Bold is for attacks
Kanji's POV
"How's it look?" I asked Warren sitting around the guildhall.
It was late, this was probably going to be the last night of peace before the Alvarez army was knocking on our doorstep, still I wanted to be prepared for an early attack. No one was really around at this hour, just Me, Gramps, Warren and Macao. Master Mavis was here before but she had gone off to explore the town a bit on her own.
"Nothing near here yet." he said looking at his Scanner map.
"Should we really trust that thing?" Macao asked.
"Hey I made it!" Warren snapped.
"Old people are always so afraid of new technology." I sighed.
"It would be better if we could pinpoint what direction they'd be coming from." Gramps said.
"Yep." I sighed "It's a pain."
"We could always try placing a diversion at the north and placing our main force at the south." Master Mavis suggested landing through the roof.
"First Master."
"I've just finished checking up on everyone." She smiled.
"And what did you think?" I asked.
"They're not the least bit worried." She said "But in a good way, because they feel strong."
"Really." I scoffed "I can't say I share their optimism, maybe I'm just more mature or something…Though given my position I suppose it's only natural for me to worry, right Gramps?"
"It's the job of the parent to stand in front of the child and protect them." He said.
"Sure thing." I hummed.
"Right!" Master Mavis smiled.
Before any of us could really continue the conversation, the floor vibrated a bit as the lanterns shook and the air rumbled.
"You feel that, too right?" I sighed.
"Warren the Radar?" Gramps asked.
"I don't know there are pips all over the place!" he yelled "I don't know how they got so close!"
"Get ready!" Master Mavis yelled "There above us!"
"They came by air." I hissed.
"There's like 50 ships!" Warren called out.
"Only 50?" I sighed "They're not taking us seriously yet, ring the bell get everyone up!"
I walked over to the window and looked out; Freed's barrier was already getting pelted with cannon shots, it was a good defense for now, still it won't hold forever…
"I'm surprised they sent such a small preemptive force." I blinked "I would have figured they'd just try and run us over with everything in one swoop, alright commence the attack!"
I'm counting on you Bisca…
I felt a magic flux and saw a massive laser blast by. The plan in case they arrived by air was to use Phantom Lord's old Jupiter Cannon to blast the ships out of the sky. The beam shot out but deflected off the main ship, protecting it.
Someone blocked it, still a few of the smaller ships got clipped.
"Hmm…" I leaned on the wall and saw the main ship get split in two "Alright Erza, be careful, I believe in you."
I know you can do this…I want to come run and help you but…
"There's a crack in the Barrier." Warren noted.
"Impossible, someone put a hole in Freed's rune trap?" I mumbled "A nullification magic?"
"There's someone in the streets!" Master Mavis warned "Everyone needs to get ready!"
I refuse to be cornered like a damn rat!
Lauren's POV
"Corkscrew Kick!"
I jumped off a roof and spun before kicking one of the soldiers that had slipped in the barrier.
"Hair Shower: Firefly Flames!"
Flare shook her head and singed and burned the men.
"There numbers are pretty unbelievable." Gray noted "They just keep on coming."
"There were more during the battle with Avatar." Juvia noted.
"They weren't this strong." Gray countered.
"MAN!" Elfman slammed two of the men down "Need a hand?"
"HYA!" Lisanna also flew in kicked a man with her magical talons.
"They don't seem keen on stopping." Mira noted palming the soldiers back.
"It's chaos down here." I growled kicking a few men back.
"Chaos is merely order waiting to be deciphered" A voice said.
"Huh?"
Suddenly all the men stopped moving.
"This is my order." The voice said "All of you lay down your weapons and flee."
Responding in perfect motion all the men dropped their staves and swords before running away like cowards.
"This magic…" Mira noted looking up.
"Chaos was the law of nature; Order was the dream of man." A girl said sitting on the roof reading.
She was curvy, had long black hair, two golden horns on the sides of her head and was wearing some sort of skimpy robes.
"Seilah!" Mira growled.
"Oh, hello." The girl snapped her book shut and jumped down "How do you do?"
"What are you doing here?" Elfman asked "You should be dead."
"Why are you helping us?" Lisanna asked the girl.
"My Father and Jellal received a message from Miss Erza. My past is behind me, I seek to live the life I was never given before. I will fulfill my Mother's dream by standing at my Father's side." She noted "I thought it prudent to come assist you myself. My Macro is perfect for dealing with large crowds of nameless buffoons. Oh dear it appears some resisted my Commands how troublesome, given my time with Crime Sorciere my Curse power has weakened."
I looked back and saw a strange frog like man walk through the crowd. He had a round head, and his hair was pointed up in a single spike. His outfit consisted of tight pants, a black jacket and a scarf.
"Macro." The man noted "One of the demon spells I see. It seems a toy has left the emperor's playpen."
"I am no toy." Seilah glared before raising her hand "Now bow to me…Huh…I-I can't order him!"
"What?!" Mira yelled.
"His body, it won't respond at all, my Macro doesn't work?!" Seilah gasped "What are you?"
