Kanji's POV

I was sitting on the beach with Erza. We were on our honeymoon at Akane Resort, the place I proposed.

"Oh yeah…" I stretched in the lounge chair "This is the life."

I heard Erza sigh "It is quite relaxing isn't it?"

"Maybe we should move out by the sea." I said "We could have a view like this every day."

"We just bought a house." Erza said "Moving is out of the question…besides the shore is too far from the guild."

"I wonder what they're up to back home, at least they're not bothering us."

Erza looked at me and we both laughed. I picked up my tropical drink and held it up.

"Here's to rest, relaxation and my wonderful wife." I said.

"The same to you my handsome husband." Erza smiled.

"Cheers!"

Back at the Guild

Michelle's POV

I was sitting in the guild at a table with Natsu and Lucy. I thought I was sick the other day but I felt fine now, but I still can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched. Lucy tried to say that I was being stalked but I said she was just being a worrywart.

"Ugh!" Natsu yelled "When are Erza and Kanji getting back, I wanna fight!"

"Will you calm down?" Big Sister told him "They'll be back next week, let them have fun, they just got married."

"Still it's so boring." Natsu said.

"Why don't we go on a job then." I suggested.

"You're a genius!" Natsu yelled "Let's go Happy!"

He grabbed Lucy and I and started to run out of the guild.

"Natsu we have to pick a job first." Lucy told him.

"Oh yeah!"

A Few Hours Later

Location- A bandit camp in the wilds.

We had taken a job to eliminate some bandits outside of Magnolia. It was just Natsu, Happy, Lucy and I. Wendy was visiting Sherria and Gray opted to sit this one out. We had already entered their base and taken care of the main room. We decided to split up and look around for the stragglers around back.

"HYA!" I cut down a guy in the room my hall had emptied out into.

My sword clanged against the bandits.

"Vine Slam!"

I lifted the man up and threw him into the ground with incredible force. I hummed to myself as I made my way back towards the main room. I got back but Natsu and Lucy weren't there.

I stood in the center of the room and waited for them to return.

"I've got you now!" a bandit yelled.

I turned just in time to see an arrow coming right at me. I pulled my shield up to try and block it but nothing got hit. I lowered my shield to see a hand had emerged from the floor and grabbed the bolt in midair.

"You need to pay better attention." A deep voice said.

Chase emerged from the floor "This is an armor pricing bolt, you could have been killed."

I just stared back at him "Thanks."

Why is he here? That feeling is back…

The man raised his arm and a longsword came out from under his cloak. I ran forward and cut the archer down before he could attack, the room was quiet again.

"Why are you following me?" I asked him.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He said "You're lucky I was here."

"You're a regular knight in shining armor." I mumbled.

"How kind." He smirked.

"Are you stalking me?" I asked him outright.

"WHAT?!" he yelled.

"You are!" I said.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He said turning away.

"I can't believe you! I was actually starting to think you were a nice guy!" I screamed "But you're just a pervert who spies on woman in the shower!"

"I have never followed you into a bathroom." He spat back

"You are stalking me!"

"Michelle we're back!" I heard Lucy call.

"Who's that?" Natsu asked.

Chase clicked his tongue.

"You!" I heard Natsu growl.

"Michelle." Lucy said "Is everything okay?"

"No…" I said "You were right I'm being stalked."

I felt the room get very hot.

"Get away from her now." Natsu said through gritted teeth.

I felt Chase grab my wrist and pull me.

"Michelle!"

"GET DOWN!" Chase yelled.

Chase pushed me to the floor and I heard a gunshot ring out.

"GAH!" he groaned.

I turned around to see the man lying on top of me, his face looking strained.

"BLEH!" he coughed up some blood.

My hand feels…

I moved him and saw the there was blood seeping through his clothes.

"AH!"

"What was that?" Natsu said "Get out here."

"They're…here…" I heard Chase mumbled.

"Don't talk." I told him.

"You…need to… run…"

Another shot went off and just missed my head.

"AH!"

"Michelle!" Lucy ran over to me "What's happening?"

"I don't know."

I saw Natsu looking around, sniffing the air.

"THERE! Fire Dragon Roar!"

Natsu blew down a nearby tree and a man jumped out. He looked like he was dressed for a safari.

"Spotted…damn." He said running off.

"Get back here." Natsu yelled running after him.

What's going on…

"Lucy…I think Michelle was the one they were aiming for." I heard Happy mumbled.

"Michelle do you know what's going on?" she asked.

I shook my head.

"Chase might…"

I looked back but he was nearly passing out. His eyes were half lidded and he was lying in a pool of blood.

"Chase!"

He was fading fast…we needed to do something quickly.

"Lost him…" Natsu growled walking back in.

"But you never lose a scent." Happy said.

"Yeah but it's like he covered it up somehow." Natsu explained "Just what the heck's going on?"

"Natsu help me here." I said trying to lift the injured man.

"Michelle what are you doing." Lucy asked me.

"He's the only lead we have." I said "I need to know what's going on. If we bring him to the guild Wendy can help him."

Natsu walked up and took the man "Let's hurry."

Carole's POV

"Wendy!" I called out to my friend in the park.

I ran up to her and took a seat on the bench.

"Is Sherria here yet?" I asked.

She shook her head "Not yet."

Wendy, Sherria and I were planning on hanging out today. You know, going shopping and doing other girl things.

"Sorry I'm late!" Sherria yelled running over "WAH!"

She tripped over her own feet and ate it. Wendy got up of the bench and fell on her face as well.

I giggled "You two are so clumsy."

The both grabbed my arms and pulled me to the ground.

"No fair!"

They both laughed and we all got up and dusted ourselves off.

"Before we go I need to run by the guild and ask my dad for some money." I told them.

The three of us headed to the guild and chatted along the way. When we got there, I headed right to Dad's table.

"Hey old man." I said.

"Huh?"

I made a Gimme motion.

"What?" he asked.

"I need money."

"You already got this week's allowance, go take a job if you want something or better yet save it up."

"But Daddy~" I whined.

"No." he said sternly.

"Meanie." I pouted.

Maybe.

"Hey Uncle Macao~"

"Don't even try it."

"Drat he got to you." I huffed.

I sighed and walked back with over to my friends.

"Looks like I won't be buying much." I let out a stressful breath.

"It's no big deal." Wendy smiled "It's spending time together that matters."

"Well let's get going." Sherria said.

We were all set to leave when the door got kicked open.

"Wendy!" Natsu yelled.

"Natsu?"

I peeked over the crowd in front and saw that Natsu and Michelle were carrying a bloody half dead man.

"Oh no!" Mira screamed "This way quickly!"

You could smell the blood all the way across the guild. Natsu dragged the guy to the infirmary and Wendy and Sherria were right on his heels. I looked back at the door, Lucy had a worried look on her face and Michelle's pink shirt was soaked in red.

I went to the back and did my best to help Wendy and Sherria. The two of them used their magic while I helped Mira wrap bandages and stich the hole in his side.

"What's wrong now?" a voice asked.

I turned and saw the old woman from the forest, Porlyusica, had entered.

"Step aside girl." She told me as she went to pull the bullet out of the man on the bed.

I sat over by the window and watched, I wanted to help Wendy and Sherria more but I was just in the way. Michelle had come into the infirmary and she looked worried.

I stared outside. Everything seemed normal until I saw a sparkle from a bush.

What's that?

The window suddenly shattered as a dagger flew through it right at Michelle.

*whisssssss*

I looked over and saw Natsu had caught it like it was nothing.

"Wax-Make Panel!"

I set up a wall to cover the broken window.

What's going on?

Kage's POV

"And then he got shot." Lucy finished explaining to Master "Someone was out to get Michelle."

"Hmmmm." Master hummed "This is troublesome…"

There was a shattering sound coming from the back of the guild, towards the infirmary. Lucy and Master ran back there. Gray and I followed after them. When we got there Natsu had snatched a dagger out of the air and Carole was creating something to barricade the window.

"What's going on?" Master asked.

"That just flew in the window." Carole said.

"And guess where it was aimed." Natsu said.

Lucy was doing her best to comfort the terrified Michelle.

"What's going on?" she asked "Why does someone want to kill me?"

Master closed the door "I'm not sure but he most likely knows."

"He's stable for now." The old lady said "But it will be some time till he wakes up."

"Until then Michelle will stay at the guild. Someone will be with her at all times." Master said.

"I'm not going anywhere." Lucy told her.

"This is a bad time for something like this to be going down." Gray said "Laxus and Lauren are both on a job and Kanji and Erza are out of town."

"Let's avoid calling them back here until we know the situation." Master said.

"Ugh…" a groan could be heard from the bed "That fricken hurt."

Michelle jumped up and moved over to this guy's side.

"He shouldn't have woken up so quickly." Porlyusica said "I guess those two girls are good for something…"

"Chase…" Michelle said.

"Where am I?" he asked her.

"You're in Fairy Tail." Master answered for her "And you have a lot of questions to answer."

Lucy didn't even let him catch his breath before she spoke up "Why is someone trying to kill Michelle."

"And why were you following her?" Natsu added.

"The answer to both is the same." He said "I wasn't stalking her; I was trying to protect her."

"From What?" I asked.

"The Anomaly Hunters." He said.

"The who?" Carla asked.

"A Hunter guild that specializes in taking down rare, one of a kind creatures. Things like albino monsters or other Magical Anomalies."

"But why would they want Michelle?" Sherria asked.

"How many other dolls who became humans do you know?" Chase responded "After you guys took down Carbuncle I floated around the black market for a few weeks, when I was there I saw the bounty for the rare 'Living Doll of Fairy Tail' I recognized the face so I decided I'd make a point to stop those guys, look where that got me."

"But why didn't you tell me?" Michelle asked "We could have helped you sooner."

"It was too risky. They'll only get more aggressive now that they know you're on to them."

"You say you were watching her." Gray said "But why was today the first move they made."

"It wasn't" Chase said "I've stopped an attempt the last three nights."

"Is that what those scratch marks on your chest were?" Wendy asked "The looked recent."

"Those are from three days ago." He told her.

"Well then if they're after Michelle we'll just have to take them out first." Natsu said "Let's show them not to mess with Fairy Tail. Where's their guild hall."

Chase shrugged "I don't know but they probably have a guy or two in the area who could tell you."

"Well then." Natsu punched his palm "Let's go find 'em."
