Kanji's POV

Lucy had picked out or first post Games job, eliminating some bandits that were terrorizing a town. It was just the usual team, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Wendy, Michelle, the Exceeds, Erza and myself.

"I bet we'll find those guys at that fort up by the hill." Lucy said.

"You're pretty gung-ho about this." Gray remarked.

"You bet. With the games and everything we've been on a roll lately." Lucy cheered "This'll be a cake walk!"

"Then let's stop standing around and get moving." I said walking away.

The town was so hilly it was an uphill climb. Lucy informed us that we were looking for a man named Geese, leader of the Bacchus bandits.

"This job was posted by the mayor himself so the reward is huge!" Lucy smiled.

"You get the creepiest look on your face when you think about money." Happy jabbed.

"Shut it cat."

"Hey Erza?" Wendy spoke up.

"What is it?"

"It's awfully quite don't you think?"

She's right….

As if on cue a group of thugs kicked down a door and assembled before us.

"Well it was quite." Gray shrugged.

"So much for an easy job, well maybe it'll be fun." I chuckled.

The gang hurled some lazy insults at us, but nothing that could really wound someone's pride.

"They really know how to get me fired up." Natsu said summoning his flames.

"Remember were looking for their leader." Erza reminded him "We need him if we want the reward. Is that clear?"

"Money, Money, Money!" Lucy cheered.

"She's lost it." Scruff shook his head.

"Get'em!" The bandits yelled.

"Spread out!" I told the others.

We all jumped away and took various alleys to look for Geese. I slowly skidded around the streets blasting people who got in the way.

"Sir!" Scruff yelled "A large force is approaching!"

"Well take care of it then." I told him.

"Very well."

Scruff shifted into his larger form and took out his Ringblade.

"Disc Dicer!" He threw saw through the gang and knocked a good handful down.

"There they are!"

I looked behind us and another group had arrived.

"Gentlemen." I called out "Where is your leader?!"

"Cut him to pieces."

"You asked for this." I told them charging my hand "Arcing Bolt!"

My lightning bounced through and charred the crowd. The bolt bounced up towards the roof and I don't know where it went.

Hope that didn't hit anyone…

"How are we gonna ask them now?" Scruff asked landing on my shoulder.

"Guess I should've lowered the voltage or something…"

We went through some of the side streets and eventually regrouped with Erza, who had also made the mistake of over doing it.

"Any progress?" I asked.

"I'm afraid I have nothing." Erza sighed.

"Yeah me to."

The two of us and our cat made our way back to the lower parts of town. Along the way we met up with Wendy and Carla who like us had not gotten a single clue. Shortly after that we found Gray and Natsu tossing some poor punk around.

"I don't want him!"

"Neither do I!"

"So Hot! So Cold!"

"Knock it off!" Erza snapped.

Like always she was able to stop the two from fighting. Natsu fell onto Gray's ice floor and slid down towards the ocean. Happy went after him and the rest of us used Gray's new captive to find the location of Geese.

"Should be around here." I said as we got to the roof of a house.

A door on the lower level was kicked open and a man came running out.

"Is that him?" we all thought.

There was a big tattoo with his name on the back.

"That's him!"

"I got this one!" Lucy yelled running after him.

"Slow down Sister I can't keep up!" Michelle said stumbling after her.

"Lucy!" I yelled but she was too far "Don't rush in!"

"Yep she's gung-ho." Gray sighed.

"Come on let's get after her." Erza said.

We jumped down to the lower level and chased after Lucy and Geese. When we caught up to Lucy she was caught between a rock and hard place, two buildings to be exact.

"Sister!" Michelle started to try and pry Lucy out of her predicament "Your boobs are too big suck it in!"

"Too big…" Wendy sniffled "Life's so unfair…"

Once we pulled Lucy free she explained that Geese became thin as paper and slipped through the cracks and got away. We decided to accept out lose and report to the mayor.

A short time later

"So you're telling me you idiots managed to wreck my town and that lunatic is still on the loose?!" the mayor yelled.

"Yes sir…" Lucy sighed "I take responsibility."

"He may be at large but his gang has been routed." Erza told him.

"I wanted the boss!" the mayor said "You did more damage than that gang ever did…no reward for you!"

He went back to his office and slammed the door.

"Nehhh!" a bunch of us made faces when he walked away.

"I'm sorry you guys." Lucy said sounding depressed "This was my fault."

"Don't worry about it." Natsu told her "We came here together."

"We win and lose as a team!" Happy cheered.

"And when we get home the Master will punish us as a team." Carla concluded.

"Let's get going." Erza said "We've got a train to catch."

"A train!" Natsu started to panic "Can't we walk or something!"

"You'll be fine." Erza said dragging him by the collar

After Arriving back at Magnolia.

When we arrived home, it was about midday following our embarrassment at Seaford.

"Alright we're back!" Natsu cheered.

"I'm gonna run home and freshen up." Lucy said "I'll meet you guys at the guild."

Lucy ran off and the rest of us watched for her to get down the road.

"She can't fool me with that." Michelle sighed.

"Poor Lucy." Wendy added.

"She'll be fine." Erza nodded "Lucy's always been good at bouncing back."

"And if she has trouble, we'll be here for her." I added "Just like we always are."

I felt bad for Lucy, every time she tries to take initiative she struggles. She always needs our help, not that it's a bad thing but I can tell she wants to stop needing to rely on us so much. When Lucy first showed up at the guild I could tell she was someone special…now we're on a team together, before Lauren came back I thought of her and Wendy like little sisters…I still do.

Lucy and I have a lot in common, we're both blondes, our mothers both died when we were kids, and we have siblings who at one point tried to kill us…well Michelle isn't her biological sister but they are sisters.

While Lucy went home the rest of us headed back to the guild. Erza and I took a seat at the table with Cana.

"Is Master here?" Erza asked.

"Nah." Cana said hugging her barrel "Something about an emergency council meeting so it's gonna be a while."

"What about the rest of my family?" I asked.

"Laxus took the Thunder Legion off on a job and I think Lauren tagged along on a job with Gajeel and Lily, reuniting the old Raven Tail glory days or something she said."

As skilled as Lauren was, she was still new to the guild so Gramps only wanted her taking jobs with other people for a bit while she got settled in. the rest of the day dragged on rather slowly.

A little excitement came up once the sun started to set. Most of the people had gone home for the night…

"Wendy!" The door flew open and Lucy came running in dragging an unconscious woman.

"Whoa!"

We took the girl to the infirmary and Wendy did a quick check up.

"There's nothing wrong with her." Wendy said.

A soft growl slid through the room. It was now clear just what the issue was.

"Maybe she's hungry." Kage suggested.

"I'll have Mira whip something up." I told them "You guys take her out to a table."

The girl woke up once she was back at the table and Mira gave her some food.

"I guess she was just hungry." Lucy said.

"Who is she?" Michelle asked.

"I don't know…"

"What's that bird thing?" Kage added "They're both kinda strange; I haven't heard her say a word yet."

Lucy went over and introduced herself properly, Natsu joined her but he was much ruder.

"My name in Momon and this is my friend Éclair." The bird said "I took her in just a couple of years ago."

"You took her in!" Jet and Droy yelled.

"Shush!" Erza glared at them.

Éclair all but brushed them off and quickly got ready to leave. Carla quickly got up and started spouting off information.

"You're going to a forest…be careful…a great sadness awaits you there…"

"A forest…yes that's right…the Boundary Forest." Éclair mumbled.

"You sure you wanna go there?" I asked "That place is dangerous. A lot of S-class monster jobs go through there."

"Come along Momon." She said just ignoring my warning and leaving.

"Hold on!" Lucy said going after her.

Lucy and Natsu went after Éclair and left the rest of us in the guild.

"Are we going after them?" I asked the rest of the gang.

"Of course." Erza said.

"Can't let Flame-brain have all the fun." Gray added putting his shirt back on.

"Let's go." Wendy nodded.

"Big Sister has probably already agreed to something." Michelle said.

Sure enough Michelle was right, Lucy and Natsu had agreed to escort Éclair through the forest.

"We'll be going too." Erza said.

"Nothing else to do." Gray added.

"I've been meaning to see the Boundary Forest for a while now." I chimed in.

Éclair just sighed.

"It be nice to have some company." Her bird friend told her.

"Very well."

"The train doesn't leave for a few hours." Erza said "Everybody go pack and we can meet at the station."
