Well, what could she do! Ever since they had gotten evicted from their old town, they had no place to stay. So, she decided to start looking around.
The town was vintage, lighted up by lanterns on high sticks around the streets. You couldn't see the streets because it was snowing. Everything was black and white, when she was radiating with color: her clothes, shoes, hair and eyes. The houses were beautiful, but old. The sun was white, the Church was white with a black roof. The windows of the church weren't painted, and the bell was a beautiful shade of grey. The house in the middle was the one of Count Abraxas, she thought with a lucky guess.
"Who are you?" a voice from behind her said. "Are you the new one in town?"
Lily turned around. The boy from behind now in front of her had curly black hair, with black lips (lipstick), a black tail coat and a white thick shirt. His hands were in his pockets. When he spoke, the cold air came out of his mouth.
"It's Lily Evans, and yes, we are new here. Who are you though?"
The boy was getting tired of standing, she could clearly see that, and yet, she said nothing.
"It's Sirius Black." He said.
""How funny. In this town, everything is black and white, and your second name is Black. Is there someone with 'White' as surname?"
Sirius glared at her. How dare she insult his name! His parents were second richest of this place, and this insolent farmers' girl even dared to insult his name!
"Look, little girl, I don't have much time before I get chewed on by my Professor Tobias, so Good Bye and I shouldn't have talked to you in the first place."
He walked away.
When the boy was out of sight, she went to the Counts place. She knocked on the door.
She heard footsteps walking to the door. A voice like the one of a king grand father came through the door.
"Who is it?"
Lily wondered. Was the count this old? Peering through the window, she saw an old woman. Indeed, that was his wife. But who was that beautiful boy with nice platinum hair? Who could he be?
She realized she had to answer.
"It's Lily, the new one here!"
