It took a couple of extra days in Boston, but by the time Steph and Ranger left for Chicago, the marriage of Lester and Hector was on its way to being annulled. Hector had shown up and let Ranger contact the RangeMan attorney who told him what had happened. Hector was very quiet about what had happened, but he was mad at himself because he drank so much he couldn't remember anything. The attorney was speechless to say the least, but agreed to work on the annulment. Steph gave Lester a big hug and said, "See Lester, I told you it would all work out. In a few days you won't be married anymore and can go back to your playboy ways."
Ranger made the most of the two Trenton guys being in Boston unexpectedly and put them to work. "Lester, you will go over the installation procedures with Gunner and Hector, you will go over all of the tech stuff with Raoul. Might as well make yourselves useful while you're here." Ranger grabbed Steph's hand and said, "I think we're okay to go to Chicago, if you agree Babe." Steph nodded and said, "Yes, I would like to have one last meeting with the team here to wrap up everything we did. Is that okay with you?" Ranger nodded and said, "Sure Babe. I'll get the guys together in the morning before we head to the airport. Can you let Manny know about heading out to Chicago?" Steph agreed and after talking to Manny, she headed upstairs to start packing.
The next morning, Steph met with the Boston team in the conference room. Most of those assembled were part of the team that they used for the takedown. Steph went over the evening again, and wrapped it up by saying, "Well, it's been fun boys, but it's time for me to move on and fix the next office. I'll be watching boys, so don't screw up. Although I like you all, I would rather not come back to visit right away. You've got some great candidates that came in for the first round of interviews and I think that any of the choices would be beneficial to this office." Some of the guys came to thank her for her work and most stopped by to say goodbye to Ranger. Once the room was empty, Ranger grabbed Steph around the waist and pulled her into him for a long kiss. He asked, "Are you all packed and ready to go to Chicago Babe?" "Yep, just need to get help with my luggage." "Babe." He reached down to swat her ass and she jumped and ran out of the room. He chased her down the hall and grabbed Lester on the way by and made him help with their luggage.
Manny rode down in the elevator with them and helped Lester load up the car. He gave Lester a man hug and told him to take care of his husband. Lester chased Manny into the car and then turned around and grabbed Steph. He pulled her in for a big hug and she reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. She patted his other cheek and said, "Don't worry Les, it will all get taken care of and eventually one of the other guys will do something crazy and then you can tease him." He nodded and then released her. Ranger helped her into the car and then walked around to the driver's door. Lester started to turn away when Ranger said, "Les, wait." Lester turned around and walked over to Ranger. "What?" Ranger pulled him in for a man hug and patted him on the back. "I'll talk to you in a few days. I have something I might need your help with by the time we get to Miami." Lester nodded and started to walk back to the elevator. Ranger got in the car and rolled down his window. "Hey Les? Next time you get married, let us know so we can be there" and he let out a loud laugh. Lester flipped him a few hand gestures, but had a smile on his face. He looked at the departing car and saw that Steph was hitting Ranger on the arm as he drove away. He laughed as Manny turned around and waved at him from the backseat.
They got to the airport and parked the car. Ranger locked the keys in and when Steph questioned him, he said, "One of the guys at the office will come by later and get the car. They have an extra set of keys." They got the luggage checked and Steph stopped by one of the shops.
