Chapter 8: The Warden Falls Pt. 1

In the middle of the Ghost Zone, a large maximum security prison floated tall, striking fear into all who approached and were kept within its walls. Standing by the gates and seen floating all around were green ghosts wearing police uniforms and gear. The two at the gate saw a portal open up, they held their weapons up ready to kill whoever came through.

"Hold your fire!" A voice said, causing the guards to turn around, standing on top of the gate was a ghost with the appearance of being a knight. His outfit consists of a black full-body armor with gray shoulder guards, with a flaming purple cape and hood, grey flaming gauntlets and boots. He wears a whit skull as his buckle and by his side was a green sword that gave off a frightening aura. "A guest is arriving," he said as he jumps down in front of them, "and he's brought us a gift."

Coming through the portal was Clockwork and Naruto, who was wearing a black and white prison uniform, plasma cuffs restrained his hands and a metallic collar around his neck. Clockwork looked at Knight with a frown as he turned old. "Hello Fright Knight." He said as he gestured to Naruto. "I found this human hiding in the far sector of the Ghost Zone. And as Walker's law demands, the human was to be brought here."

"I'm surprised at you, Clockwork." Fright Knight said as he looked at Naruto, who glared intensely at him. "Given your history and your affiliation with humans, I would have thought you would have tried to hide any human you come across." He then looked over at toddler Clockwork. "Especially since you fought so hard to keep that Halfa from ending up in our care."

"Her name is Dani." Clockwork said, his calm expression now broken and replaced by an angry and menacing glare. "You'd do well to remember that and show respect for my apprentice in my presence. I may not be part of the council anymore, but I can still show you why the Watchers feared and respected my power."

"...Very well." Said the black knight, not wanting to anger the master of time anymore. "Warden Walker is not here, so I will be taking the boy myself and you may take your leave."

Clockwork did not respond as he turned around and made a portal. Fright Knight never saw the smirk on his face as he passed through. And Naruto was smirking inside his mind as Clockwork's portal closed itself up. 'Well so far so good.'

-Flashback Start-

"…Excuse me?"

Clockwork then began to chuckle. "And they say I'm not one for humor." Naruto narrowed his eyes at him. "Relax Naruto, this is a part of your mission, an A-rank one."

"A?" Naruto said with widened eyes; he hadn't gotten a mission like that since the Wave mission "What exactly am I supposed to do and are the cuffs really necessary?"

"Yes it has to look like I've arrested you." Clockwork said. "You're going to be infiltrating the prison of Walker, the Warden of the Ghost Zone. Your mission is a four-part plan: First, create a distraction within the prison that will allow you to go deeper into the prison and free all the prisoners there. Two, find and rescue members of the Ghost Zone council. The prison may look like it has no lower levels, but somewhere is a door that leads to a hidden part of it, this is probably where they are keeping them. Three, Walker has acquired some powerful artifacts that do not belong in the hands of a power hungry monster like him; so you need to liberate them from him. Finally, once your job is done, I want you to kill Walker and his guard dogs, Fright Knight and Nocturn, and you must do all of this while pretending to be a prisoner there."

"Can you explain something to me?" Naruto asked as he was trying to process everything. "Why are you even asking for this mission and if these ghosts are prisoners? Why do I need to free them, isn't that where they belong?"

"Not all of them are bad, Naruto." Clockwork said as he turned away. "Some do cause trouble, but not enough to be eternally confined in that Hell within Hell. Besides Walker shouldn't even be ruling the Ghost Zone. After the death of Danny Phantom -Danielle's brother- Walker killed the Overseers, overthrown the council, and took over the Ghost Zone. The council members are only there because he is afraid they will band together and stand against him. The only reason he leaves me be is because he hopes to one day use my power to take over all of time, but that will never happen as long as I live."

"Danny Phantom… I read about him in one of Aku's books." Naruto said with a raised eyebrow. "He was half human and half ghost, he was one of the heroes that died a long time ago, he was also the protector of the Ghost Zone. How did he die anyway?"

"The book didn't tell how or any more than that?" Clockwork asked, Naruto shook his head. 'Figures Aku wouldn't tell him anything about the past'. Clockwork thought as he turned away 'He of all people should know how this will end when he learns of the past.' Clockwork turned back to Naruto. "Danny Phantom was also my apprentice. I won't tell you any more than that since it is not my place, but you will learn in time. But for now I will tell you what and who you are looking for as well as the ghost who will aid you, one you already know…"

-Flashback End-

"I see we have a new guest." Naruto turned to see a shadow rising up beside Fright Knight.

It took the form of a ghost standing seven feet high. His body looks like the night sky, bright black with shining dots in it like stars. His head was oval shaped with a point at the bottom with his small goatee and two curved purple goat-like horns on the side of his head. He has a slightly curved hairline scar along the side of his face, going through his right red eye. His fangs showing as he smirked; and for legs, he has tentacles, similar to an octopus.

"Indeed, Nocturn." Said the Fright Knight. "Clockwork brought him to us, but I have a feeling it's not for the reason he gave."

"Well if that's true," Nocturn leaned down being face to face with the glaring Uzumaki, "then I will get it out of you during our session tonight."

"Ok one: personal space..." Naruto pushed Nocturn's head back with his hand. "Two: your breath is kicking, I recommend downing a whole bottle of mouthwash and breath mints. And three, I don't swing that way. So why don't you and the Halloween reject have a session of your own."

Nocturn smacked his hand out of his face and stood up straight with a smirk on his face. "Such spirit with this one. We shall see how long that lasts." Nocturn snapped his fingers and two fat green ghosts appeared, with no eyes, sewed eyelids, and with fang-like teeth. "Take him to the cafeteria, let him have his meal while he can stomach it." The two ghosts lifted Naruto up by his arms and took over the gate into the prison. "That human reminds me of the Phantom boy."

"I know," Fright Knight turned and walked toward the gate, "but that won't be a good thing when Walker gets back; it will be the end of him."

-In the Cafeteria-

The eyeless ghosts shoved Naruto through the doors before closing them. He looked around and saw so many ghosts sitting at the tables eating lunch. 'Clockwork wasn't kidding when he said the entire Ghost Zone was practically here.' Naruto thought as he walked into the lunch line and got a tray before noticing all eyes were on him. 'Yesh, instead of a prison suit, I should have a shirt with multiple bullseyes on it.' Naruto also saw they all had collars on their necks with red lights. 'Those collars must be what's blocking their powers.'

Naruto almost gagged as he saw the food with everything green like most of them. He thinks there was an eye in the soup and it's kept following him no matter where he turned his head.

"Hello there." Naruto heard someone say, looking over the counter and saw one of the lunch ladies was a girl his age with black hair in small pigtails, red eyes, and blue skin. She wore a pink hat, the usual prison uniform; and like the cafeteria staff, she wore a white apron and gloves. "You must be the human boy everyone is talking about." She said smiling, to which Naruto nodded. That was plainly obvious but word really traveled fast. "My name is Box Lunch, here to provide your nutritional needs during your stay." She began to pour some of what he guessed to be green mash potatoes in his tray. "And just so you know, every serving has a great big helping…" Naruto looked at the mashed potatoes and saw it was shaped like a heart. He looked back at her, seeing she was looking at him with half livid eyes and fluttering her eyelashes. "of love~"

Naruto watched her go off into the kitchen, waving as she disappeared through the door. He shivered a little bit as when he went to find a table, he then felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see a ghost similar to Box Lunch. He had blue skin, red eyes, was quite muscular, and besides the uniform he wore a blue beanie. "Saw you putting the moves on my daughter, punk." He said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Daughter?" Naruto repeated, he then realized he was talking about Box Lunch ."Oh no, I think there's been a big mistake."

"You bet there is." Said the blue ghost. "I'm the Box Ghost, and it's time for you to beware." Box Ghost pulled his fist back ready to punch him, until someone grabbed it.

"Easy there, delivery boy." Naruto recognized a familiar voice, he looked to see it was Skulker, back in his battle suit with the prison uniform on. "I know this boy." The bounty hunter let his hand go off of Box Ghost's shoulder, he walked over to Naruto and glared. "But why he's here is what I would like to know."

Naruto smirked. "Actually I need your help, as well as all the other ghosts you know that have ties with a certain Phantom."

The eyes of both Skulker and Box Ghost widened at hearing the mention of their former enemy. "Well you're in luck." Skulker said, smirking as he walks past him. "We were just about to have lunch with them." Box Ghost followed behind him, but not before giving Naruto the 'I'm watching you' sign and mouthing 'Beware!', making Naruto sweatdrop.

Skulker led them to a large circular table with a bunch of ghosts sitting at it. They seemed surprised to see him coming over with Naruto. "I believe these are the people you were looking for, boy." Skulker said as they all sat down. "Let me introduce them, Penelope Spectra…"

"Just Spectra will do." A woman with red hair and green eyes said, she took a sniff of air and gave an odd look of hunger at Naruto; one that really crept him out. "Mmm~ I smell a lot of misery inside of you, if it wasn't for this damn collar, I would love to fee—I mean council you on your problems." She gave a fake smile and everyone gave her a narrowed eyed look. "What?"

"Johnny 13, Kitty…"

"Sup loser." Said a male ghost. He had long blond hair in a ponytail, green eyes, and his skin a little pale. He was holding hands with a female ghost with short green hair and red eyes, purple lipstick, and a necklace with a green gem in it.

"Don't mind him." Kitty said, smiling as she adjusted her hold on Johnny's hand. "He's had it a little worse in here than most here."

"And Desiree."

"I wish we could have met under different circumstances." Smiled a long black haired, green skinned female ghost as she looked at him with her red eyes.

"So what's the deal, Skulker?" Johnny said as she pointed at Naruto. "Why did you bring the human over here and why did you spare him from Box's pounding? That would have been a good show."

"But that would have ended badly for Box Ghost." Skulker earned a confused look from everyone, especially Box Ghost, before glancing over at Naruto. "This is no ordinary human. As a matter of fact ,I don't know if he is human or not. He's the one I told you about, the shapeshifter with that lobster girl that stops me from kidnaping Aku's daughter."

"And you're not beating him up because..." Johnny dragged out.

"Because I have the feeling he is here for a reason." Skulker then looked at Naruto. "Isn't that the reason you wanted to see this particular group?"

"Yes, I was sent here on a mission by Clockwork" Naruto soon smirked. "How would you all like to help me bring this place down?" Naruto raised an eyebrow when he saw everyone shushing him. "What?"

"Are you nuts, look around?" Kitty said above a whisper. Naruto did, all he saw were the ghosts eating, the guards and floating sandbags moving around. "Even if you are serious, don't say something like that out loud; the guards are everywhere."

Naruto smirks before taking a deep breath. "WE'RE PLANNING A JAILBREAK AND WALKER IS AN ASSHOLE!" Everyone at the table began to panic and almost made a run for it, they were sure the guards were about to do… nothing. Everyone wasn't even looking at them. Naruto then began to laugh. "Man you should have seen your faces! Hahah!" They all glared at him and looked like they were about to kill him. "Sorry, sorry. What I meant to say was, I set up a sound barrier over us the moment I sat down. For all anyone is concerned we are just talking about weather or whatever gossip goes on around here. Anyway are you guys gonna help me or not?"

"Even if we said yes..." Skulker pointed to the collar on his neck. "We can't do anything with these collars restraining our powers. Unless you can get them off without them blowing up our head, we can't help you."

Naruto became serious. "I have a plan to disable them, but once I do I need you all to help every ghost in here to get out. I also need you all to tell me everything you know about where the Ghost Zone council is being held and where Walker keeps his trophies and powerful items."

"Isn't much to tell." Skulker then shrugged. "The first time I came here after Phantom's death, I saw them drag away Frostbite and Pandora, but no one has seen them since; they may even be dead for all I know. All items Walker has acquired have been hidden as well, all except the Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire. Walker keeps those where he can get to them, in his office; the most guarded place in the prison."

"Thanks Skulker, you told me everything I need to know." Naruto said as he leaned back in his chair with Skulker raising an eyebrow at him. "Walker is the power mad and controlling type, he would want to make the council submit to him before killing them. The fact that no bodies have been dragged back means they are still alive. Aside from the ring and crown, Walker must have the rest of the artifacts hidden in a secret area, somewhere only he would know about. my guess is they are in a vault or something near where the council members are. I find them, I can find the artifacts."

Everyone looked at him surprised he had this whole thing planned out.

"I actually believe you can pull this off." Desiree said before sighing. "But it doesn't matter, tonight is the monthly Mind Purge. Nocturn will knock us out with his power and invade our minds while we sleep; that's how he grows stronger, how he and Walker know everything about what goes on in here. All humans that come here get the treatment first, he will go into your mind and give you a pleasant dream, that's what it'll seem like until he finds what he wants and turns them into nightmares. Once he finds out your plan, Walker will punish us all and then kill you."

"Thanks for the heads up, Desiree-chan" Naruto said with a smile, with Desiree blushing a bit. "If it's a battle of the mind, then I can't really lose."

They all then heard the bell ringing throughout the cafeteria. "It's time to go to the courtyard." Skulker said as he looked over at Naruto and smiled. "If you pull this off, you will have my full support and I will be in your debt; but once it's paid, I will be hunting you until your head is on my wall."

"I'll be sure to remember that." Naruto smirked before looking at everyone else. "I can guess you all feel the same; so for now, I'd just like to talk to you all, to lower the pressure I guess." As everyone got up, Naruto stopped and remembered about the ghosts Clockwork said would help him. "Say Desiree-chan, was there another girl with your group? I believe Clockwork said her name was Ember McLain."

Desiree stopped and instantly looked like she was about to cry, but also looked angry as she balled up her fist. "Walker has caused much pain to us all." She spoke barely that above of a whisper. "But if I could grant wishes for myself, I'd wish my friend Ember didn't have to experience the most pain one could ever experience." Naruto was about to ask what happened to her, but she wiped the tears from her eyes and grabbed his hand. "Come with me."

-In the Courtyard-

As Desiree led Naruto through the courtyard, he saw a lot of ghosts were doing their own thing. Skulker and the others were talking, a beefy yet nerdy looking ghost was lifting weights, and sitting by themselves were two ghosts; one looked like a child covered in a bedsheet and the other looked like a bedsheet with a black top hat.

Desiree stopped and Naruto looked the same direction as her.

Sitting in the corner of the courtyard was a young woman ghost. Her skin was white with long flaming, teal hair put into a ponytail at the top of her head held back, but a lot of her locks were out and covered a little of her face. Said face had remnants of makeup around her eyes and lips. But it was her eyes that captured his attention the most. Before she buried her head in her knees, he could see that her green eyes were dull and cold, but also held a dark burning anger.

"Ember was the most spirited of us all." The sadness in Desiree's tone was as clear as day. "She tried many times to escape, to which Walker decided he had become tired of her burning will, so he decided to break it. He tortured her all day and at night, he would even rape her." Naruto's eyes widen hearing that as Desiree's formed tears. "She was already cracking after that, but she shattered when she found out she was pregnant with that bastard's child; and when the child was born, Walker took it away. We have heard rumors that it was a boy and Walker is raising it to be just like him. Ember has become a much darker person, her spirit was broken from being violated by that monster. Her eyes harbor a dark fire for his and -I think- her own death. And her heart weeps in sorrow for her child, knowing there is nothing she can do to see him or stop him from becoming like that monster. I wish she didn't have gone through that, I wish it had been me, I wish… I wish…" Desiree covered her mouth as she began to weep.

Naruto held her hand in comfort and she held it tight as she tried to calm down. The Uzumaki was struggling on the inside, already knowing Walker was twisted; but to do something like this, to force himself on a young woman, to take her child, and turn mold him into a spitting image of himself, just to break her! Naruto's eyes were rapidly changing from his normal blue, to slit red, and pure yellow.

'I must… calm down…' He told himself. It was the only thing keeping him from blowing everything to kingdom come. He had to wait till Walker was here, then he could end all of this. Naruto took a deep breath and calmed his rage for the moment. "Desiree..." Naruto said firstly seeing if she was alright. She looked at him as she wiped the remaining tears from her red eyes. "Is there anything that Ember likes to lift her spirits, something she did, something she had?"

"Well she did like to play music," said the genie-themed ghost. "She had the power to summon her guitar from anywhere, but the collar prevents that. It probably wouldn't do much, but I'm sure if she could she would be playing it right now."

Naruto then got an idea, soon letting go of Desiree's hand and walked over towards Ember. Desiree wanted to stop him, but she felt that he wanted to help Ember; so she just watched from a distance and hoped that he could. 'Good luck.'

Ember glanced up when she saw the new human, before lowering her head again. "Are you here to pick on the Warden's bitch too!?" She tried to shout, but her voice was cracking. "Just leave me alone!"

Naruto merely gave her a soft smile. "Actually I came over to ask you for help." Underneath the facade, seeing her like this, the way she reacted to someone coming close to her, made his anger urge him to immediately find Walker and all those who helped break her spirit and kill them. But he tried to keep a calm tone hoping she would sense he meant no harm, and as fate would have it she spared him another look. Naruto rubbed the back of his head as he gave his friendly foxy smile. "I heard you like to play music on a guitar. I've been trying to learn myself and I was wondering if you could perhaps teach me, Miss Ember."

"Hey don't call me 'miss'." Ember said with a scowl. "I may be a few hundred years older than you, but I'm not married and I'm still young in ghost years." As angry as she tried to sound, Naruto could tell that there was a playful spirit in that tone. Ember also realized how she sounded and turned away. "Besides I can't summon my guitar so there's no point in asking." Ember's eyes widened as she heard a sound she hadn't heard in centuries, she turned to see Naruto was plucking the strings of a black and white electric guitar. Seeing a guitar and hearing it be played –just barely— brought back a little light in her eyes and it could be shown by the flame reigniting in her hair. "H-how? Where did you get that?"

"I have a way of hiding things from people." Naruto was thankful for his clones reading mostly useless books like 'The makings and building interments for dummies' or 'Idiot's guide to music'. 'What in hell's name posed them to pick those up, oh glad they did.' He thought as he strung the guitar again. "So what do you say, want to give it g—OW!" Naruto held his eye when one of the strings had popped off and slammed into it.

Ember's cheek's puffed up, but she couldn't hold in the laughter any longer as she held her side. Everyone could hear her and most were shocked they could. Naruto, for one, was smiling as he nursed his eye, glad that his poor materialization of the guitar had one good side to them.

"Damn you really do suck at playing the guitar!" She whipped her tears away, got up and grabbed the guitar. "First of all you have to make sure that everything is in working order, a guitar is like another part of your body. If it's not in working order, it won't function. Let me show you, Dipstick…" Ember began explaining how the guitar works and how to adjust them, Naruto saw the smile she had as she did and felt her spirit returning little by little. Desiree did too and shed a few tears of joy as she watched her once dead friend come back to life on the inside.

-One Hour Later-

Naruto and Ember were both strumming a simple few notes together Naruto had materialized another and better guitar for Ember earlier. He could see she was ten times better than she was before. The shattered shell of woman was coming back together into that strong willed ghost Desiree told him about.

Ember stopped plucking the strings and sat the guitar to the side. "Thanks Dipstick." She said as she smiled at Naruto, who looked confused. "Don't play dumb, I know you did all this to cheer me up, so don't and deny it."

"Ok, you got me." Naruto said, smiling back. "How'd you figure it out?"

"When Desiree started crying." Ember waved to her friend, who smiled sheepishly as she waved back. "Plus she is the only one who would probably talk to a human without pounding your face." Ember then gave him a serious expression. "My only question is 'why', why go out of your way to cheer me up?"

"She told me what happened to you." Answered the Uzumaki, which Ember lowered slightly as she listened. "When I heard what that bastard did to you, my blood boiled and I just wanted to kill him and everyone here. You didn't deserve that, nor did you deserve to be separated from your son."

"Just stop..." Ember said her voice was quite low. "I don't want to remember any of it, not after having such a good time just now, but thank you... It's good to know someone else cares." Ember then looked down and blushed slightly as Naruto took her hand in a firm, yet gentle hold; she looked at him to see a determined look in his eyes.

"Ember, I swear-no I promise you." Naruto began with a serious tone. "Walker will pay for what he has done. You and everyone else will get out of here, and then I will help you find your son, and I never go back on my promises."

Ember didn't know what to say, his words rang through her head like an echo. She couldn't stop staring into his eyes, they gave her a sense of comfort, calmed her, and seemed so familiar as if she had seen those eyes long ago. Ember came back to her senses, blushing a little more as she took her hand away from him. "Don't give false hope," Ember said as she looked away, "and don't make promises you can't keep. Walker is the ruler of the Ghost Zone, no one can stop him; especially not a normal human all by himself."

"What if I told you I was just a human?" Naruto asked with a grin.

"What, are you another Halfa? The collar still got your ghost powers restricted."

"Halfa yes, half ghost no."

"And he's not alone." They heard a familiar voice; both looked up to see Desiree standing there with Skulker and all the others. "We have decided to help him out with his plan." Desiree kneeled down beside her friend and placed a hand on her shoulder. "And I hope you will trust him and help too."

"Why would you all risk this?" Ember stared at them in disbelief. "You'll risk getting killed, you risk getting punished like… like I did. So why?"

"Because it is not false hope he gives." Desiree said with a warm smile, she then looked over at Naruto. "I don't know what it is but I feel like I know him well enough to trust him. This feeling gives me hope that he can do it, hope that we will be free, and I can tell everyone feels the same." She then pointed at Skulker. "Even the 'Mighty Hunter' trusts him and he is always the 'lone predator'."

"Hey!" Skulker said annoyed as everyone began to laugh.

Ember took a big sigh before looking down. "To be honest, I have that same feeling." Ember said as everyone stopped laughing. "Before I plunge into all of your madness…" she looked over at Naruto with a serious, yet pleading expression. "Do you really mean it, we will be free and I can find my son?"

Naruto gave his foxy smile. "Didn't tell you, Ember-chan?" Naruto said as he pointed to himself "I never go back on my promises. That's my Nindō, my Shinobi way, Dattabayo!"

"…Huh?" Ember asked, just as confused as everyone else about what he meant by that and his verbal tic. Naruto sighed as he felt he had a lot of explaining to do.

-Sometime Later-

Naruto spent the rest of the time explaining how he was a shinobi, his verbal tic, and his plan; after that they were all escorted to their cells. He watched as lights went out along the cell block before the light went out in his cell. 'Time to go to work,' he thought as he held out his hand and concentrated before mini spider-like darklings appeared on his palm, with their six red eyes and on their legs were grey little spikes. "You know what to do." The darklings gave a nod as they leaped off his hand and disappeared into the shadows under the bed. Once the last of them disappeared from his initial sight, the shinobi saw a figure growing closer to his cell door.

"Shouldn't you be asleep by now?" Spoke the dream ghost as he shrunk down and entered the cell. "You will need your rest for what's to come."

"Well I heard you would be paying me a visit tonight." Naruto crossed his arms with a smirk. "Besides, I don't sleep all that often. The darkness is my friend and we like to chat on nights like this."

"...It appears I've got a crazy one this time." Nocturn frowned. "I almost regret doing this, in fear of what your insane thoughts you may have." He extended her hand and a blue mist sprayed onto Naruto's face.

Naruto coughed as he felt himself getting sleepy, but he was still able to smirk. "Not my thoughts… you need… to worry about…" With that whisper, the shinobi collapsed on the bed and quickly fell asleep. Nocturne smiled as his body turned intangible and entered Naruto's mind.

-Inside Naruto's mindscape-

Nocturn raised an eyebrow as he found himself in a village-like setting with the sun setting upon the horizon. "Odd, this can't be the place he calls home." He said to himself as he floated down the street, which was all intact instead of in ruins. "All humans who end up in the Ghost Zone come from that dead world or one of the multiverses, this place is not one of them." Nocturn looked up at the sky and saw the last bit of light finally going out. Once the night reigned upon the land, the street lights came on and the eerie silence sent chills down the dream ghost's back.

'What is going on?' He looked forward and saw the prisoner walking down the street on the left. 'There you are...' Nocturn smirked as he thought he finally was about to get some information. He went down the street, but saw no sign of the boy. 'Where did he—'

Before Nocturn could finish his thoughts, four black claws lunged out of the ground and latched on to him, he watched as they somehow dug into his body. 'Impossible! This shouldn't be able to hurt me!' He tried to blast them with a green energy blast, but it had no effect. 'It's not working and I can't go intangible! What is with this boy's mind!?' His body now halfway in the ground, the claws had reached up and dug into his face. He tried to latch onto the ground in order to pry himself out, but his claws only made tracks in the dirt as his body sank deeper and deeper. "No, no, NNNNOOOOOO!" His screams were silent as his body was completely dragged into the void below.

Are you afraid?

Nocturn opened his eyes to see he was in a black void, nothing but emptiness and darkness. He felt like all the darkness was creeping down his spine as if trying to consume him, destroying him.

Are you scared of the Dark?

Nocturn heard the boy's voice, but it was demonic, inhuman; it actually made the dream ghost fearful. Never before had he encountered a human like this, but then again, he was now sure this person wasn't human. "S-show yourself!?" Nocturn tried to demand, his fear known by his tumbling voice.

You should be...

"Who are you!?" Nocturn shouted as he began blasting randomly, his fear beginning to overwhelm him. He stopped as he tired himself out before seeing a light shining from behind him. He turned to see Naruto standing in the light, back in his usual attire with his head down as both his face and expression hidden. "W-what are you?"

"A friend of the Darkness." Lifting his head, Naruto revealed eyes were red and slit with his face held a frown that slowly turned into a fanged smile which made the insane and crazy look normal. "But you, my ghostly friend…"

The light began to flicker soon after.

Nocturn's red eyes widened more and more as with every flicker, Naruto's form became more demonic. First two serpents appeared from behind his back, then his body was covered in a dark green skin with orange highlights, finally his eyes turned completely yellow, and when the light went out, that was all that could be seen.

"ArE nOT!"

The eyes grew until they were the size of a house before the body of one of the serpents formed around them. In a manner of moments, the newly made giant serpent roared as it reared its head back. Nocturn tried to fly away, but smaller serpents shot from its mouth and restrained his entire body by biting into him.

"No, no this cannot be!" Nocturn shouted in absolute fear as he tried to pull the serpents off, only for them to bite down harder and green blood flowed out from the puncture wounds. He panicked as he saw the massive jaws of the serpent draw closer, it's breath actually singing his body. "No please, I can't die like this! I am supposed to be all powerful here, I am—" His final word unfinished as the serpent's fangs pierced the middle of his body. All he got out was gasp and screams, before his body was completely pulled in and tore apart. With a few bites and one mighty gulp, that was the end of the Nocturn, the ghost of dreams.

"Well there's your heart for the day." Naruto said as he appeared on top of the serpent's head with both his armor and serpents gone. Upon leaping off and landing on the ground, he turned to the serpent. "Hope it was satisfying."

"SoUlS oF GHoSt ARE HoLLoW, PRactIcaLly VOId Of DeliCIouS LIFE." Spoke the darkness serpent. "HArdLy A MeAl."

"Well maybe the other two ghosts on our list will be more 'lively' than him." Joked the Uzumaki. The serpent narrowed its eyes before vanishing. "I expected that reaction."

Naruto looked around as the darkness faded with the light coming back into his sight. With him awake once more, he almost forgot he was inside the prison, probably only a minute or two passed. He almost forgot about the time difference between his mind and the real world.

'I wonder how my darklings are doing.' Naruto closed his eyes and tried to see through his darkling's eyes. There he saw them come out of the shadows underneath a desk, crawling on top and looked around to see an office-like room. 'Must be Walker's.' The darklings turned to see a control panel and a computer screen; having a list of names, each with a cell number and either had the word 'ACTIVE' or 'TERMINATED' beside it. 'Time to do a little maintenance.'

Naruto watched as the darkling spiders pass through several small cracks in the control panel and began to destroy it. 'Who knew these things were good with technology.' He saw another darkling enter the drawer. There it saw a green flaming crown and a ring with a skull imprinted on it. 'There you are.' A few darklings then sank into the darkness of the desk and pulled the two artifacts with them. 'That parts done, now for the last ones.'

Images finally came from some darklings hanging upside down in the north wing of the prison. They saw a guard look around before pressing a panel in the wall, a door opened up and he wheeled a cart of food in. 'Hidden room… not so hidden anymore.' Opening his eyes and standing up, he made a clone and then shifted into a small orange and black fox. 'time to get to work.'

Slipping through the bars and making his way down the corridor, he notices everyone was actually asleep. 'Nocturn must have put everyone asleep before he came to me.' Naruto stopped his advancement and hid when he saw some guards pass before he proceeded once more. Finally making it to the north wing, he moved up the side of the wall and waited for the guard to come back out. He didn't have to wait long as the door slid open and the guard came out with the near empty cart. Taking this chance, he jumped in before the door closed.

Changing back into his normal form, he began to walk down the half-bright hallway, it wasn't long until he found the people he was looking for.

In one cell on the right was a bear-like person with his fur was white, two ice horns on top of his head, and his left arm was made of ice with bones shown from within. The next cell held a woman with blue skin, red eyes, purple hair and an extra set of arms. Then it was a large wolf-like ghost with black fur and green eyes. On the left was a ghost with a sleek body that had no mouth or nose and he wore large red glasses. The next one had black hair and a beard, pale skin and green eyes. The following one was a woman with long blond hair in one big braid, green skin and red eyes. Next was another woman with blue skin and green long hair, wearing a blindfold on covering her eyes with a slight white glow coming through. The next was a man who looked human with black hair and regular skin, but what stood out was his pure white eyes. Naruto couldn't see the next man's face 'cause his prison clothes had a hood with it, but he could tell he had red and pale skin. The last of the bunch was a man with pale skin, his eyes were completely white, his head was bald, and he looked a little aged.

The frost beast was the first to notice the new presence in the cell block. "Who's there?" He said getting everyone's attention.

Seeing as he was already found out, Naruto walked closer so they all could see him.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki." He introduced and began pointing at them in order as he saw them. "You all are… Frostbite leader of the Far Frozen, Pandora leader of Greek and ancient ghosts, Wulf leader of the animal ghost, Amorpho the ghost of all forms, Ghost Writer the ghost who narrates reality, the Dragon Queen Dorathea, Vision the successor to the Observants, Phantom Strange the Trinity of Sin, Spectre the Spirit of Vengeance, and Boston Brand the Deadman; all of you make of up the Ghost Zone Council."

"I expected you a bit sooner." Spoke the ghost known as Vision. She then placed her hands on the side of her head, her eyes glowing slightly brighter through the blindfold. "But it's been so long since I have used my powers, the future is blurry."

"Wait, your powers are back!?" Frostbite said, she nodded to him and he checked by holding up his hand. He smiled when he saw their powers had indeed returned as he created a diamond shaped ice.

Naruto saw all of them get up and get ready to bust or faze out of their cell. "Wait a moment!" Naruto said stopping them. "I know you all want to break out, but if you do it can cause a lot of trouble for the ghosts that don't know their powers are working, I need you to give me some time before you all do a jailbreak."

"While I am grateful to your actions of returning our powers to us." Spectre said a dark aura appeared around him. "I have spent lifetimes in this hollow shade of Hell. Now that I have my powers back, why should I spend another second here?"

"Because even if you get out, Walker is still free to capture you all again." Naruto said with his arms crossed and his expression serious. "Clockwork was the one who sent me. My mission is free everyone here, recover all the artifacts Walker has taken, and then end him and his followers. I have already taken out Nocturne, but the Warden and Fright Knight still remain. I could free everyone now, but Walker is not here yet if he learns of this, he could flee, hide and return another day. I know you want to get out, but I'm asking you to wait a little bit longer, till I have both of them in my grasp and everyone is free; because this Zone belongs to all ghosts, they deserve the right to live in it without fear."

All of them stared at him, shocked he would say such things or have such a plan, not many humans cared about what happened to ghosts. Frostbite and some of the others smiled or smirked as they saw the image of the white haired teen this young blond reminded them of.

Phantom Strange chuckled as he sat back down. "Such spirit you have. Spectre, let's give the boy a chance, I believe he can do it. He has that potential we saw in many of our old world."

"You got that right, kid would have made a great hero." Deadman said as he leaned against the bars. "Relax Spectre, we've been here for centuries. What's a few more hours compared to that?"

"Fine!" The Spectre sat down with his arms crossed. "But you better hurry up, boy."

Naruto merely smiled. "You won't be here long, all I need to do is collect the remaining artifacts and then tomorrow it all ends. Just be ready to break out when you hear the commotion outside."

"If it is the artifacts of the Ghost Zone you seek..." Frostbite pointed down the hallway. "Walker keeps them in a vault down that way. But be careful, not only is it protected by a ghost shield, it has also been modified, so that it can destroy both ghosts and human beings on contact."

"And if you can darling," Dorathea said, giving him a smile. "Could you be a dear and return my Amulet of Aragon to me? I can't very well fight without it."

"Don't worry I'll bring it back to you." Naruto said as he smiled back before running down the hallway to the vault. "Everyone be ready and I'll see you tomorrow!"

"I think we have another Great One on our hands" Frostbite said smiling.

"He's alright, I guess." Writer said as he laid back down. "And he does remind me of Danny, but from all I can tell he's an ordinary kid."

"There's nothing ordinary about him." Vision said as she was the last to sit back down. 'He has many paths into the future he can take.' She thought as her eyes flashed. 'They are all uncertain and overgrowing with different possibilities. What a mysterious child you sent us Clockwork, makes me wonder if you did this to start him on a path.'

-With Naruto-

Making it to a white room, Naruto saw at the end was a vault door with two green rods that formed some kind of green energy dome. 'Must be the ghost shield thingy.' Naruto thought as he went towards it, reached out his hand and touched it, wincing as he felt electricity flowing into him. 'Well he did say it hurts too, gotta make this quick.'

Ignoring the pain, Naruto pushed his burning hand through the barrier and crushed one of the rods with the shield vanished soon after. He took a moment to let his numb, singeing hand to recover when it did before using his cloak tendrils to tear the vault door off the hinges.

Inside he found what he was looking for with there being a lot of artifacts in there. On one pedestal layed a purple box with a green skull and a gold scepter with a blue sapphire scarab gem on another. There was a gold amulet with a green gem embedded in it which looked like an eye with a slit pupil; which he guessed was the amulet Dorathea was talking about. A white and black book, both with green lines and spirals on it, a black watch with a green hourglass symbol, and a whole lot more.

Naruto held out his arm and a bunch of black serpents came out of his sleeves. They entered the vault and began to sink into the ground, turning it inky black, save for one that grabbed the amulet in its jaws and coiled around Naruto's arm.

"Take that to Dorathea." He ordered the serpent on his arm, which rushed off as commanded. "The rest of you, send this stuff into the Darkness, until we can give them to Clockwork." The rest of the artifacts sank into the black ground like water, and as the Darkness vanished the vault was empty. He realized this all didn't take much time at all, still having a few hours until it was time to begin.

'Maybe I will check in on everyone.' Naruto then realized he had never transported himself before as he was so used to flying by this point. He then thought about what Lilith said about traveling though shadows. 'Worth a shot.' Naruto looked up at the ceiling and saw all the whiteness from the room was coming from lights inside the ceiling. Using a finger beam, he quickly destroyed it, turning the room black; save for a pair of yellow eyes that took a step forward, then vanished.

-City of Aku-

Coming out of the darkness of an alleyway, Naruto looked around and he saw that he was back at the mall when he and the Grim girls went to earlier. 'Not bad for my first try,' he thought. 'Guess I will just fly the rest of the way.'

"What do you mean it was declined!?"

Turning to the source, he saw a girl standing in front of a sweet's shop with a furious, yet confused look on her face. She had navy colored hair on the outside with pink on the underside, She wore an outfit consisting of a black lolita-like dress, a blue bow, black and blue striped stockings and black pumps. She also wore a black sleeves dress with purple low-cut chuck Taylor's with a bow on the dress with black and indigo striped stockings.

"I'm sorry, miss." Said the red clerk demon as he handed her a white card. "But your Light Card has been blocked for any uses or accesses."

"Damn it." Mumbled the girl as she put the card in her pocket. "Mother must have figured out we've been using her cards." Her cyan eyes looked down in the display case at all the chocolate, pudding, and candy in all varieties. She practically made puddles of drool as she became mesmerized by the teeth rotting goodness. "I really wanted to try these Underworld sweets, I need to."

Naruto felt sorry for her, yet also creeped out by how hard she was staring at those sweets. It was like watching a sane person about to lose all their sanity in an instant. Still… he didn't mind helping her, it would help him pass the time a little.

"Excuse me." Naruto said as he walked up to them, pulling out the Aku Card he was given earlier and held it up. "I'll pay for whatever she wanted." The demon clerk began bowing in a rapid succession before opening the display case. As this went on, the shinobi smiled at the gothic girl. "Go ahead and get what you wanted."

"...Why are you offering to pay?" Suspiciously asked the navy-haired girl as she crossed her arms. "What do you want in return? Money, sex, servitude?"

"No, nothing like that." Naruto said waving his hand 'no'. "I saw you were having a problem so I wanted to help you out, there's no motive behind it."

The girl looked like she couldn't believe someone in the Underworld was doing something out of the goodness of their heart. But if he was offering, she was not going to throw away his kind gesture or a good opportunity to get sweets without paying. "So I can get anything I want?" She asked, pointing to the display case.

"Yep, anything."

"No matter how much?"

"No matter how much."

"You sure?"

"I'm sure".

-Two Minutes Later-

'I'm not so sure now.' Naruto thought as he saw the gigantic bag of sweets beside the girl, who looked like she was in complete bliss after eating about ten of the Underworld pudding. She was describing how good and delicious it was, but Naruto couldn't understand as she stuffed a spoon full of pudding in her mouth after every syllable. 'I know I said she could have as much as she wanted...' Naruto glanced over towards the demon clerk, who was crying on the counter with an empty display case below. 'But I didn't expect her to clean the store, and people say I have a serious food addiction.' He saw the girl had a little pudding on the side of her cheek, he took his finger and wiped it off. "There you go, you had a little—" before he could finish, she latched on to his finger with her mouth.

Naruto's face turned beat red as he felt her tongue twist and twirl around his finger, carefully cleaning the creamy substance off as if it was the last delicious thing on the planet before she finally pulled off his finger. "So good~" She said as she saw Naruto's face. "Nice and thick~"

"You enjoyed that too much." Naruto said, still blushing as he wipes his finger, wondering how she could say that with a calm face.

"There is nothing better than the delectable taste of sweets" The navy-haired girl patted the large bag of sweets as she smiled at him. "Thank you for getting these for me, I didn't expect mother to have found out me and my sister have been over using our cards. Oh well, but I also didn't expect you not to ask for anything in return. Most guys would have wanted to have sex or do you not like girls?"

"I do like girls." His eye twitching a little at the question. "But I would never blackmail someone into having sex with me, I'd rather it be with someone I care about and love."

"...You're not a demon are you" Her face was still calm, but she sounded like she was completely shocked to hear someone say that. "What's your name?"

"My name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki." The shinobi introduced with a smirk. "And your half right, I'm half demon and half human. What's your name? You don't seem like a demon yourself."

"My name is Stocking Anarchy and I'm—" Before the girl now known as Stocking could finish, a white light shined down from the sky and surrounded her. "Guess I'm caught." She then smiled at Naruto and waved with the other hand latched on the bag of sweets. "Thank you for the sweets Naruto, I hope we meet again so that I can repa—EEP!" That was all he heard as both she and the bag went soaring up the beam of light, and as quick as she went the light did too.

Naruto blinked as he looked where the light last was. 'I guess her mother called her back or something.' He thought as he remembered Stocking saying her mother caught her using her card. Not wanting to understand the strangeness of the Underworld, the Uzumaki decided to walk around, at least until he found something else strange.

Walking back into the section of the store he, Darcy, and Minnie were previously at earlier that day, he figured he might as well buy something for himself. He was about to enter the store when he saw a bunch of people forming a crowd over yonder. 'What's all the commotion about?' Naruto floated above the crowd and saw why the people- no fanboys were so happy. 'Chi? Mimi?'

Chi and Mimi were walking through the mall, Mimi was now wearing something vaguely similar to her father's attire: a short red dress with a furry white trim around her collar, cuffs, and bottom of the dress, with a black belt around her waist she also wore long, black, thigh-high go-go boots. Chi was wearing one of the clothes she was advertising on the billboards: a light blue miniskirt, navy blue top with a white jacket and golden hoop earrings. Some of Aku's guards were either holding the crowd back or holding shopping bags and boxes, it was obvious they came to shop, but the crowd was just eating up their idol coming to such a popular location. Chi smiled and waved, but Mimi seemed annoyed by all the attention, she fiddled with the underside of her dress as if reaching for something.

"We love you Chi!" One of the fans shouted as more spoke.

"You're an Idol Goddess!"

"Who's your cute friend? Are you two going to be singing together?"

"Marry me Chi and your friend too!"

"Sorry." Chi said all cutie-like as she leaned over and grabbed Mimi's arm, unknowingly stopping her from taking something out. "We're already taken."

"WHAT BY WHO!?" Every fan, male and female shouted.

"Oi~ Chi-chan! Mimi-chan!" A voice called from above, Chi and Mimi instantly looked up recognizing the voice with everyone following, floating down was Naruto with a warm smile. "What's up?"

"Naruto-kun!" Chi shouted as she rushed forward and latched onto his arm.

The entire crowd around them turned grey with dead eyes, as reality just dropped the bomb by dropping this blond haired stranger out of the sky and pushing their cute idol into his arms. And to add insult to injury, Mimi quickly appeared and latched on to his other arm, before looking at the crowd and sticking her tongue out. They all crumbled and turned to dust in the wind.

Naruto watched as the crowd went away with looks of complete depression or anger. 'What's wrong with them?' Naruto thought before shrugging it off and looking at the girls. "You two doing a little shopping?" Naruto asked as he glanced over at the guard holding all the bags 'Maybe little wasn't the right word.'

"Yep, got to stay on top of the latest style." Chi said as she posed with her hand on her hip and a smirk. "Even though I make them popular." She pointed up at all the billboards with her wearing different brands of clothing, She then latched on to Naruto's arm again with her eyes half lidded. "You want to come with us Naruto-kun? We can show you all the clothes we bought."

'All of them.' She thought as ideas formed in her head.

"Well I'm not good with clothes, but sure." Naruto said.

"Oh you'll like these clothes, won't he Mimi-chan?" Chi asked Mimi, who nodded. They then began to drag Naruto along with them, who was feeling more and more nervous about this.

-Two Hours Later-

Naruto was sitting on a bench in the mall plaza, he had his head stretched back with his eyes closed, hoping he wouldn't lose any more blood. 'Man these girls may just kill me.' Thought the shinobi as he tried to calm down after Mimi and Chi's stunt. The two had tried on many revealing outfits, but Mimi's last outfit consisted of just three bandaids, that was a lot of red and more red came out of his nose when they fell off.

Naruto's eye twitched as he sensed something or someone to close for comfort.

Speaking of kill…

"I thought you three were dead." Naruto open his eyes and glared around to see the Powerpunk Girls alive and well. Berserk was sitting on the head of the bench next to him on his left, Brute was sitting right next to him with her arms and legs crossed on his right, and Brat was sitting sideways on his lap. All three were wearing black and white suits like Chi's guards.

"Honestly blondie," Berserk said smiling, "did you really think Aku would let some of his strongest warriors die over a little test for his newest one?"

"One can hope." Naruto said bluntly, he then glanced down at the half-lidded blue eyes of Brat. "Can you get off my lap?"

"Aww~ but it's the best seat here." Brat winced as she turned forward and moved back to where her rear was on his groin. Naruto went red as she kept swaying her rear. "And it even comes with its own pole for me." He didn't like where this was going, so he picked her up and sat her on the bench as she crossed her arms and pouted. "Poo~ you're no fun."

"Nah it's just that ain't for you is blondie?" Brute said with a grin as she nudged Naruto with her elbow hard. "It's for Chi and that friend of hers, ain't it? We saw the whole thing and damn those girls are bold. Don't know what they see in you though, but I guess the things on the outside are a pretty good reason."

"Did you three come here just to annoy me?" Naruto grunted.

"No we're Chi's bodyguards." Berserk said as she jumped off and stood in front of them. "After the kidnapping attempt, Aku thought it best to up security. Honestly, those walking smokescreens in suits can't do anything more than hold shopping bags." The redhead zipped off and came back with bottles of water, tossing two to her sisters and one to Naruto before taking a sip of hers. "To be perfectly honest, something you will never hear me say again, but I have some respect for you blondie." Naruto raised an eyebrow as he drank some of his water. "You were able to beat all three of us by yourself, something even our goodie-goodie counterparts couldn't do, so that gives you a good grade in my book. Plus, you saved Chi from that ghost. We may not be allowed to interact with her as much as we want, but the girl is still our friend. We look after each other and our own. So if you help our own, then you're cool with us."

"Yeah, if you hadn't saved Chi," said the blond haired girl as she patted his shoulder, "I wouldn't have anybody to shop or talk about fashion with, cause these two are no fun to shop with and don't care about fashion."

"And what little you wear is so fashionable." Brute said sarcastically, ignoring her sister flipping her off. She smirks and gave him a hard, yet playful hit on the arm. "But I have to admit, you're fun to fight, but next time I will win."

"Keep telling yourself, Brute-san" Naruto said, returning the hit with a smirk. He looked over at a large skull clock and saw how much time had passed. "Not much time has passed, but I guess I should go and get back to my mission."

"Yeah we should do the same and watch Chi from the shadows." Berserk said as she extended her hand, Naruto smiled and shook hers. "Good luck Naruto and remember…" Brat and Brute stood up and stood beside their sister, all of them pulling out a pair of black shades and putting them on, while dawning serious expressions. "You don't just serve a demon lord, you serve all of them. So stay strong, don't disgrace them, and above all else, don't make us regret showing you respect or else."

The three of them then dashed off in different directions with only the wind as a hint to where.

"Noted." Naruto said to no one with a sweatdrop. He then saw Chi and Mimi come out of the store they were in, the guards struggling to hold anymore bags and boxes. The Uzumaki smiled at them as he stood up. "Hey Chi-chan, Mimi-chan, it's time I head back, I'm still on the clock for my client Clockwork."

"Aww~ then that means you're both leaving." Chi wined as she looked back at Mimi. "Mimi-chan's father is having them leave at the end of the day." Naruto narrowed his eyes at the mention of Him, but lightened them when he saw Chi cried anime tears. "I wanted to spend some more time with you both and have lots of fun so we can grow really close." 'In more ways than one.' She thought as a chibi image of herself pouted and cried in her head.

"It will be alright, Chi-chan." Naruto closed his hands together and when he opened them, there were two orange bracelets with three black spheres in them with a red eye inside before he put them on both of the girl's wrists. "These bracelets have three of my darklings in them." Each of the spheres blinked, letting them know they were there. "If you girls ever need me, they are made to signal me whenever they're destroyed, so just pop one and I'll be there."

'Wow my first gift from Naruto-kun!' Chi thought as she looked at it with sparkles in her eyes. She then began to pet the eyes, a purr like growl could be heard coming from it. "Aww their cute." She said, while Mimi was having a staring contest with hers. "Thank you Naruto-kun, I will treasure this forever."

"O-ok..." Naruto said, not sure how his darkling emergency signal was turned into an accessory and a pet. "Well I see you two soon."

"Ok, bye Naruto-kun." Chi said as she and Mimi waved before Naruto vanished where he was standing. Chi then had a mischief look on her face and went to pop one of the darklings, until Mimi leaned over to her and gave her a look. Chi halted her action and poke her fingers together as she gave a sheepish smile. "I was just seeing if it works."

-One hour later, Walker's Prison-

"BREAKFAST, EVERYBODY OUT!" Shouted one of the guards before all the cell doors opened with all the ghosts went down to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Naruto came into the cafeteria and saw all his ghostly allies waiting for him at the table. "Hey guys, good morning." Naruto said before looking confused. "Or is it later? Hard to tell in the Underworld, no sun. Anyways you guys get a good night's sleep?"

"Actually, yeah we did." Ember said as she looked confused. "We all did, normally the good dreams turn into nightmares thanks to Nocturn, but it was all good now. What happened, did you beat him or something, Dipstick?"

"Don't worry, Ember-chan." Naruto said, giving her a smile. "The only nightmare you have to worry about now is the Warden, but that won't be a problem soon."

"YOU!" Naruto heard someone shout, he then felt himself get jerked back and came face to face with an angry Fright Knight as the entire prison shot up to look at them. "What did you do to Nocturn!?" Fright Knight demanded as he raised his sword, the Soul Shredder. "He did not return after visiting your cell and would never abandon his post. So you must be the reason for his absence. Why!?"

"Easy there, Fright Knight." A voice said behind him, making the Black Knight of Halloween drop the whiskered blonde.

Getting back onto his feet, Naruto saw most of the surrounding ghosts stiffen before turning his attention to the new arrival. Standing with a few guards behind him was a pale white ghost with green eyes. His attire was almost completely white, except for his hat, gloves, tie, and boots.

Fright Knight bowed as this ghost walked past him and stood in front of Naruto with a glare. "You must be the new human that was brought to my prison. My names Walker, son, I am your judge, executioner, jury, executioner, jailer and if necessary; your executioner! And before you ask, yes, I said executioner three times, but only because I like that part of the job."

"No better job than one you love." Naruto smirked as he crossed his arms. "And I must say you're doing a great job at being a bully in your own playground. Kids big and small are afraid of the big bad Walker, good for you." Walker grit his teeth as he grabbed Naruto by the shirt, whose smirk never left his whiskered face, 'Just like Clockwork said.' Naruto thought as he saw the anger in Walker's eyes. 'Insults and banter remind him of Danny, causing his anger to flare. The guy's name really has an impact in the Ghost Zone.' "Did I make you angry, I've been making a lot of people angry lately, I guess I have a knack for that."

"Out there, yes, but you're in my house now, punk." Said the white ghost as he knocks Naruto to the ground and walks around him. "You're living in my world. You will obey my laws and if you cross me, I will make sure the pain you feel will remind you who runs this joint." He stopped in front of Naruto. "Any questions?"

Naruto grinned as he raised his hand and Walker pointed to him. "Yeah, let me just reach into my pocket here and find my 'I did give a fuck' card."

"That wasn't a question."

"Oh that wasn't the question. Do you think the Lunch Lady's food is good?"

"I don't eat prisoner food."

"Well there's a first time for everything." Naruto reached over to a random ghost's plate and smacked the warden with a chicken leg. "FOOD FIGHT!"

With a loud cheer from all the ghosts, the food began flying.

The Fright Knight and the guards tried to stop the rowdy prisoners, only to be hit and blinded by waves of mash potatoes, Skulker was laughing as the other ghost just looked at the sight in shock, they all looked at Naruto as he came up to them. "That wasn't the first thing that came to mind, but if everything is going according to plan, then all that's left is to break the big news."

"Big news?" Spectra asked.

"ENOUGH!" Walker shouted, getting everyone to stop and look at him, almost laughing since he was covered from head to toe in mash potatoes and other food stuff. He shook the grime off and reached into his pocket. "You all think this is funny!?" He pulled out a remote, all the ghosts tensed up as they knew it was the control to their collars. "Let's see if you think a ten thousand bolts into your brains is funny!" Walker pressed the button and… nothing? Walker's eyes widened as did everyone else's, except Naruto, who was smirking. Walker pressed it again, and again, and again, until his finger looked like a blur on the button. "WHY ISN'T IT WORKING!?"

"And that's the big news." Naruto revealed, getting everyone's attention. "The collars and your systems have been disabled since last night, about five or six minutes after I killed Nocturne."

Everyone was completely shocked at what he just said, but it should have been obvious since Nocturne hasn't made an appearance and the lack of sleepwalkers. Naruto glanced around at everyone and saw they weren't doing anything besides staring at him, he sighed. "Since you all don't seem to get what I'm saying, I'll spell it out for you" Naruto's body was covered in a red flame and his 'Shinobi of Sorrow' attire appeared on him, he reached into the shadows of his sleeves, he drew out his swords. "YOUR POWERS WORK, NOW I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU GO, BUT GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

All the ghosts cheered, the sound of collars breaking could be heard all around and in the next moment the explosions could be seen all around. The ghosts began to fire rays at the guards and beat them as they busted down the walls.

Ember created some flames that turned into a purple guitar which had a flaming top, a long handle and a flaming shaped bottom with two fireballs decorated the color matching her hair and one of the knobs can be twisted to different symbols/settings. She said a quick 'Missed you baby.' before turning it to a fist symbol and with a mighty strum of the strings, a fist shaped energy blast fired out and hit the guards.

Skulker's suit worked again and he began firing missiles all over the cafeteria. Spectra's body turned shadow-like with red eyes and she threw green disks of energy, cutting through some of the guards. Johnny summoned some kind of shadow creature to attack the guards, Kitty fired a blue ghost ray and shot a kiss shape blast that made the guards disappear. And Desiree's body grew larger, letting her easily swat away the smaller ghost.

'Everything's going according to plan now...' Naruto thought with a smirk as he turned to see Walker fleeing. 'Time to dethrone the king and free the people.'

Naruto went to chase after Walker, but stopped when he heard the battle cry of the Fright Knight. He turned and saw him slashing at some of the ghosts and they vanished. 'Clockwork said his sword sends people to a realm where their worst fears come to life. He needs to be taken out, but…' He saw Walker was going out the doorway. The shinobi growled as he turned back to see the Fright Knight closing in on a distracted Ember. Naruto's eyes widened before narrowing, his choice was clear as he flew over and used his swords to block the knights.

Ember finally noticed and turned to see Naruto had saved her. "You should really pay more attention to your surroundings, Babypop." Naruto told her with a smirk and using one of her nicknames she used.

"I'll keep that in mind, Dipstick." She said with a matching smirk. "And thanks for the save, now duck!" Naruto pushed the black knight back with a kick and did as she said. Ember strung her guitar and a music note blast hit the Fright Knight, knocking him into a few tables. "Guess he doesn't like good music."

"Then he has bad taste, I think it rocks." Responded the Uzumaki with a wide smile, which Ember smiled back with a slight blush.

Their attention turned back to the Fright Knight as he got back up, summoned a purple flaming crystal meteor and hurled it at them. Naruto shot a blast at it, causing it to shatter. Fright Knight summoned four more meteors, to which the shinobi shot a few fireballs this time. This made Ember smirk as her hair turned into flames and shot behind the fireballs, merging the two and making them into larger green fireballs. They broke through the meteors and hit the Fright Knight head on.

"Did anyone ever tell you your hair was hot?"

"Did anyone ever tell you your lines were terrible?" Ember countered with a smirk, making the shinobi to nervously chuckle. The black knight slashed through the flames and fired a pink energy ray from his eyes. Ember held her guitar like a baseball bat and swatted the beam into the wall. "Man, the guy is persistent. I'll give him that." She then notices all of the ghosts were now making their escape. "The party's almost over, we should split too."

"You go, I still have a mission to do." Naruto put his swords back into his sleeves as they vanished into the darkness. He then held out his hand and in a black flame, the darkness clever he got from the game appeared. "The defenses should be down and you will have no trouble but the guards."

"I, more than anything, can understand seeing a mission through." Skulker said as he came up to them with the others behind him. "But this is pointless, Fright Knight has been stalling you. Walker has probably already made it to his office, if he comes back with the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire, you won't be able to win."

"You're wrong." Naruto said as he saw the Fright Knight throw another meteor at them. Two serpents rose out of Naruto's back as he jumped up and slashed the meteor in half. "I've already won!" Parts of the serpents' heads turned blue and their eyes glowed white. He wasn't surprised the Darkness was acting on its own, but he had already started to welcome it.

As the serpents fired a blast of darkness, the Fright Knight jumped away, but wasn't prepared for when the blast bursted in the air and turned into a black hole, causing everything close to it to get sucked in. Fright was having a hard time but he was able to back away, until a table hit him in the back. it didn't knock him over, but he lost the grip on the Soul Shredder.

"No my sword!" He shouted as he watched his signature sword getting sucked into the void before it closed. The Fright Knight gave a roar of anger as he glared intensely at the smirking whiskered blond. "You think you've won!? You have only delayed the inevitable, all who defy he who wears the Crown and Ring will know a fate worse than death!"

"Well I'm not wearing them." Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled out the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire, shocking everyone. "But I do hold them, does that count?"

"T-this…" Stuttered the knight before lowering his head and went silent, confusing Naruto and making him wonder what he was up to. "This changes everything." The Fright Knight's body then became transparent and his body fazed through the ground.

"The coward has fled." Naruto heard a familiar voice say, making him and everyone else look over to see Frostbite and the other council members standing there. Frostbite was the first to come up to him with a smile. "I expected many things, but a riot is a new one."

"Actually it's been done before," said Naruto, "this time it was done with a different main character. Can you guys lead everyone out of here?"

"Do not worry, Naruto." Vision said as she floated next to Frostbite. "We shall clear a path for everyone, so you may follow yours without worry."

"Thank you." Naruto said before turning to the other ghosts. "Well I'll see you all on the outside."

"Finish the job, Naruto," Skulker said with a smirk, "so I will be able to hunt you freely in the Underworld."

"Seriously?" Johnny said with narrowed eyes. "Is that all you ever think about?" Skulker just glared at him as they all began to leave.

Ember stopped and turned to Naruto. "Thank you Naruto and you better come back."

Naruto nodded, she gave him a smile before leaving and Naruto flew in the other direction, to the warden's office.

-Walker's Office-

Walker could be seen pulling drawer after drawer out of his desk, his filing cabinets, even ripping the tiles out of the floor. "WHERE ARE THEY!?" He shouted as he threw his chair against the wall, enraged that the items he was searching for were nowhere to be found.

"Such a mess you're making." Walker gritted his teeth hearing the voice of his now second most hated person in all the realms. He turned to see Naruto leaning against the doorway smirking. "And I went through all the trouble of doing a little house cleaning before you got back."

"You took the Ring and Crown!?" Walker said, trembling with rage, he then took a deep breath and calmed down as he glared at Naruto. "I should have known something was up when Fright Knight told me Clockwork turned you over to me. I should have had you killed when I laid eyes on you." Walker walked to the side of his desk and towards the wall, Naruto was curious as to what he was doing. "The first time someone cause a jailbreak here, I was unprepared and he got away, I spent years preparing in case it happens again."

"How unfortunate." Naruto walks towards Walker with his swords drawn out at the ready. "All your planning went to waste."

"You misunderstood, I can always round up those low life ghosts again." Walker said before phasing through the wall. Naruto went to pursue the warden and destroy the wall, but before he could something came out and knocked him against the other wall. "I haven't been preparing to prevent a jailbreak…" Naruto looked up to see Walker in some kind of completely white robotic suit with guns and cannons on the wrist and shoulders, on the chest there was a black 'D' symbol like what Dani had, except it was crossed out and replaced with a 'W'. Walker smirked as he opened the robotic hands and glowing green claws came out. "I've been preparing, so that the punk who caused it will respect my rules in a whole new afterlife."

Naruto's eyes went wide, but then he grew a smirk. "Well and here I thought this was going to be too easy." Naruto said as he took off his cloak. "Only one of us will die here, Walker, and that's you, but there's no afterlife where you're going…" Naruto slammed his cloak into the wall, it began to sink into its surface and spread across the whole room. "For there is no life in darkness." The whole room had turned completely black with the only color and light being them, Naruto's eyes then turned completely yellow. "Nisshoku (Eclipse)."

-Inside Naruto's mindscape-

Kurumi watched as Naruto began to use the Darkness, she worried so much when he used such power. She admitted she was a little jealous when he called on that demon woman's power more than her own, but she was mostly worried about how it affected him; how it changed him when he used it.

'Naruto-kun...' Kurumi thought. 'Please stay who you are, stay the one I love.' Kurumi then heard something behind her, she turned and instantly glared. Standing in the shade of the tree was Lilith smiling at her. "You!" Growled the Kyuubi as her chakra flared with her tails rose in a threatened manner. "What in the hell are you doing here!?"

"Relax, don't get your tails in a bunch." Lilith said as she put her hand on her hip. "I'm here at the request of Naruto-kun." Kurumi calmed down slightly at the mention of Naruto, but glared harder at the tone she used when she said his name. "He wants us to get along, so..." Lilith snapped her fingers and two chairs appeared before sitting in one of them. "...lets talk."
