Chapter 13
"So what's the plan here?" Elena asked. "Do we know where she could be?" I asked Nik. "We have an idea. We think that she might be back at the old homestead." Nik says. "Wait, the old Salvatore place?" Caroline asked and Nik nodded. "So, what do we do?" Caroline asked. "I have an idea but I don't know if Stefan would be up for it." I say. They all look at me and Eli says "Let's hear it little sister." I start explaining. "Well, she has her phone, right? You all told me that she was in love with Stefan. So, what if Stefan called her and asked her to meet him at the old Salvatore crypt. That's somewhere that is private and secluded and it's somewhere that she would believe he would meet her. Then once she is there, he lures her into the crypt to talk where no one can see and we will all be waiting there for her. If she loves Stefan like you guys say then she won't turn down a chance to be with him." I explain and they all look at each other. "That might work." Stefan says. "Anyone have her number?" he asked and Nik gives him the number. Stefan makes the call and the plan is put into motion.
While we are waiting on time to go to the crypt, I start catching up with Elijah. "How have you been Kali?" he asked. "Good. Really good. But tell me about you." I say. "I have been staying in New Orleans. You know I always loved it there." he says "How's Marcel?" I asked. "He is good. Seems him and NiKlaus have been patching things up." he says and I look at Nik to see him smirking. "You better be nice to him Nik. I mean it." I tell him and he nods. "So, tell me what is going on with you and Damon." he asked. "We are together. Eli, I am really happy with him." I tell him. "Good. But you do understand that if he hurts you…" he says and I cut him off, "He won't." I tell him and he pulls me into a hug.
It's time to meet Katherine at the crypt and we are all waiting inside, positioned at different spots to surround her as soon as they walk in. We hear them coming. "Stefan, I have missed you so much. But Klaus is after me. You have to help me." she pleads. "Katherine, I will protect you, okay but you have to listen to what I say. I won't let him hurt you." he tells her, playing along. They walk into the crypt and we all surround her. "Stefan, what's this? You lied to me." she says sounding hurt. "Like all the times you lied to me? Yeah. Sucks doesn't it?" He asked her before pushing her into the circle. She tries to run but Bonnie and I are chanting and casting a spell to keep her there until we undo the spell. Klaus grabs her and snaps her neck like the last time and starts to carry her out. We stop the spell and I grab Eli and say "Make sure he keeps her this time." Eli looks at me and smiles and says "Of course little sister." He kisses my forehead and walks to Damon and I hear him say "Take care of my little sister." Damon nods and they shake hands before Elijah leaves. We all head back to the boarding house to relax now that she is gone again.
