This is part one of a story line that I came up with as I watched Season 4, I hope you enjoy it! Sorry that it took a long time to get a chapter out, I am very busy and have just been writing this casually and taking my time. I hope to have part two posted soon but I can't guarantee a date. Thanks for all your suggestions!

"Good job gang! Now let's boogie on outta here my funky friends." Austin commanded in true Mystery Bunch fashion, dancing forward as he, Trish, Dez, Ally, and Groovy the goat happily left Brooke behind. She attempted to tag along as she joined in the dancing behind them, but Ally was not about to let that happen.
"Not you."
Brooke freestyled off in the opposite direction and Ally felt relieved. She had wreaked enough havoc for one night, and even though she knew Austin had absolutely zero interest in her, Ally still felt possessive over him anytime Brooke stepped near him. She would always feel like a threat; It was hard to ever know when she would strike. Ally feared that Brooke would stop at nothing to get Austin to 'like' her, especially after she held him hostage right before his big video countdown the year before, and after what had just occurred at the 70's party. Unfortunately for all of them, that fear quickly increased as they listened to a cryptic voicemail that night that could only be from Brooke.
"Hey Austin, guess who? I'm just calling to let you know that it's inevitable that we'll be together, so you might as well just be with me now before I make something big happen. It's up to you if you want to come to me or if you want me to… well… speed up the process. I tried to do that tonight, but clearly I messed a few things up. Either way, it will get you back on your destiny to be with me. I miss you! See you tomorrow babe."
They all sat lazily in the sofas of the Music Factory lobby, still in their 70's costumes after the party, cringing as they took a couple seconds to process what had just played out from Austin's phone. Ally straightened up to look around at all of them worriedly.
"Uhh, she just said see you tomorrow… I'm scared to know what that's supposed to mean."
"Yeah, that's terrifying. Me and Ally were gonna have a date at the Beach Club tomorrow since nothings going on at the factory, but now I'm scared she's gonna kidnap me or something. And I'm sorry Ally, but you're just not much of a bodyguard." Austin explained to Dez and Trish, and Ally had to nod in agreement of the last part.
"That would be a mess, it's hard to know what she could do this time." Trish said, looking concerned for Austin.
"Doesn't that girl have anything better to do than go crazy over a guy who still sleeps with a teddy bear every night?" Dez added, and Austin looked deeply offended.
"Hey! I'll have you know that I didn't even bring Sergeant Bearington on Ally's tour." Austin stated, and Dez looked skeptical. Ally and Trish just looked back and forth between them disbelievingly.
"Right… and I'm sure you don't have him in your bed now too." Dez replied.
"You slept with a stuffed monkey and wore dinosaur slippers on my tour bus." Austin stated, which seemed to settle the argument. They then continued to discuss what wild plans Brooke might have to harass Austin the next day for a little while longer, but soon Trish was fast asleep on the couch, so they all decided to just head home and hope for the best since there was no good way to prevent her from doing anything. Austin and Ally texted that night, trying to come up with some sort of plan.
Friday, 10:35 PM
Austin: Soo let's hope tomorrow isn't my last day on planet earth due to Brooke
Ally: Don't worry, I'm sure she's just messing with you and trying to get you to come to her. I mean what can she do?
Austin: I've thought that before, and then she held me hostage in the practice room
Ally: True
Austin: I just wanna have fun with you tomorrow. The last time we were at the beach was with Dez and Carrie and I'm so excited, she'd better not ruin it
Ally: I'm excited too, let's just make it a good memory whether she shows up or not. I'll be on the lookout though
Austin: Yeah for sure, goodnight, see u in the morning
Ally: love u 3
Austin: love u too :)
Friday, 11:52 PM
Austin: Uhh idk if you're awake still or not but did Dez just leave that goat in the Music Factory? I definitely don't remember him taking it with him
Ally: Well Dez just sent me a selfie of him and the goat tucked into his bed for no clear reason, so I'm gonna go with yes
Austin: Phew, good. I wish I had a goat tucked into my bed
Ally: ...I think you need to go to sleep Austin
Austin: What, can't a guy want to sleep with a goat?
Ally: Like I said, go to sleep ;D
Austin: Whatever
(The next day, in between Mysteries & Meddling Kids and Comebacks & Crystal Balls)
The next day the sun was blazing in 98 degree heat but it wasn't unpleasant for Austin and Ally as they battled a crashing ocean, soaked in saltwater and giggling as they stumbled through the waves haphazardly. Under 3 layers of sunscreen and wearing a life jacket, Ally felt incredible trying something new on the hot day with Austin by her side. Literally. She clung onto him for dear life.
"No no no!" Ally shouted as an extra large wave approached in the distance and she clutched him tighter. Austin became glad he had tied his swim trunks tightly as he saw how powerful the wave was. He pulled her off of him and shook her dramatically.
"Ally this is the one! It's time to try to body surf it. You can do it!"
"Ok ok, yeah, I'm gonna do it this time. For real. Let go of me, I got this." Ally exclaimed above the ocean's roar. Austin smirked as he let go, surprised by her sudden confidence; she looked like she wanted to pick a fight with the wave. They were only in about 2 feet of water. Just before the wave hit, Austin saw her go for it, and then dove in himself.
"Yes! You did it! Nice Ally!" Austin cheered, rising from the wave sopping wet and pulling her up with him. He flipped her hair out of her face for her as she joined and they high fived.
"I can't believe I did it! That actually was really fun, I didn't believe you." She answered, beaming and facing him. They shared a salty kiss as the aftershock of the wave pulled at their ankles.
"Of course I was right, I know all about fun. Now you've just gotta lose the life jacket." He said, still close to her face, smiling as he kissed her again. She felt inspired by the look in his eyes.
"Fine, I guess I'll try it."
She tossed the jacket to the sand nervously as Austin cheered before another wave quickly approached and they both dove into it successfully.
"That was so fun!" She yelled as she recovered and hugged him, both drenched and as happy as ever. They had a day off to enjoy the ocean and Austin wanted her to become more comfortable with the water as part of overcoming her past dislike of the beach- he was determined that he could show her the epitome of beach fun if he taught her all of his favorite things to do.
"This is the first step of learning to surf, now you've gotta try surfing!" Austin yelled as their hug began to feel unsteady in the tide.
"Umm, right, but maybe I should master walking in the waves without falling over first? Let's go back to the beach for a bit. I need to recover. And put on some more sunscreen." Ally stated, and they pulled apart to walk back to their chairs at Shreddar's as Austin scoffed at her.
"I think your skin is gonna be ok after the three times you already put it on."
"Hey, I've never had a sunburn in my life and I'm not starting now."
His jaw dropped as they began to towel off at their chairs.
"Ok now I have another thing we need to work on. You've gotta get your first tan!"
Ally took a moment to place a hand on Austin's tan, toned chest, admiring his physique.
"I think a good tan is more your thing."
Austin's confidence boosted as Ally smiled and he suddenly remembered something else important to a good beach experience.
"Hey I just thought of something… I'm gonna go get us some shaved ice!" He exclaimed, running off without giving Ally a chance to question it. She just laughed, feeling delighted with how the day was going. It wasn't often that they could just go out and do something fun together like this; she felt dejavu to their days on her tour. On top of it all, Brooke hadn't shown up at all that they knew of. Ally laid out on her chair as she watched him run off, squeezing out her hair and feeling proud that she'd truly faced the waves for the first time that day thanks to Austin.
As she looked around the Beach Club, memory after memory flooded back to her. It wasn't often that she would come there to just relax and reminisce because there was usually something wild going on in her life; not long ago she was there in a checkered blonde wig pretending to be a Swedish pop songwriter. She remembered first performing "Redial" there, which was still one of her favorite songs because it made Trish so happy. Then she thought of performing "I Love Christmas" with Austin, back when there was a lot of tension between them and they so badly wanted to kiss under the mistletoe but kept getting interrupted. She felt smug knowing how past-Ally would feel about her relationship with Austin now… they were finally living their dreams in so many ways.
Austin, meanwhile, had shaved ice in each hand and had begun walking back to him and Ally's chairs when he noticed something that made him stop in his tracks. Brooke was approaching him from the beach, rather quickly. His limbs felt numb as he suddenly remembered her warning from the day before- they'd been so relaxed and happy all day that he had totally forgotten to be looking out for her. Not even two seconds after noticing her she was right in front of his face, before he could get away.
Ally's reminiscing was abruptly interrupted as she noticed Austin nearly sprinting back to her, colorful syrup running down his forearms. Clearly out of breath, he set down the shaved ice and parked himself next to her.
"Ally, kiss me, quick!"
She obliged, very confused, and when they parted she had to laugh at his hysterics.
"Um… what in the world was that about?" She asked.
"Brooke! She sneak attacked me. She walked up to me from the beach and just immediately started kissing me! I ran off right away of course so it barely even happened, but if there had been cameras around it would not have looked good. I hope you're not upset, I moved away as quick as possible. I had to get back to you right away to get Brooke off my mouth... yuck." He explained- the last part very dramatically- as he sank into his own chair. Ally felt a little bit shocked hearing this news, but not for long.
"I'd like to say that I can't believe she did that, but honestly, I can. I'm sorry that you have to deal with her stooping so low all the time Austin. And of course I'm not upset." Ally admitted.
"Good, I'm sorry that she's so crazy. I don't know how I'll ever get her out of my life." He apologized, frustrated.
"I know, I don't either. She didn't follow you right? Is she gone?"
"Looks like it… let's just move on. It's been too good of a day to let Brooke mess things up. Again."
Ally agreed strongly. They were able to finish enjoying the sunny beach date with no hesitation, happy that Brooke didn't make another appearance for the rest of the day. The experience was strange enough to stay in the back of their minds for a while, however, but Austin's comeback concert was what ultimately distracted them, Trish, and Dez from Brooke as the days passed.
After Dez was extremely problematic in the planning of the comeback concert, he came through in the end with the rigged glass box Austin was originally trapped in. Austin had felt terrible about telling Dez that he needed to stay away from him, but at the same time he was worried about his safety and his one chance to revive his career. All of that aside, he knew after the concert that he definitely needed to talk to Dez and apologize for not trusting him. Even though he was naturally goofy and took very imaginative ideas a little too seriously sometimes, Dez was his best friend and would never want him to fail.
(Comebacks & Crystal Balls, timestamp 19:59)
"Welcome back bro." Dez said as he and Austin hugged, both feeling relieved that the concert had finally happened, and more importantly, that it was a huge success due to Dez. Austin didn't realize just how much it was eating at him to have hurt his best friend until the weight lifted off his shoulders when he apologized and they hugged. Immediately after this, Trish's soon-to-be new puppy "Prince" walked in, revealing that maybe Ms. Claire's predictions had more truth to them than they thought.
"My prince has finally arrived."
"Awwww."
After a few moments of admiring the puppy, all of their phones seemed to simultaneously start buzzing and dinging.
"What is going on? Why are we all getting alerts?" Trish questioned, reluctantly lowering Prince to the floor to check her phone. The other three had already beaten her to it.
"Oh no." Was all Austin could muster.
"Austin! You cheated on Ally with Brooke? At the beach club? And bought her shaved ice?!" Dez exclaimed, reading the titles of the many celebrity news articles popping up in his notifications.
"Dez of course not, you know about this! Brooke snuck up on him and started kissing him the other day, these must be the paparazzi photos… this can't be happening." Ally stammered, feeling a little bit sick. Despite knowing that they were fake, the surprisingly convincing photos stirred up jealousy inside of her. Just seeing Austin kissing another girl bothered her, and now she knew that those fake photos were about to be seen by millions whi didn't know the situation. Jimmy Star had just sent Austin a similar headline- complete with the same photos of the brief moment he and Brooke kissed- asking him what was going on. His text did not sound very kind to put it mildly.
"Now everyone is gonna think I'm cheating on you, right when my career was about to come back, and the worst is that it's both not true, and with Brooke!." Austin exclaimed.
"This could potentially be a huge mess… people may not believe what you say if you try to claim otherwise because of the photos, and we know Brooke will have her own little narrative. How are their even photos of this? You said you didn't see any paparazzi around." Trish asked, starting to pace back and forth as steadily as one can in an elaborate princess gown and heels.
"She must have set it all up… of course she would. It was all part of her plan like she said in that voicemail. She said she was going to 'speed up the process' of you being with her by doing something big, so I guess this was it. She probably set up the photos and then purposefully leaked them so people will think that you are with her." Ally announced, piecing everything together.
"What can you do?" Dez asked Austin, and they all looked to him, feeling lost. The articles had all only come out minutes before and it was already clear that it was being spread everywhere online.
"I don't know."
