Hello it is I.

My twin Melwa Rat's rat is really sick and school is hard and takes up all of my time BUT I found a red leaf today which means it's starting to be autumn so at least there's that. :)

Annnywaaaaays I just wanted to post something so I don't feel bad for...not posting I guess? So here's an old thing too short to be a oneshot and too long to be a drabble and too crappy to even be considered content :)) (And loosely based off of a conversation I had with my dad) OH almost forgot, have a good day!

(Takes place in like 2-3 season :p)

Ahsoka Tano perked up at the sound of knocking on her quarter's door. She paused for a second and redirected her focus to whoever it was, trying to sense them and instantly being flooded by her master's familiar presence. "Hey, Master!" She called, looking back down at her work. "Come in!" She couldn't hide the desperation in her voice. She'd been working on homework almost all day, and an 'Anakin' break would be nice.

The door hissed open and Anakin walked in. "Hey there, Snips." He gave her a smile then frowned upon all the papers and work surrounding her.

"You're still working?" He asked.

She nodded. "Yeah, um, I'm kinda really really behind."

The concern on his face grew into confusion. "I thought school just started a week ago?" He gestured to her messy bed and notes flung everywhere. "How are you this behind?"
"I-"

"Don't tell me you're goofing off instead of getting work done."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes at his sudden fatherly tone. "Of course not! Do you see how hard I'm working?!" She'd been working all day almost everyday, she barely even had time to train with him.

He held up his hands in defence, sitting down across from her on her bed. "Sorry, sorry, just making sure." He peeked over what she was working on, trying to make sense of it. He scrunched up his face. All of the instructions were in another language and not in aurebesh at all.

Ahsoka chuckled. "It's Togruti." She explained.
"Ohhh." He looked at it closer. Come to think of it the symbols looked a lot like her handwriting. "Do you know it?"
She shrugged. "I was three or something when I came to the Temple. I knew a little bit already, so I thought that this would be an easy class."
"I'm guessing you were wrong."

She nodded vigorously. "Big time." She shoved a notebook into his hands with a sigh. "I should've taken Kel Dorian instead."

"Well then you wouldn't be learning anything." He looked at the notebook page that was open. In her handwriting was sloppy due dates and 'to-do' lists, way too many of them for a first week.
"Holy Force," He breathed.
"And that's not even the worst of it." She laughed. "That's day one." She flipped to the next page, and the next and the next and the next. All of them were full of things she had to get done, and judging by the small amount of check marks and crossed-off assignments compared to things she'd yet to get finished, she was nowhere near the goals she had set.

"Whew!" He whistled. "And this isn't working ahead? This is what you have to do this week?"
"In one class too." She added. She groaned, shoving her face into her hands. "I'm never going to get caught up."

Anakin stared at the notebook for a second longer before setting it down. He reached out and rubbed her leg. His face was full of pity. It was way too much work to be putting on a fifteen year old. Or anyone, to be honest.

"I can help you?" He offered.

She looked up at him with annoyance. "You know Togruti then?" She asked flatly.

He paused. "Well no, but I can still help you!"

She took the notebook off of the bed, turning it back to the page it was on. "After Obi-Wan telling me about what you were like as a padawan? No, I think I'm good."
He frowned with a sarcastic laugh. "Wooow, rude. Love you too, Ahsoka."

She froze.

Her eyes went wide and she stared back up at him. She blinked a few times, thrown off. "I-"
Anakin's hand rubbing her knee stopped for a moment, instead giving her a worried squeeze. "What?"
Her voice barely suppressed a whisper. "Y-you love me?" No one had ever told her that they loved her. She knew they cared for her but she'd never been….loved. Or at least she never thought anyone did.

He chuckled. He'd been joking, but he did. "Of course I do."

"Oh." She whispered.

"What is it?"
Ahsoka shook her head. Why was her throat sore all of a sudden? "No one's ever said that to me before, is all." She explained. Was she supposed to say it back? Was he lying?
Why would he love her?
Anakin's heart sunk. "Really?"
"Really."
"Like your mom never said that she loved you….?" He trailed off, remembering that she'd said something earlier about not having a family, or at least not remembering them. "Or, um" He restarted. "Plo, or someone in your clan…?" She shook her head.

"...No one?"

"No one." She echoed. She looked at him for any sign he was messing with her. "But you do." She said. It was more of a statement than a question, she realized after saying it. "I mean, do you? Like really."

Anakin nodded. "Why wouldn't I, Snips? You're the bestest padawan I could ask for."
But there was more to it, she could tell. She sat in silence for a second. Of course, attachments were forbidden, but that didn't really stop anyone from having them. And thinking about it more, Anakin was much more to her than a master, or a General.

He was family.
And she was his.

She brought her laptop onto her lap and scooted over to him. She leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I think I love you too." Ahsoka said quietly with a small smile, keeping her voice low like saying it too loud would get them in trouble.

Which it very well could.
He smiled warmly, draping an arm around her shoulder and giving the top of her head a small kiss before looking down at her homework.

"Alright, 'Soka. Where do we start?"
