I don't own Miraculous: tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir and I hope I didn't rip off anyone's fanfiction.
Also, English isn't my first language, therefore I'm really sorry for all the mistakes, but I hope you'll enjoy!
Mayura looked at all the three heroes with fear in her eyes. The creature she made, Sentibug, turned against her. This is what happen when you try to copy the hero. When Mayura lost the souvenir of the Eiffel Tower, she lost the whole control of her creature. Being fully independant Sentibug got her heroine will and turned against her creator. Mayura held her breath knowing how badly she failed.
But what else she could expected Santibug could turn into? She was made by the strongest emotion of all. She was made of Nathalie's love to Gabriel. It doen't matter what kind of love it is, where it can show up, in which form but it was the strongest one of all, therefore making the clone of Ladybug the perfect and strongest creation of all.
Chat Noir glared at his oponent furiously. Mayura tried to trick him so painfully. She knew Ladybug was his weakness, that he loved her with his whole heart and even more - his soul. It wasn't a nice game to play with his feelings like that snd he wouldn't let anyone play with it, especially Mayura.
Ths superhero was about to strike peacock miraculous holder when suddently he was pushed far away by someone.
"Feeling mad by being cought?" the person said standing in between the superseroes and Mayura.
"Hawk Moth," both Sentibug and Ladybug said in unison and glared at the man.
"You'll be the one being cought when we get your miraculous!" Chat Noir said and ran towards Haek Moth, girls joining him.
Hardly, but somehow Hawk Moth managed to defend himself and Mayura..The man managed to throw away Chat Noir's baton, making him harmless. Sentibug took advantage of fighting Hawk Moth and grabed Mayura redy to take her miraculous, but unfortunately Ladybug got cought by Hawk Moth.
"One move and Mayura's identity will be revealed" Sentibug said holding peacock miraculous.
Chat Noir gasped looking at his real lady. How could he be so reckless and let Hawk Moth throw his baton away? Worse, he didn't protect the most importand person in his life - Ladybug. He started to blame himself of this. If he still had his baton he could have protected her or at least relise her. He knew it.
Ladybug held her breath and tried to move her head further from Hawk Moth's fingers. She looked at her copy and her kitty who both looked terrified.
"Don't worry, all I have to do is wait until Ladybug detransforms reveling her identity herself," Hawk Moth said.
"Relise her!" Chat Noir hissed glaring at him.
"Relise her!" he said back looking at Sentibug with Mayura.
"Don't mind me. We need her miraculous," Mayura interupted.
"Don't listen to him. We can still fight him," Ladybug said and tried to release herself. Hawk Moth felt that she was about to get away, so he threw her down the to the streets. Sentibug did the same throwing Mayura to opposite direction and letting Hawk Moth to run after that woman insted of chasing the heroes.
Chat Noir was the one catching his lady gently and letting her go on the ground.
"I'm sorry, Ladybug," Sentibug said landing in fron of them.
"We're sorry,"" Chat corrected giving his sad kitty glance.
"It's OK. We'll get him the next time," Ladybug tried to confort her teamates. And then turned to Sentibug. "Can I ask you something? Do you think you can de-transform?"
Sentibug thought a little. "I-I don't know. I was created of really strong emotion, so maybe I could?"
Ladybug nod. "We have to try and check all the posibilities," she said.
"Can I have a word with Chat Noir before we leave? I think I should apologize him for saying all those things," the clone asked.
Ladybug nod. "I'll send you the location," she said and left leaving the two heroes.
Sentibug looked at Chat Noir who seemed pissed. She knew she hurt him, but she was controled. All those words coming from her mounth weren't actually hers but she knew he still held all of this in her heart.
"It's OK. I know you were controlled and didn't have a choice but say whatever you were asked for," Chat said with a sad smile. He wished all of this was real. That Ladybug'd have returned her feelings.
"Yes, I was under Mayura's control, but I also know I hurt your feelings when you realized this was all fake and I want to apologize for that," Sentibug said and put her palm on his cheek. The pain of lost hope filled him again. He wished this was real. "But if you want, I'm redy to give you a chance. I know I'm not your Ladybug, but I still am a part of her. I mean not only the physical appearance."
Chat Noir's eyes widened. He looked at her speachless. He didn't know what to say, because he still couldn't replace his lady with someone else doesn't matter if it was her perfect copy. He also wasn't sure how much truth was in her words. Was she really her copy? All people are individuals, so she nust have something different from his lady, right? Of course, not mentioning that Sentibug was offering her heart to him while Ladybug never returned his feelings.
But Sentibug didn't know the difference between then either. She knew she was brave to fight against the evil, she had Ladybug's skills and since she was free she knew her Lucky Charm wouldn't be influenced by this giving her a ridle just like Ladybug has. Besides all of this, she also had the same emotions and she knrew Ladybug loved Adrien just like her, but she didn't want to be selfish that way. Ladybug showed her mercy by giving the souvenir to her, so Sentibug didn't want to stand in her way. Therefore she was about to give her heart to her kitty. Though she also knew she was Marinette, she didn't know if she was able to detransform to be with someone from Marinette's world.
Maybe that'd be the only their defference, though she had to try first. She was happy Mayura didn't ask for it. Though she didn't know who she really was before gettinng the little tower in her hands, she might had remembered how to do this anyway. She and Ladybug were the same, after all.
Chat Noir closed his eyes thinking. He let the clone of his lady touch her cheek, he enjoyed that touch. He wanted this to never end. He wanted his lady to be here. He wanted her. And she really was there in front of him. Though she was created by a villain, it still was his lady. Chat opened his eyes and gently took Sentibug's wrist. He slowly and softly kissed her knuckles and glanced at the girl.
"I'm redy to accept that then, m'lady," he said to her and smiled. He knew sometimes things doesn't go the way he'd wish for, but he'd be the dumbest person in the entire world if he rejected that offer.
Sentibug smiled to him pulling herself closer. She closed her eyes knowing he did the same. She felt his arm on her back just before her lips touched his. She didn't feel when her hand ended up on his chest while the other was still held by his. They both melted into the soft kiss none of them wanted to break. Chat Noir smiled in his minds. His perfect first kiss. He couldn't believe this was actually happening. He couldn't believe he finally could hold his Ladybug in his arms kissing her. That was perfect. His all dreams came true so sudden he wasn't able to prepare, but he didn't want this to end. He'd never let her go again.
Eventually they both were out of breath, so they had to break the kiss, but still stood wery close to each other. But Chat Noir didn't open his eyes to look at her. He was afraid that if he did, this all will be gone becoming another dream. His smile faded trom the fear that it all might have been just a dream, that it wasn't real.
"Don't be sad. I'm here now. I always will," Sentibug said.
Chat shook his head. "No, if I do, you'll dissappear leaving me alone. I don't want this to end. Please, promise me, you won't leave," he begged almost crying.
Sendibug put her both hands on his cheeks and smiled at him.
"I'm not going to leave you, my silly kitty. That's all real," she said.
Chat slowly oppened his eyes.
"Promise?" he asked.
As Sentibug nod he pulled her back to a kiss, this time more passionate, with more desire to have her. She returned the kiss with the same emotions, her fingers brushing his thick and soft hair. Chat wraped his arms tightly arount his lady's body and pulled his lips away. He gazed at her with all love he had with a happy smile on his face. She really was there.
"I know you maybe aren't the real Ladybug, but real enough for me. You're Ladybug even if you were created as a monster. There's nothing monstrous about you. Not at all. And this makes me love you. Both of you. And I will not let anything to happen to you. I'll protect you even if that means sacrificing my all nine lifes. I promise, I'll never let you down," Chat Noir said looking straight into her eyes.
"I know you won't," she said back. "But I have to meet Ladybug now. I have to try something first."
Chat nod. "Can we meet latter then? At the top of the Eiffel Tower?"
"I'll come," she said and gave a quick kiss on his cheek. "As soon as I'm done."
Sentibug got in the place where Ladybug sent the location. She knew she took some time making Ladybug to wait quite long until she came. But during that time, the original heroine must have been recharged her kwami and probably waitng for her already transformed.
Strange thing, Sentibug's niraculous didn't beep at all.
Meanwhile Ladybug stood there calmly walking around with all five black dots on her earrings.
"I'm sorry I took so long," Sentibug apologized when she stood in front of Ladybug.
"It's alright. I understand you, I mean, I... Umm, any of us would spend more time talking to him." Sentibug nod but couldn't keep the eye contact with her.
"Actually, I kinda kissed Chat Noir... Or he kiised me... Well, I decided to be with him since you like Adrien. I didn't want to interupt neither of you, so I chose Chat," Sentibug said.
Ladybug's mounth fell open for a momemt, but she quickly got herself together.
"You kissed Chat? And you know I like Adrien? How?" she asked.
"Since I'm you I night have your memory too?" she said shyly still afraid of getting an eye contact.
"But Mayura didn't know it, did she?"
"I don't think so. She didn't ask me anything like that. She just told me what to do and I did. Actually, I fully become who I have to be when you gave me the little Eiffel Tower which was controling me," the copied girl showed the item.
Ladybug sighed in relief. "But then you know who I trully am, don't you?"
"Of course. You're... I mean, we're Marinette."
Ladybug nod and thought a little. "So, can you de-transform?"
"I don't know, but I can try..."
"Wait. I'll leave my transformation in case you accidentally de-transform me. This can really happen becasue we both have the same voices," Ladybug said and after a moment said "Spots off," becoming Marinette again.
"Spots off," Sentibug said and also de-transformed. She looked excatly like Marinette, just something about her was different.
"Where's your kwami?" Marinette blinked and looket at her floating Tikki. Copied Marinette also looked at the little creature.
"I was created millions of years ago. There's no force which could copy me, especially other kwami's power. Mayura only made Sentibug, so it's even surprising she could de-transform into your civilian form."
Senti Marinetre looked at her feet and though t a little. "Can it be influenced by which emotion I was created?" she looked back at Tikki.
"It depends. It has to be really strong one then," Tikki wasn't sure either. She had never met such strong sentimonster before.
"Which emotion was used to make you alive?" Marinette asked.
"Love," Senti Marinette answered and Tikki smiled at her.
"It explains a lot. Since peacock is a miraculous of an emotion, it's not purposely a negative one. Love is the strongest one of all, so I'm not surprised it made you so strong," Tikki landed on the clone's palms.
"Thanks Tikki, you explained a lot," both girls thanked. They smiled to each other knowing that the sentimonster was able to live a nornal life filled of adventures and new experiences. She was able to live a life as a human. But then the real Marinette froze a little.
"But what's going to happen now? We can't show up in public together. What my... Our parents will think of it? If anyone finds out that there're two of us, they'll figure that we're Ladybugs!" Senti Marinette suddenly freaked out.
Marinette looked downwards thinking. She didn't want to agree with this, but that was true. It'd be too easy to put the puzzle toogether.
"I-I don't know," the origibal Marinette said with sadness in her wioce. She had no idea how to solve that pronlem.
Senti Marinette took a deep breath. "I guess it wasn't meant for me to exist from the very begining," she said.
"But didn't you just gave Chat some hopes?" Tikki interupted.
"I did," the girl agreed. "Though I shouldn't have done this in the first place. Now this gonna hurt him even more," she sighed. "But he has you. He'll always have you. He'll always love you, doesn't matter if he see my face or yours. I'll never be the real you that's why I need to talk to him. Can I end this up with him before... Before I'll have to leave?"
Marinette was quiet for a moment, but nod. That was the right thing to do. She had to explain the situatuon to him herself if Marinette destroyed the tower souvenir before telling him, he'd be sad of her. No, Marinette couldn't let this happen. He had to know. Especially when Sentibug opened her heart to him.
"Thank you," she said and stepped a little further away to transform. The bright flash of light brightened the place before Sentibug was standing before Marinette. It was so strange to see another girl so similar to herself in all the aspects transforming. It was like looking at the mirror just with independent reflectuon in it. But it was hurting her. She had to sacrifise her other self in order protect her identity and avoid the chaos it was going to cause.
Sentibug flied away with the similar thoughts in her head. And on top of that she had to figure a plan what to tell to her poor Kitty. She knew she was going to crash his heart, but she had to tell him the truth.
When she got to the Eiffel tover Chat was already there preparing a romantic dinner for them both. He already served a table with a bunch of red roses in vase, candles already put around the table to keep a romantic atmosphere, but still not burning. It looked similar to what he did the evening when he wanted to confess his feelings to her... The real Ladybug. Another knife stuck in Sentibug's chest seeing what he was doing.
"Hello, my kitty," Sendibug said to him catching his attention.
"Oh, I thought you'll come latter," he smaled with an obvious surprise in his eyes. "But never mind that. I should have hurried a bit more."
And how she could break his heart when he's so purely in love with her? How can she reject everything she promised so soon? Sentubug bit her lip. She had to do thia. For her and the real her sake. For his and everyone elses sake.
"Chat... Actually there's something we with Ladybug discussed about," she said shyly.
"Ah right. Your transformation worked?" Chat asked smiling wider.
"It did. That's the problem," the girl said back.
"Why?" he noticed how sad and worried she was and came closer. He took her both hands into his and put on his chest where the heart supposed to be. "Whatever the problem is, I'm sure you two with Ladybug are able to find the solution. And I'll always be there to help."
"You can't. I'm sorry."
"What's the problem then?" Chat rised an eyebrow.
"I can't stay all my life transformed, Chat. I should live as a civilian anyway, but I can't walk around looking like her, being her. What my teacher'd say seing two indentical girls here? What parents would say? My friends? No, this would only end up with Ladybug's true identity to be revealed," bluenette shook her head.
"You'te right there," Chat saddened. "But isn't there anything you can do? I mean, you promised to be there. You said you won't leave," he cried.
This was heartbreaking. How can Sentibug break those promises she just made? She said she'll give him the chance, but to break his heart even more. What was the point of doing that then?
Sentibug placed her hands on his both cheeks and forced him to look at her. She smiled sadly.
"But I won't leave. I'll always be there with you. You'll fight along side with Ladybug same as you used to be. Because I'm her and she's me. Because you'll always know that even though she's rejecting you she still has some feelings for you just like me," Sentibug confessed.
Chat eyes widened. "She also has feelings for me?"
"Of course. How couldn't she like that charm of yours. Just she tried to deny it by dedicating herself to somebody else. And I am, but I stood out of the way for Ladybug and gave myself back to you while she can't."
He got sad again. Knowing that somebody else will have his lady made him sick and jelous. But there was nothing he could do.
"But don't give up, Chaton, she might change her mind one day," Ladybug's clone said. "But until then you'll have to protect her same as you promised to protect me. Can you do that?"
Chat was quiet for a second. "I will. I always will," he finally whispered.
Sentibug grabed the souvenite which held her alive and placed it in Chat's palm.
"What are you...?" he tried to ask.
"Then protect her by destroying me. Without me she'll be safer to walk down the streets as civilian. Protect both of her sides by breaking it," she asked.
Chat shook his head. "No! I won't! I can't," Sentibug saw tears running down his cheeks.
"But I'm not real, Chat. You know that," she was about to cry too. Knowing that she had to be wanished from the world didn't make her happy. She had her body and minds and feelings and everything normal human has, so it was like dying for real. And just like Marinette, Sentibug didn't want to die either.
Chat's hands started to shake, his tears fell on the souvenir. But he seemed he'd break it. He was really about to break it.
"Do this for your real lady, Chat. She'll be thankful for that. She'll be proud you weren't selfish and tried to save her both sides," Sentibug tried to push him even more.
And then the mini Eiffel Tower was broken. Chat couldn't handle to hold the sob when he saw her disappear. It was like in his nightmares when he accidentally touch his lady with his Cataclysm, but this one was real. He had to see her die just before his eyes. He just killed someone he admired. Someone he said he loved.
He regreted doing this the same moment he broke amokatized item. He regreted agreeing with Sentibug and doing what she begged him to do. Real or not, she was her and she was his lady.
"You did a right decision, Chat," suddently he felt Ladybug's hand on his shoulder. She must have seen enough to know what happened.
"Why...?" he tried to ask, but sobbed again. Ladybug pulled him into a hug.
"You know why, Chat. Thank you," she said.
"It's not fair..." he whispered.
"I know, but it doesn't go only on us. It was Sentibug who decided it was the best for all of us. We have to respect that decision."
Chat slowly pulled away and looked at Ladybug's bluebell eyes. "Alright. I'll respect that. And I'll protect you as always m'lady. As she asked me to promise," he put his hand on hie heart showing how serious he was. The tears were still falling down his face, but he wasn't sobbing anymore.
"Just don't forget you'te supposed to pretect Paris too," Ladybug put her hands on her hips and smirked a little. She was sad same as he, but still tried to cheer him up.
She smiled a little too and scrached his head nervously. "Yeah, of course."
