as the two groups collided in battle.

Meanwhile Hordak was running for his life determined to get away from his pursuers. However then he heard a loud neigh above him. Hordak looked up and saw Swift Wind flying above him with a large smile on his long face.

"Alas I have caught up to you villain, prepare to be captured!" Swift Wind said as heroicly as possible.

"Not if I capture you horse!" Hordak said as he pulled out a net from his satchel and threw it at Swift Wind.

However the nimble horse dodged it in the air.

"Ha you have missed thief, now surrender!"

"I wouldn't say that yet!" Hordak said with an evil smile.

Suddenly the net then blew back onto Swift Wind causing him to be tangled in it falling down into a deep chasm in front of them with a loud neigh. Hordak laughed evilly not even realizing he was heading straight for the cliff of the chasm. By the time he finally realized it it was too late, in his attempt to stop himself he slipped on the tall grass on the ground and fell down the deep deep chasm with an echoing scream.
