Michelle's POV

"This whole Purification Ritual is stupid." I said as we rode out of the base "Killing a town won't summon Zeref."

"They think he shows up in places where there is a lot of death." Gray explained.

"Their logic isn't poor." Laki said "but it is dumb."

"Well it's simple let's just crush them." Natsu said.

"It's not that easy." Erza said form the other side of the phone "They are quite large. We needed to wait for them to all gather in one place. That day is today."

"Well that makes things way easier!" Natsu yelled.

"If their all in one place." I smiled.

"We can crush them in one shot." Kage added.

"Let's wreck that place together." Natsu laughed.

"Yeah." Lucy and I nodded.

"Let's do our best too." Laki told Kage.

"It's been a long time." Natsu cheered "I'm ready to fight together again.

"YEAH! WE'RE ALL FIRED UP!"

Once we slid into town the members of Avatar were already marching towards the front gate.

"You're not gonna get passed me!" Natsu yelled throwing a guy back.

"Come on!"

"HYA!" I stepped forward and sliced through a group of men "Weak…"

"Wood Make: Violent Approach!" Laki summoned a huge spiked ball that rolled forward and barrel over the enemy.

"YEAH!" Natsu seemed to be right at home punching people in the face.

"Shadow Boxing!"

Kage snapped his fingers and the shadows of the enemy army rose up and started punching them.

"Run all you want; you can't escape your own shadow." Kage laughed.

"RAH!" Lucy had changed into a Taurus themed outfit, and her whip was even stronger.

"Huh…?"

"Lucy, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Was it supposed to rain today?" she said looking up.

A mass of pitch-black clouds had gathered, rumbles of thunder softly rippling in the distance.

"Ha?" Happy shivered "The hairs on the back of my neck just stood up."

*KRACK!*

The sky tore open and a huge bolt of bright yellow lightning crashed down.

"No way!" Lucy smiled "It can't be…"

*YAWN!* "Man all that juice and I'm not even drowsy."

Most of the enemy had been blow away by the force of the thunder and a huge crater was in the center of the field. In the crater was a man, shaggy unkempt blonde hair, dirty Five O'clock shadow, thick bags under his eyes. He was wearing a heavy fur coat and the yellow fur sparked with static.

"K-Kanji?!" Lucy stuttered.

"Huh?" the man looked over at us half asleep "…"

He stumbled out of the crater and started grabbing Lucy's face.

"Lucy…it really is you." He mumbled "Man…"

Kanji turned around "Thunder Cracker!"

Another series of huge bolts crashed down and tore through the crowd.

"Hey is Erza here?" he slurred "Let's keep it a secret that I'm here."

"Are you two fighting?"

"…" Kanji turned around and zapped a few men "Nah, not really at least."

"We should split up a bit and take these guys down." I said.

"Good idea." Lucy smiled "Their sending the big guns forward so be careful."

I marched through the crowd, slashing through various enemy soldiers, summoning out plants to attack with me as I threw my shield, it wasn't very difficult.

"Got'cha."

I felt someone tug on my hair and I looked over at saw the little clown man from before.

"I believe you are called Abel." I said "Aren't you a little old to play with dollies?"

"I've got your hair." He smiled attaching it to the doll "You're my puppet now."

"What was that?"

Kanji's POV

"HAA!" I held my hands up and brought down a wave of lightning.

Nothing…no amount of magic is making me tired, I feel sleepy but not tired.

"MICHELLE!" Lucy yelled.

I looked over and saw Michelle was contorted in an awful position, her left arm was twisted behind her back, and her neck was bent at a right angle.

"Holy crap." I gasped.

"No…" Lucy cried "She can't be…"

"Damn." Michelle hissed "That kinda hurt."

Her free arm reached over and yanked her other arm back into its socket, she then used both hands to snap her neck pack into position.

"What the hell are you?!" the man with the doll asked.

"Who me, I'm just a girl who used to be a doll, my joints are a little looser than most humans, dismemberment would be bad but dislocations are easy for me to fix."

"Now where were we? oh right."

Michelle threw her shield forward "Rose Grinder!"

The shield flew forward and took the man out of the fight.

"Eh?" I peeked behind me as a grunt tried to charge me.

"Boomerang Blade!"

A bent chunk of metal flew by my head and took the grunt out.

"You're late Scruff."

"Apologies Sir!" he tipped his hat "The trip was longer than I planned."

"It's fine, take care of business."

"Roger!" he said transforming and flying off.

"GAH!" Lucy hissed in pain.

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked.

"My…stomach…"

"My magic is a virus, that eats at you from the inside."

The girl causing the problem was young, dazzling pink hair and sparkly eyes.

"Oh and it makes you wanna rip out your large intestine!" she said "To bad for you there's no toilet around."

"What a fricken joke." I said teleporting in front of her and glaring "Your magic is glorified food poisoning, what the hell was Jellal afraid of with you lot?"

"Hmm…" Lucy stood up "I feel better."

"Anomaly Dispel."

"You're magic won't work against mine." Wendy smiled.

"Oh it's Miss Wendy." Scruff said flying by "Did you get taller."

"Not the time for chit-chat!" Carole said "Wax-Make: Guitar Axe!"

Carole was spinning in place, knocking people about.

"AHHH! It burns!"

"Please do not attempt to manhandle me." Kinana said grapping the man by the face.

Her arms were bright purple and dripping with a strange goo.

"I've learned to harness my poisonous past." She said dropping the man "Don't worry that will only make you pass out for a bit."

"Behind you!" a strange white-haired girl yelled.

"Hmm?" I looked over my shoulder "I'm not letting you hurt her…"

"This one's for my tummy." Lucy smiled.

"Demolition Fist!"

"Lucy Punch!"

I drilled the strange girl with a powerful punch.

Lucy, she's okay.

"Uhh…" I stumbled when my head felt heavy and my mind fuzzy "What the…"

"Kanji!"

Erza's POV

Avatar had been dealt with, their ambition crushed and halted.

"Umm Erza…" Lucy walked up to me "Can you give me a hand here?"

My husband was passed out on her back.

When did he…never mind.

"He just passed out all the sudden." Lucy explained "I'm not sure what happened."

I just smiled "No he didn't pass out, he fell asleep."

"Hmm?"

"I'm sure you noticed his appearance isn't very well kept." I said "Since I last saw you Kanji has been struggling to sleep, for almost nine months.

"Nine months." Lucy said.

"No matter what we tried, no medicine or magic could get him to sleep. He'd doze off for thirsty seconds at best, only to wake up screaming."

"That's awful."

"But it's gone now…" I said taking him "I'm very happy, I had a feeling you'd be the key."

"Me?" she asked.

"Before the nightmare started…he was always mumbling your name in his sleep. Something about it being his fault that you suffered?"

Lucy just looked off "…I see."

"Well I should get my hubby home." I smiled "I need to punish him."

"Uhh…TMI." Lucy gulped.

"Oh not like that." I said "I left him to watch something at our house and he came out here…he's in big trouble. We'll see you in Magnolia soon"
