Slowly grasping the bottle, she lifted it to eye level. Observing every little detail closely. No, she didn't want to do it. But she had to. Moving back to her workstation, ready to finish the job given to her, she repeated that last written demand in her head.

'Make absolutely sure that it's not caused by a Demon's curse. Use THAT bottle if you have to.'

After her strange yet quick meeting with Porlyusica, Lucy found herself wandering aimlessly through Magnolia. It wasn't quite late enough to head home. Yet it was too late to head back to the guild for more mingling. She didn't really have any specific place in mind but it seemed her feet did. She raised her slightly lowered head as she spotted the cherry blossom trees in the close distance.

South Gate park had always been her favorite. Ever since that one day she had laid up in her apartment sick. Reminiscing on days passed, she hadn't realised she had entered the park until a soft petal fluttered across her cheek. The park looked beautiful in the warm evening glow. Despite the earlier heat, a soft breeze drifted through the trees. Lucy couldn't help but feel so at peace here. Walking further into the park, she finally stopped before a certain tree. Her tree. From being uprooted and sent down the canal then being replanted again, it still thrived. Its branches towering high above her. Stretching towards the last remaining light of day.

Seeing the shadows start to stretch upon the ground, Lucy turned away. Making her way home.

'I wonder how that idiot is doing.'

Returning to her cozy apartment, she absentmindedly went through making herself a light dinner before preparing for bed. Dressed in her comfiest pajamas, she sat on her bed. Contemplating the potion bottle that now sat on her bedside table. Twiddling a small spoon in her hands, she sighed. 'I always did hate taking medicine.' She thought. 'But she said it'd help. And I only need to take a spoonful.''

Grabbing the bottle, she filled her spoon. Sneering at the smell it permeated, she pinched her nose and downed it quickly. 'Oh god.' she gagged. 'It tastes worse than it smells!'

She quickly grabs a tissue. Rubbing her tongue raw to rid her poor appendage of the wretched aftertaste. Only stopping when her tongue was raw and only a familiar copper taste was left in her mouth. She laid down in her bed, covering herself thoroughly with her pink comforter. No sooner had she lowered her head onto her pillow did her eyes start to flutter closed. The potion Porlyusica gave her worked almost instantly.

Lucy smiled drowsily. 'Finally.' She sighed peacefully, truly grateful to the old healer as she settled more into her warm sheets. Her eyes softly drifted close. Never noticing the shadows pressing in on her.

Meanwhile, in another part of Magnolia, Porlyusica sat at her desk. The blank page lay in front of her tauntingly. She was told to send word to Makarov as soon as she knew something. But she didn't know what to write. There were no words to describe what she had discovered. She could fill the whole page with information and still not properly understand any of it. How could Makarov comprehend something she herself could not? The answer was simple. He couldn't. She sighed, resting her head in her hands. 'I'll need more tests. But I also need more information. A better understanding of it all.' she thought miserably. Deciding on short and simple, she swiftly wrote her findings. Sealing it away into an envelope, she went about finding her pack. Finding her travel bag, she packed enough clothes for a few days. No more. Placing the sealed letter in the bag, she sat her bag by her door.

'I'll deliver it to Makarov as I head out of town.' she decided. She cleaned everything up before heading to bed.

After all, she had a long journey ahead of her.

-To Rewrite Our Story-

So here is the promised second half. I know I said Friday but I literally wanted rid of this. I'm so glad this chapter is finally up. I was getting sick of looking at it. Out of the whole story, I hated this part the most. I think it would have been better if I had been able to keep the two parts together. But whatever. Nothing I can do about it now. And before you even think about saying "It's soooo short!" I know this. I really do. I hate it myself. So to make up for it, I'll be posting the next chapter relatively soon. We're talking like Saturday or Sunday. But that doesn't mean not to review. I see every single one of you guys who read and don't even follow the story. For shame! Remember to review! And be prepared. A new update will hit sooner than you expect! Til next time!
