AN: Back again with another chapter. I'm really surprised by the amount of follows and favourites this story has gotten and I'm really thankful for that.

"Stay focused Jaune!" Weiss shouted out to him as he narrowly missed a sniper shot from Ruby.

"I know but, didn't say you wouldn't interfere at all? He asked. Bringing up his shield to block an additional sneaky shot.

"Yes but that doesn't mean I won't encourage you with simple hints here and there." Rubbing her temple as she watched him and Ruby go back and forth.

Ruby and Weiss had returned earlier from their mission and were planning to spend the rest of their afternoon relaxing. However they encountered Jaune returning from his duties. Ruby got all excited as she found her cure to boredom.

Somehow Weiss got dragged along as well she used her semblance to speed through the academy with herself and Jaune in tow. Arriving in front of empty training after eight consecutives tries.

Ruby had apparently wanted to spar with Jaune, after watching his fight with Winter two days ago. Now here she was, spectating her two dolts.

"Geez Ruby, you're using your sniper a lot lately. I can barely even get close to you at all."

"Hahaha see Jaune. You will never win, if you're so far away from me." She gleefully said, chucking a cheeky grin at him.

"Ruby, this doesn't technically count as a spar if you keep ridiculing him with bullets." Weiss commented, unamused at her partner's fanatics.

"But Weiss. Jaune is holding himself pretty fine at the moment. I don't see him complaining at all," Ruby said as she fired off another bullet.

"That's because he doesn't have the heart to make people feel bad. He would rather see us being happy instead," she sighed. Weiss gripped her forehead at the childish argument she had been forced into by accident.

"Weiss, it's alright. I don't have any problem with Ruby's current fighting style," he said.

"Thank you Jaune. See Weiss, I told you-hey! That's cheating!"

Looking up, Weiss grinned at the predicament Ruby had found herself in.

Whilst the girls were both arguing with each other. Jaune took the initiative to sneak around Ruby when her attention was more focused on Weiss. When she was distracted again by Weiss. He struck from behind and forced Ruby to switch back her scythe form.

"It's not technically cheating if I wasn't the one not focused on their surroundings."

"S-Shut up you, it still counts," she pouted. Much to the amusement of Weiss.

Swinging his sword around, it slid across Crescent Rose's blade. Creating sparks as metal met metal.

Growling in frustration, now she had lost her initial advantage. Ruby used her semblance to materialise behind Jaune and stick out the other end of her weapon towards his back.

With no chance to dodge. Jaune took the hit head on.

"Oooff."

"Hah! Take that Jaune." Ruby shouted in excitement, no doubt she had felt better after that hit.

Turning his body to face her. Jaune marched upon her, his shield in front and his sword by its side.

Ruby rushed her way to him. Crescent Rose traversing the ground before being swung up in an arc.

Both blades met once again in a clanging of sound. Ruby and Jaune were stuck in a deadlock as they pushed at each other.

"Grrr, how are you all muscles now? What happened to dorky, scraggy Jaune?"

"Well it's amazing what a whole eight months on the road can do to your body and some late night training."

Yes indeed. Without his time on the road, Weiss dreaded the thought of how he would've turned out. Tall, blonde and still scraggly looking.

Well...he certainly wasn't scraggy anymore.

"Whatever Jaune...Look! What's that over there!"

"Ruby, I'm not falling for that." Shoving his blade away, he took a step back.

"Damnit." Pouting, Ruby was annoyed that her trick didn't work.

"Ruby, you can't expect a childish trick to succeed against someone of Jaune's strategic mind." Weiss explained. She was getting annoyed at how her partner wasn't thinking more strategically. Unlike Jaune, who was.

"But Weiss."

"Heads up Ruby!"

Closing the distance again, Jaune activated the gravity dust in his shield. Propelling her across the room.

"Jaune!" She whined at how careless she was.

"Sorry Ruby," he smiled at his fellow leader. "This is payback for pelting me with sniper rounds."

Weiss felt another headache coming along but there was also another feeling inside. It felt strange. Jaune and Ruby were enjoying themselves but to her, the scene made her feel like her presence was unnecessary.

"I'll be back, I'm going to get some fresh air," she said. "I should be fine, I'll meet you two later today."

"Oh..okay Weiss."

"Don't worry Weiss. I won't hurt him too badly."

Waving the two of them off, she stepped outside of the room. Sighing to herself as the door closed behind her.

"Idiots."

[~]

Walking around the outskirts of the academy proved to be the trick. Not having to constantly listen to Ruby and Jaune was...refreshing to say the least.

"Something on your mind Weiss?"

"What? Who?" Turning around to face the voice. She calmed down when she saw who it was.

"I guess that means there is something on your mind after all."

"Winter! Where did you appear from."

"Well I was walking by until I noticed you were standing out here all alone. Normally you would have had one of your teammates or your boyfriend with you."

"Do we really spend that much time together?" Brushing strands of her hair away. Weiss couldn't help the growing heat in her cheeks.

"It's very obvious that you clearly enjoy being in his presence more so than often. However I did ask you a question earlier which you have yet to answer."

"Nothing is really on my mind, I just had to get some fresh air after specating my partner and Jaune spar...well more like argue with each other like two idiots."

Stepping closer to her sister, Winter raised an eyebrow at her. "Really, it must sound like fun if it required you to step out for a while."

"Ha. If you consider the two of them arguing about their unorthodox methods in their fighting style. I honestly don't know how those two can just keep talking about that?"

"When a topic interests both parties, it's not uncommon for people to relate to one another for hours."

Huffing in frustration. Weiss just hopes that the rest of their teams finishes up with their duties before she goes mad.

"Is this jealousy I detect in my sister?" Winter teased.

"What?! Excuse me, I do not get jealous," glaring at her sister with her eyes narrowed. "As a Schnee, I'm perfectly in control of my emotions and feelings towards others. There is nothing to be jealous about."

"And so am I. Weiss, was it perhaps that you felt like you didn't seem to fit in at all?" Winter asked.

"No it was nothing like that at all," stamping her foot down. Weiss' face scrunched up at the very thought of being jealous. She was just feeling out of place. Sure Jaune and Ruby were having fun and all that while she sat on the sidelines.

That doesn't mean that she was jealous. Not at all, her pride wouldn't allow it.

"Weiss, you know that you don't have to hide away just because of your pride. It's okay to express your true emotions than to bottle them up."

Of course her sister would have seen right through her ploy.

"Was it so obvious?" Weiss sighed. Closing her eyes as the breath escaped her lips.

"Weiss. It's not everyday your whole persona dictates your whole life. You're allowed to express how you feel no matter what. Now tell me, what is chewing your mind?"

Eyeing her sister, Weiss took a deep breath to help calm her nerves.

"Well to start. Whenever Jaune and I are alone, we can spend time off end. Talking to each other and the occasional dealing of our team's teasing. It's whenever he spends time with Ruby, he connects with her easier than he did with me. Just spending time in that room as they bantered away, made my insides unsettling."

"I see, so you feel left behind whenever Jaune connects to other members of your team much better than he does with you?"

"I...well yes. It's stupid and I know that but I can't help it," disgruntled, Weiss crossed her arms.

"Weiss, you're over thinking things again."

"What?"

"It's natural for your significant other to get along with your friends and he is no expectation. That doesn't mean he doesn't love you less for that. Your jealousy just stems from how he can have fun with others just like you two do."

"...I'm really am stupid aren't I?"

"Yes. Yes you are."

Winter cracked a rare smile at her sister; who giggled in response.

"Thank you for that Winter. It really helped to calm my nerves a bit and realise that my jealousy is nothing more than stupid wanted affection from Jaune."

"It's okay Weiss, I still have some duties to get done so I'll see the next time when I'm free."

"That sounds nice, I'll see you the next time then Winter."

Nodding her head to her sister, Weiss watched as she walked off. Before she made her way back into the academy.

Later at dinner, Weiss prepared for another headache as now Yang had joined the mix.

"So Jaune. I heard that you were training with Ruby earlier. How did that turn out?"

"Oh Oum, don't remind me. Ruby managed to get a sneaky last sniper shot before the fight ended. Really flung me across the room," he groaned.

"Hey! I only did it because of your shield bash," pouting from the side. Ruby crossed her arms while looking away from the group.

"Awww. My little sister couldn't handle a loss. How typical of her."

"Yang, stop it!"

"Wait just a minute," Nora interrupted, pointing between Jaune, Ruby and Weiss. "If you two were training, then what was Weiss doing during that time? I wouldn't be surprised if she got jealous. I certainly would, if some girl came upon Ren."

A small yelp escaped Weiss' lips. Clamping her hand over her mouth, her eyes widened as Nora had a knowing smirk on her face.

"Oh, this is classic ha. I knew it!" Nora shouted.

"So Weiss eh?" Smirking at her. Everything on Yang's face was screaming mischief incoming.

"S-Stop it you two. You're just spouting nonsense now."

"Wait, was that why you step out?"

"Jaune not now!"

She couldn't believe it. First it was bad enough Yang had caught wind of Jaune and Ruby's session but to have Nora switch the topic over to her and have Yang jump on the bandwagon.

"I was not jealous, thank you very much. I was merely getting some air after my head started to hurt from their constant shouting."

"Sureeee, keep telling yourself that."

A stare down commenced between Weiss and Yang. Neither one wanted to give in. The whole table was silence except for the occasional burps from Nora.

"Weiss. Please calm down, you know how Yang gets when she gets into the mood. Don't let her influence you," pulling on her arm, Ruby tried her best to calm down her furious bestie.

"Ruby. I can't let this...this blonde fool get the best of me. I shall not accept it."

"Sure you can Weiss cream. I bet you like a certain type of cream from a certain someone." Wagging her eyebrows. Yang reeled in the fish on her hook.

Ruby glared at her sister angrily as she wasn't helping in defusing the situation. Blake choked on her piece of fish, Ren managed to cover Osccar's ears, Nora had an evil smirk on her face as she nudged Jaune.

Jaune was completely speechless. He turned his head repeatedly between Yang and Weiss, trying to fathom what had just happened.

"Do you want to say that again?" A dangerous edge was in Weiss' voice. Sending shivers down everyone's spine.

"I bet...you like someone's-"

"That's it!"

No one knew what happened next but for all they know. Weiss had climbed out of her seat and launched herself at Yang.

"Haha Weiss. There's nothing wrong in admitting the truth."

"Shut up Yang!"

"Ahhh Weiss, Yang stop it." Ruby frantically said.

"Weiss calm down please." Jaune begged. Holding her small body back with all his might.

"Let go of me Jaune." She tried with all her might to claw her way out of his grip. "I'm seriously going to freeze her with myrtenaster in a minute."

"Oh chill out Ice Queen. You're the one who admitted it out loud not me."

"Nora!"

"Nora, now is not the time." Ren sighed.

"Ruby, can you deal with your sister while I'll deal with Weiss. Please." Jaune asked, clamping onto her as she struggled against his grip.

"Yep, go calm her down male bestie. I can handle Yang with the rest of the team."

Receiving a thumbs up from Ruby. Jaune surprised Weiss by hoisting her into his arms as he carried her out of the room.

"Jaune! Let me down this instance!"

"Nope, we are going to deal with this like two rationtal adults."

"...I hate you and you better know that."

Kissing the top of her head. Jaune smiled at her. "I know."

Discontent with her fate, Weiss resigned herself to be carried in his large arms.

[~]

"So...do you mind telling me what that was all about earlier at dinner?"

They were both standing in the same training as before but this time. Weiss had Myrtenaster while Jaune was only allowed his shield.

"I told you, Yang made an inappropriate joke and Nora certainly wasn't helping before that. I just...lash out in anger. That's all to it."

"Weiss, I can understand the Nora part but what I don't get is how Yang managed to rile you up so easily. Normally you would be fine."

Huffing in annoyance, Weiss formed an ice glyph underneath his feet in response.

Jaune had just barely noticed what Weiss was doing before rolling out of the way. Just narrowingly missing his feet getting stuck in place.

"Weiss! What was that for?" He shouted.

"Shut up you, you're not making me feel any better." She screamed out.

Forming another glyph in front of her. Jaune knew that Weiss wasn't thinking clearly but he had no time to argue with her.

Blocking the firebolts with his shield, Jaune really wished he hadn't left his blade behind when she asked him.

Glyph after glyph just kept coming after him. Weiss was furiously going at it with him.

"Weiss, stop!"

Those were the only words he managed to get out before being pelted with ice projectiles. He tried his best to defend against them but there were way too many to handle.

Unluckily for him, a shard knocked the side of his head. Fighting through the pain and dizziness, Jaune fought the urge to give up and accept defeat.

Fate had other ideas for him. With his back turned, Weiss fired another bunch of firebolts at him.

Unaware of the impending doom, Jaune felt his waver as he was slung across the floor.

"Ha. See I told you...Jaune!"

Out of her daze, it was only then Weiss realised her mistake. As Jaune laid unresponsive on the ground.

"No. Jaune!" Rushing to his side, she saw the damage her last attack had on him. His back armour was badly burnt. Other than that, his aura had managed to protect his body from external harm.

"Jaune. please respond you big, dumb idiot." Tears came pouring out as she rested her head on his heart. "I'm sorry, this is all my fault. I was an idiot who got jealous and that turned to anger. Please wake up."

She just sat there crying for who knows how long. It didn't seem real, Jaune just accepted all the outlash she unleashed onto him.

"Weiss?" Her heart fluttered when she heard his voice. It was weak but still audileable.

"Jaune!"

"Hey Weiss…"

He never got the chance to finish his sentence as her lips crashed with his.

"You stupid dolt, you had me worry sick about you. Why did you just stand there and become my punching bag?"

"Well, it seems like you needed to destress and I was the only thing nearby. Plus you did say to use only my shield for some reason."

"Idiot." Kissing him again. Weiss felt butterflies in her stomach as he was okay.

"Weiss, you don't happen to think that Ice Dust would be effective in cooling down my back?"

"No dolt. Unless you want to get your entire back frozen then go ahead but in all seriousness. Let's get you to the infirmary to get that check out because I don't trust your judgement."

"...Fine."

Allowing himself to be supported by her small frame as they hobbled their way over to the infirmary. To unwanted eyes, it seems like Jaune was the one supporting her instead.

Author Note: For those who also follow my second White Knight story The Healer and the Heiress. I apologies for the lack of update, I had finished the second chapter but decided to get it beta read. Oh boy did that help me a lot, probably use it again but I have been slack lately so I might just to stick to no beta to better managed my time. I will work hard to get that chapter out and again I'm sorry for my slack.

On a side note, how good is the new OST. I've been jamming out to it whenever I write now.
