Greetings from SeekerMeeker.

So, I thought that the last episode was crazy. And then...another episode that gave even more.

Spoilers in effect (once again):

The latest episode, "Young Blood, Old Souls," was another crazy episode. It has even more similarities with Gravity Falls than I expected. So, I decide to make another open-ended story, allowing anyone to take it and make it into your own.

Note: just like the other story I did, this story is designed so that anyone can do with it as you wish. This is my interpretation of what can happen in the aftermath of the episode.

FYI: you are free to do with this story as you wish. If you want to make your story because of this, just reference me like this:

"This story is inspired by SeekerMeeker, used with his free permission."

Something like that is good enough for me, just like the "Agony of a New Revolt."

Young Revolt, Old Magic

By SeekerMeeker

Dear Diary,

Bienvenidos from me.

It has been seven days. Yes, exactly seven days since I have written this.

It was a crazy time. One moment I was pulling a daring move to save Eda, the next moment Lilith shows her side that I did not expect, and then...this.

So, let's just say that the real bad guy here made a deal with me. For some reason, he wanted the portal-thing, which means that...I cannot get back home this time. However, I did destroy it. It appears that despite his great magic, he is unaware of the glyph-magic that I have seen. Apparently, it works only in the Boiling Isles, not in my world (I learned that the hard way). His apparent inability to restore it (well, when I last saw it) is clear evidence that the glyph-magic thing is something different. I mean, for the "greatest witch," even he had his weaknesses.

Wait, I think I did not introduce myself. Alright, so who am I?

Luz Noceda

I am Luz Noceda, the only human being apparently on the Boiling Isles, an area full of crazy things and magical phenomena. Being human, I cannot cast spells naturally. Instead, I draw glyphs, which I somehow can discover from the others when they create their spell circles. I am the apprentice of the most powerful witch in this world...well, formerly.

Oh, and by the way, before I talk about her, I now have one major problem:

I cannot get back home.

As you can see, I had to give up the only way back. The portal, which Eda used to get "human treasures" to sell on the black market, was also the only way back home. However, I gave it up to that mysterious Emperor Belos, who was said to be the greatest witch alive. I do not know the full extent of what he has in store for us, but whatever it is...I hope that I have delayed or disrupted his plan.

Eda Clawthorne

She's alive and even back to herself, except that she cannot cast magic. Apparently, Lilith decides to make amends by utilizing her magic to somehow restore her. In return, both of them lost the ability to wield magic.

Now, it's odd that I, Luz, am the mentor. It's so weird, as I am the one teaching both of them my glyphs and what I know. I showed them both how I first figured out the glyphs. Eda was very surprised at how I somehow learned it from the cell phone. Lilith also did not anticipate that, and both were quick to learn. Oh yeah, speaking of both...

Lilith Clawthorne

The greatest surprise was her. She, the very one who cursed Eda, also was the one who decided to turn around and help.

Of course, she has a LOT to answer for.

Eda can easily forgive her, but for us...well...

I am still figuring things out.

King

King was more than glad to see her old friend back to herself, except without magic. King cuddled up to her, and even slept like a baby (he vehemently denies this). However, he has second thoughts about Lilith, even after restoring Eda back. Now, he's still wary of Lilith.

Hooty

Hooty is still himself. Yes, some things never change. However, he did volunteer to be enchanted again. Willow and Gus worked with me to utilize that magic that we used, causing Hooty to walk around and settle in a completely different area. In order to throw people further, Eda pulled the strings to hire some Construction people-things...whoever they were, they looked like a sketchy version of the Construction Coven. Long story short, after Hooty moved, the weird construction guys then built a fake version of the Owl House on the spot! That was cool; I am surprised at how many people still work for money these days.

Owlbert

Owlbert is still alive. Like me, he's glad to see Eda alive and back, but can tell that she cannot use magic anymore. He's still himself, cuddling up to both me and her.

Willow Park and Gus

Some of my closest friends ever. They were and are true friends to the bitter end. They even admitted that they had a plan to help Eda escape. Wow, that's amazing!

I guess that's what true friends do.

Now, Willow is working to improve her own plant magic, while Gus is trying to create a "clone army" of sort. Eventually, I decided to show them more of my glyph magic. Both were more than excited, as even they could tell that it was no ordinary type of magic. Both got even more excited, when I told them how I used it to trick Emperor Belos.

The magic door

Oh, that also shocked both Eda and Lilith. Eda was shocked that I had to give up that portal door, but she understood and appreciated the sacrifice. When I asked her about the magic door and why Emperor Belos wanted it, she admitted:

"I actually have no idea. I got the door somewhere, and if Belos wanted it, then it's more than I have ever expected."

And more surprises:

Amity Blight

To say that she's angry is an understatement. Amity had a long, LONG talk (more like an angry rant) at her own mentor. She slapped her at least once, which Lilith took well (she is completely aware of her own actions). Even after that, Amity was in no mood to talk to anyone, except me for some reason.

She's still at home, but she sneaks out whenever she can, especially thanks to her twin siblings.

Edric and Emira Blight

Never in a million years, not only Amity, but even her twin siblings are with us! I firmly told them that it's too dangerous, but they love the "fun" and "thrill" of the mission. I told them this is no sport, but a risky mission. They call it the "revolt" against those who have messed with Eda. Oh boy, I am speechless. Like Amity, they are pulling the strings to keep us hidden from the authorities, while contributing to our efforts here.

Even they have some stern words to say to Lilith, knowing full well that she was the mentor to their youngest sister.

Principal Bump

The least likely ally. Somehow, he got wound up in the whole debacle (maybe the wrong word?) and what really happened. Publically, he supported the Emperor's Coven and its messages; he got a lot of funding from that. However, in secret, he sent us messages and information about the latest updates; in fact, it was he who recommended us to move to a new location AND to make a fake building in place. It was he who told us that some us, such as me and Eda, to enter through the fake building, while others will go directly to the new location.

Mr. Bump, thank you so much for believing us.

Bump also has stern words for Lilith, once she decides to spill the beans. Unlike the others, he is able to control his temper, but I can tell that...he is more than angry at how much Lilith did. He admits that she makes even Eda look like a "nice witch." Oh boy, that somehow was more offensive to Lilith than even being slapped by her (former) fan Amity.

I remember Lilith gulping at that.

Ouch.

Diary, I cannot tell you a lot, or what the future will hold.

I mean, I don't have much time. I don't know how long it will take to help Eda and Lilith to learn enough. Even I do not know much about this glyph magic, so I am teaching only what I know.

Plus, since the Coven is still around, we need to be on guard.

Sorry diary, I want to talk more, but gotta go.

Ahora paz.

Signed,

Luz

"Your Majesty Emperor Belos," one of the apparent mechanics shouted. "We're getting some final finishes on this!"

"Finish with care," Belos spoke softly but sternly. "I want quality, not quantity. The day of unity requires completeness, not speed. We have enough time to finish this."

"What about this eye?" another mechanic asked.

Belos made a small but angry sound, apparently due to what Luz did.

"We'll find a way to fix it," Belos finally uttered. "It still has magic, a potent type of magic that we should eventually understand. The eye is all that remains, but it will do. It will do..."

Another cheesy story. It's for anyone to redo and turn into a story.

As you can see, I have my own imaginary take on the portal at the end. It's obvious that Gravity Falls feels are very obvious.

What are my thoughts? From the perspective of a dabbler who is vaguely interested in the whole show:

1) Dana Terrace obviously worked with Alex Hirsch, so it's not surprising that there are plenty of references to Gravity Falls here. The most obvious is the portal construction at the end. I mean, the eye in the middle of the portal? That's so obvious.

2) Plot twists are plenty here. From sacrificing the portal door to Lilith showing her complex nature, this episode was clearly a rollercoaster of emotions for the Owl House fans. I am not very sure about shoving in that many plot twists in only two episodes.

3) Season 2 is obviously going to explore the aftermath of the episode 19, such as Eda's loss of magic and Lilith's attempt at reform.

Just like the "Agony of a New Revolt" story, this story is a template for anyone to get inspiration.

For the fans of The Owl House, good luck waiting for the season 2. That alone will be painful to deal with.

XD

But anyway, peace.
