"I guess that's ok," Simba says reluctantly.

"Thanks dad," Kion replies as he runs out of the cave and heads toward Fuli, who is sitting waiting for Kion. "My dad says it's ok, as long as we stay near Pride Rock." Fuli turns with a smirk on her face.

"Race you to the watering hole," she says.

"Oh you're on."

They both take off down Pride Rock, with Kion in the lead only due to the fact he knew the fastest way down he had the millions of times he raced his sister down the slope to thank. But once Fuli hit the ground leading away from Pride Rock, she easily closed the distance between her and Kion, easily beating him to the watering hole.

"What took you so long?" Teased Fuli while licking her fur to clean the dust off.

Kion shook his head with a smile and hopped up on the large flat rock that Fuli was on. He kept a good amount of space between her and himself. He knows Fuli generally likes her personal space.

"You ever wonder what's out there? Beyond the Pride Lands? Beyond the Outlands and the Backlands? Even beyond the stars?" Ask Kion.

Fuli looks at Kion, and then up to the stars. Really taking in Kion's words.

"I wanna find out one day, I wanna journey outside of the Pride Lands, meet new animals, go on new adventures. There's so much I haven't seen, and I want to see it. But I have a responsibility here, to the Pride Lands, to the lion guard, and to my family. I'm kinda worried that I might never see what's out there." Fuli just sat and listened to the words her lion cub friend had to say. She thought about it and realized she wanted to as well. Maybe she could find her mother, if she was still out there. Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, hunt and try different kinds of animals.

"You want to hear a song? I've been practicing, and I came up with it myself, and honestly, I don't feel comfortable asking anyone else to listen" Kion asked timidly. Fuli smiles and nods. She closes her eyes and listens to Kion's voice.

"When life leaves you high and dry

I'll be at your door tonight if you need help, if you need help

I'll shut down the Pride Land lights,

I'll lie, cheat, I'll beg and bribe to make you well, to make you well

When enemies are at your door I'll carry you away from war

If you need help, if you need help

Your hope dangling by a string I'll share in your suffering to make you well, to make you well

Give me reasons to believe,

That you would do the same for me

And I would do it for you, for you

Baby I'm not moving on

I love you long after you're gone

For you, for you

You would never sleep alone

I love you long after you're gone

And long after you're gone, gone, gone."

Fuli was shocked by Kion's voice, she's never heard Kion sing before. The song he sang was so beautiful, she didn't know Kion was so musical gifted. "Kion, that was perfect! Why don't you sing more?"

Kion shrugged and smiled. "I don't know, I only sing here and there."

"Well I think you should sing more often." Fuli replied with a smile. "Mind if I join?" Kion just simply smiled and nodded.

"Give me reasons to believe,

That you would do the same for me

And I would do it for you, for you

Baby I'm not moving on

I love you long after you're gone

For you, for you

You would never sleep alone

I love you long after you're gone

And long after you're gone, gone, gone."

When they are singing together, their Lion Guard marks begin to flash in sync with the rhythm of the song and their hearts begin to beat in sync. Neither notice as they are lost in each other's lyrics. The flashing slowly dims and fades as if nothing happened.

"You have a beautiful voice Fuli, although you already knew that. We should probably get some sleep, we have patrol tomorrow." Fuli smiles at her friend's compliment, almost blushing, she loved any praise her leader gave her.

"Yea, you're right Kion. We probably should get some sleep."

"Sleep well Fuli."

"You too, and thanks for keeping me company, even though you didn't have too." Kion nods his head and smiles. The two drift off from reality, and enjoy a night in each other's company.

An Egyptian Cobra slithers around the outlands, in search of food, but with very little luck. "Ugh, thissss is usssssless" he complains. "If only I wassss In control of the Pride Landssss, I could eat whatever I want, when whenever I want"

The winds began to pick up, carrying an unfamiliar voice, a voice that seemed to share the snake's own ideas and goals.

"So, you want the Pride Lands?" an ominous voice booms, but only the snake can hear this voice. "I think we can help each other."
