The Monster and the Willow

(Alfea, outside)
at Alfea Ash and Bloom has passed the exam in the simulation chamber. thier virtual trip to Domino has given the Trix the opportunity to observe thier powers. Bloom has the Dragon's Flame so does Ash. Little Kiko has to pay the price however, but he manages to save himself, thanks to his laziness. Ash and Bloom are getting ready for the day as they heard fighting
"No, but really, you've gone too far this time! I'm putting a stop to it!" said Stella
"Stella, what happened? What's going on?" Bloom asked as her and Ash see Stella and Flora are glaring at each other.
"Flora's overdoing it, as usual." Stella said to Bloom and Ash
"Overdoing what?" Ash asked confused
"I'm just carrying out a couple of experiments. I've got an exam soon." Flora explained to them "Huh, no kidding. You've been going on about it for about a month. *mockingly* "I'm going to use the power of flowers to thwart the witches' evil spells." Stella said mocking Flora's words
"So? What's wrong with that?" Bloom said even Ash agreed with her
"What's wrong with that? In case you haven't noticed, your room has become a humongous chemistry lab." Stella points at the chemistry stuff in Bloom and Ash's side of thier rooms
"Bloom gave me permission, and what's more, her and Ash said they'd help me study." Flora said to Stella
"We've already passed the simulator test. So We-" as Bloom was cut off "Yeah, some test." Stella said to Bloom
"Hey! Ash and I took on Icy, Darcy, and Stormy! It wasn't easy!" Bloom said to her "Bloom's right you know? those three are more annoying as my days at Kanto from Team Rocket." Ash tells her
"I know, I'm sorry, Ash and Bloom." Stella replied
"Don't worry about it, I know you're all a bit nervous." said Bloom
"Don't worry about it?! You should see my room!" Stella exclaimed as They enter Stella's room.
"Okay, I gave Flora permission to put her flowers by my windowsill because they need a lot of sunlight. But then she spread herself out and put a bunch of Melanoma Vericosa..." as Stella wasn't finish her sentence
"Mimosa Vainatosa!" Flora said
"Whatever! I mean she put them right next to my mirror, Bloom. My mirror!" Stella replied
"Well, it's normal. They feed off reflected light; your mirror is huge so it's perfect." Flora said to her "I say it's amazing Flora, seeing these plants and besides Stella, Flora is right it's normal." Ash tells Stella
"Eugh! And you think this is normal?!" Stella points to the plants wearing her clothes and using her make-up.
"Well, what's wrong?" said Flora
"They're trying on my clothes!" Stella tells her "That's why they're called "vain"-atosa." Flora exclaimed "I don't care what they're called. Make them stop right now. My clothes, oh Bloom, my beautiful clothes." said Stella
"Stella! It's not that bad." Bloom replied
"Oh yes it is. They're wearing my shoes. They're even using my make-up. And look at them! They have no taste whatsoever. They're outfits don't even match." said Stella
"What do you expect? They're just plants. Tecna doesn't complain about it." as Flora walks into Musa and Tecna's room. Musa is studying on her bed.
"Hi, Musa. Have you seen Tecna?" Flora asked Musa "No, haven't seen her since this morning she is in a good mood." Musa replied
"Are you guys having any trouble with my plants?" said Flora
"Huh, what do you mean? We have plants in our room?" Musa said to her "Um, yes. I asked Tecna to keep a few seeds in the dark inside her closet." Flora opens the closet doors. Tecna is inside, wrapped in vines.
"Tecna?!" Flora uses her magic to free Tecna. "It's about time! I was just looking for a pair of trousers when this creepy-crawly thing grabbed me!" said Tecna as Ash, Bloom and Stella enter the room.
"Musa, she was in there all day and you didn't notice a thing!" Stella asked
"I am not in the habit of snooping in other people's closet." Musa tells them "Okay, I'll keep my cool, but I'd really like to know what kind of seed they were." Tecna asked Flora
"They were, umm, Triple S's." said Flora
"Triple S's?" Tecna was confused "Sequaia Seprolifera Swifta". Flora explains the name to her "What?!?!" Tecna shouted as Flora cowers. "I didn't think they would grow so fast! I swear to you, I had no idea!" Flora replied
"Alright Tecna, don't go bananas. Take a deep breath. Now let's remain calm." Tecna said to herself
"Oh Tecna, I'm so sorry." said Flora
"It's all well and good Flora. But I think those killer string beans have got to go." Stella tells her
"You're right. I'll come and get everything in a sec. Then I'll take myself and my stuff over to Black Mud Swamp." said Flora
"Black Mud Swamp?" said both Ash and Bloom
"The rooms at Alfea are not suited for my experiments." Flora tells them "But you can't move to the swamp. We all know the place. It's horrible. We don't want you to go there. Right? Girls?" Bloom replied as Stella, Tecna, and Musa all remain quiet.
"Is that a yes or a no?" Bloom asked as Ash sighed "That's a no...Flora wait!" Ash said as Flora leaves.
"Eugh, I don't believe this! Flora was just trying to prepare for her big exam." said Bloom
"And you had to get mad at her because of one simple clothing." Ash said not very happy
"Ash, Bloom, we all have to study. But when we study, we don't tear up her clothes!" Stella tells them "Nor do we try to strangle her." Tecna replied
"Oh, come on, girls. Don't be so hard on her. Flora's exam is coming up soon, and anyway I- well I promised Flora I was gonna help her. And where I come from, promises are kept alright?" Bloom said to them then Ash is by her side "I'm on your side Bloom." Ash replied made her happy having him by her side Ash and Bloom leaves and slams the door. Musa, Tecna, and Stella gasp and wince.
Flora has a tent and chemistry set up in the swamp. "I still can't believe it. I never thought you would have followed me here." Flora said to the gang
"Yeah, me neither." Stella replied
"The truth is we couldn't let you come here by yourself." Musa said to Flora "They may be a bit grumpy sometimes, but they care about you." said Bloom
"Anyway, I hope this camping trip doesn't last too long." Stella said to Flora
"If you all help me find this magic flower, it won't last long at all. See?" Flora shows them a picture in a book. "This is the Cheerful Gladiolus." Flora said it's name
"That's a pretty flower. But are you sure it can be found around here?" Stella replied
"Absolutely. The ecosystem of this swamp is quite diversified." said Flora
"And what do you need it for exactly?" Musa asked
"The essence of the Cheerful Gladiolus is an antidote for the witches' sadness spell." Flora tells them as Ash finds it outstanding
"Very well then. What are we waiting for? Let's go and get the flower so we can get back." Stella said to the others "It's not as easy as that. It's a very skittish flower; it doesn't let itself be picked." Flora said to them
"Don't tell me we're gonna have to coax it into following us of its own free will! I've had it with walking plants." said Stella as Flora holds up a vial.
"Actually, we just have to ask the flower to extend one of its petals and then I'll use a drop of this mixture, one of my inventions, and check this out." Flora puts a drop of the mixture onto a nearby leaf. The drop slides of the leaf and falls to the ground, sprouting into a copy of the plant.
"That was fast!" said Stella
"I can create an infinite number of artificial petals." Flora explained
"This is great, let's get to work right away. Kiko, you stay right here, okay? The swamp is not a good place for you to walk about." Bloom said to Kiko as he agreed
"Can I stay too? I won't wander off, I promise, cross my heart." Stella tells them "Stella, please, don't start complaining already." Musa tells her
"Who's complaining? I was just asking a simple question." Stella replied but Ash use psychic to carry her
"Hey!" she said as Ash looks at her "sorry Stella, all we need to do is find the plant." Ash tells her as him and The Winx start walking into the swamp.
"Then we'll go right back to Alfea, right?" Stella said to them "Stella!" said both Ash, Bloom, Flora, Musa and Tecna as Stella steps in mud.
"Oh no! Why oh why are swamps so..." Stella didn't finish her sentence "Swampy?" Musa replied "Your comments are uncalled for, Musa." Stella said to her
"So is your outfit. For goodness sake, this is a muddy swamp, not a fashion show." said Musa
"What does that have to do with anything? A Winx is always a Winx and in-" as Stella screams and falls in the mud.
"Stella!" Musa shouted as The others gasp. "She's over there." Ash replied as him, Bloom and Musa walk over. "Stella, are you okay?" said Bloom seeing Stella is covered in mud.
"No, I'm not okay. I'm tired, and dirty, and my feet are killing me from all that walking about. If only we'd find these stupid flowers." Stella was angry as Flora gasps.
"Hush. Quiet!" Flora said to Stella
"No, I refuse to be quiet! You said we'd find them-" Stella didn't finish as Flora puts her hand over Stella's mouth.
"Look, Stella." Flora points to a flower floating on the surface of a body of water. "There on the water." said Flora as they see Two nymphs swim near the flower.
"Wow! They're so beautiful." said Bloom
"Wow those were remarkable and amazing." Ash replied seeing them
"Yes, and they're so tiny." said Musa just then Stella bites Flora's hand. Flora screams. The nymphs get scared.
"Oh! Ground walkers! Let's go." said the nymph
"Oh, no, no, no! Wait! Wait! Please, we don't want to hurt you. We're your friends, and we need your help." said Flora as The nymphs lead the girls through the swamp.
"What an amazing place! I mean look at all the flowers! The lilies, and gladioli. The water nymphs were right to bring us here. I'm sure we'll be able to find what we're looking for." Flora said amazed as Stella gasps.
"What is it, Stella? A cat got your tongue or what?" Flora asked Stella
"Look down there, in the water." Stella points In the water there's a collection of bubbles with nymphs swimming around it. The others come to look.
"It's a miniature city." Bloom said as Ash sees it finds it fascinating "Amazing." he said
"Fascinating. The water nymphs live in air bubbles under the leaf of a water lily." Flora exclaimed as A nymph swims to the surface.
"We don't mean to be rude or anything but we have a bit of a problem. See, we can't really invite you into our house, you're kind of big, we have no room." said the nymph then Another nymph swims to the surface.
"But our queen has expressed a wish to meet you. Follow us" said the second nymph
(Queen's Court)
"We are very happy to have you here. You see, we don't often receive visitors." said Queen nymph
"Thank you for your warm welcome, Your, uh-" then turns her head to Bloom "Think I should say "Your Littleness" instead of "Your Highness"?" said Stella
"Majesty". Try "Your Majesty"." said Bloom
"You must have had a very long journey. You all look a bit tired. May I offer you some refreshments?" said Queen nymph
"Actually, all we really want is to touch the petal of a Cheerful Gladiolus. May we?" Flora said to the queen
"Of course you may. I can tell you have a lot of respect for nature." said the queen
"But it seems almost incredible that nobody's ever met you before." Flora replied
"We keep a low profile. We know where to hide when we need to. And then if so few creatures ever come around here there must be a reason." The queen said to them
"Perhaps you've heard of something called The Great Monster of Black Island?" said the nymph
"What? A monster lives around here?" Bloom said
"A monster here in the swamp that's bizarre to me." Ash replied
"Yes, quite unfortunately. If you look over that way, right behind the fog bank you'll see an island right in the middle of the swamp. And in a deep underwater cave under the island is where that horrible creature lives. It's a gigantic evil being which threatens my people daily." said the Queen
"Why don't you move somewhere else?" Bloom asked
"Because out survival depends on a plant called Xilith and it can only be found on that island. With great patience and more effort we're able to make a strong and transparent type of material." the queen explained
"That's what we use to manufacture the bubbles in which we live. Without the Xilith we'd have to live above water, where predators await." said nymph 1
"But the Black Island monster makes it very difficult to gather Xilith leaves." said Nymph 2
"Every once in a while one of us volunteers to go to the island and try to pick at least one leaf, and this time it was Lusiz's turn." said the queen as the nymph starts to cry.
"Why? What's wrong? What happened to Lusiz?" Bloom asked
"She never came back." the queen told Bloom "That's terrible." Bloom replied then Ash finds it worse seeing one of them gone "It's our destiny. We've been living like this for quite some time." said the queen
"Well, I say, it's high time things changed. You ready, Ash, girls?" Bloom said then Ash smiles "Count me in Bloom." Ash said with a thumb up
"Ready when you are, Bloom." said Flora as The Winx Club transform into their fairy forms.
"Marvelous!" said the queen
(Black Island)
Ash and The Winx fly towards Black Island. Something swims under the surface of the water. "Did you hear something?!" said Stella
"No, I didn't." Tecna replied
"You know, girls, I was just thinking, the Queen said the monster was gigantic but to her we're big too so if we average things out, the monster must be a medium-sized creature, right? It makes sense." Stella replied suddenly A shadow falls over Stella. Tecna and Musa gasp.
"What is it? What?" Stella replied as A large monster bursts out of the water behind Stella. The Winx Club scream. The monster dives back under the water. The Winx hover over the water in a huddle.
"Maybe- uh maybe it's gone?" Musa thinked then The monster resurfaces under them forcing them to separate.
"Hang in!" Ash said as he use his magic and protect around them
"Oh no!" Musa replied
"No!" Bloom shouted as The monster eats Musa and dives under the water again. Something is swimming under the lake coming towards the girls Stella shoots it with magic and a fish floats to the surface.
"Whoopsies." said Stella
"Where did it go?" Flora wondered "Great. Now what?" Stella replied
"There's only one thing to do, we've got to rescue Musa." said Tecna
"Yes, but how? Water is not our element." Bloom said to the girls "We could use the Air Bubble method just like the water nymphs do." Flora said to Bloom
"Sounds like a good idea to me. Are you ready?" Bloom said to them
"You bet." they said then Bloom notice Ash is going to dive "Don't worry Bloom I can breathe underwater." Ash replied as Bloom smiles
"Let's do this!" Ash replied as he dives in the water Stella, Tecna, Bloom, and Flora form air bubbles around themselves.
"And now, for the final touch. Lux Luminous!" said Tecna as The bubbles light up. Stella, Tecna, Flora, and Bloom dive into the water and start to swim.
"Can you see anything?" said Tecna
"Down there, right at the bottom." said Flora
"It went into its cave." Stella replied
"Let's go." said both Ash and Bloom as The monster is sleeping in the shadows at the bottom. Musa lies, unconscious, in its mouth. The monster's mouth starts to close and Ash, Bloom quickly swims inside. Stella, Tecna, and Flora scream. Sparks shoot from the monster's nostrils and Ash, Bloom appears, holding Musa. The monster roars, shaking the caves and Musa wakes up.*
"What's going on?" Musa asked as The caves start to collapse. We've got to get out of here. Now!" said Flora as Ash grabbed Bloom and Flora's hands and place Musa on his shoulders letting Tecna and Stella held his legs
"Hang on girls!" Ash said as him and The girls swim to the surface in full speed. They fly up and land on the island. The island is covered in a red fog.
"Thanks Ash." said Bloom gives him a kiss "No problem Bloom."Ash replied
"That was too close for comfort." said Stella
"Where in the world are we? I've never been here before." said Flora looking at the island
"I don't know, but we're probably on the island." said Bloom as Ash looks at the island "If that's the case then we should definitely keep our eyes open." said Tecna then Stella yawns.
"Why? The monster's gone, right? There's nothing to be afraid of." Stella replied
"The monster isn't gone. He's just retreated back into its cave." Tecna told her "Flora? Do you know what sort of trees these are?" Bloom asked her
"Um, they- they look like Red Willows." as Flora yawns. Ash, Bloom and The Winx start exploring the island. "Funny how my yawning is contagious." Stella replied
"Looks like they are planted in a specific manner." said Tecna as Ash looks at this fog but notice something isn't right
"That's typical of these trees, they grow in a spiral shape around their leader." Flora replied
"These trees have a leader? That's funny." said Stella as Bloom yawns. "It's as if they're positioned in such as way as to take us to their leader." said Bloom
"What a beautiful place, isn't it?" Stella admired the island "It's very quiet. Hear the birds?" Tecna said to Stella sounded tired
"Actually I don't." Stella replied
"Exactly. And don't you think that's strange?" Tecna said to her
"No, it doesn't seem very strange to me." said Stella as Ash walks to Tecna "Tecna try and scan the fog." he said as Tecna nodded
"Oh my, what a wonderful smell." said Flora smells the scent "I detect it. I better analyse its composition." Tecna scans the air and analyses the readings.
"No! It can't be! This substance is sleeping gas! Girls! Girls!" said Tecna as Stella has curled up on the ground and is falling asleep.
"Yes. And these moss covered rocks are just like comfy pillows, so soft." he said
"Stella! Don't breathe!" Ash said
Tecna activates the face mask in her headset. "Don't breathe! No! Wake up! Stella! Tecna tries to shake Stella awake.
"Don't close your eyes." said Tecna
"Oh, yeah, all right. Just set the alarm for 7:00." Stella said to them but Ash and Tecna see Flora and Musa are also falling asleep on the ground.
"Flora! Musa! Oh no! Wake up! Don't let yourself fall asleep! Please!" said Tecna
"Oh, come on Tecna, we're so tired." said Musa
"Yeah. Leave us alone." Flora replied
"Ash? Tecna?" said Bloom
"Bloom!" Ash said as Bloom is walking to Ash and Tecna, tired and unsteady. "I've got to- must stay awake. Oh!" Bloom falls and Ash catches her. "I gotcha Bloom." Ash said to her
"Look over there, Ash, Tecna." Bloom points to the Red Willow which is surrounded by sleeping birds and a sleeping Nymph.
"I- I think it's the leader tree, the one Flora was talking about. Look at the meadow, animals are all sleeping. And over there, under the willow, it must be little Lusiz." she said as Ash lowers Bloom to the ground.
"Bloom!" said Ash and Tecna
"Sorry, Ash, Tecna, I..." as Bloom falls asleep. "Hang on Ash I'll create an Oxygen Bubble." Tecna creates an oxygen bubble around her and Bloom.
"I'll make a little opening." Ash makes an opening in the bubble. "Thanks Ash And let the bad air out." said Tecna as Ash let's The bad air drifts out of the bubble and Bloom wakes up.
"Thanks, Ash, Tecna." said Bllom
"Bloom! Welcome back from the Dreamland." said Tecna as Bloom stands up. "It's the Willow. That deadly odor, it comes from the Willow." said Bloom
"Well then, let's get to work." said Tecna
"Agreed it's time to checkout." Ash, Bloom and Tecna make the bubble bigger so it covers Stella, Musa, and Flora, and the sleeping birds. The girls and the birds wake up.
"Well, I- where am I? What happened?" said Musa
"Turn off the light, the alarm hasn't gone off yet." Stella opens her eyes and sees a bug crawling up her arm. Stella screams. "Get this things off of me! Quick! Somebody do something!" said Stella as Flora and Musa laugh.
"Stella, relax. It's just an innocent little insect." said Musa as Stella runs around trying to get the bug off.
"Eugh! Disgusting!" she said
"Well, it worked. Sounds like everyone's wide awake." said Tecna
"Yes, and not just them. Look! All the animals are waking up." Bloom points at the animals waking up "that's a good thing." Ash replied
"We're back with you, Ash and girls!" said Musa
"Great! Help us make this oxygen bubble a bit bigger." said Tecna They make the oxygen bubble bigger with their magic. Lusiz wakes up.
"You're Lusiz, right?" said Bloom
"Yes, and I know you are. I could never thank you enough for waking me up." said Lusiz thanking Ash, Bloom and the girls
"But how come you know who we are?" said Bloom
"All the while I was sleeping I remained in constant telepathic contact with the world around me, so I knew you were coming." lusiz explained then The island shakes.
"The monster!" said Musa
"No, no, it's not what you think. The monster isn't coming here, he's already here." said Lusiz
"Sorry, we don't follow." said both Ash and Bloom as they blush "Let me explain: as we speak, we're all standing on top of the monster. As I told you, while I was asleep, I kept a mental contact with this place and that's how I found out the truth. The island is actually a giant sleeping and sleepwalking turtle, all thanks to the Red Willow tree." said Lusiz
"And the monster in the cave is nothing more than the turtle's head getting in and out of its shell." said Bloom
"And the rumble we just felt must have been the turtle trying to move about in the swamp." Tecna replied
"Well, if what you say is true, it means we've woken him up at last." said Stella
"No. Unfortunately, your magic dome covers only a little section of his enormous shell. Poor thing's walking in its sleep and it's being doing so for eons." said Lusiz
"The protective barrier will vanish when we leave and then things will get back as they were before." said Ash as The Red Willow growls. "What the- Watch out!" said Tecna as they duck
"Oh my! It's gone crazy!" said Lusiz as The Red Willow destroys the protective barrier. Ash and Bloom flies into the air.
"Why, you bully! I'll turn you into a bonsai. That'll teach you to pick on creatures that are smaller than you." said Bloom
"How about you pick on somebody your size!" both Ash and Bloom attacks the Red Willow with a fire attack.
"Of course! The roots! That's what we've got to strike: underground!" said Bloom
"Then let's turn up the heat!" Ash as him and Bloom attacks the Red Willow's roots with a fire attack and Fire Blast. The tree starts to burn black. Flora finishes the tree off with an attack and it disappears.
"We did it!" said Ash as Bloom and Flora hugged him leaving his face blushing "Yes, we freed the turtle from the spell." said Bloom
"It's another victory for the Winx!" said Stella
"The air is pure again. Do you hear that lovely sound?" said Lusiz
"It's the sound of the birds singing. I can hear it this time." said Stella
"No, my friend. I'm talking about a much louder sound: the sound of nature awakening." Lusiz said to Stella
(Queen's Court)
"How could we ever thank you enough? You brought back our dear Lusiz and freed us from a source of fear and anxiety." said the queen
"Oh, by the way, the monster, or should I say the turtle, uh, what's going to happen to it now?" Tella said to the queen "Look over there. In the swamp." said the queen sees The turtle is swimming around the swamp.
"Hey! It's moving. Granted, it's no speed boat but it's moving." said Stella
"The creature's free now, and so it's following the path that life has laid out." said the nymph "But what are you going to do now? You said the Xilith plant only grows on the turtle's shell." said Bloom
"Before it went away, the turtle let us collect as many leaves as we could. We'll be okay for a while. We've tried growing the Xilith on our soil but it doesn't work unfortunately." said the queen
"Sooner or later we are bound to run out of leaves." said the nymph
"If it's Mother Nature's will, so be it." said the queen
"Hang on, even Mother Nature can use a friendly little boost sometimes." Flora starts looking through her backpack.
"Flora, what are you looking for?" said Tecna
"My rapid growth formula. Remember my magic drops?" Flora finds the vial. "Watch this, Your Majesty." Flora drops some of the potion onto a Xilith leaf and clones of the leaf quickly materialize.
"Marvellous!" said the queen as The nymphs start to cheer.
"Way to go, Flora!" said Stella
"Excellent!" Tecna replied
"Now, are you going to let her use your rooms for her little experiments?" said Bloom even Ash wants to hear them
"Well I- uh I-" Stella is lost of words
"In light of what just happened, I guess we should reconsider the option." said Tecna
"Oh, never mind girls. From now on I promise to make do with the space that I've got." said Flora then Ash walks over
"It's ok Flora you can use my room." Ash said to her "You really mean that Ash." said Flora feels happy "Of course I like to learn more of nature spells." Ash said as Flora blush
"Thank my sweet Ash." she kissed him for it
"gentleman and Ladies, we could never thank you enough for all that you've done for us. But as a token of our deep gratitude, we'd like to offer you this, Flora." said the queen as A Cheerful Gladiolus appears.*l
"A Cheerful Gladiolus!" said Flora
"It let itself be picked, just for you. It knows you will treat it well." said the queen
"Soon as I get home I'll put it in the richest soils." Flora replied "That's great, Flora. Now you're sure to ace your exam as usual." said Bloom
"Thanks, Bloom. And tomorrow it's your turn, isn't it, Stella?" Flora replied as Stella gasps.
"Oh no!" Stella, Musa, Tecna, Flora, Ash and Bloom start to laugh.
as they're ready to go Bloom stops and saw something staring at her at the trees seeing a quadruped, stag-like creature with four pairs of antlers. Its coloration its main body is always black with a blue stripe down its back and a short, bushy tail. Starting at its knees there is a blade-like trim around each leg, which forms a point under each hoof. There is an upside-down, V-shaped marking on its chest in the same color as the trim on its legs. Its head and neck are blue, and there are two large, tufts that extend onto its chest and curve upward. Its first pair of antlers extends onto its head and curves around the underside of its eyes. The eyes are black with X-shaped pupils. There is a short marking on top of its snout and an upward curving horn on each side of its head in place of ears Bloom stares at the creature seems interested in Bloom
"Bloom are you coming." said Ash as he notice Bloom was looking at something
