(So basically, The events of how Scar returns are the same same, except Ushari bites Kion after he uses the roar to bring back scar. They don't go to the Tree of life yet because Rafiki didn't know the venom was from Ushari's bite and would have the effect it will on Kion, and they now have to deal with Scar. Enough retconning, back to the story.)
Kion looks at his reflection in the small pool of water in the lair. The scar, Kion's newest feature, a feature that he hated. He wishes he could just rub it off, so no one had to see it. He felt like the scar would make the animals around him uncomfortable, make them question if he was fit to stay in the Pride Lands. He had patrol soon and needed to clear his mind so he could lead. He heard the team outside of the lair, and tried to get in the right headspace. "It's time to go, I guess," he tells himself. All of a sudden, he feels a sharp pain in his scar. He winces in pain and grabs his scar, but luckily the pain was short lived. He growls a bit, before taking a deep breath and trying to relax. The guard entered the lair, with optimistic attitudes and high hopes for an easy and peaceful day.
"Hey Kion," says Fuli.
"Morning Kion," says Beshte.
"Hello Kion," chirps Ono.
"Hi Kion...Zuka Zama," yells Bungs as runs in the lair and jumps in the water in the middle of the lair, getting Kion wet.
"Bunga!" Kion snarls. The guard stops and looks at Kion in a confusion, they've never seen Kion so mad at something so little. Kion realizes what he's doing, and calms down. "I'm sorry Bunga, I don't know what happened, I lost control."
" Hakuna Matata Kion, it's all good," says Bunga.
"Good, now anyway, we have patrol," Kion says firmly.
"Affirmative," says Ono.
"You're the boss,"says Bunga.
"Works for me," responds Beshte. They all leave the lair, but Fuli stays. She can't seem to pinpoint the problem, but she knows something is up.
"Kion, are you ok?" Ask Fuli.
"I'm fine Fuli, let's go," Kion replies coldly. He leaves the lair, without even a smile. She's unconvinced but follows.
After a day of fighting jackals and hyenas, the guard decided to return and hang out at the lair. Bunga and Beshte are playing in the water with a fruit. Ono is perched on a rock, cleaning his feathers. Fuli, and Kion are relaxing on some rocks.
"Coming your way Big B," yells Bunga, throwing a fruit to Beshte.
"Right back at you Little B," he yells, sending back the fruit. Bunga tried to kick the fruit back to Beshte, but the fruit skewed off his foot , hitting Kion in the face. Kion was already extremely irritated for a reason no one knew. He had his eyes closed, focusing on relaxing before the fruit clocked him. When he opened his eyes, Fuli could've sworn she saw his eyes flicker red for a split second.
"That's it," Kion snaps. "All you do is yell and jump around all day," Kion hissed. "You're the most annoying animal in the Pride Lands, and I can't believe I asked you to be on the lion guard. You're absolutely useless". The smile on everyone's face disappears, as nobody can believe what they just heard from their leader.
"I know you don't mean that," says Bunga, forcing a smile.
" I meant every..single..word," he growled.
"Kion!"
Kion was about to snap again before he turned and saw Fuli. Hearing her voice snaps Kion out of his rage. He catches his breath as he calms down. He looks at his friends who all look at him with fear in their eyes. The feeling of realization and regret wash over him as he realizes what he just said. He quickly turns and leaves the lair.
"Kion wait!" Yells Fuli, but Kion keeps running. "We have to see what's up with Kion, come guys," yells Fuli. Everyone nods and runs after, but when they run out of the lair, he is nowhere to be seen.
"I don't see where he went," yells Ono from above.
"I know where he went," says Fuli.
When the lion guard shows up to the watering hole near Pride Rock. He looked out over the water in self reflection. Why did he say that? Bunga was his best friend, even if he was sometimes, but everyone could annoying at points.
He looked down at his reflection, and the only thing he could see was his scar. The scar covered his left eye, two marks on top, one on the bottom. Looking at the scar only angers him, he swipes at his reflection in the water, but as the ripples die down, his reflection returns and once again, and there is the scar.
The lion guard watches from behind the bushes, wondering how to help their leader, and their friend. They can see that he is clearly upset.
"I'm not watch this anymore," says Fuli, leaving the guard I'm the bushes. She walks toward Kion who hears her coming.
"Stop Fuli, I don't want to hurt you too," he said.
"I trust you Kion."
"How? I don't even trust myself right now." Fuli walks up next to Kion and puts her paw on his shoulder, like she did that one night at the watering hole before, and tried to comfort him once again.
"I'm here for you Kion, if you want we can talk about what's bothering you."
"Thanks Fuli, I don't know what'd I do without you."
"Me neither," she teases. She gets a laugh and a smile out of Kion, he appears to be at ease.
"I should apologize to Bunga, I didn't mean what I said."
"I think he already knows that," Fuli says, looking into the bush and nodding. The rest of the guard nods from the bush, and decides to leave the two alone.
"Everything ok now?" She asked.
"Yea it's just...weird things have been happening since I got this scar."
"Well, everything happens for a reason right?"
"Yea I guess, but then I wonder what's next."
"It's late, we should probably get some sleep," the cheetah recommend.
"You're probably right, I'll see you tomorrow, Fuli."
—
"Don't worry Kion. I have plans, big plans for you, your lion guard, and your precious Pride Lands," Scar cackled.
"You know what Kion is doing?" Ushari asked.
"Ever since you gave him that scar, I've been able to feel his thoughts and emotions but only when your venom causes him to lose control. But it's difficult when he's with his friend Fuli, she seems to calm him down and help him regain control of his anger and emotions." Scar states.
"And I assssssume you have a plan."
"Of course I do, just wait and see. But for now, we must focus on taking over parts of the Pride Land. If we can take enough of the Pride Land, we might be able to
scare away the other herds of animals. If they leave, there's no way the lions and the lion guard can stop us from marching to Pride Rock."
"And I assume you have a plan for that as well?" Ask Janja.
"You are smart...for a hyena, but first, we need to strengthen our forces. We must recruit the jackals, they should join us no problem. I have a plan to get the crocodiles with us, and we must also do our best to weaken the lion guard. Yes it is a lot to do, but it will all be worth it when we have Simba bowing to us!"
