Kanji's POV

Everything with Tartarus had come to an end. We had won, but the cost was pretty heavy, half of Magnolia was destroyed, luckily our house managed to not get smashed to bits. Everyone is pretty banged up, Michelle broke her ankle, my magic is still recovering, Scruff broke his blade and got messed up, he just sits in the infirmary all day, he really laid it all on the line for Wendy, at least Laxus is getting better. Even with all that though, I feel really happy, I pulled off Fairy Law, even Laxus couldn't do that just right. Everyone's just taking a few days off to get themselves back in one peace.

I haven't seen much of Harver since then, he left as quick as he came. Not that I blame him, he said he was taking that girl with him, they were gonna go bury Kyouka someplace. I don't know how he does it have lost his wife for that long, tohave a daughter he never knew…but everyday he gets up and keeps fighting.

Speaking of getting up I'm waking up right now.

"Hmm…hum…Huh?" I creaked open my eyes, my bed was empty.

"Erza?" I called out.

"I'm in here." She mumbled.

I rolled out of bed and found Erza in the bathroom leaning against the toilet.

"Sick again?" I asked.

"Yeah." she sighed.

"Are you sure they didn't do something to you?" I asked her "Poison maybe."

"No…" Erza shook her head.

"Maybe we should take you to see the old lady just to be sure."

"No…" Erza shook her head again "I already saw her, I know what's wrong."

"Hmmm?"

"I'm pregnant."

"You're…pregnant?"

"About two months." She smiled.

I hugged her "I'm so happy, anything you need I'm here."

Downstairs I heard someone banging on the door.

"You go back to bed I'll get it." I told Erza "If you need anything just yell."

I headed downstairs and opened the door, Lucy was there.

"Oh hey Lucy, listen now's not a great- are you okay?"

She was crying.

"Come sit down, what's wrong?"

Lucy took a seat on the couch.

"This was in my house this when I got home." She mumbled handing me a letter.

I took her handing it to me that I was allowed to read it. I started scanning the letter.

"Lucy?" Erza said coming down the stairs "are you okay."

"It's terrible Erza." She said going over there to cry.

I'll be back in about a year or so…

"So you're running away with no goodbye, that's the coward's way out Natsu." I hissed crumpling the paper.

"What should I do?" Lucy asked "I chased after them but I was too late, and Michelle still needs help getting around till her ankle is better so I can't just leave her."

"Ignore it." I said "If he's gonna run away like that he doesn't deserve compassion."

"Kanji…" Erza mumbled.

"I have no patience for buffoons." I grumbled "Who runs away from the thing they want to protect?"

Harver's POV

We were in the forest, observing the makeshift grave for Kyouka. Seilah was sitting with me, we had both yet to really talk, I mean I've got no idea how to raise a teenager, though Meredy and Ultear would disagree.

Seilah was a strange girl, she never said much, always talked with sophisticated language and had her head in a book. Her appearance was so odd to, half me, half Kyouka, one bright side was that she could make those horns go away.

"Father?" Seilah finally spoke up still looking at her book.

"What is it?"

"How long are we going to sit here?"

"You're right sitting around all day does nothing for her." I said standing up "Come on let's go."

"Where will we be going?"

"We're gonna meet some friends of mine." I told her.

"I see." She said "Are you sure?"

"What do you mean?"

"I've never really interacted with humans before…" she said.

"You're nervous?" I said "Don't worry, I'm sure they'll like you."

"What will we be doing there?" she asked "Mother's plan never went much farther than escaping Tartarus and finding you."

"We're gonna be aiming for the same thing you both planned for in the first place, I'm gonna kill Zeref."

"I see…that sounds like an interesting story." She closed her book "Perhaps we could write it together."

Diana's POV

"Haaaaaaaa, Harrier what do I do?" I said looking at the bird.

"Since when do you have a pet bird?" Minerva asked.

"Got him a few months ago." I said "A gift from my significant other."

"You got a new girlfriend."

"Yup." I said writing a note "This is the pigeon I use to communicate with her."

"I see I never thought you'd get back on the dating scene." Minerva smiled.

"Did you really think I'd stop seeing people after we broke up?" I sighed.

"I kinda thought you'd go back to being straight I did."

"Yeah." I sighed "Was I that bad?"

"No you weren't the problem, it just wasn't for me."

"That brings us to another thing, you being my ex and all…why are you living in my house again?!" I yelled.

"I have no money for my own apartment and you still had some of my stuff so it seemed to make sense."

"Just…it's fine, but if Meredy comes around, can we keep the whole fact that you're my ex-girlfriend a secret. She'd probably wouldn't be too happy about you living with me if she knew that fact."

"Sure, this is only temporary."

"Hello." Yukino said poking her head in "I brought cookies."

"Yes! Let's begin the exciting Sabertooth girls sleepover!"

Kanji's POV

I wasn't really sure what the issue was now, Gramps was calling everyone to the pile of rubble that used to be the guildhall. Erza was looking forward to getting out of the house, we were still gonna wait a little longer to tell people about the baby but Erza seemed really excited, she already wanted me to get to work on fixing up the side room as the baby's room.

I let the old man have his moment but even I was surprised by what he said, he was disbanding Fairy Tail like when Laxus got sick it was so sudden, so shocking I didn't have a reaction at first. Everyone was angry, screaming and hollering. No excuse, no explanation, I couldn't blame them for being upset…this is peoples' home, their whole life. People like Romeo and Carole might have family to go back to but others don't.

Eventually the crowd left until Erza and I were the only ones left.

"So that's it huh, you're gonna run away from the problem." I said getting progressively louder "You're gonna be a coward just like Natsu?!"

"…"

"What nothing to say, you're a coward old man no better than him…I believed in this guild, I believed in you!" I yelled.

"Kanji calm down." Erza whispered.

"Screw you old man, if you're just gonna run away cause you had a bad time, then drop dead for all I care."

I stormed off and Erza chased after.

"Kanji stop!" she grabbed "You need go back and apologize."

"I have nothing to say to him."

"Kanji…"

"I'm gonna be better than he ever was, better than Laxus, better than my Father, better than my grandpa, and better than the Dreyers who came before him."

"Kanji."

"I'm going home Erza." I said walking away.

And that's just what I did; I went home and went to bed. Erza was still upset with the attitude I had but didn't make a scene. Everything was peaceful…until the nightmares started.

Lauren's POV

"What should we do?" Flare asked.

"Well without the guild there's no point in just sitting around, why don't I take you back to your village." I said.

"Well I don't want to leave you alone."

"I don't wanna sit around an apartment all day either, why don't I just hang out with you?" I told her.

"Huh?"

"Pack your things Flare we're going to Sun Village!"

Kage's POV

"So…is the gruesome twosome sticking together?"

"Of course." Laki said.

We walk passed the girl's dorm.

"Kinana what's wrong?" Laki asked.

"I…don't have anywhere to go."

"Get your stuff you can some with us." Laki smiled.

Carole's POV

"Wait for me Wendy!"

"Huh?"

"Ha...ha…ha…don't…go without me." I panted "I can't spend the rest of my life with mom and dad, wherever you're going just let me come with you."

"I'm just going to Lauren's house, she was gonna take me someplace."

"Then I'm coming." I told her.

Michelle's POV

"Please…you can't…" Lucy begged.

"Big sister…I love you, but right now. I need to take some time for myself." I told her "I'm sorry but I'll come visit, I promise."

"Michelle…"

"This is something I have to do."

I walked down the stairs.

I need to be strong enough to protect big sister, and everyone else.
