Kanji's POV
I was sitting at the bar, nervously tapping my fingers. I wanted someone to get back with some information so I could go.
"Are you okay?" Mira asked me ""You've been at that for close to an hour now, you're gonna leave a hole in the bar."
I looked up at her "I'm just, ready to do something, I feel so powerless right now."
"I understand, I know what it's like." She frowned "Your sibling, hurt, and there's nothing you can do, you just feel like deadweight."
"Mhm." I mumbled.
So far everyone who had called in hit a dead end, nothing but destruction and dead councilors. I just wanted some good news. The only news we got so far was that Tartarus wanted to find FACE, an old council weapon, a Magic Pulse bomb that would wipe out magic.
Idiots…all of them, there is no need for a weapon that would cripple all of society…why would a group with the word "Magic" in its name have a weapon that could destroy such a thing?
The key to unlocking that bomb were linked to three councilors with body link magic, even they didn't know they had such a link to the weapon.
So now they put innocent people at danger to hide their own dirty secret.
I put my head down on the bar and started to take a nap.
Too much crap…governmental bullshit…demonic garbage….my blood is boiling.
"Mira." Erza said walking up "We need to go."
"It's time already." She said.
Erza shook my shoulder "Mira and I are going to the ex-chairman's house, are you coming."
"I'm gonna stay here." I said closing my eye "I'll take a nap or something. Maybe that'll cool me off."
"Okay." Erza said kissing me "I'll be back soon."
"Love you." I told her "Be safe."
"I will.."
"Something wrong?" I asked her.
"It's nothing." She smiled "My stomachs bothering me, must just be nervous or something."
"Okay." I smiled "See you soon."
Erza and Mira left and I dozed off.
Sometime Later
When I woke up from my nap everyone was back at the guild. Apparently, I had been asleep for a while, a few hours or so.
"Erza's not back yet?" I asked Kage.
"No sorry."
"I'm going out for a walk." I said standing up "I need some fresh air."
I walked out the door, I bumped into Elfman on the way out but he didn't say much. I headed to the park, but I couldn't shake this awkward feeling in the pit of my stomach, something was telling me I should have gone with Erza and Mira.
"It's not like them to not call with the info; they knew what this meant to me."
Wait, why would Tartarus
"If Loke only knew the locations because of a date, how the heck did Tartarus find them? The only people who would have known those houses are other councilors…"
A bolt shot from the sky and snapped the branch on the tree in the park.
"How was I so stupid?!" I yelled.
"RAH!"
I slammed my hands into the ground, sending out a huge field of static. I was drawn to a strange signature in the sky.
"It's There! Everyone clear out!" I yelled at the people in the park.
I shoved my hand into the air, gathering energy around.
"It will plummet from the heavens and turn you to ash! RAGING BOLT!"
The sky ripped open and slammed into an object in the sky hiding above the clouds, a giant square land mass. I crouched low and then rocketed upward.
"Demolition Fist!"
I punched a hole in the bottom and blasted my way in, a bunch of nobodies looked at me stunned before pulling out their weapons.
"Where are they!" I yelled roaring them away "Where are Erza and Mira!"
"Static Resonator!" I kicked the floor and sent out a field of energy "There."
I jolted down the hall. It only took me one second to find the right door and blow it off. When I entered, I was met with a dark sight, Erza was naked, chained to a wall and getting shocked by some freaky lizard that was touching all sorts of wrong areas.
"Get off my wife!" I yelled ripping the thing off her.
It tried shocking me "Was that some kind of joke?!"
I slammed it into the wall and punched it till it stopped moving.
"Erza." I ran over to her and zapped the chains off "Are you okay."
"I'll be fine." She said changing into her one cloth armor "but…Mira…"
"We'll go get here, who did this Erza…" I hissed.
"Her." Erza said glaring behind me.
"You." I looked over my shoulder and saw a woman, lighting already crackling around me.
She was average height, wearing a purple unitard, some weird mask and had claws for hands.
"You…" I hissed "ARE DEAD!"
I teleported behind the girl and swept her leg, knocking her to the ground. I pulled back and slammed my fist into her face. Erza grabbed this woman and chained her up. By the time we were done Natsu and Lisanna showed up.
"I don't even wanna know why you two are here." I sighed.
"Now for my righteous vengeance." Erza smirked.
"What's with that look, and what about Mira?" I growled.
"Answer the questions." Erza told the woman "Where is Mirajane."
"And where is Elfman." Lisanna pouted.
Elfman?
"I know no Elfman, the one called Mira is in the lab on Layer 3, but it too late for her."
"We're going!" Natsu said running off with Lisanna.
"If so much as one hair on Mira's head has been touched by you." I glared at the woman "I'll rip your damn throat out."
As soon as I finished the whole room shook, no, the whole building rumbled.
"What is that?" Erza asked.
"The seal on FACE was removed" The demon said.
"Then Jellal…"
"We didn't kill him. We broke that seal with…a different method."
"What are you trying to pull." I said "Tell me!"
"It's simple, activating the FACE, will open the way to Zeref."
*Shatter*
The chains holding this woman ripped and she flipped forward at us.
"Did you think Anti-magic chains would work on someone who uses a Curse?"
Erza put up one arm and blocked the slash.
"TALON!" I flipped around and kicked the woman "I know who you are, a puppet to Zeref. No, you're also Kyouka, Harver's…"
"How did you-!" she hissed
"Doesn't matter!" I said punching her into the ground "He loved you and you betrayed him.
"That man…" Kyouka glared at me "I will find him soon. I was born into this, by his weakness, by his love! I have been dictated to this path, I am a demon from Zeref's book, and it is my duty to restore him!"
"It is your heart that decided such things, not fate!" Erza said striking Kyouka with her sword "Love shatters all walls!"
"Love is a joke!" Kyouka yelled.
"No!" Erza said changing armors again nailing Kyouka with a spear "Love is an eternal bond, a tie between two people that can never be broken! Kanji!"
"Right!" I grabbed the back of the spear and pushed us forward with lighting "Booster!"
"GAAHHH!"
The force of my lighting tore through the floor pushing us forward. I blew out the bottom of the building, opening a path for anyone to enter. I saw everyone else had made it up to the cube, and now it was time.
"Counterattack!" I shouted "Fairy Tail!"
Gravity shifted and Erza and I landed on the floor. Even though we were flipped over I could see parts of town had been demolished.
"Natsu and Lisanna are fine!" Erza told them "We just need to find Mira and Elfman."
"I'm right here." Elfman said throwing a grunt away "I'm going after my sister!"
"Go now!" I yelled.
Everyone jumped down into the hole Erza and I had drilled.
"Don't forget the blood!" the old lady yelled "You'll need it to heal Laxus!"
"AHH!"
"Erza!"
"You two aren't going anywhere!" Kyouka yelled extending her claws to catch Erza.
"Lucy!" I yelled "The seal broke, I'm leaving FACE to you, and Scruff make sure she gets there."
"Yes sir!"
"Now then." I flashed forward and freed Erza "Let's dance."
Scruff's POV
"In here maybe?"
I was in charge of protecting Lucy and Miss Wendy on their job to take apart FACE, Happy and Miss Carla were accompanying us as well. We had entered a room full of lacrima screens and other technologies.
I won't let you down Sir.
"A map…" Carla looked up.
"Maybe this is a control room." I suggested.
"They were right it has been unsealed." Lucy said.
"Can't we just reseal it?" Happy asked.
"It's locked like that; we can't move it." Carla said.
"It says here if not operated manually it won't start." Lucy said reading the instructions.
"So we have to stop it at the source." I concluded.
"This timer" Miss Wendy gulped "it already turned on, there's only 41 minutes."
"What are we gonna do?!" Happy yelled flying around franctically.
"Calm down!" I yelled.
*clink*
"The resounding sound of Hell's resounding bell the shining demon, Lucifer will restore the land."
A man walked in, he looked kinda like a skeleton.
"Those who fall into Hades will forever wander in purgatory." He said.
"Scary!"
"We don't have time for this." I said stepping up, changing form and taking out my Ringblade "Get out of our way."
"HYAA!" I threw the metal ring but it was knocked back by a long arm.
"You're already too late!" another demon gloated, this one short and stocky.
There was more.
"Aries, Taurus!"
Lucy's spirits appeared and took over the fight.
"Now's our chance." I said popping back to my smaller form "We have to go now!"
Carla and I scooped up Wendy and Happy took Lucy. Once we got into the hall that skeleton was already in front of us.
How is he so fast?!
"Get out of the way!" Gray appeared and punched through the man.
"Love to chat but we gotta hurry!" Lucy yelled as we flew passed.
"There should be a window on the right!" Carla yelled.
When we got to the end of the hall the back wall shattered and that little hunchback guy showed back up.
"You won't escape." He laughed.
The hallway filled with wool and Lucy and Happy got snagged in it.
"Just go!" she yelled "I can handle this!"
"Come on!" I yelled pulling us out the window.
Lucy's POV
I was stuck in this wool trap, luckily Wendy, Carla and Scruff had escaped so FACE would get stopped at least.
"This is the end girl!" the demon yelled extending his arm at me.
I can't move or reach my keys…I can't fight back!
"HAHA!" the man laughed manically as his had approved.
"Dam of Natural Love!"
An assembly of various wooden junk appeared and blocked the punch.
"Shadow Uppercut!"
I floor opened up and Kage jumped out and slammed into the man.
"Kage! Laki!"
"You look like you could use a hand." Kage smiled.
"Thank you." I said as Laki brushed the wool away.
"Our pleasure." She smiled "Now then…"
The floor rippled as Kage's shadow expanded as he put his hands in his pockets.
"If you want to drag us to hell." He smirked "First I'll drag you to darkness."
