Kanji's POV
"Thunder Giant's Fist!"
A giant being covered in lightning appeared and slammed its fists into the ground bringing a bolt of thunder with it.
It's draining but I think I can manage it.
"YAAAA!"
My back was sliced open when Kyouka jumped out of the rubble and clawed my skin.
Damn I was hoping to get her in one shot, it takes so much magic to keep the giant here, not to mention I'm running out of time.
I shot a lightning at Kyouka and went around to punch her but stopped mid attack.
"RAAAAAHHH!"
The air rippled and I felt my giant disappear and my body fill with terror.
"This can't be…" I mumbled.
"What the hell was that?" Kyouka hissed.
"Why is it here?!" I yelled.
There's no mistaking that screech.
"Acnologia." I gulped.
I need to end this now!
"Thunder Vortex!"
I lifted Kyouka off the floor with a charged portal of energy.
"Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd!"
"GAH!"
Kyouka was shot back by my attack and throw into a wall. Above me the sky was covered in a thick smoke and the roars of that damn dragon filled the air.
"Laser Eyes!"
Kyouka rolled around my attack and sliced my chest.
"Damn…" I hissed.
"Electric Shotgun!"
I held my hand out and blew Kyouka back with a forceful blast of energy. In the sky a second dragon appeared, one covered in dark red scales and fiery wisps.
What the hell is going on?
I weaved in and out of Kyouka's swipes. I moved back and flicked my wrist around.
"Light Rain!"
A dozen lasers shot down from the sky and blasted Kyouka. When the smoke cleared her claw shot out and pierced the activation module.
"You can't be serious!" Erza yelled.
"You fool!" I screamed "That'll kill you!"
"Lightning Dragon Demolition Fist!"
My attack was wiped away when Kyouka lifted one arm.
She's activating them all at once…I have a minute at most.
"You still plan on killing me?" Kyouka asked "Because that's the only way you can win now."
"I won't hold back." I told her.
"Good…" she said looking directly at me.
Kyouka shot forward and my entire side ripped open.
"GAAAAHHHAAAA!"
"Tartarus Angel, Soaring Dove Kyouka…" she said now covered in black and white feathers "This is my Etherious form."
"This is nothing…" I hissed in pain running forward and punching the demon.
It hurts…so much…
I roared at her but she sliced right through it.
Dammit.
I looked over and the timer was dropping at an alarming rate.
How power is growing exponentially…
What the hell do I do?!
Diana's POV
"We lost him cause you two decided to have some kind of fake heart attack!" I yelled
"What the hell was that?" Sting asked hearing a loud roar.
"Doesn't matter let's just find Mard Geer and stop him." I said running off.
"Above!" Rogue yelled as the ceiling stared caving in.
"It's Natsu!"
"Thorns!"
We sprung up to the top and broke the plants away.
"I thought you guys were around." Natsu smiled "Why are you here?"
"Long story." Sting sighed.
"Let's just get rid of this guy." I said "4 vs 1 is a joke."
"No." Natsu mumbled.
"HUH?!" we all yelled.
"I knew you were dumb but you're really dumb." I growled.
"This is a job Igneel gave me, I'm doing it alone." He said staring ahead.
"This isn't the time for games." Rogue growled "Lives are at stake."
"Alright clam down." Sting said putting a hand on his shoulder "Let's have a match and see who beats him first, The trinity dragons here, or you."
"I told you I'm beating him up." Natsu yelled running forward "Stay outta the way!"
"That's the only way he'll let us help." Sting said.
I just let out a loud sigh as we went back into the fray002E
Natsu was slapped out of the way by Mard but that opened a place for Sting and Rogue to attack.
"Sand Dragon Diamond Drill!"
My swing missed and got my tripped up by Mard's magic thorns.
"HYUP!"
Natsu jumped off the floor and kicked Mard Geer in the face. Rogue was able to follow up with a punch and Sting then kicked him across the room. I used my magic to form a rock and slam it into the demon.
"How dare you all do as your please in my castle." when the dust cleared Mard looked super creepy "You've managed to dig up an emotion I haven't felt in a very long time…Anger!"
"Congratulations." Natsu smiled "You just moved a step closer to being human."
"Feelings only cloud the mind." Mard hissed "That's why I keep mine in check"
He placed his book down "Please excuse me for a moment Master E.N.D"
"I particularly dislike the emotion known as Anger. It can make you lose sight of yourself. It disgusts me to no end. Mard Geer is Mard Geer, the king of the underworld I will erase my emotions again along with your pathetic existences!"
The pressure and power coming off him went off the charts.
What is this guy…?
"Look out!" Sting yelled.
Mard lifted his arm and the whole floor gave out to a torrent of thorns. We were all tossed around and the roses that appeared exploded when they touched us.
He's terrifyingly strong!
"Go now!" Natsu yelled when he managed to land a hit.
He's acknowledged the true strength of his opponent.
Sting and Rogue mixed there attacks and shot off a massive laser "Holy Shadow Flash Fang!"
I spun in place and shot off a tornado "Dust Devils!"
"Vanish."
Mard clapped his hands and both attacks were nullified.
"He absorbed it?!"
"Lightning-Flame Hammer!"
Natsu dropped from above and blew Mard Geer through the floor with one blast, only for Mard to flip back, blowing Natsu away as the man took a seat again like nothing happened.
"If that's your best you should give up now." Mard glared "I haven't even begun to get serious."
Now he's acting arrogant!
"What could you possibly gain from erasing magic?" I asked.
"Oh did I not explain, removing magic will remove the seal placed on Master E.N.D, the strongest of all demons."
"We won't let you." Rogue glared.
"Have you all wondered, why Zeref created the Demons? Not a single one of my underlings are aware, they are all just weak souls tainted with Demonic power…Return to Zeref…meet Zeref…It's all for one reason."
"Zeref's only wish." Mard smiled "Is to die. And thus, he created something capable of destroying him, demons souls that could be infused into a human vessel. E.N.D was his Magnum Opus, but for some reason was sealed within a book, with a spell linked to this world of magic. Once this seal breaks, E.N.D will be reborn and kill Zeref, which is my greatest wish."
"If all this is for Zeref why involve people?" Sting asked.
"When you walk a path do you intentionally avoid each insect in the way?" he asked.
We were knocked back by a large plant that grew from nowhere.
"This is a plant of Hades!
The weed instantly died when it was frozen solid.
"Ice?"
"If this is important don't lose it." Gray walked up and threw something at Natsu.
"Gray…my scarf."
"Who are you?" Mard hissed as his arm chilled.
"I'm a Devil Slayer, I came to kill you." He said.
Slayer for Slayer…one who can kill a demon.
"I knew Sliver would betray me some day!" Mard screamed as a tower of ice appeared "But it's no matter!"
All of Mard's attacks were being frozen by Gray but the demon just laughed.
"This isn't funny, this is for my Father! I'll kill you!" Gray yelled.
Gray threw a spear before charging in for the final blow, but it was blocked.
"There's more of them!" I groaned.
"I see you made it…"
"This smell."
"Why are you here?!" I growled.
"No way…"
"They told me this man was the Master of one of the strongest Guilds in the country." Mard sighed "They called him a devil incarnate, Jimena."
"Master Jimena…" I glared.
"So he turned along with Minerva." Rogue sighed.
"Turned? No I chose this power for myself. All to be the strongest."
Still clouded by his greed for power.
"Stronger than any of the Nine Demon Gates, this is my newest member." Mard said.
"Member? No once I'm through with these stupid kids your next!" Jimena growled.
I can't move.
"What are you afraid of!" Natsu yelled "just fight!"
Natsu punched at Master but was just blown away.
"My issue isn't with you."
Sting and Rogue tried to attack but were both picked up and slammed.
"How I've waited for the day that I could crush you with my bare hands."
I can't just stand here and watch…I don't care what happens to this old man…We can beat him!
"Sand Dragon Claw!"
I punched Master in the stomach long enough to free Sting and Rogue, allowing them to cross him up with some kicks.
"We can deal with this." Sting told Natsu and Gray "Leave this to us."
Natsu and Gray engaged Mard in combat leaving us to deal with the other problems.
"Was it you?!" I yelled kicking him "You made Miss Minerva come here with you!"
"She was a waste of time; it was foolish of me to think she could be strong."
"She's your daughter!" Rogue growled.
"No, her only purpose is to carry on my bloodline."
"You shut up!" Sting yelled punching him back.
Master stumbled but recovered quickly "Was that it?"
Both Rogue and I were slammed down by his fists and thrown across the room.
"Did you really take over the guild with power like that, you're so weak!"
"We will…return the guild to the way it should be." Rogue said getting up,
"Sabertooth is supposed to be the strongest, and you've made a mockery of it!"
"Maybe we are weak…but not in the way you think." Sting said stnading.
"I refuse to go back to thinking nothing of other people, I refuse to be a slave again." I mumbled.
"In order to be strong, we must push reset." Rogue added.
"That's why…"
"You need…"
"To get out of the way!" we yelled.
"Strong guilds only exist for me!" Master yelled.
"You're wrong!" Sting said punching him "There's another strong guild, and it's right around the corner."
I kicked at his knees "It's our great pleasure to have met such a strong, kind and truthful guild, and being able to call them my friends is more than thanks!"
"Enough!" he yelled throwing us back "Only one can be the strongest! You're weak!"
"And even if we are!" Sting "Learning more is reason to live!"
"We will be strong, just like Fairy Tail!"
"We'll stich the wound you created."
"With the bond of magic!"
I kicked up the dirt hardening the sand into glass strings that Sting and Rogue covered in magic.
"Trinity Dragon Attack: White Shadow Silk!"
"GAH!"
The strands pulled tight and sliced through him.
"We're through living in your shadow."
"Natsu…"
"The rest is up to you guys." I groaned falling over.
Harver's POV
"AHH!"
Kanji kicked the ground and lifted the rubble "Electromagnet Cannon!"
He shot the rocks and Kyouka but she sliced through them.
Her claws cut everything.
"Thunder Giant's FIST!"
Again, a bolt shot from the sky and zapped her. Energy emptied out from Kyouka and Kanji stopped moving.
"Does that hurt? I increased your pain sensitivity. Even breathing will cause unrecognizable suffering." She said.
"Ha." Kanji smirked.
"What's so funny?"
"Pain…is just an illusion." He smiled "It's a warning used to protect the body…in truth it means almost nothing."
"WAH!" the giant behind Kanji grabbed Kyouka and crushed her between her hands.
"How can you even move."
"Every signal in the body is linked to the nerves." Kanji said "Nerves run off electrical impulses, so does my magic. My body is my own puppet."
Kanji stood tall, scratched and covered in blood.
How is he still moving…why is he still fighting?
"Even if you shut off my heart I would never stop fighting." Kanji said moving his giant to slam Kyouka before moving his hands "I have a destiny that awaits me; until I make up my mistakes from what happened today, until I grow stronger so the people I care about never cry because of my weakness again…What you call pain,isn't even a drop in the bucket that is my suffering! There is only one thing worse than the pain of one's body, it's the pain of seeing people you love cry! I WILL PROTECT EVERYONE!"
Kanji moved his hands around.
"That formation!" Erza yelled "Impossible!"
"Can he really pull that off?!" Mirajane added.
"On this day I swear, until I'm strong enough to defend my loved ones, I will never give in! I will defend my guild with my very life!" he yelled.
"What are you trying to pull?!" Kyouka yelled.
Kanji closed his eye "You have three seconds to knell before me."
"Excuse me?!"
"1…"
"Just die!" she ran forward
"2…"
"RAHH!" her arm pulled back to strike.
"3!"
Kanji and the giant both clapped their hands.
"Vanish into nothing." He looked up at her with glowing eyes "Fairy Law!"
Everything was covered in a blinding yellow light. The air stilled, and then the light faded.
"Ha…ha…ha…no…ugh." Kyouka fell to the floor her body riddled with damage.
"He pulled it off." Mira smiled.
"He casted Fairy Law!" Erza gasped.
"Ugh…" Kanji groaned falling forward "I'm finished."
"Incredible!" Erza said hugging him "I never expected…"
"Enough can we just go home." He asked.
"The timer!" Lector yelled "It's still ticking!"
"You have to finish her off!" Lily yelled "There's no time!"
"I can't…" Kanji hissed "I've got nothing left in the tank."
"Just do it!" I yelled "Just kill her please!"
I'm sorry.
"AHHH!"
Minerva teleported forward…and stabbed Kyouka heart.
"Why…did it have to end like this." I mumbled.
Life…is the cruelest beast.
"Har…ver…"
I looked up…she was reaching out for me.
"I…love you…"
"Kyouka…" I crawled my way over.
"I'm…so sorry…" she whispered.
She doesn't have much time.
"Don't please…"
"You…you…have to…" Kyouka started coughing.
"Kyouka?!"
"Take…care…of…Seilah…" she whispered as her eyes started to close "She's…our precious…daug…uhhh…"
"Kyouka…? Kyouka?...KYOUKA!"
Nothing…I could feel her getting colder. I wasn't the only one sitting there. Another demon, the one with the horns was kneeling there as I cried.
"Mother…"
I looked up at this girl; her face looked so much like Kyouka's…her hair the same shade as mine. I let my wife down and hugged the girl.
"Huh?"
"Please." I whispered "Never leave."
"You…Father?"
