Chapter 8
With all of the stress I have been under and all of the Elena drama, I decided that I needed some alone time to meditate. I told Damon that I would come to the boarding house later with Bonnie but that I needed to destress and he completely understood. He kissed me goodbye and left. I placed a mat in the backyard, with Bonnie doing the same and we sat facing each other, my palms pressed against hers and just clearing our minds. Twenty minutes in and I already feel lighter. But there is another reason. The meditation method that I am teaching Bonnie tends to make me levitate and because she is touching me, she is levitating too. I lower us back to the ground with my mind and then I see it. In my mind's eye, I see Elena but it isn't Elena. She looks like Elena but is in 1800's clothing. Then the next scene she is in modern day clothing and has Elena tied to a chair, torturing her. Opening my eyes, Bonnie asked, "Did you see that?" I looked at her shocked and say "Yes. I know Grammy said when we were connected, we could become clairvoyant but I didn't know for sure until now. We need to get to the boarding house. Call Elena and tell her to get there as fast as she can." We get up and head into the house to change before heading to the boarding house. Walking into my room to change, I see Damon's leather jacket on the bed with a note saying 'It's going to be cool tonight.' I can't help but smile. I fold the note and put it in my jewelry box and put on the jacket and head out the door. "Is that Damon's?" Bonnie asked. "Yeah. He left it for me. Apparently it's supposed to get cool tonight." I say and she rolls her eyes.
Walking into the boarding house, Damon comes up to me and kisses me and sees that Bonnie and I both seem more stressed than when he left us. "Are you okay, baby?" I shake my head. "We need everyone here now." I tell him and he takes out his phone and so does Enzo and they start calling everyone. Once everyone is in the sitting room, Bonnie starts talking. "Kali and I were meditating today and we saw something. A vision." I pick up. "We both saw the same vision at the same time because we were connected. The vision was of Elena in 1800's clothing but then changed to her being in normal day clothing but she was tied to a chair being tortured by another Elena. Does that make sense to anyone?" I asked. "So, what, you're psychic now?" Elena asked, rolling her eyes. "No. Clairvoyant. Grammy and Grams told us when we were little that once we came into our powers that when we meditated and were connected that we would become clairvoyant but apparently it only works when we are connected." I explain. "Katherine." Stefan says and I look at him confused. "No. Seriously?" Damon says. "Who's Katherine?" I asked. "Elena's doppelganger." Bonnie explains to me. I had learned about doppelgangers when I was younger but I've never encountered one. "Elena, you are on lockdown until we find her." Stefan says. "Well, she can have one of the guest rooms. I will stay at Bonnie's with Kali." Damon says. I lean into him and say "You don't have to. I trust you." He looks at me and says "Then stay here with me. Just while she's here." he says and I nod my head. Now it's just a waiting game until we figure out how to get Katherine to show her face.
