Kanji's POV
"Hmmm…" I stared out at the water.
Brandish was gone just as soon as she had arrived. Luckily for all the people she nearly wiped out some fishing boats were nearby and we commandeered them for a rescue.
She said she was one of Twelve and she looked like she could barely give a damn, what's she like when she's serious and what are the other eleven like? She shrank that island in the time it took me to blink, she did the same to that Marin guy, her magic power and massive strength are almost inconceivable. Mass shaping magic is high level stuff, it's not something you master like that without years and years of experience, but she looked to be in her early twenties. How is it possible for her to be so strong?
"We're leaving!" Mest grunted slamming his hands down and starting to teleport us.
"You shouldn't be using your magic." I said "You're too beat up."
"There's no time." He hissed as we were all zapped somewhere else.
"Don't just teleport people like that!" Carla snapped.
"Yay!" Wendy cheered.
"We're free!" Natsu cheered with her.
We're off the boat…but I've still got a bit of a headache.
"Where are we?" Michelle asked.
"We're underwater." Mest explained "I teleported us under the island."
"Look at all the fish!" Happy yelled looking out the window.
"How…what?" Carla asked confused.
"A house under the water?" Scruff added "This is strange."
"I got to the spy but the message was to come here." Mest explained.
"This is an odd meeting place." Erza sighed.
"There's no windows." Lucy said sticking her hand out "The water just stops."
"Look at me!" Natsu said sticking his head out the window.
"You really shouldn't do that." Wendy warned.
The whole room suddenly jerked forward and the floor started rumbling.
"Feels like we're moving." I said.
"What did you do?!" Carla yelled.
"It's not me." Mest said defensively.
I can feel it, this whole building just changed shape.
"We're moving!" Wendy and Natsu cried.
"Damn." I hissed "My head is pounding."
"Welcome!" a voice cheered.
"There's someone in here!" Lucy gasped shivering a bit.
"I'll protect you." Michelle said standing in front of Lucy.
The large stone throne at the back of the room suddenly spun around to reveal the pilot of our vessel.
"This is my moving temple Olympia!" Sorano cheered "And I'll be your captain for this trip!"
The woman was wearing a white feathery bikini that did not leave much to the imagination.
Is having feathers on a swimsuit like that even practical?
"Angel?!" Lucy yelled.
"You." Michelle glared.
"Why is she wearing a swimsuit?" Gray pondered.
"Probably because we're underwater." Carla sighed.
"Sir Gray please put your shorts back on." Scruff said.
"So you're the spy?" Happy asked.
"Yep!" Sorano said twirling around.
"Why didn't you send Erik?" I asked Mest "His ears make him good at this stuff."
"He was too much to handle." Mest sighed "He'd just have complained the whole time, and let's face it he doesn't really blend in with the scar and death glare of his."
"Good point." I sighed.
"This was a special favor since I owed Mest one." Sora said walking forward "Don't think this makes us all buddy-buddy okay."
She stopped by Erza "Oh how is that adorable little baby of yours?"
"She's great do you wanna see pictures?" my wife smiled.
"Oh show me, show me." Sorano bounced up and down.
"Totally not our friend got it." I sighed.
"Thanks for this, I guess." Lucy sighed.
"Hey…" Angel pulled at the connecting string of Lucy's bikini top "Don't you forget that I'm the one who killed Karen."
"Off." Michelle said grabbing Sora's hand.
"Hmph, I don't know if I'll ever get used to you having a mind of your own." The white-haired girl scoffed.
"You and I are not guild mates anymore." Michelle said "I can cut you down if I want to."
"You could always come say hello, I'm sure the others would miss you so much." Sorano giggled.
"That's enough girls." I said "Don't make me separate you."
"We're fine." Angel smirked "Just catching up with an old friend."
"Where are we going?" Wendy gagged.
"Straight to…hell." Natsu half barfed.
"Where we're going?" Sorano tapped her chin "Well that's easy, we're going to where Makarov is."
"You know where the old man is?" I asked.
"I'm very good at my job." she smirked "Although…"
"Although what?" Erza asked.
"I know where he is, but getting to him won't be easy." The spy frowned "He's in the capital of Alvarez."
"The Capital?"
"He's been waiting there to speak with Emperor Spriggan for some time now." Sorano explained "Not many people ever even see the Emperor so things have been soft on that front."
"Just get us there." I told her "We can deal with everything after that."
"Very well." Angel smiled.
Later
"We're not getting any closer." I said holding my arm out "It's too dangerous, everyone take a breather and leave me a second."
I sat down and placed my hands on the floor.
"Static Resonator!"
I pumped electricity through the dirt "It's too far I can't make anything out."
"GAHHH!" Carla suddenly grabbed her head.
"Carla?!"
"My head." She hissed "I see something."
Her head suddenly snapped "Someone is trying to kill the Master."
"RAH!" Mest suddenly phased out.
Dammit old man what are you doing?
"GAH!" Mest suddenly phased back in and dropped to the ground, dropping the old man with him.
"Master!"
"Old man!"
"Grandpa!"
He's still alive.
"Ha…ha…ha…" Mest was panting.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Zeref…was there?" he said.
"What?" I double checked "He's here, like on this continent?"
"The true name of Emperor Spriggan is Zeref." Gramps explained "I had no idea myself."
The danger level here just doubled.
"If you're here, I guess Mest has filled you in?" Gramps asked.
"You bet." I nodded.
"You're okay!" Wendy sobbed.
"It was foolish of me to think this would ever work." Gramps mumbled "He never planned to talk seriously from the start, after all this waiting and effort, it was all useless."
"No, you bought us a year." I said crossing my arms "That will count for something."
"We already got the guild back together." Lucy smiled.
"The heart behind one's actions is what matters." Erza smiled "You taught us that."
"Get up old man." I said reaching out "It's time for all of us to go home. There's people wanting to meet you."
"I hate to break up this reunion and all but we've gotta go." Carla explained.
"I'd like to teleport us all but I've used too much magic to get all of us back to Sorano's ship." Mest panted "We need to get closer before I can jump us all the distance we need.
"Oh leaving so soon Makarov?" a voice said "Did you buy souvenirs, I heard bobble heads are in this season."
I turned around and saw a man, he had tan skin and wild brown hair, judging by his outfit he was from a warm climate.
"Ajeel." Gramps gasped.
"How did he-?" Mest hissed.
"The sand." He explained "The land speaks volumes."
This guy feels just like Brandish, he's dangerous.
Everyone seemed pretty defensive, this guy was bad news and a surprise attack was gonna get us all killed.
"Don't fight him!" Gramps yelled "He's not someone you can handle."
"Everyone fall back." I instructed "I can get you few seconds head start."
"Kanji." Erza said worried.
"Relax I'm not gonna die." I smiled.
The others got a few feet before Ajeel lifted his arm.
"Lightning Dragon Laser Eyes!"
I shot the ground and kicked up dust before Ajeel jumped out with sand gathering.
"Take this."
I quickly slammed my palms down "Three Pillar Gods!"
Three statues erected in a triangle formation and blocked the attack, I quickly took the chance to jolt back to the Magic car.
"Punch it!"
Erza quickly peeled out and I slammed my hands on the roof "Supercharger!"
I pumped my electricity into the car to speed it up. Even at our speed we were covered by a shadow, Ajeel had already summoned a huge sand golem to chase us
"It's huge!" Lucy yelled.
"Thicket!"
Michelle caused a huge swath of thorn tendrils to sprout but they were instantly dried out when the monster touched them.
To make something this large so quickly, he's strong.
"I need a hand up here!" I yelled shooting down the rocks being hurled at us.
"Sorry." Lucy said crawling out the window and glowing "Star Dress: Sagittarius!"
"That second I bought you guys, I need you to pay it back now.." I told her.
In one swing of his arm Gray was able to freeze the monster, but Ajeel quickly rearranged the sand into bat like creatures.
"HNGH!" Lucy pulled back on her bow "Starlight Shot!"
A flurry of arrows flew by and blew the little creatures away.
"I'm ready!" I said opening my eyes.
"HRA!" Ajeel jumped out of the ground "Antlion's Pit!"
The car was sucked into a quicksand pit but not before I had jumped out.
"Thunder Giant!"
I cracked my knuckles as a large spectral giant covered in lighting appeared.
"Thor Bolt!"
Ajeel flipped back to avoid lightning strike and created another giant to grapple with mine.
"Nice, very nice!" he laughed "Listen since I'm about to kill you I should let you know that you never stood a chance, I eat punks like you for breakfast! Your land is finished, it was abandoned long ago! It's so frustrating I know, so just give up and die!"
"Lightning Dragon Roar!"
I suddenly made my giant vanish and blasted Ajeel with a bolt from my mouth.
"There's still strength left in this body; I'm not done fighting." I told him "I made a promise to protect the people I love, and now that I'm Master that extends to me whole guild, I will not let someone like you get in my way! It doesn't matter who abandons Ishgar, I love it so I'm protecting it!"
I jolted forward and slammed my head into his "Now get out of my way!"
My power is cranking up…
"HAA!" Ajeel reached out and started to melt the earth under me into sand.
"Kanji!"
"Dammit I can't move!" I hissed sinking deeper.
"HUH?!" the earth suddenly stopped and Ajeel was pinned "What is this stuff?!"
He was covered in orange fur.
*VROOM!*
"YEHAW!" A magi cycle suddenly flew out of the forest and the rider kicked it into Ajeel, sending him flying back.
"Sorry about that guy!"
"We're a little late."
My sister and Flare stepped out of the woods and Flare pulled her hair back.
"Seems like we made it right on time." Lauren smirked.
Flare was wearing her usual dress only now it was in black and covered a little more of her chest, her hair was out of its braids and seemed to be falling lower on her body. Lauren was wearing loose pants and a baggy shirt that was tied off under her chest (Juri from Street fighter's outfit.)
"Who the hell are you?" Ajeel hissed.
"Just a super sexy girl passing through." Lauren said appearing as light behind him and slamming her leg into his side "Solar Plexus Crush Kick!"
The man was sent flying in pain and Flare grabbed him out of the air with her locks before spinning her hair around and slamming him down.
"Don't underestimate me!" Ajeel screamed holding his hands up.
The ground rumbled and behind Ajeel a massive wave of sand appeared.
"The Sands will swallow you all!"
"Lauren get me up!" I yelled running over to her.
"Right!" she flipped onto her hands and brought her feet towards her chest.
I jumped onto her feet and crackled with lightning.
"Springboard Shot!"
Lauren flexed her legs and shot me into the sky.
Come on…
I tilted and T-posed in the air "Arc Lightning!"
A bolt of lightning shot through my arm and redirected towards the sand, blasting it away.
"You're timing was off!" I yelled "We almost all got mummified!"
"I made the shot!" Laxus yelled down "Jeez what did you do sleep the whole year?"
"You don't know the half of it!" I laughed as I hit the ground.
Laxus and a few of the others had arrived on the Blue Pegasus flying warship, it was great timing too, I had felt my Lacrima resonating a few minutes ago, so I had a feeling I knew who was coming.
"Mest get everyone up there now!" I yelled.
"Right!" he said focusing his magic.
"Flare go with them!" Lauren yelled.
"Okay."
"Can you two still keep up with the Master?" I asked pulling my hand back.
"I heard, since when are you such a big shot?" Lauren laughed doing the same.
"If it had to be anyone but me, I suppose you're good enough." Laxus said charging his fist.
"You're not going anywhere!" Ajeel yelled stirring up a twister of sand.
"Tri-Fold Laser!"
My siblings and I each shot off a powerful bolt of light and lightning that blasted the sand away and formed a new crater.
"Let's catch up." I said grabbing Lauren and jolting off towards the ship.
"It sucks that all the handsome ones are always evil." Lauren sighed.
There was a magic spike at the moment out attack hit, someone else showed up at the end...someone far more powerful than Brandish and Ajeel put together.
I dropped Lauren on the deck of the ship and she landed gracefully.
"Laxus fight me!" Natsu yelled.
"Go away." He sighed.
"Well that makes everyone one." I said sitting down "The whole squads here, the Fairy Tail Family! Now let's go home."
I'd like to say let's all go home like we used to…but after this with what's going to be coming, nothing will ever be the same again.
