Erza's POV
Minerva had disappeared and left me to fight Kagura. Diana had also vanished but she kept reappearing out of the dust in the air. She would mumble to herself and then jump in to land a few blows here and there. I slashed and Kagura and knocked her back but when she tried to get up Diana dashed in and kicked her across the floor. When I tried to hit her, she just turned into dust and blew away in the wind. Every pillar I looked behind Diana was there but when I slashed at her she blew away.
Which one's real?
I decided to focus my strength on Kagura and deal with the sand girl later. By the time I felled Kagura; Minerva jumped in and stole the points.
"Diana…take care of this." Minerva commanded fading into the air again.
"Yes…young miss."
Once Minerva was gone the girl charged forward and punched at me. I blocked it with my sword but the sand from her magic was dulling and cracking the blade in seconds. Diana exploded in a mist of dirt and faded away.
"Sand Dragon Diamond Drill!"
The ground under me cracked and split open and Diana burst from under the ground and uppercutted me.
"Kill…die…" she mumbled.
Something was wrong with her, her eyes were dead and she was practically slobbering when she talked.
"RAH!" she charged forward and kneed me in the stomach.
"GAH!"
I was thrown back into a pillar.
"Time to die." She mumbled "Then it's all mine…he will be all mine…"
I pushed the stone off me and ran forward.
"Lightning Empress Armor!"
I charged my spear and shot a bolt at her.
"Like hell!" I yelled.
The bolt bounced though and blew away all the doubles and hit the real girl.
"AHHH!"
She got shocked and fell to the ground.
"Kill…Kanji…." She got up off the floor like a zombie and just charged right at me.
"Sand Dragon Claw!"
She vanished like dust in the wind and in an instant she was behind me and my spear had shattered.
"So fast…" I gasped and the spear crumbled.
Kanji brought that for me…
"I need to slow her down." I thought out loud and she savagely assaulted me.
"Water Empress Armor!"
Sand clumps up when it gets wet.
"Take this!"
"Dune Duster!"
A wave of sand rose up and collected the water.
"Granite Glaive!"
A disc shot out of the wall and knocked my sword away.
"How is that stuff so hard." I wondered.
"Sand…Dirt…stone…I control all of it…" she said suddenly throwing her head back "NOW DIE!"
I braced myself and she attacked me with a flurry of strikes.
"DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!"
Sand and dust flew around the area as Diana raged about, I blocked the attacks and waited for an opening.
"HE'S MINE!" she yelled "Just die!"
What is her problem, she didn't seem to care about him at all the other night?
"Enough!" I snapped and clocked her in the face at my first opening.
My punch connected and knocked her down. Once again, she snapped back up and came running. Every time I managed to land a blow on her she kept getting up and I kept knocking her down.
"Must…Erza…Kill…" she stumbled forward again but her punches were even softer and weaker, she was exhausted.
"Enough." Minerva appeared and stopped the girl.
"I can…still do…it…" Diana mumbled.
"Clearly this is a task far above your skill." She said "Out of my sight."
"Yes Young Miss." Diana trudged off.
"Oh Diana." Minerva called out "I have one last thing to tell you."
"Hmm?" the girl looked back, her eyes half lidded.
"Kill yourself."
"What?!" I gasped.
Diana just smiled "Of course."
"Stop!" I yelled running after her.
Diana trudged over to the fallen Kagura and picked up Archenemy.
"Knock it off!"
Minerva came up and kicked me slowing me down.
"Don't do it!" I yelled.
"It's all for you Young Miss." Diana said lifting the sword up.
"STOP!"
She looked back at me, for some reason she was crying. It was faint; almost a whisper but I just heard her.
"Help…me…"
I saw the pendent on her collar shimmer…
That wasn't there the other day.
I felt Minerva dig her heel into my back. I wasn't gonna get there in time.
"Do it!" Minerva snapped "Obey your command."
The sword was so close to her stomach.
"NO!"
"GAAAAHHH!"
*Clang.*
The sword fell to the ground and Diana with it.
"Don't touch my sword…soulless trash." Kagura grumbled from her spot on the ground having tackled Diana "How dare you try and muddy it with your blood."
"You're up too?" Minerva growled.
"Kagura!" I yelled "The necklace!"
"Stay away from that!" Minerva created an explosion knocking us all back.
I have to get that off her.
"Diana fulfill your command…drop dead."
Tears were pouring down the girl's face "Yes…Miss…"
Her body was fighting her with every step. I had to move now or Diana was going to die.
"Long-Shot Armor!"
I changed into a rarely used armor, one that came equipped with a bow and arrow. I steadied my aim and shot one bolt.
"Piercing Arrow!"
"Don't you dare?" Minerva snatched my arrow in midair.
Kagura had passed out again but now Diana was getting to close to the end of the rooftop. Every step was a trudge.
"If you don't stop me she will die." Minerva laughed "You've played into the palm of my hand, dance for me Erza!"
Diana's POV
Everything is so painful. I could feel everything but I couldn't control it. I was going to die. No matter what I tried to say I couldn't get anything out.
"Please someone help me!"
I saw Erza trying to fight Minerva. She was the one holding me prisoner in my own body. Erza was trying to help me but now she was stuck, her leg was all bloody and mangled.
"No…I have to do something…please just one second! Just one second."
I felt my whole-body jerk.
I somehow took a step…and another…and then another…Minerva was so close to chocking Erza out with her magic.
"RAHHH! Sand Dragon Diamond Horn!"
I head-butted Minerva and then slumped to the ground.
"You fricken brat!" Minerva slammed me into the ground "How dare you! How did you even do it?"
Somehow now I couldn't move again. Minerva threw me around like a doll.
"How dare you disobey me?"
"No." I heard a voice
My vision was burry but I saw Erza stand up.
"How dare you attack your own guild member like that? Not only have you hurt my friends but now someone who is supposed to be your ally. I'm furious!"
Erza glowed and her armor changed into a bright shimmering armor.
"Nakagami Armor!"
Minerva dropped me and tried to blast Erza but the explosion was cut.
She cut pure magic…Impossible!
The wind from Erza's strike blew passed and snapped the collar on my neck. I felt all my muscles return.
"I'm free." I said feeling my own hands.
"No Stay away!" Minerva yelled.
"Now fall! Nakagami Starlight!"
In one shot Minerva was felled.
"Amazing." I mumbled.
Fairy Tail's score jumped up by another five points.
"Are you alright?" Erza asked.
"Yeah." I sighed "I give up."
Their score went up again.
"You have…to…stop him…" I mumbled.
Erza's armor faded and she almost hit the ground. I grabbed her wrist.
"Please." I said "You have to stop Sting…I know where he is. Stay off that leg, I'll carry you"
"You're hurt too." Erza groaned as I threw her on my back.
God she's heavy…but that outfit is falling apart…there's a naked girl on my back…EEEEKKK~
"You saved my life." I said "This is the least I can do."
As soon as I finished the sky light up with a bright light.
"I'm coming…dumb bastard…"
Kanji's POV
That fight with Jura took a lot out of me. I was sore but I had to keep going. As Laxus and I trudged around the sky light up with Sabertooth signal.
"I guess we should head there." I winced as I took a step.
The score was right in front of us. If somehow Sting was able to defeat the six of us he would win…by one point.
We found him in the park. Gajeel was the only person there so far. Gray and Juvia arrived not long after us and then Erza showed up being carried by Diana. The green haired girl came to a stop and let Erza down before staring down Sting.
"Is this what you really want?" she asked.
He didn't answer.
"Very well." She mumbled "I won't interfere. Just remember…Lector didn't care about winning, just that you tried your best…"
She walked off and laid down on a bench.
"Enough talk." Gajeel growled "This is the final fight."
"We'll do this one on one." Gray said "Who do you want first?"
"Since I'm so generous and you're all banged up you can all go at once." Sting said.
"Do not underestimate us." Juvia told him.
"Oh no." Sting smirked "I respect you. That's why when I defeat you it will show Lector my true power!"
"What is he talking about?" Laxus asked.
I just shrugged and stepped forward.
"If that's the decision you made get ready." I said.
He got all revved up and covered in a blinding white light. We waited for him to make the first move. All we did was look at him. He took two struggled steps forward…he looked over at Diana…clenched his fist like he was going to attack, and then just fell to his knees.
"I can't win…I…give up…"
The score board dinged and we shot up one more point.
"It's decided!" the announcer yelled "Fairy Tail is the winner!"
I walked over to Erza and gave her a big hug and a kiss. She was pretty beat up but I'd seen her get through worse.
"Sting?" Diana walked over and kneeled down by her friend "Why didn't you fight back."
"Even if I had won…I just knew I couldn't see him…" he mumbled.
"Yes you can." Erza told him before pointing behind her.
"Erzy!"
Millianna was there waving with this ball of fur in her arm. It was that red exceed, Lector. The two were acting like they hadn't see each other in forever.
"Erza." Diana walked up rubbing her throat "Thank you again."
Erza just nodded "You're the one who gave me the time to build up the strength to change armors. I should be thanking you."
"I didn't realize you two had bonded so quickly." I raised an eyebrow.
"One quick question." Erza said "I do take issue with some of the things you said."
"Oh about killing you. Minerva made me say those things." Diana said clearly embarrassed and upset.
"No not that." Erza grimaced grabbing my arm "Stuff about taking him away?"
"Oh that!" Diana started laughing "I assure you there is nothing to worry about. Like I'd ever go for someone like him."
"Ouch." I scratched the back of my neck.
"Oh no, don't take that the wrong way." Diana said "You should be the one who's worried. That's what I meant?"
"Huh?" Erza and I both tilted our heads.
"I'd be more likely to take Erza away from you, then take you away from her."
"Wait…" I mumbled.
"I don't get it?" Erza said.
Diana looked at us dumbstruck before laughing "You two do know I'm gay right? I'm not into guys, I like girls."
"OH!" Erza and I both blushed at the now awkward moment.
"Yeah how do you think I tolerate being around Sting and Rogue all day?" she joked.
"That would explain why Minerva called you her pet."
"Yep." Diana said with a pop and the end "She's a pretty bitchy ex. I've been over her for a long time though, still on the market if you know anyone that's interested, I did see this cute girl with long pink hair and earmuffs the other day."
I heard the clacking of heels and turned to see my sister running towards us.
"Big Brother!" she yelled out before skidding to a stop in front of us "Sand girl, good to see you in one piece…nice to see you to Red."
"Pleasure." Erza grumbled "Can we help you?"
"Cut the attitude Scarlet." Lauren glared "Come on we gotta go."
"We're getting rushed off already?" I whined.
"The King wants to see all the guilds." Lauren explained getting eerily serious "It sounds important."
We nodded and followed her.
"Any word from Natsu's group?" Erza asked.
"Nothing yet." Lauren said over her shoulder "Not sure if we need to start to worry or not."
"Mira's with them." I said "We have no reason to panic, not just yet."
"Where was Natsu?" Sting ran up and asked.
"He and some others went to the castle to try and rescue Lucy and Yukino."
"Yuki?" Diana said "What happened?"
"A whole lot." I said.
We got to where the others were. There was a whole lot of congratulating then the king spoke. What he asked us…He wanted us to kill a dragon, 10000 of them to be exact.
"Well that could be a problem." I mumbled.
"How so?" Erza whispered.
"Counting Natsu and Wendy we only have nine slayers."
LATER
Just like the king said a short time later the sky was filled with giant lizards. Massive beasts I had only heard stories of. Seven beasts tearing through Crocus, it was like something out of a story..
The one that landed before us was covered in flames. Magic didn't work on a monster like that, Gramps punch only left him burned and the dragon unharmed.
"Laxus, Lauren!"
"Right!"
We each charged a beam and blasted the dragon.
"Three Fold Anti Dragon Laser!"
Our attack actually made the monster stumble back a bit.
I heard an ear-splitting yell,
"Natsu."
"Only Dragon Slayer Magic can defeat them!" he called out "Ten! Spread out and kill them! This is what we were made for."
Ten?
"Laxus." I said back peddling "I'm going to help the guilds with no Dragon Slayer. You two kill that thing!"
"Fine!" he yelled.
"Be careful!" Lauren added.
I rounded the corner and found a huge rock like Dragon plowing its way toward Blue Pegasus.
"Shit!" I scrambled forward "I don't think I can make it."
Something plummeted from the sky, some sort of crimson meteor.
It can't be…
"I can hear it." A growling voice said.
"Lightning Dragon Roar!"
Now that I had an opening, I blasted the monster.
A dark red fist came forward and tried to nail me in the side but I caught it with my hand.
"Not really a good time for this." I sneered.
"It's always a good time to kill you." He smirked back.
"You and I can settle our issues later." I said throwing my coat back "Alright Erik?"
"Let's just kill this." He growled "The less time I have to hear your damn voice the better."
"Feeling's mutual." I smiled charging up my fist.
I shot my fist forward and blasted the dragon and Cobra threw in a poison roar to add on.
"Let's kill a dragon!"
