Michelle's POV

The lions came charging at Lucy and I. We split up and one lion followed each of us. The beast clawed at me with its large paws, I blocked the swipes with my shield and kept back peddling. I bashed it back before taking my swords and slicing it open along the side. Sparks flew out and the lion dropped to the floor.

"They're robots." I said.

Wan cracked his whip and this time a robotic bear arrived. It was riding a unicycle. It rolled at we and I brought out some vines to snag the wheel and throw the bear off. It seemed to get very angry because it got up on its back legs and swiped at me.

"Buzz Saw!" I sliced the arm off the Robo-bear and then used my sword to cleave it along the waist.

I looked over and saw Lucy was struggling with the original lion that attacked her. Virgo was helping her but the two also had to deal with Wan, who had gotten off his podium to attack Big sister, she was using her own whip to bat Wan's back. I ran over to her and swung my sword at the lion.

"Figure Eight Cut!"

I sliced the side of the lion and Virgo came out from under the ground and broke the robot lion's jaw with an uppercut.

"HYAAA!" I swung my sword and cut the lion in two horizontally.

Sparks flew out and the robot shut down. I felt my hand get snagged by a whip.

"Ugh!" I tried to pull it off but it was tight.

I was yanked off my feet and dragged along the floor.

"AHHH!"

Wan was pulling me right towards a cage full of Robo-Elephants.

I'm gonna get trampled!

"Taurus!"

Lucy's Spirit used his axe to cut the cord holding me.

"He's crafty." I said breaking the last of the cord.

"Hmm?" Wan said touching his ear "Yes sir…"

A magic circle appeared on the floor beneath me. A cage formed and I became trapped.

"Hey! Let me out!"

I tried slashing the bars but they didn't break. The cage lifted off the floor and started moving along a chain on the ceiling.

"Michelle!"

"Lucy!" I yelled.

"You've been summoned somewhere else." Wan told me "See ya."

The slashed at the bars but nothing happened, I yelled for Lucy's help but there was nothing she could do.

Chase's POV

"Seek His Blood O Blade of Mine!"

A sword came out from under my cloak and I ran forward at Hauser and slashed wildly. The older man teleported away and pressed a series of buttons.

There was a loud blast and a series of cannons fired at me.

"Fire Dragon Wing Attack!"

Natsu came up and blew the cannonballs away.

"I am Everywhere and Nowhere." I said slipping into the wall "Shadow Walk."

"Tank Shot!"

I jumped out of the wall to avoid another cannon blast.

"Come Forth My Starving Claws and Feed!"

I slashed at the old man and again he teleported away.

I have to get him in one place.

"Machine Gun Fire!"

A hail of bullets started filling the air. I ducked under a wall.

This must be what's it's like to be in the trenches.

"Fire Dragon Roar!"

Natsu tried to blow away the machine gun but it still kept firing.

"Spin through the sky, Flying Tomahawk!"

I pulled out an axe and threw it. It imbedded itself in the machine gun's barrel and created an explosion. I slid back into the shadows. I jumped out at Hauser and slashed at him with a sword. He fired back at me with a machine pistol.

I got nailed in the shoulder with bullet but kept on the offensive.

"Direct Line."

Hauser teleported away and pulled on a different lever. A conveyer belt started up.

He's the master of this whole factory…he's got traps and tricks hidden all over.

"Help!"

I looked back at the conveyer and saw Michelle was trapped a cage that was being pulled towards a large vat full of liquid gold.

"She'll make a wonderful trophy." Hauser laughed.

"Shit." I cursed "Hang on!"

I tried to get to Michelle but Hauser got in my way and kicked my back with his steel toed boots.

"You will not get in my way."

"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!"

Natsu ran up and clocked him in the face. I pulled myself off the floor and ran towards the conveyer. I swung at the bars but they were made of a heavy steel that wouldn't break.

"Chase!" Michelle yelled "we're getting close to the end."

I started trying to break the lock. I could feel the heat of the bubbling gold behind us.

"Chase just leave me!"

I didn't respond I just kept bashing on the lock.

Come on Dammit! I won't let her die!

The cage was approaching the end of the line.

"RAAH!"

*Snap!*

The lock shattered and the door flew open.

"Grab my hand, Hurry!" I yelled.

She reached out and held my hand as I pulled her out.

"Hang on!" I yelled throwing her over my shoulder.

"AHHH! I'm not a ragdoll!" she yelled.

Michelle felt…soft when she was pressed against me.

"Stop Squirming." I told her trying to get us off the conveyer.

"Well don't be so rough with me!" she snapped.

"Reach for the heavens, Hookshot!"

I fired a grappling hook and swung us over to the safer side.

"Will you please put me down?" Michelle whispered.

"Oh yeah." I said letting her down.

"So you escaped the gold." Hauser said teleporting near us, Natsu running around the corner trying to find him.

"I guess I can have you stuffed and mounted instead."

Back in the Circus Dome

Lucy's POV

"Where did you take Michelle?" I asked.

"Master Hauser was ready to see his prize." Wan told me "But don't worry you'll be united on the other side soon."

He swung his whip at me. I jumped to the side and swung at him with my own whip. The two of us swung our whips, matching each other's swings.

"Robot Tiger!"

A creature ran out and jumped at me.

"Cancer!"

Cancer came out and snipped all the wires, disabling the beast.

"Stupid girl!" Wan yelled smacking my shoulder with the tip of his whip.

I sent Cancer away and tried to reorient myself.

I've got enough magic left for one summon…

"Lions!"

A pack of lions' roar and ran at me. These were different than the other animals, these were real.

"Gate of the Lion: LOKE!"

The man appeared in front of me. The lions charged at him but he didn't move.

"Umm…Loke? Do something!"

"Relax beautiful…I got this." He smiled.

He looked at the lions.

"Purrrrr…." The beast stopped in place

They all laid down in front of him purring.

"But how?!" Wan yelled "Get up you idiots!"

"I'm a lion spirit." Loke told him as he petted the lions "Of course they'd kneel before me. Now then…"

Loke fixed his ring and ran forward "Regulus Impact!"

Wan flew back and broke through the wall, exposing a way out.

"I have to get to Michelle." I said "Thanks Loke."

"Any time." He smiled fading away.

I ran out of the room and ended up in a courtyard.

"Which way…"

"Lucy!"

I looked over and saw Wendy, Sherria and Carole coming towards us.

"You guys are here too?" I said.

"How'd you get here?" Wendy asked.

"I just ended up in there." I said "I was with Michelle but she got caught and sent off."

"Well then we'd better hurry and find her." Carole said "But where to?"

"How about there." Sherria said pointing to a large tower at the center of the valley "It sticks out."

I looked around, there were six towers surrounding a large one in the center.

"Yeah that's our best bet." I said.

"These other towers." Wendy said "Do you think other people from the guild are in them.

"Yeah there are others there." Carole said "I can see Gray and Gajeel over there on that bridge."

I looked at another one "I think that's Kage."

"And Cana's over there by that tree." Wendy said.

"I'm going to the center." I told them "Judging by where they're going, we can meet up there."

"But what about that last tower." Sherria said "I don't see anyone by it."

"Someone's still inside?" Carole asked.

"Or they already got out." I added "Come on let's hurry to the center."
