Chapter 7:The Unlikely Encounter

(At the Titans' tower)

The titans are busy doing with their hobbies. Robbin is busy practicing his martial arts in the gym, Starfire is busy reading Earthling's fashion magazine for teenage girls in her room, Raven is busy meditating on the rooftop as she floats in midair, and Cyborg and Beast Boy...needless to say, busy competing with each other over a fighting game: Future Fighter XO. These two never stop playing electronic entertainment.

"THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME BB?!" Cyborg taunted his best friend as he kept smashing the buttons.

"I DON'T THINK SO! THIS TIME I WILL WIN!" Beast Boy replied with confidence as he gets ready to do his ultimate move. While he holds down the attack buttons, he pressed on the D-Pad: left, right, up and down rapidly to do the special attack. When he succeeded it, his character shouted out a war cry and goes to grab Cyborg's character waist like an angry bull. The character grabbed the opponent's waist and was about to perform the character's signature move: Siberian Express.

But that didn't happen when Cyborg performed a counter-attack to cancel the ultimate move. He held down two attack buttons and pressed up on the D-Pad at the same time. His character acknowledges Cyborg's order and goes to grab Beast Boy's character's head with both legs.

"HUH?!" Beast Boy widens his eyes as he saw Cyborg's character, canceling his special attack.

Cyborg made a big devilish smile and knew that Beast Boy will pull the same ultimate move on his character. "HAHA! I GOT YOU NOW! TAKE THIS!"

He smashed the buttons like a professional gamer and performed the ultimate move that can only work when your character cancels the opponent's move. When that happens, Cyborg's character gave a smug face at Beast Boy's character as 'she' executed a mixture of Fatal Leg Twister and Cannon Spike.

The attack is like this. She first grabbed the head with her two thick thighs. Teenager boys will love to get their head grabbed by a beautiful woman's thighs, but if you are fighting someone who joins in the British's special forces, it is a nightmare. Especially, Cyborg's character.

She then threw the opponent's body up into the air and used her hands to push away from the ground as it gives her the momentum to deliver a powerful kick. The kick was so powerful that it knocked out Beast Boy's character with one hit!

"KO!" the match announcer shouted. Beast Boy's character let out his defeat cry as he landed slowly on the ground. Cyborg's character landed on her feet after she defeated the muscular Russian wrestler.

"WINNER! CYBORG!" the match announcer congratulated Cyborg's victory as his character blew a kiss to her player. This made the half mechanic boy jump up from the couch. He was so happy that he won the game. He began his victory dance: The Cabbage Patch.

"BOOYAH! I won again BB! HAHA! Go, Cyborg! Go Cy! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! I'm awesome! Super awesome! Mmm Hmm~!"

Beast Boy dropped his control on the floor and faced his head down on the floor with disappointment. This is the 'fifth time' in a row he lost the match. No matter how much he practiced the same character to beat his best friend, (Well, Beast Boy's character is the strongest but also the most difficult one to use, so it is his own fault to not know much about the character's usability) he couldn't bear fruit.

"OH COME ON!" Beast Boy cried out."How did I lose this time?! I mean, really?!"

"Well, your moves are so predictable BB. That's why."

Cyborg's provoke made the mutant boy get on his nerves. "I WANT A REMATCH!"

"Really~? Do you want a rematch~? You have to think it carefully buddy~." the way he said to his beat friend really pisses him off. In a harmless way. I mean if it involves killing, that is not good.

"YEAH!" Beast Boy replied.

"Well then! Let's-" he was about to say "Let's do one more!" but the Titan's tower alarm stopped them to have a rematch. Robin, Starfire, and Revan heard the siren as they rushed towards the living room.

Robin as the first one to enter the room and told the other two boys "No time for a rematch, guys! We have trouble!"

Cyborg and Beast Boy quickly shut off the game and activate the Titan's Eye. What it is, it's a big computer that keeps an eye on the Jump City's public order. In other words, it is a big security system that watches all over the city. The time square, the abandoned working site, shady dark streets, the funfair, the forest, and even the beach.

Cyborg began to use the Titan's Eye to locate the criminal activity. While he does it, the other two female heroes finally came into the living room.

"Are we late?" Starfire asked.

Robin looked back at the two heroines and shook his head. "No. You are just in time." He then asked Cyborg whether he had located the criminal activity. "Have you found it, Cyborg?"

The half mechanic man gave him and the other members a thumbs up as he showed the red blinking dot on the screen. "Got it."

Robin looked at the locations carefully and figured out the district's location...with a bit of a surprise.

"No..it can't be..." he said quietly.

"What is it, Robin?" Starfire asked.

"It's...the same place where we investigated the mysterious homicide!"

"WHAT?!" Beast Boy cried out. "Are you sure?"

The leader nodded. "Yes, I'm sure."

"Wait a minute...are you telling me the killer has finally revealed his identity? On that SAME SPOT?" Cyborg wondered. "I mean if that's true, I would not do that."

"What do you mean?" the alien girl asked her close friend. Cyborg began to explain to her as he quickly changed into a university professor outfit in a comical way. He summoned a whiteboard out of nowhere and drew a picture of a street and the killer that has a question mark on his face

"Well, let say you are a criminal, Okay? If you want to do some robbings and killings on the street, you would want to do your 'mission' in different areas. For example, you committed a crime on Monday. Then the police will go and found you. To not get caught by them, you have to lay low in your hiding place for...let say few hours or one day. After that, when the coast is clear, you go to a different area to resume your criminal activity. You would not want to go back to your previous place, because the cops are still there patrolling around that area. It is very risky to do it, and it is a dead giveaway to get caught by the police. Do you understand Starfire?"

"Ohhh~, yes I do Cyborg." Starfire understood Professor Cyborg's lecture and gave him applause for teaching her the basic rules of becoming a criminal. But she won't become one though.

"Maybe...the killer had finally given up his crimes and wants to get arrested?" Raven asked. She does have a point. But that doesn't explain why it has to be in that area where people usually avoid walking around that district. Because that district's location is next to the abandoned worksite, which leads to...

"Wait a minute...I think I know why." Robin finally solved the mysterious killing spree case as he snapped his fingers.

"Really?" Beast Boy asked.

"Yes. Cyborg, can you zoom out around that area a little bit?"

"Umm sure, Robin?" He did it what he was told. "How's this?"

"A little more..."

"A little more...how about now?"

"Just one more..."

"Alright...Is this enough?"

"Yes! Now, can you display all the past homicide incidents for this month?"

Cyborg gave him a questioning look. "Why?"

"You'll see," Robin replied.

Cyborg showed all the past incidents as a red dot on the map as he placed every specific location that happened in each every other day. When he did it, Cyborg and the other Titan's members except Robin were very surprised to see at how close that the killings had happened around that area.

The killing that happened yesterday was in the neighborhood's alleyway. But the day before yesterday's killing took place on the other alleyway around the closed shopping street. The shopping street's alleyway connects to the neighborhood's alleyway, which later leads to the...abdandoned working site. And behind the abandoned work site is where...the Underground City's main entrance is!

"It connects...! This is the reason why the killer succeeds in his crimes around that area! It is because he went to the Underground City where no police officer can enter! That's how he covered his tracks!" Robin explained it to his fellow Titans.

"But didn't the police heavily sealed the main entrance?" Starfire asked.

"Maybe the killer knows how to get in. A secret passageway or something" Cyborg theorized the killer's moves.

"Of course! That's what the mastermind criminals do in every detective movie! Because the main entrance is heavily sealed..."

"There is another way in where the police don't know it's existence." Revan helped to finish Beast Boy's sentence.

"Then we better find this killer before he escapes. Titans GO!" And they raced to the scene to catch the killer.

(At the abandoned working site)

When they reached the destination, the sky has turned dark. It is evening. The Titans are now approaching the crime scene as they quietly walk on the ground. They do not want the killer to know they are here. Cyborg is in front because he has a torchlight on his right shoulder. When they got closer to the location, Cyborg and the other Titans heard a rapid-firing sound.

"?!" Cyborg quickly gave them a hand signal to "hold their position." He then ordered to get ready for the attack. But before he ordered them to attack, they could hear two people talking. One of them is being afraid and the other is threatening the opponent.

"P-please!Don't kill me! I worth a lot more alive!"

"You are worthless to me punk. All I need to know where did you hide the cargo."

"T-the cargo?! I-I don't know what cargo you are talking about!"

The threatening person cocked his blaster pistol as he gets ready to kill him.

"I don't have time for this. Spit it out or I shoot you point-blank at your forehead."

When the Titans heard him saying that he is going to kill the innocent man, Cyborg gave them the order to attack as they made their heroic appearance to stop him.

"NO, YOU WON'T!" Robin said as the other members are ready to beat him down. The killer heard the boy wonder's yell as he faced his attention to them.

The Titans have finally got the killer! Who could it be? And what does he or she look like? So they got a good long look at the killer's appearance before attacking the person, and it was someone they have never seen it before or appeared in Robin's mugshots archive.

The killer clad in a black colored bodysuit and an orange-colored armor. It consists of embraces, breastplate, codpiece, knee-pads, thigh and shin guards clasped over a black color bodysuit. And a black colored shoulder cape that covers his right shoulder. He also wears a helmet that matches the armor color. But the helmet is a unique one cause it has a T-shaped visor that adorned the helmet's face across its various incarnations.

The Titans were surprised to see the mysterious killer. But for Starfire, she was very shocked to see it. She couldn't believe what she just saw as she covered her mouth. It is because she had heard tales of feared warriors who had terrorized the galaxy for the past 10 centuries. She always thought it was a myth but now, meeting a person who wears the signature armor in the mythical stories made the legends to become true.

"It's...It's..."

"Starfire? What's wrong?" Robin asked.

"Robin...That killer..." she pointed her finger at the figure "is a Mandalorian!"
