GUYS! I GOT SO MANY NEW PEOPLE ON THIS EMOTIONAL TRAIN! I"M SO HAPPY AND EXCITED! AHHHHHHH! Literally the best day ever! And I really needed a pick me up after the week I had, so THANK YOU!
There is one review I wanna address directly. I'll be quick. Promise :) But there will be spoilers if you haven't got up to the 100 year quest. So skip ahead unless you really want to know.
So… to my one guest reviewer. (Sorry, I don't know what to call you!)
You asked for clarification and I am here to explain. So pretty much Lucy did lose Aquarius' key. She had to break her key as well as sacrifice their bond to summon the Celestial Spirit King. Remember, it had to be a spirit she had a deep connection with. And Aquarius had been with Lucy since she was a small child. Being her mother's spirit before her. Some would even go so far to say they were the best of friends and Aquarius was even a motherly figure to Lucy. But she definitely was Lucy's first friend and remained her only friend for a long time. So their bond was truly deep. Now if I remember correctly, the manga goes quite similar and on point with the anime. (Sorry, I read the manga before I even started the anime. So it has been awhile.)
Now during the war with the Alvarez Empire, Brandish and Lucy have a moment where Brandish pretty much says she plans to kill Lucy because her mother was killed for Aquarius' key. What happened was that Lucy's mother, Layla, gave her 3 spirit keys to three different servants. To be taken care of until Lucy was born, grew up some and decided if she wanted to be a mage. So Capricorn was given to Zoldeo, Cancer to Spetto, and Aquarius to Grammi. Who was Brandish's mother. Brandish remembered those days clearly. But one day Brandish's mother was killed and Aquarius' key was taken. Or so she thought. Grammi had actually returned the key to Layla and Zoldeo, who had forced Capricorn to bond with him, had stabbed Grammi. Leaving her to die on the road. All of this is revealed, because Aquarius got the spirit king's permission to return and protect Lucy from Brandish. Keep in mind, Aquarius never died when her key was broken. She was merely stuck in the Spirit world with no doorway to Earthland. She's still alive and talks to the other spirits. So after the truth finally comes to light, Aquarius tells Lucy that a new key for her could be hiding on any continent at any moment. And that she looks forward to being summoned again. She then returns to the Spirit Realm.
Now it's assumed she'll find Aquarius' key in the 100 year quest. I don't honestly know yet. But we shall see:) I hope that clears things up for you.
As for the non OC characters, I tried to keep them as original as possible. But they never really got into anything in detail. For example, in the anime it skips from the end of the war to the night Lucy was at the party to celebrate her book. Now if I remember, I think it was a year gap. Might have been shorter. But I always wondered what happened during that gap. How did they deal with it? What went through everyone's heads? How did they cope? Let's be honest, a lot of shit went down during the war. Erza found out she had a mother out there and that she's a dragon. (Well a slayer turned dragon.) Juvia almost died and so did Gray. Natsu had a ethernano tumor then didn't. He became E.N.D. after he believed Lucy had been tortured and killed. Gray and him tried to kill each other. Levy watched Gajeel die. Momentarily but still. Makarov was gone there for a bit. Natsu discovered Zeref was his brother and killed him. Natsu technically died. Lucy almost sacrificed her own life to bring him back. Then there was Achnologia. It was one hell of an arc. I'll say that much. But so much happened and nothing was said about how the Fairytail Guild coped with it all. And that didn't sit right with me. So I wanted to emphasize on that as well as tie up a major plot hole. Lucy did in fact write in the book of E.N.D. And she should have died. That book was Natsu's demon and E.N.D. was the strongest demon there was. Gray may have saved her but let's face it. There was no way there was no repercussions. So that's where my thoughts were at when I wrote this. And I suppose the characters will have to be a little different. EH. What can you do, right? Lol
I hope that explained everything! If not, feel free to message me and we'll chat some more. Always up for those types of conversations.
Now back to business. I'm giving a list of all those I wish to thank for your support. And I mean everyone.

Disclaimer: I don't own FairyTail.

Now left to his own thoughts, Makarov stared out his office window once again. In the past few days alone he had caught himself doing it more than he ever had. Sighing, he picked up Porlyusica's letter. Giving it only a single glance before stuffing it back in his desk drawer. Leaning back in his chair, he tried his best to enjoy the view out his window. Feeling deep in his gut that soon peaceful moments like this would be rare and far too few. Sighing again, he roughly rubbed a wrinkled hand over his face. 'Why does it always have to be FairyTail?'
-To Rewrite Our Story-
It had been two days. Two long, exhausting days. Two days of sharing her apartment. Two days of cooking double portions at meals. Two days of finding random weapons and armor in the most peculiar places in her apartment. And two whole days of her home smelling of sickly sweet desserts. She loved her friend dearly. She truly did. But in the time span of three nights and two days, Lucy was about to crack.
When master Makarov had told Erza to keep an eye on her, Lucy doubted he meant to take baths together and to sleep in her small bed with her. Lucy groaned, rubbing her sore arm. She hadn't expected the requip mage to sleep with her armor on and had undoubtedly paid the price when low and behold, she discovered Erza was now a cuddler. Her right arm stayed bruised. And the half asleep feeling that constantly tingled up her arm throughout the day was not helping things. To make matters worse, Lucy was so stressed out that her sleep tonic was barely working. Letting her only peacefully rest for a few hours at most. She usually slept until she was awoken by her head being pulled roughly into Titania's chest plate.
Every. Single. Night.
Lucy's only reprieve was potty time. Erza had outright refused to watch as Lucy did her business. 'And thank Mavis for that!' she thought tiredly. It was still quite sad that Lucy's only peaceful moments were during bathroom breaks. But she refused to look a gift horse in the mouth. She'd take these precious moments and fully enjoy them to her heart's content.
Her thoughts quickly returned to her aching arm. 'I wish it would stop already. I don't need my writing arm completely out of commission.'
She supposed that was one good thing that had come from all this. She had more than enough time to write her novel. And it was progressing so well. 'A few more chapters and it'll be ready.' But she couldn't decide what to do then. She'd always dreamed of publishing her work. But the mere thought of how many people would read it sent a heavy blush over her face. It'd be so embarrassing. 'I'll just wait til it's finished and then ask Levy what she thinks I should do.'
She was then pushed from her train of thoughts by a curt knock.
"Lucy? Are you alright in there?"
At the sound of the red haired mage's voice coming from the next room, Lucy realized she had been in there longer than usual. Rushing about to finish her business, she flushed and then went to wash her hands. She raised her voice to be heard over the water coming from the faucet. "Yeah. I'll be right there."
Hearing Erza's retreating steps, she sagged a little against the sink counter.
'I guess I can't even get lost in my own thoughts.'
Finishing up, she exited the bathroom to find Erza leaning against the wall outside the doorway.
Erza pushed up from her spot on the wall, coming to stand beside her. "You sure everything is okay?"
Lucy nodded her head, hoping her teammate believed her. "Nothing's wrong Erza. I just got caught up thinking about my novel is all."
Perking up at the mention of Lucy's book, Erza gave her a soft smile. "You have been very busy with it as of late." She mentioned, turning she started to make her way to the entrance of Lucy's apartment. Lucy followed, grabbing her key pouch and bag along the way. After they locked up Lucy's apartment and had made their way out of the building and into the streets of Magnolia, Erza turned to her once again. "So how much longer til you're finished?" she asked as they headed towards the guildhall.
Gripping her bag strap, Lucy quickly matched her pace with the requip mage. "Only a few more chapters."
Erza nodded. "You've gotten further in it than you had before. With everything going on, I'm surprised you were able to concentrate."
Lucy thought about it and couldn't agree more. But writing kept her busy. And it helped her to not think about things. Like how she's practically a prisoner in her own home.
Sighing, Lucy could only shake her head at her teammate.
-TROS-
When they reached the guildhall, Lucy kept her head down as she had for the past few days. Her guildmates had quickly noticed Lucy's guard and would oftentimes just stare. It unnerved her. She knew that they were clueless to everything going on. They probably were just curious. But that still didn't help Lucy feel comfortable. Moving swifty, she sat at the bar. Making eye contact with no one. Erza took her seat beside her, facing slightly away to gauge their fellow mages. Kinana walked up and asked if they were hungry. Lucy, head still down, just asked for a simple burger while Erza ordered her signature piece of strawberry cake. While they waited for their food, Erza attempted to make small talk. Recounting the fierce story of her last mission and how she had yet to find a suitable weapon even remotely similar to the one her opponent had. Lucy barely listened, only nodding and agreeing where it was needed. Her main focus was on the other mages sitting farther down at the bar.
Freed sat, head bent, talking to Mirajane. Their voices were hushed but you could tell the conversation was important. Freed's mouth moved quickly. Mira smiled at him.
'Now what would those two possibly be talking about?'
Kinana came back with their food and Lucy was forced to put away this new information for later.
They ate in mostly silence. Erza casually sending side glances to her charge. She wasn't completely unaware of Lucy's grievances. She just knew that there was nothing she could do to remedy it. She was ordered to watch her. And she had followed those orders as thoroughly as she could. And she was glad she did. Lucy's sleep tonic hardly worked anymore. Erza was pretty sure the blonde didn't know what she whimpered in her sleep.
The great titania couldn't keep the grimace from her face just thinking of it. If what Lucy said in her sleep told Erza anything, it was that once the potion officially quit working things would really reach that point of no return. 'I'm barely handling it so I can just imagine how Natsu will take the news.' she thought forlornly.
Looking up toward the second floor where their Master probably waited patiently in his office for them, Erza sighed softly to herself. Things were definitely about to change. But would they be for the better? Or the worse?
Erza turned back to give her full attention to her cake. The sweet melt in your mouth sensation no longer bringing her comfort or joy.
They finished rather quickly much to Erza's disappointment. Her gaze locked on Lucy's half eaten food. That was something else that caused her concern. Her usually perky teammate's appetite had taken a dive as soon as Porlyusica's potion had weakened. Erza was lucky if their celestial mage ate a single meal. And the long bathroom breaks worried her as well. She knew Lucy had said she just got caught up in her thoughts. But she couldn't stop that one speck of doubt deep in her guts. It would eat at her and eat at her. Tearing her up from the inside out. And Erza hated it.
Telling Lucy she would return briefly and receiving a nod, Erza made her way to the second floor. Fully intent on giving her daily report to Makarov.
She was so deep into her thoughts that when she was standing before his office door she had to look back the way she had come. Completely unsure how she had made it there so quickly and not remembering even ascending the stairs.
Pulling herself together and making herself presentable, she gave a brisk knock before entering the office. Makarov sat behind his desk, already ready and had merely been waiting. Closing the door and walking forward, she stopped directly in front of him.
"Master" she said as she bowed her head in respect.
"Erza" he countered, hands folded in front of him professionally.
Erza bit her lip before deciding to get right to the point. "There's been a slight issue."
Their small master raised a single brow. "The sleep potion?" he questioned.
She nodded. "It seems to be slowly losing its effectiveness. She's sleeping less and less. Apparently that very first dose was the strongest."
Makarov rubbed his chin in thought. "Perhaps it just seemed that way since she had never taken it before." He sighed. "Or maybe something is making it weaken."
Titania nodded, having also thought that. "It's possible."
Makarov straightened in his seat. "We'll be having some of our guildmates return later today. I'll send one of them over to look her over when she arrives."
Erza looked at him questioningly. "Wendy?"
He nodded his head to confirm. "Yes. They should be arriving by this evening if everything goes according to plan."
Erza shifted uneasily on her feet. "That means Natsu will be returning as well."
He watched her with a critical eye. "Yes, it does."
"That will make things-" She cringed. "Difficult."
Makarov chuckled, amused at his child's reaction. "If that's an issue, I can always have someone else watch Lucy." He pondered to himself. "Perhaps Macao? Or maybe Wakaba?"
He watched as Erza's eyes twitched and a murderous aura surrounded her. Sweat collected against his brow and trailed slowly down his face. "Or not."
Clearing his throat, he collected himself. "Either way," he continued. "I already have a plan for that situation. So no need to worry."
Erza looked at him curiously, wondering just what their sneaky Master had hidden up his sleeve.
"Is there anything else to report?" Makarov asked.
Erza flinched. "Mainly it's just the potion. She hasn't really been eating well lately. But I'm pretty sure it has to do with her getting less sleep."
Makarov hmm'd as he rubbed his chin in thought. "Porlyusica said if it was necessary two doses could be taken at once. It wouldn't hurt Lucy any. So for now let's try that. I'll still send Wendy as soon as I can. But it might work even better if we somehow tire her out."
Erza's brows furrowed together. "Like a quick mission?"
Makarov shook his head. "No. Nothing that strenuous just yet. We need something easy and safe that will ultimately suck her dry of energy."
"Perhaps a girl's night then?" she suggested. "She'd be safe and it'd be nothing too taxing."
He nodded his head, fully thinking the idea over. Although some thoughts were more virtuous than others. "Yes. An all night thing with all the girls should do the trick."
Erza cocked a brow. "All night? With ALL the girl's?"
Makarov grinned impishly, lost in thought.
She looked at their Master suspiciously. "Wouldn't it be better with only a few of us? This is somewhat of a covert operation after all."
Makarov chuckled absently. "That may be true. But the more girls the better."
He visibly stiffened as the room temp suddenly dropped. Noticing his child's rising murderous intent and angered stance looming over him, he quickly explained. Sweat rolling down his face in his nervousness. "Well, Natsu would never even attempt to crash it if so many of the female guild members attended. And it's also more people to help in our plan. Although unknowingly. Hehe."
Erza glowered, making Makarov even more nervous. "I'll even help out and buy all the snacks." he mumbled, voice shaking.
Erza seemed to perk up a bit. "And cake?"
Makarov furiously nodded his head. "Anything you need."
The smile that lit up her face had him almost doubled over in relief. 'That was too close.'
"Very well. I shall inform Lucy of what's happening. I'll leave a list with Mirajane of everything that'll be needed." Erza swiftly made her way to the door. Opening it, she waved over her shoulder. "I'll report to you early tomorrow to let you know how it went." And with that she was gone.
Makarov slumped heavily in his chair. Sighing, he tilted his head back to stare at the ceiling. Just imagining how long that list would be and how big of a dent it would put in his wallet.
-To Rewrite Our Story-
Not even gonna lie. I half assed editing this Chapter. I forgot that classes start next week so I've been extremely busy trying to get my needed books together as well as school shopping for my kiddo. It's been hectic times 50. Pretty much forgot about uploading another chapter. So I rushed through it so I could post it. I promise this won't happen again. It was literally just a planning error. But enough excuses.
Also, I'm only gonna say this once. Everything is timed and mentioned for a reason that will be revealed later. There was a 2 day skip for a reason. Also, this chapter is short. Yes. Because the next chapter is gonna be big! BIG!
Next chapter is it guys! So get on the crazy train before we reach our destination! The next chapter will pretty much be the starting point for everything getting exciting. You don't want to miss it. And I will have it up Friday night.
Now real quick! With school, my kids, work, and everything else adulting includes. I won't be making another story. This story is finished on my laptop. I'll be uploading the chapters weekly. But no new chaptered stories. However, I am able to do oneshots. Little short stories. My question from the previous chapter still stands.
Who is your favorite manga/anime couple?!
Whichever one has the most likes, I'll do a oneshot for that couple. That simple. Message your answer or leave it in a review. Those who have already mentioned theirs, its been noted.
Don't forget to favorite/follow. Leave a review if you want.
Until next time!
