Chapter 2: Meet the Godfreys

Evelyn Godfrey nee Evans was a powerful witch who is beloved and protected by the Canadian Magical World. The wizards and witches in the country know her as a Healer who had invented many revolutionary cures to many diseases that were thought to be incurable. Thus, she was known to be the National Idol due to her many accomplishments and her beauty. In appearance, Evelyn was tall with generous curves. She has long golden hair and the most electric blue eyes.

Michael Godfrey was known as a visionary. He was a genius in magical technologies. He was known for developing and incorporating muggle technologies into the magical world as well as creating unique magical devices. He is also a businessman. He was the one who took Magical Canada out of the Financial Crisis that they were in a few years back. He created jobs, businesses, and structured the economy. In appearance, Michael is a tall and tan man. He has an undercut hairstyle and clear amber eyes.

Evelyn and her husband have made countless contributions to the magical world. Due to their many accomplishments, they were highly respected. One thing that only a select few knew was that Evelyn was a powerful seer. A few years back, Wizarding Canada was not the majestic world it is now. There was no unity due to so many contentions caused by the previous King who had promoted segregation and discrimination. However, many fought for freedom and peace. One of those people was Henry, Evelyn's grandfather, also known as General Evans. He was a hero and sacrificed his life for freedom. However, not many knew that he was a seer and had received many visions from Lady Magic. His power was then passed to Evelyn who along with her husband continued General Henry's Legacy to Fight for Peace, Freedom, and Unity together with brave magicals. Slowly as years passed by Magical Canada grew and became a place of peace, refuge, and growth.

Godfrey Manor

In the living room of a beautiful manor

"So there will be a wizarding war in Britain and there will be a green-eyed man who will fight for lady magic. Do you have any clue who this wizard is?" Micahel came holding two teacups and giving one of them to Evelyn who was busy writing down her visions. He caressed her hair and sat down in front of her.

"I have no idea. My father was born there but I haven't been there since my dear cousin Lily got married to the child of a man James Potter. I don't know what my beautiful cousin saw in that prank-loving man." She started reminiscing about the times she had visited Britain. However, due to the war in Britain and then in Canada she lost contact with Lily and hasn't gone back to the British Wizarding World. She tried to go back but Petunia told her that Lily had died, when she wanted to go to her funeral she said that there was no funeral and that the magicals, not to quote her saying freak, had already dealt with her death and there was nothing she could do.

Petunia was an awful person and her husband was worse but she was a family and she could not find enough reason to completely despise her. Thus, Evelyn had no reason to go back to Britain.

"Do you want us to go to Britain and find out who this green-eyed wizard is?" asked Michael.

"It will be hard since the young man will still be a little boy," Evelyn said sighing. She did not know what to do. Why exactly was she having these visions? Lady Magic only gave her vision related to the country of Canada. "I think I need time to set an action plan and maybe Lady magic will give me more clues," She said determinedly and went to sit beside her husband on the sofa, they cuddled and fell asleep until the sun rose up in the sky.

After a long day of work, the Godfrey's retired to bed.

Everything was dark and cramped. There was no space to move, inside there was a makeshift bed that occupied most of the space in the tiny room. On the bed, there was a small little boy silently crying. The little boy was wearing clothes that were triple his size and upon closer look, the little boy has bruises all over his body.

The scenery became hazier and the room changed into a kitchen. One can see the back of a little boy who was cooking. He could barely reach the stovetop even though he was standing on a stool. When he was done cooking eggs and bacon he tried to put a piece of bread into his oversized pants but a big beefy man with a purple face saw him and slapped the bread out of his hand and dragged him into a cupboard under the stairs.

Now the boy was a little older and he was being beaten by the same big man. "How dare you do freaky things in front of other people? I am gonna beat the freakiness out of you" He continued to kick the little boy who was curled in a tight ball on the floor "I am so sorry Uncle Vernon! I didn't know" He was sobbing and pleading but the man showed no mercy.

Another vision showed the cupboard under the stairs with several locks. Knocks and pleas were heard from inside. "Aunt Petunia, Please give me food. A piece of bread would be enough. Aunt Petunia, please! Please..." A loud thud was heard from inside and silence followed it. A skinny woman with a horse-like feature approached the cupboard "You deserve it. This will hopefully take away the freakiness out of you." she said with scorn walking away and ignoring the pleadings of the little boy. Inside the cupboard, the beautiful green eyes of the little boy were slowly losing their life as his hope dissipated like a candle on a stormy night.

Suddenly Evelyn woke up with tears and anger on her face. "Petunia!" she shouted with fury on top of her lungs waking up her husband who grabbed his wand under his bead and started looking for the danger but found nothing. "I am going to kill Petunia and her Husband when I see them"
