Okay, so remember how I said I would have this up before the end of the weekend? Well it's true! I do have it up! Hahaha, it's not midnight here for me yet, so technically I did keep my promise.
"This job reeks, man," I complained.
"Oh shut it. You're the one who chose this job for us," Lucy countered.
Dammit, she has me there.
I looked at her as we walked through the forest. Turns out all the customer wanted was for us to look for her cat. So the four of us split into groups of two. The job description didn't mention anything about it. In fact, there was hardly a job description to begin with. Erza and Gray were definitely pissed at me. I shivered at the thought of what Erza would do when we got back to the guild. But even that was hardly consuming my thoughts right now.
Lucy and I had been walking for a while now and throughout that entire time I couldn't stop thinking about this week. Everything about it had been kind of flip floppy. At first he went from being shy, to doubtful, to bold, and surely confusing.
"Lucy?"
"Hmmm?"
"C-can we talk about what's happened this week?" I know we're on a job right now… but I this needs to be talked about.
Lucy perked up a little bit, "Uh, sure what is it Natsu?"
"I just… I just wanted to apologize if I've been confusing in any way. All of my actions have a purpose behind them and I'm still trying to figure out how to make things happen the way I want them to… and I'm not too good with my words so…" Just say it Natsu! "soooooo…"
She looked at me while we were still walking, "So what?"
I stared her straight in her beautiful brown eyes, "I love you."
Her eyes grew wide and she immediately turned her head facing the other direction.
Panic grew inside of me, "L-Look Luce, I'm sorry if you didn't want to hear that, hahaha, especially in this kind of environment. I mean, I'm probably pretty stupid to think that this is the right time and place to confess something like that, hahaha, so I-"
"I love you, too," I heard – barely a whisper.
"H-huh?"
This time she stopped and took a step towards me, "I love you, too."
"Y-you do!? But… but I mean…"
"Natsu, I don't care this is the place that you decided to say you love me. I don't care at all. All I care about is that you've said it, period."
I… I can't believe she does love me. I barely guessed that she does based off of her actions lately. I'm not so stupid that I don't know the difference between love and lust and I know I feel both for her, but to actually hear her say those words… it was mind boggling.
"Natsu? You okay?" Lucy looked concerned. Shit, I was just standing there like an idiot!
"Sorry… sorry I just, can't believe that you do."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Nono, I don't mean it that way, just that I never would've guessed you'd fall for someone like me is all. Someone more… princely? Like Loke or something."
"Yeah, you're right. I would've thought the same thing, too," she smiled. "I had always dreamed of marrying a prince. That was, however, until I met you. You brought me to Fairy Tail for crying out loud! We went on all those jobs and you did all of those things for me, just to make me happy. I found myself falling for you more and more as each day passed. It just kind of… happened… Plus," she smirked. "You're a pretty hot dragon slayer."
Holy… shit. I just stared at her.
"What?" she asked.
This girl. Finds me attractive?
"B-but I'm loud."
She thought about it, "Yep."
"And destructive."
"Mhm."
"I eat like a pig."
"For sure."
"And you think I'm hot?"
"Every inch."
This girl is amazing.
I immediately pulled her in a smashed my mouth on hers. A second thereafter she wrapped her arms around my body and melted into my body. My hands held her back as the kiss grew more and more heated. Our mouths were meshing and moving against each other. Her mouth was so soft and so warm. I was determined to take everything this girl had to offer, and make it mine. We broke away for a moment to catch our breath and I rested my forehead on hers.
"That was…" she breathed.
"Yeah."
"But should we really be doing this here?"
I turned us around and pushed her up against a tree, "Do you really think I'm going to let you say all of that and not get away with it?" I placed my hands on either side of her on the tree, pushed my body into hers and kissed her again. This one was far more passionate. Once again our mouths were moving against each other. I could barely suppress my moan as I felt her soft hands run up my stomach.
My mouth moved to her neck; my hands moved up her sides, landing just beneath her bust. I sucked on her neck until I heard her whimper. When I pulled away, she took my hands and placed them right onto her breasts. The sound that came out of her mouth was the most erotic thing I ever heard and it took everything I had to not to take her right then there. Then again… we are in a forest.
All of a sudden, it turned out that I was the one whose back was against the tree. When did she…?
Lucy bit her lip as she smiled at me with her hands resting on my chest. They began to make their way down my front; I could feel her fingers moving slowly over my abdomen. When her hands reached my pants I looked down at her.
"Lu-" she silenced me with a kiss.
Just as she started to undo my belt, a giant commotion was coming from nearby.
"Great," Natsu growled.
"MISTER MITTENS COME BACK!"
And out of the bushes popped Gray.
Silence and awkwardness grew as Gray stared at the two of us in each other's embrace.
Gray crossed his arms, "Well, now that's just wrong."
Lucy and I jumped apart, both of our faces blood red. "I'm gonna pound your face in Gray!" I said.
Lucy held me back, but Gray said, "You were supposed to be finding the cat and yet you're here sucking face. I won't tell Erza. But for Lucy's sake though."
"Why you lil' shi-"
"Natsu, please!" Lucy stopped me. She turned to Gray, "Didn't you almost have the cat though?"
"SHIT, THE CAT! C'MON GUYS," Gray yelled and all three of us ran in the direction of the cat.
Lucy and I exchanged looks every now and then and every time I could feel my body heat up. I need to have her.
