Heeeeyyyyy Guuuyyyyssss… hehehe…. Please don't kill me.

So I'm sure you've all noticed…. But I'm kinda late posting this… Very late…

I have a legit excuse. I swear. My nephew tried to download Roblox on my laptop. But I guess he downloaded a bootleg version or something. It crashed my brand new laptop. Like I haven't even had this thing half a year yet. Anyways, since it took a freaking week to get it fixed, I've been busy catching up on school work and my actual job. My boss was super mad cause I had downloaded super important files on here and I couldn't access them. I got quite the stern talking to. Like oh my god it was bad. But I am alive and the story is going on. But it really wasn't my fault. He knew he wasn't allowed to add stuff and he's been thoroughly reprimanded. He's officially on chore duty at my house. Which pretty much means when he gets off the bus at my house during the week, he has to do any chores I tell him to without complaint. Not gonna lie. I absolutely LOVE not having to do dishes at the moment. I thoroughly plan on having him mess up again just so I never have to touch a dirty dish again. The question is… can I keep it going for the next 8 years…. We shall see. lol

But to better news. Oh. My. God. You guys showed so much love! I love you all. You guys are great! I personally was so worried you all would hate the previous chapter. I just felt it was so long and that it wasn't exciting enough. I wanted you guys to literally breathe in the suspense. But alas, I am not a professional writer. So I was deeply concerned I'd disappoint you all. I'm so glad you guys liked it! It made me so happy! :)

This next chapter is a doozy. You're gonna see what exactly happened and also some other point of views. Also, a little foreshadowing. Cause I'm horrible about it. If you looked closely, I left little hidden gems in every chapter. It's a hobby of mine lol

I wanna say thank you to all who reviewed, favorited and or followed. I'm not gonna list everyone cause the list is getting ridiculously long. I might in another chapter. But for now I'll just give a shout out to the newcomers who have joined our journey.

I love you all! And thank you from the bottom of my heart! Yall make this so much better! And welcome to the adventure!

To those who reviewed:

LRCN: I warned you. I really did. I said big and I meant BIG. lol I hope you enjoyed it though!

Forbidden-Hanyou: You are steadily becoming one of my favorite reviewers. Mostly because everytime I read your reviews I get this cocky attitude. Like I'm the best writer ever. I'm not. But your words make me think I am and I love all the love! And the fact that you easily predicted what would be in this chapter makes me so happy. I hope I do it justice!

Amanny: You've been with me since the very beginning. And the fact that you still like the story means the world to me. I hope to continue keeping your interest :)

Guest: I wish you would at least leave a name or something to call you by. This feels so impersonal and I hate it. But I'm glad my little story captured your attention. And I hope this chapter does the same:)

Spazzstar201: Awe:) Thank you! Like I mentioned earlier, I'm always worried over whether I'm communicating the "atmosphere" of a scene to the audience clearly enough. I want you guys to enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. That fact that you enjoyed the suspense and clearly captured it makes me so happy! And you complimented my writing style. I'm constantly degrading my work. (Always the perfectionist -blegh) So you liking it means the world to me. I hope you enjoy this next chapter as much as the last. :)

Sango531: Thank you! But just wait. It hasn't even peaked in potential yet!

Simidaqxeen: Aww. Thank you!

Kaisha: Je vous remercie! Je suis si contente que tu le penses! Avoir quelqu'un qui aime tant l'histoire est une perfection absolue. J'espère que vous aimez ce nouveau chapitre. (I hope I said that correctly. It's been a few years since I learned French and had to use it.)

I NEED MORE: *insert huge computer hug here* Thank you! Really. And I'm glad to help. And aww. The first reviewer to pledge loyalty to the story. You know in those movies where some lowly person has some amazing person pledge their life and soul to their cause. That's what this feels like. Just complete admiration and shock. Thank you!

DarkAndromeda06: Thank You for reviewing! I will be getting to everyone's reactions soon. Kinda want to express the major characters first and soon you guys will all know the effects of this happening. I promise. I know you asked for it soon… I'm sorry :/ I'll try to be quicker.

Now, with everything out of the way, on with the story!

Disclaimer: I own some FairyTail merch. But not FairyTail in general. Boo.

-Previously on To Rewrite Our Story-

Suddenly, the pain escalated to newer heights. Burning and ripping flesh from me. One final scream from my lungs and then I was suddenly thrown back into the void.

Surrounded by black nothingness.

Seeping into my entire being, taking control.

Unable to see or hear anything.

Feel anything.

And just like that, the darkness swallowed me.

-To Rewrite Our Story-

(Erza's P.O.V)

The room had been enveloped in a peaceful hum of soft snores and sleepy mutterings. I myself had been deep into a dream of moonlit hills and a blue haired mage. Even in my sleep, I knew a dream induced smile had crested my lips. It was indeed a wonderful ending to a perfect night.

But starry skies soon filled with dark rain clouds. The sound of thunder distant but approaching. A burst of lightning lit up the sky bringing with it a high pitched scream.

At that, I had shot up from my sleeping bag. Still partially asleep but high on alert. The screaming continued. Bursting my ear drums and filling me with a complete sense of dread. Flinging my bag away, I started to stand.

A small body collapsed onto mine. Sending me sprawled onto the floor. A head of long blue hair filled my vision, as nails clawed at me. Trying desperately to get away. Once out of my lap, Wendy continued to crawl away backwards. Her eyes shaking in terror and disbelief. Never once looking away from the bed. Another scream filled the room.

I stood quickly, making it to the bed in two strides. A hand firmly on my sword. The sight that met me made me freeze.

Lucy laid curled up into a ball on top of her covers. Screaming as blisters boiled over her right arm. I looked back at Wendy, noticing a few others had started to wake up. Wendy sat in a far corner, arms wrapped around herself. Silent tears pouring out of her eyes.

Another scream was released and I jumped, kneeling on the bed hesitantly.

"Lucy. Lucy, can you hear me?" I reached out to grab her shoulder. Her body jerked back and she sobbed loudly. My hand stilled. Just floating there. 'What do I do?' I asked myself.

Lucy's other arm had reached up to pull her injured one to her chest, nails sinking into the flesh making some blisters burst. Blood and serum* mixed, staining her sleep shirt a pink color.

Another scream ripped from her mouth, freezing me to my core. 'What is this? What is going on? WHAT DO I DO!?'

A figure pushed past me, to kneel beside Lucy's body. "Lucy!" Long white hair swayed as they leaned over Lucy. Gently shaking her shoulders to wake her up. I vaguely noticed others coming up beside me, watching as the take over mage took charge.

"Erza." Someone shook my shoulder. I glanced over my shoulder to see the tear stained face of Levy. "Erza! You have to help her!" she sobbed.

I just stared at her. Seeing her but not really. Another scream drew my attention back to what was unfolding in front of me. "ERZA PLEASE!"

Suddenly I was shoved hard from behind, jarring me from my trance. I barely caught myself against the bedpost. Whipping my head around to see who thought they could hit me. Cana stood there fuming but her watery eyes told otherwise. She was scared. "Erza! Do something!"

I nodded before taking a spot on the opposite side of Lucy. All the while thinking of anything that would help.

I watched as Mira firmly shook Lucy's shoulders. "Lucy, you've got to snap out of it sweetie."

The screams only grew louder. Echoing off the walls. How the neighbors didn't hear it was a mystery. Some of the girls were sobbing now as they watched on.

Mira looked at me, her own eyes teary. "Erza, she's bleeding. We've got to get her arm away before she makes it worse."

I nodded, reaching forward to pull her good arm back while Mira reached out to remove her injured one.

Everything then happened so quickly. Mira's hands had barely brushed Lucy's arm when suddenly Lucy lashed out. Her injured arm smacking straight into Mira. Sending her flying across the room to roughly crash into the bookshelves opposite the bed. Mira's body had immediately slumped to the floor motionless. Books and broken wood falling over her prone form.

Lisanna screamed out for her elder sister before rushing to her side. With Cana's help they hurriedly cleared away the debris. A loud sob escaped Lisanna as they pulled Mira's lax body away from the mess. My eyes shot to the corner where Wendy remained huddled, Carla hugging her head tightly while she watched on with wide eyes.

"Wendy!" I yelled, knowing I had her attention when her eyes met mine. "Go make sure Mirajane is okay!" She didn't move for a moment. Still in shock. Until Carla gently pulled her up towards the fallen girl.

A sob sounded from beside me, taking my attention. Lucy began to shake as she wailed. Arms flailing.

"Lucy!" I yelled, shaking her shoulders like Mira had. "You've got to wake up!" I could hear the panic in my own voice. The fear.

Her head started turning side to side as her hands grasped the bed sheets tightly.

"LUCY!"

Suddenly her eyes snapped open, startling me enough to release her. I watched as she cringed at the sudden brightness. And a sigh of relief almost slipped past my lips.

She had curled back up, huddling into a ball. 'She's probably in a lot of pain.' I absently thought. I had thought the worst was over with.

Until she released another scream. This one even more terrifying than the others.

I tried to forcefully roll her back over but she wouldn't budge. 'Since when had she been stronger than me?' A sob escaped her before another scream filled the room.

The scent of burning flesh had my eyes tearing and my heart thundering inside my chest. I put every ounce of my strength into turning her over, only getting her left arm away. But that was all I needed to finally see what was happening.

I flung myself to the side of the bed before leaning over and retching. Tears now slipping down my face. Looking back, I caught the gag in my throat before I could throw up again. The skin all along Lucy's right arm was smoldering. Her fingers were singed black. In various spots, the skin was burnt away. Giving way to pulsating tissue. Blood and serum* oozed down her arm, creating a puddle on the sheets. Lucy's good arm reached back around, curling her whole body around her injured one as she continued to sob.

Suddenly her nails dug in and before I could even move to stop her, Lucy was tearing away burnt skin. RIpping and pulling.

This time her scream echoed in my very soul. I threw myself at her, pulling her arms away. She flailed, struggling against me. Other hands started pulling and tugging as Evergreen, Juvia, and Cana joined in. Grabbing whatever they could hold onto, they held fast. Lucy arched and thrashed about. Trying desperately to free herself.

I grabbed her face, trying to get her to see me. "LUCY! YOU HAVE TO CALM DOWN!" Her eyes flickered this way and that.

She let out one final scream and then it was silent as her eyes fluttered closed.

My heart stopped inside my chest as I watched her whole body go limp.

'Oh god.' I started to panic. My hands fumbling to her neck, trying to find a pulse. 'No no no no no.' I couldn't find one. Was I even doing this right? Oh god.

"Wendy!" I screamed as I shoved my ear against Lucy's chest. Listening. "WENDY!"

She was suddenly there, her small hands pushing me out of the way. I fell back, scrambling backwards until my back hit the headboard. I watched and waited as Wendy moved her head across the still blonde's chest. After what seemed like days, she lifted her head to make eye contact with me. "It's there but it's really faint." And then I was releasing the breath I hadn't even known I had held. Looking around, I finally took in the entire room.

The bookshelves were completely destroyed and littered the floor with books and wooden splinters. The wall was cracked. Sleeping bags laid strewn about the floor as well as bags. The bed was completely wrecked. The sheets were ripped and torn. In various spots it was stained dark pink. The blond herself looked worse for wear. Her arm still bleeding heavily at her side.

"We have to go," I croaked out, my voice broken and strained from all the screaming. I got up on my feet, moving to quickly put my shoes on.

From there everything blurred together.

Before I even realized it, we were all sullenly parading through the streets. Wendy led the group silently. Carla beside her, rubbing her arms in comfort.

Cana and Lisanna were next, both trying to carry the unconscious Mirajane without jostling her too much. Juvia and Evergreen were behind them, keeping in step with a distraught Levy. None talking.

I brought up the rear, carrying Lucy in my arms. A random blanket draped over her.

The whole way back to the guild my mind raced. I couldn't figure out how any of this had happened. Why it had happened. In what lifetime did Lucy deserve this?

Over and over the same questions repeated. And my mind grasped at foolish reasoning. At hope.

Our procession made it to the guild hall fairly quickly. Or maybe I just hadn't been too aware of the actual time and surroundings. A burst of shame hit me. What if we had been attacked? Or worse during our journey? I wouldn't have even noticed. Far too focused on my own inner turmoil. I could do better than this. I AM better than this.

Finding my resolve, I straightened my back. This was no time to be weak.

Looking to the young face of my dear comrade limply bobbing around to each step I took, I knew. At this exact moment, I had to be strong.

For Lucy.

-TROS-

(WENDY's POV)

We had made it to the guild hall in one piece. But even then as our lingering guildmates gathered around us, questioned us and comforted us. I just couldn't let go off the fear that trembled through every inch of me.

I mechanically maneuvered my way through the gathered crowd. It was like I was there but just spectating. I couldn't feel the cold air outside during the trek. I couldn't hear the questions spewing from our friend's and family's lips. I was numb to it all. Just watching.

Lucy's screams echoed in my head. Haunting me. I knew she was unconscious. Could see the proof everytime I looked at Erza. But I just couldn't get the sound out of my head.

It followed me.

From the doorway all the way to the back corner of the guild where I sat and tried to make myself as invisible as possible. It stayed with me. I barely noticed Carla in my periphery. Rubbing my back and trying to calm me more than likely. But I just couldn't hear it over the screaming.

I watched as Erza followed the master up the guild stairs, making her way to the infirmary no doubt. Her face set with determination. Elfman followed closely behind, his older sister nestled in his arms. When he had taken her from his younger sibling, I didn't know.

They made their way up before disappearing through a door. Glancing around the ground floor, I took in the other girls. Levy had collapsed at a table near the entrance along with Juvia. Gray stood behind them, speaking softly. Evergreen stood at the bottom of the stairs, possibly waiting for Elfman to return so she could seek comfort in his arms. Lisanna sat not far from her. Her shoulders shook as she sobbed into her hands. Then there was Cana seated at the bar. Not a single drink sat before her. She just sat staring at the counter in shock and disbelief.

I couldn't really blame them. I myself couldn't believe what had happened. When that very first scream had ripped from Lucy's mouth, I couldn't move. Frozen in terror. And then her arm had blistered right before my eyes. No fire. No heat. And yet there they were. And instead of helping I had fled in fear.

'I'm not a healer. I'm a coward.' I cringed at the thoughts. But they were true. I could have helped. I should have helped. But instead I ran.

I lowered my head to stare at my lap. 'I'm no dragon slayer.' This time I could feel the tears running down my face. I watched as each one that fell was absorbed by my pajama pants. My body trembled. 'I'm just a scared little girl.'

-TROS-

The wind picked up, swaying the local vegetation back and forth at it's whim.

Two dark figures paused in their long journey home. Both exceedingly tired and wishing for a warm bed to sleep in.

"I don't see why we couldn't have stopped a few hours back." The slimer figure spoke. "That one clearing would have worked."

The other slowed to a stop before sending an annoyed scowl to his companion. "Listen here Salamander. I just want to get home as soon as possible."

The salmon haired boy perked up at this. "Why? Got plans or something, Metal Face?"

Gajeel sneered. "No." he responded curtly before continuing down the path. His mind a million miles away. 'What is this feeling? Why can't I shake it?" He thought gruffly. Ever since the sun had set, this strange emotion had settled over him. Made him feel useless and completely powerless. It made him want to get home as soon as possible.

Natsu merely shrugged as he followed. His hands shifted gently to not disturb the sleeping ball of blue fur in his arms.

They continued on in silence until they came to a large clearing. Looking up to the open sky, he abruptly stopped.

"Hey Gajeel," He quietly hollered.

Said man stopped, turning to fix the fire breather with an exasperated look. "What now Ash for Brains?"

Natsu continued to stare at the sky, never once lowering his gaze. Nodding to the open sky above them, he asked. "Is the sky supposed to be like that?"

With a deep sigh, Gajeel leaned his head back. Then his eyes widened at the sight before him. The sky had turned a dark crimson, almost black. Stars twinkled brightly before streaking across the sky. One after another it happened. Gajeel couldn't contain the gasp that escaped his lips as that strange feeling completely surrounded him. Suffocating him.

The heavens were falling.

-To Rewrite Our Story-

Hehehehehehehe… I'm horrible. I leave you wanting for so long then leave yall with this. I'm going to hell. I know this. But this isn't the end. Next will be other POVs and even a closer look at Lucy's ailments.

**Now you all seen where I mentioned serum. It's literally just the clear, watery liquid that leaks from neighboring tissue as a reaction to the injury/burn. It's supposed to act as a natural protection for the skin underneath it but only if the blister remains unopened. So if you ever pop a blister, its the clear fluid that oozes out. Also, it's an old wives tale but never pop a blister in the day light. Only once the sun has set. It hurts less and is supposed to have the skin heal better and not scar. It's not true but in the south, where I'm from, we're literally taught this our whole life. Seems like some Wiccan stuff if you ask me. If you pop your blister at night, the moon will heal it without a scar. Lol I love wiccan stuff so… But we live on the bible belt so it's strange. But yeah. You learned something new and even discovered a southern myth. You're welcome. :p

The next update should be over the weekend. I'm gonna try to fix this whole schedule mix up crap. I just wanted yall to have this as soon as possible. We'll be on a fixed schedule before long. Promise. Oh and keep on submitting your favorite anime/manga couples. So far Na/Lu is in the lead with 2 votes. But some of the other suggestions have intrigued me. This is the last chance. Next update I'm listing all that have been suggested so far and we'll decide from there.

Sooo…. Until next time!
