Chapter 9
Damon takes me back to Bonnie's to pack a few days worth of clothes and we head back to the boarding house. Damon and I are really starting to get close and I can't say I hate it. He's been affectionate and actually seems like he cares about me. We walk into the boarding house and see Elena and Stefan sitting on one of the couches. Damon walks over and pours a glass of bourbon and asks if I wanted one. I shake my head no and head upstairs to put my things in his room. Walking down the stairs, I stop when I hear Elena and Damon talking. "Does she really have to be here? Why can't I stay in your room?" she asked almost whining. "No she doesn't have to be here but I want her here and you can't stay in my room because she is. She's my girlfriend and I lo-care about her." he tells Elena. "You care about her huh? So if I told you I wanted you back, you wouldn't come back to me?" she asked. He looked her square in the eye and smirked and said "Nope and one more bad thing I hear come from you about her, I will lock you in one of the cells downstairs and lead Katherine to you myself." When he tells her this, her eyes go wide and she sits down and doesn't say anything else.
I walk the rest of the way into the room and walk over to Damon. Kissing his lips right in front of her, I whisper to him, "It's not too late to put her in that cell." He smirks "You heard that?" I let him pull me into his arms and said "Every word. But Damon?" He looks at me and I smile "I lo-care about you too." His eyes go wide and he pulls me out of the parlor and to the study. "You heard that?" I laugh. "Yes. Damon, I don't know what it is about you but I trust you. I know what you said about feeling that pull. I feel it too. It's like nothing feels right if you aren't there." That was the only way I knew to explain it. "I feel the same way." he tells me. "Good." I say and we walk back into the parlor to see Stefan sitting there talking to Elena. "You can keep an eye on her tonight right?" Damon asked. "Yeah, why?" Stefan asked. "Because I need to spend some time with my girlfriend." He smirks and pulls me up the stairs.
Once we are in Damon's room, he picks me up and carries me to the bed. Laying me down, he kisses me and we start to get a little heated and before we know it, we are under the covers and he is hovering over me. "Love me Damon." I whisper and don't have to say it twice before he slowly enters me and makes love to me passionately. After we both reach our releases, we snuggle farther under the covers, my head on his chest and his arms tightly around me and I hear him whisper, "I think I love you Kali." I smile and kiss his chest before looking at him and saying "I think I love you too Damon."
