Just writing this one-shot to keep my writing skills fresh, since I sometimes gotta write other things besides The Brother Of Hercules and A Saiyan's Muyo just to keep things loose.

Also, I can't help but see a resemblance between Naruto and Aquaman, personality-wise that is.

I hope everyone enjoys this and that hopefully someone adopts this and the others soon.

The True King Of The Seas

Chapter 1

Pilot

Wave Village

Unfinished Bridge

At the moment things weren't looking too good for team 7, first Sasuke was "dead" with Sakura not really being helpful since she was a weak fan-girl, as for Kakashi he was about to target Zabuza with his Chidori through the missing-nin's chest, with his apprentice standing in front of Zabuza about to take the hit.

But before Kakashi could even connect his fist through Haku, a certain spiky haired blond got in the way, using his arms to try and shield his chest from the stab, though the good news is, Kakashi had quickly closed his fist and tried to stop the voltage as quickly as he could, but the bad news is that due to his forward momentum, along with not stopping his chakra fast enough, the sensei had ended up sending a taser-like punch to Naruto's arms.

This made the blond both fly backwards, knocking the enemies away, but also sending the unpredictable spinning over the edge of he bridge, yet because of the lightning still running through his system, his whole body was completely numb, with the last thing he heard as he hit the water below was his name being yelled out by his teammate, Sakura.

On The Bridge

Kakashi was about to jump in to save Naruto, but a voice on the unfinished end of the bridge caught his attention, "Well it seems you only managed to kill a couple of them Zabuza, but even still, you are far too weak now, so I won't have to pay you for the job since two of them are still alive, as well as the bridge builder, hell, I'm still gonna cash-in your bounty now that you and your apprentice are weak enough for my guys to kill." Exclaims the backstabbing ass-hole.

Hearing this the three ninjas agreed that since the contract was practically null and void after Gato said that, so they got ready to attack, since even though they may be tired, they could still face off against these lowlife thugs.

Yet Kakashi was still hoping that after fighting the thugs and killing Gato, that there's still hopefully a chance to save Naruto, but because of Gato and his hired goons, the rest of his team are still vulnerable, with Sasuke in a weakened state and Sakura a useless fan-girl, so he needs to hurry before Naruto drowns.

Underwater

As that was going on, Naruto with slowly sinking deeper under the water, the current sending him into an out cove underwater, sending him further down, he suddenly touched down to the seabed of the underwater grotto, unable to move because of the lightning chakra through his system, the area around his arms were bleeding slightly.

Suddenly a large object began moving towards him, wrapping around him and pulling him up, he was close to unconsciousness, but just as the mass was about to pull him towards it, the object shudders as Naruto's blood from his clothes touched it, it then moved him towards something shining with a glowing pulse emanating from it.

He was slowly on the brink of drowning, darkness was edging his vision, the object wrapped around him loosened enough for him to pull an arm out, the numbness from the lightning leaving him, allowing him to reach out towards the object until he grabbed it, then suddenly everything became bright, a white light covering everything in sight and blinding anyone or anything that tries to see what was happening.

The Bridge

While Zabuza had managed to kill a few thugs, along with ending Gato's life, the man was too injured to continue, Haku had tried to protect him, but the ice-user had to fight the other thugs, being unable to help Zabuza, the same could be said for Kakashi, they were practically drowning in thugs, if only Zabuza had the full functioning of his arms, he could've used his sword to kill more than just a few, but all he had was a kunai in his mouth with his arms hanging uselessly.

Just as things began looking bleak for the group, a large spiralling water column suddenly rushed up just past the bridge, catching everyone's attention and leaving them wide eyed.

Suddenly from the column jumped a slightly taller, muscular, shoulder length blond with whiskers, with the ninjas and bridge builder recognising because of the whiskers as he lands in front of them, his outfit though was changed completely, his outfit includes pants, boots and green gloves and his shirt that covers the chest and abs of a bright golden colour, all with a scaly-like marine theme to it.

But what really caught everyone's attention, for in his hand was a long golden trident, which hummed with strange power.

Just as Naruto straightened up, standing much taller than Sasuke and Sakura by a head if they were next to him, his eyes suddenly shot open, but instead of the deep blue like that of the ocean, they were now an electric yellow, glowing with unknown power, looking around Naruto's eyes landed on the thugs that Kakashi, Zabuza and Haku were standing against, or in the case of the wounded Zabuza with swords and spears sticking out of his back, kneeling in exhaustion.

Naruto soon got into a low stance, pointing the trident prongs down and in the middle of himself, before he suddenly began chanting a strange vocal from his throat, with it being deep, showing how his sudden change also made him sound stronger as well. (A.N. The Haka chant.)

Hearing such a chant, the thugs became scared, with Kakashi and Sakura wondering what happened to him to have such a change, though Sakura was blushing slightly at Naruto's sudden developed muscles.

As soon as Naruto finished his chant, he rushed towards the thugs, using the trident to bash them away, literally, due to his sudden growth he was sending the thugs flying miles into the air, only to die instantly once they landed, ether on rocks or in the ocean is anyone's guess, once man tried to stab Naruto with a spear, with the others trying to warn him.

But to their shock, the spear didn't even pierce Naruto, it didn't even pierce his scale-like shirt, Naruto didn't even move, yet the large man was grunting trying to make the spear move forward, yet all Naruto did was look down in curiosity, then back up at the man with a look that pretty much tells everyone 'Really?' Which tells Kakashi and Sakura, that even though he's changed, Naruto will still be Naruto.

The blond soon grabs and yanks the spear man towards himself, then just like the rest bashes him away.

Soon it was over, and the bridge was cleared of the thugs, just in time for Inari and the villages to see Naruto bash the last one away as well, since the thugs didn't have any ninja training they were easily defeated.

Though Zabuza knew, he was about to pass on due to his wounds, along with passing kubikiribocho to Haku, once the dust had settled and the enemy has been defeated, he couldn't help but chuckle weakly, "So, the legend about Atlantis and King Arthur was true after all."

This gained Kakashi's and Sakura's attention, wondering what the man was talking about, "What do you mean Zabuza!?"

Zabuza just looked towards Kakashi, "In Kiri, there was a legend about a city that lived hidden underwater, the people there were able to breath underwater and lived their lives just like the surface people, with one man being of both worlds, a man named Arthur Curry, he also went by the name, Aquaman."

Having a slight coughing fit, with Haku trying to help in someway, Zabuza knew he wasn't long for this world, but needed to pass on what he remembers of the legend, "From what I can remember, it said that the city of Atlantis fell after a cataclysmic event, the legend doesn't say what it is, but in Aruther's last breath, he called forth a giant sea monster to hide his trident away again, until the next heir to Atlantis returns again, with the monster guarding it until someone worthy can use the trident that Aquaman was worthy of."

Slowly, Zabuza's eyes began closing, but he managed to pass one last message, "The Trident Of Atlan." He exclaims in his last breath, allowing everyone to know the truth about the trident in Naruto's hands, though Haku was crying for Zabuza's passing, even the ice user couldn't believe such a thing to happen, that Naruto was worthy to wield such a powerful weapon thought to be only a fairy tale that parents told their children.

Yet here was Naruto, a boy from Konoha, with the trident in his hands, yet Haku couldn't help but say out loud, "The One True King Of The Seas." Yet Kakashi couldn't but realise that Naruto's Uzumaki blood was probably the key to him being worthy, at least from all the stories Kushina use to tell him before the fox attacked, but how will everyone react now.

The End.

There you have it, a slightly different twist from the last Naruto/Aquaman Crossover that I did last time, but again, hopefully someone will adopt my ideas.

As for the pairing(s) I'll leave that up to whoever adopts.
