READ A/N PLEASE!
HOLY COW! HAS IT REALLY BEEN A MONTH?! Dang… sorry , this chapter will probably have the least amount of action, which I'm glad about, because I'm not too sure if those scenes are my strong suits. I feel like they're too short (see earlier chapters, cough). I like writing action, but I think I'm better with the humor part in this story. You guys seem to like it though. This will be kind of like a part two to last chapter, so it's still the same world. I'm not sure why I split it, just seemed right. Probably means they'll be 13 chapters now. Wow, it's already the fifth, maybe I should take a break, and nahhh I couldn't do that. And I remembered something, so in this fic (MIGHT WANNA READ THIS PART), basically each chapter is a day. Except for chapters 4 and 5. That's one day. So, in the first chapter, or prologue, it was late afternoon to nightfall. Time passes by in the simulation much quicker, I mean, you know how it works. So in the second chapter, it's very early morning (like 5 or 6) to the afternoon. Then Cy and Bee go to sleep, and wake up late at night. That's chapter 3, like 11pm to 6am. Then the last chapter was mid-afternoon to late night. This one takes place late morning to like noon. So I guess each chapter is more like a day and a half? I don't think it matters, but in case it did, there you go. Oh, and here's an update!
Disclaimer- *grabs a microphone and proceeds to see oh-so-beautifully* When there's Teen Titans, guess who owns it? (Not me!)

"They're planning on bringing the girl?" Bumble Bee inquired after the discussion. The other Titans had dressed in the disguises best they could. There of course were factors they couldn't fix- Beast Boy's ears, Starfire's bright emerald eyes, and Raven's chakra. Robin's mask was an issue too, since even in an alternate universe, he absolutely refused to take the thing off.
"Not a good idea," Cyborg looked at the control panel. I wonder if they know we can see them.
"Why not? She's just a kid," Bumble Bee replied.
"It's not the girl I have a problem with," Cyborg explained,"The machine was built as a simulation ground for combat practice. I never expected it to send the Titans to other worlds. Adding someone could mess up the system. Plus, she doesn't belong here. That's another problem. Interdimensional travel. And I'm sure someone would agree,"
T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S
I'm not so sure that's a good idea.
Raven didn't have it in her to tell the outcast girl that she couldn't come. Hopefully, the others could listen when she explained later to them. Okay, maybe the half-demon was being sort of a hypocrite right now. She threatened to throw Beast Boy into another dimension almost all the time. But the only difference here, was that none of this was real. It could cause problems once the Titans managed to return home.
"Looking good, guys," Vaurissa snickered as she viewed the now-disguised Titans.
Robin grumbled as he scratched his wig. Humiliated didn't even begin to describe what the Boy Wonder felt at the moment. Starfire found the outfit strange, and did not like the scratchy fabric, compared to her usual smooth uniform. Beast Boy was embarrassed by all of it, especially the skin-painting. He wasn't used to looking normal...er, scratch that. Raven just pleasantly ignored all of this, but still, the 'eye contacts' were killing her.
"Uh...thanks," Beast Boy choked out awkwardly.
Robin just glowered at the smug-faced girl.
Suddenly, any humor left the room (but not this fic!), and Vaurissa gave them precise instructions.
"Alright, for the most part, you guys look fine. Just a few things. Robin, don't do anything brash. I can tell from the half-hour or so of meeting you, that you're the uptight one," Robin looked ready to protest but then the girl turned to Beast Boy," Beast Boy, try not to move the wig so much, your ears might pop out," Beast Boy nodded and saluted, making both the girl and Raven roll their eyes.
"Raven," Vaurissa looked at the empath, " I think you're covered. Your chakra should be covered by the bangs," Raven sighed in relief, remembering how Vaurissa had tried to take her gem off, until Raven explained it was a part of her.
"And Starfire…" Vaurissa looked unsure now. The problem was Starfire's eyes. The girl had given the star warrior the contacts in hopes her eyes would fit in. But if anything she now looked more out of place as she now had brown eyes, and where it was supposed to be white, the alien's eyeballs were light green. "You know what?" Vaurissa took the contacts off Starfire, "Just figure something out. I'm sure they won't say much." she gave the princess a reassuring smile, and walked to the front . Then she spoke.
"You guys are coming with me to the village," she said bluntly.
" What?!" Robin cried.
"No way, dude," Beast Boy, turning a shade of..well.. how would you describe a naturally green-skinned guy with tan face paint, blushing and 'turning green'?
"Do we have to?" Raven groaned. Oh. Now she cared.
"Yes," Vaurissa answered impatiently. " Otherwise this would be for nothing. Besides, I'm seeing if we could pull this off, for, let's say- more serious situations. So yes, Raven, you have to," she said.
The titans sighed but reluctantly followed her out. They didn't know why they felt embarrassed, though maybe it was because a certain chrome dome could record this, and blackmail them for the rest of their lives. They weren't sure of that, however.
They followed the girl out of the lush forest, climbed down the mountain, and entered the boring village. Starfire hid her eyes, pretending it was sunny out, which it was. Raven instantly pressed the bangs against her forehead, Beast Boy covered his ears, and Robin looked at the ground.
Eventually, they arrived at a small fruit cart, run by a supposedly old lady, but no one was sure anymore. Vaurissa counted the coins she had then walked over to the old lady.
"Oh, who is it this ti- Vau!" the old lady exclaimed.
"Hello, Juju," Vaurissa smiled.
The old lady peered over her shoulder, looking for the village chief. When she saw the coast was clear, she pulled the girl into a hug, shocking the Titans. Didn't everyone dislike the girl?
" It's good to see you! Umekuwaje mdogo?! " Juju smiled at the girl who frowned, annoyed.
" Ju! These guests are outsiders-" she waved her hand to the Titans, trusting the nice lady to keep her secrets,"Speak English!" she huffed, "And I'm good by the way."
"Did you just speak Swahili?" Raven asked, a little unsure (yeesh, how many times have I used that word?).
"Why yes, I did," Juju smiled at the half-demoness," Kwanini? Unaongea?"
"Uh…" the sorceress blinked dumbly.
"I'll take that as a no," the old lady seemed amused, "But if you don't speak it… how'd you know what it was?" she questioned.
"I guess I just...recognized it," Raven shrugged, " I've always wanted to learn it,"
"Hm...interesting," the old lady's eyes sparkled," Do any of you speak Swahili?"
Robin shook his head, clueless. He turned to his girlfriend, hoping she wouldn't bring up her 'talent', but to his relief, she shook her head as well, and left it at that.
Beast Boy didn't answer, instead he asked," Are we in Upper Laumba?"
"Yes, we are!" Juju chirped. Maybe the old broad was a little too cheery. " How'd you know?"
"I didn't," the usually green boy grew quiet, " After you spoke Swahili, I figured we were in some part of Africa. I used to live here. Well, not here, but Upper Laumba back in our universe," Beast Boy explained.
"Well, if that's the case, do you speak Swahili?" she asked. Juju, I mean.
"Well, er.." the shape-shifter scratched the back of his head, " I used to, but I guess I...kind of forget?" Beast Boy lied, " I moved away from the country when I was eight,"
It wasn't a COMPLETE lie. There was some stuff that was fuzzy, but other than that, he was pretty much fluent. He just didn't want to direct attention to himself in his current situation.
"Oh, that's a shame," Juju sighed," Hopefully it'll come back to you. Now what did you guys need?"
"Apples," Vaurissa smiled.
"How many? And what kind?" Juju asked, going through the assorted fruits.
"Well.."
"When I said stay out of town I meant it!" A voice crabbed behind them.
The Titans turned to find the village chief, Rozo, waving his fist at them. Well, more supposedly the girl, Vaurissa. She sighed and turned to face him.
"Hello, chief," she spoke coolly," Are you going to nag me or should I get your cane first?"
"How dare you!" the chief seethed, face-blotches with anger. The titans were trying to remain respectful, especially Beast Boy, but it's hard to take a 4 ft 1 man in a ridiculous Indian get-up seriously," And don't even think for a second I didn't see past your little disguises," he wagged an offending finger to the Titans.
"We're just following orders," Robin spoke, remaining as professional as he could in such an unnatural situation.
"Orders? Ha!" The chief laughed with anger," You're just mocking us! As if we were fools!" Raven resisted the urge to raise an eyebrow.
"With all due respect, your Shortness," Beast Boy spoke," Would you rather have us walk around looking the way we did," he saw Chief Rozo's raging face, and continued," You know what, your right, superhero tights are so last year. Maybe peacock feathers? You like birds, right?" The changeling then put on a show of clucking around as a chicken.
Robin and Cyborg grumbled with embarrasment. Raven did her best to ignore him, fighting off the tiniest smile off her face. Starfire laughed with glee, while Vaurissa smirked with amusement at Chief Rojo, who looked like a tomatoe.
"BEAST BOY!" Robin and Cyborg shouted. Beast Boy stopped clucking and transformed back. Whence he did, he found the chief turned pale and was staring right at him.
"A freak!" He shrieked with delusion," A freak of nature!" He shook his head, trying to make sense of it all.
"Well, at least this freak has a fashion sense!" Beast Boy huffed, slightly offended.
" It's unnatural! Its-its-it…execution!" He hopped around, clamoring on about how weird the young heros were.
"WHAT?!" The titans yelled in shock.
"Off with your heads! Get out of-" The chief fainted, and the team turned to see Vaurissa pointing a glowing finger where the chief once stood.
" There's no need to fight him," she said," KikHe isn't serious. Just walk to your "execution" in a bright pink wig and I'm sure you'll scare him," she joked.
"I'd scare myself," Raven remarked dryly.
Vaurissa gathered the apples, thanking Juju and lead the team further into the town. When she found a small tent, she went inside, the costumed Titans following.
An ancient lady sat near a legless table, sitting criss-cross in front of a shimmering crystal ball. She looked focused, a tiny of an aura surrounding the sphere. However, her concentration broke when Vaurissa cleared her throat.
" Mother Dunahe," Vaurissa spoke, bowing.
Now the Titans didn't have a clue who this strange lady was- Friend or foe, human or creature, trusting or manipulative- but when some one was bowed to, it meant one thing.
They earned respect.
So the Titans bowed too.
The elderly woman rose on shaky knees, smiling, "Please, no need for formalities," the crew stood straight, Vaurissa included.
"Instead Vaurissa, why don't you introduce us?" The woman smiled at them.
"Oh, right," Vaurissa went rigid, embarrassed she had forgotten such a thing. She waved her hand to refer to the Elder," Guys, this is Mother Dunahe. She is the Healer of the X'hal village" Vaurissa said.
Starfire gasped,"Did you say-"
"Anyway, Dunahe, these are the Teen Titans. They are heros from another world in disguise. I trust you will keep quiet?" Vaurissa was serious.
Dunahe smiled and "zipped her lips".
"Your secrets' are safe with me, dear," she winked, " You know this. Now, why are you here?"
Vaurissa explained their present situation. Dunahe nodded and went to the back. When she emerged she came back with a small pouch, and a different crystal ball, this one smaller.
"You can pick up the other ingredients in the forest," Dunahe whispered to Vaurissa, who nodded and continued forth. The Titans followed her, out of the cave, up the mountains, into the forest, and she snapped off twigs and collected branches.
Soon they were back in her cozy cave. Vaurissa started a fire, and just as the team began to huddle around it, Vaurissa stopped them.
" This is for the spell,"she simply explained.
The heros watched as the girl opened the small pouch, sprinkling a dusty substance around the crystal ball, using her blue-colored magic to trap the swirling dust inside. Then, with her mind, lifted the ball, surrounding it in blue aura, and began to glide it over the fire. Just when flames licked glass, a shout disrupted her, causing the ball to fall into her open palms. Vaurissa and the Titans walked to see the short chief and a tall man arguing.
"We should've burned her when we had the chance!" the chief shrieked," She's not from this world!"
The voices grew closer, the two nearly in full sight. The chief carried a water pail.
"But Chief, we are not from here ei-"
"Silence!" The chief roared.
Not from here? Raven wondered. Somethings not right…
But the empath had little time to wonder, because the Chief had now intruded. Seeing the spell in full bloom.
"Well, this should be fun,"

Cybee POV
"Aha!"
Bumblebee turned to see Cyborg beaming triumphantly from behind the screen.
"Found a chip that's not meant to be in here," he got back to messing with the machine, and pulled the chip out," Maybe if I remove it-"
The screen went black. Cyborg looked at the controls again. That was odd. It couldn't have been neither the hardware nor software- he knew which chips those were. And it certainly wasn't the motherboard of the machine…
" Great Job," Bumblebee groaned sarcastically.
" I don't see you trying!" Cyborg exploded, because excuse you, Cyborg-the-master never makes a technological mistake.
"I'm keeping your seat warm," said Bee, tauntingly making herself more comfortable," I think it's a very important job," she replied.
Suddenly, the screen flickered. Now nearly half the town surrounded the cave, in the midst of a verbal fight. Who was winning was hard to tell.
Cyborg crossed his arms in victory,"And what was that about a 'great job'?" he asked.
Bumblebee had a retort on her tongue, when another voice interrupted her.
"Cyborg? Dude!"
The two Titans looked to see Beast Boy staring at them. And the other Titans. Also, unfortunately, the village, including…
"EEEEEEEEEEK!" The chief dropped his water pail, screaming like a little girl, as he jumped into the taller man's with fear, he pointed at the hologram of Cyborg and Bumblee-
"What kind of sorcery IS THIS?!"
He jumped down and wagged a stick at the screen. "If you threaten my people I will unleash the great power of X'hal and the Cylincans shall unleash fury upon your world!" he roared, hopping around madly.
Cyborg blinked. "Alrighty then…" ("X'hal.." Starfire whispered under her breath).
Bumblebee just grinned," There you are! I'm here helping are you guys?" She asked.
" We have to wear this ridiculous costume, and deal with an angry peanut, while trapped in an alternate dimension. What do you think?" Raven sarcastically droned, despite the fact that she was secretly happy to see her friends.
Robin ignored her and smiled," We're fine," he confirmed, Starfire deep in thought behind him.
"Well I think it's terrible!" Beast Boy frantically waved his arms about, making a scene (as if there already wasn't one).
"Do you have any idea what happened to us?" Beast Boy blabbered," First we get chased by this monstery-thingey that can read minds, do a Death-level obstacle course, and now we're in the middle of Weirdsville on Creepy lane 277!" he yelled," Is this for driving the T-Car last week?" he asked. Maybe Cyborg just wanted revenge.
Cyborg tried to compromise,"Listen B, it's not what you-" he stopped, realizing what his grass-colored friend just said.
"YOU DROVE MY BABY?!"
Beast Boy sheepishly backed away, laughing," So maybe you didn't know.."
"Beast Boy, Cyborg didn't do this on purpose. Some one might be behind this," BumbleeBee said.
"Who?" Robin asked. If someone or something was harming his friends, he needed to know.
"That's the problem," Cyborg spoke,"We don't know yet".
"We'll find out as soon as possible," Robin said punching his fist into his palm," But first we have to find a way out of here-"
"Tamaraneans" a feminine voice spoke. Heads turned to see Starfire, now fully undisguised. She looked at them, the village people and began to speak.
"You are all Tamaraneans. I was confused as to what this world was but now I know. It is an alternate world in which Tamaran did not survive the War, and thus you were stranded on some part of Earth. You hid yourselves in fear of being caught by those who would unwelcome you. So you made everyone look the same. Made this town strange so no one would ever want to come back. But you do not need to. The Earth I come from is a strange but beautiful place, filled with wonderful people, and wonderful things. I hope it is the same on your Earth, as humans are far more accepting than one might think. Please, do not live in fear of the outside, only fear the inside, for once you conquer that there shall be nothing left," she spoke.
At first the people were skeptical. But slowly, the townsfolk removed the garb, revealing quite a few Tamaraneans. Starfire gave a short laugh of pride, and then saw the chief by her side, a sorrowful wonder in his eyes.
"How'd you know?" he asked quietly.
Starfire smiled,"X'hal," and with that, even the chief had to remove his wig.
Time skip because I seriously need to finish this
After the town had wished the Titans goodbye, Vaurissa continued the spell. She ordered the Titans to place their hands on the ball and concentrate. Suddenly, powerful winds engulfed.
"I have to warn you, magic like this is dangerous," Raven warned Vaurissa over the winds.
"Don't worry," the pale girl smiled," I've done this before when I moved here,"
Suddenly Raven remembered earlier…
Not from here…
Raven looked confused,"Who are you?"
"I'm not just the outcast of X'hal...I'm the princess of Azarath," Vaurissa said, before the winds swept them away from each other.

Mwhahaha cliffhanger!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I think it's fairly long.
I'm not sure I have much else to say other than next chapter, you'll learn about Vaurissa and any questions you have of her will be cleared up. Oh yeah, and now there in a different world. But for now...peace!
