Lauren's POV

"The sandstorm is subsiding." Flare pointed out.

"Finally." Gray groaned.

For a few minutes a raging storm of course, sand blew through the streets of town, making it impossible to see and almost impossible to properly breath.

"I see…so that's why it didn't work." Seilah noted.

"What didn't work?" I asked.

"Macro cannot command something like that." She gestured to the enemies before us.

We were now face to face with about a dozen mechanized warriors.

"You should be cautious." She said "I will not be able to help you against these foes."

"They're coming!" Elfman warmed.

One of the men ran up and punched Juvia but she broke into water.

"Such an attack will not work on Juvia." She smirked "Huh?"

The robot's arm clicked open and let of a blast of steam, burning Juvia.

"AHH!"

One of the robot's slid in front of Gray and engulfed itself in fire, ignoring the ice attack he was trying to use.

"This one's too fast!" Elfman yelled.

"And this one is hard as a rock!" Lisanna hissed rubbing her paw.

"Sun Dragon's Laser!"

I let off a beam at one of the bots and as soon as it got close its metallic skin got even shinier.

"DUCK!" I warned.

The beam connected only to bounce right back off.

"It turned into a mirror!" I warned "My attacks literal bounce off!"

"WAH!" Flare gasped pulling her hair back "Too close…"

I looked over and saw one of the bots was now sporting massive scissors and saws that would chew up and grind Flare's hair, and her, to bits.

"They've countered at each turn." Seilah noted "It's as if these were custom made for all of you."

The demon girl turned to the commanding member of the army.

"Your magic is Weakness correct?" She asked "You are able to construct soldiers that match the short comings of your opposition."

"Yes." He nodded "I'll leave my soldiers to you, I have other things to deal with, like the slaughter of the one creating that Rune Barrier."

With one jump that guy lept halfway across the city.

What the hell is that guy!

"Freed." I hissed jumping back from the soldier I couldn't attack.

"Good he's gone." Seilah noted "Now we can defeat them."

"How is it good he's gone? Freed and the others are in danger." Mira asked.

"Now that he's gone, we don't have to worry about him countering us by buffing these Soldiers. You will have to trust the others on their own for now" The girl explained raising a hand "This is my order!"

"All of you are to trade opponents!" She commanded.

The world warped slightly and we all traded placed until I was staring down what had been Lisanna's foe.

"Hard as a rock huh?" I smirked.

I spun in place and drilled my heel into its chest, shattering the core.

"Sun Dragon Style: Super High Heel!"

I sent the robot flying with a single kick. I looked around and saw Flare was easily smashing the Robot that shot steam and Juvia had no issues with the Scissor bot.

"Well then, seems their weakness was obvious from page one." Seilah sighed "What a sad cliche."

"We held them off for now." I smiled "But there's still a lot left to do."

?'s POV

"AHAHAHAHA!"

"That laugh is disgusting." I growled "Knock it off, you're ruining the sound of the lovely waves."

I looked out at the ocean as the ship rocked gently along the waves.

I sighed "How nostalgic, it's been so long since I heard the sounds of the waves in Fiore."

"AHAHA! That was way better than I thought!" Wall screeched "So the machines just won't be enough HUH?!"

He stood up and gave a sinister smile "They took down Ajeel and captured Brandish, this is actually kinda fun!"

"HmHmHm." I snickered "Randi got captured? I hope they don't have too much fun with her. That girl is strong but her youth will end up being her downfall."

"These Fairy Tail guys really have it in them." Wall laughed.

"I told you as much." I said sitting on the railing "after all…three of them have my blood in them."

"I'll blow them away now!" he laughed "I just can't wait!"

"There's still 400 Kilometers to go." I smirked "You can't make a shot like that."

"Fuck you I can!" he screamed charging up and letting off a blast of energy "Super Anti-Material Magic Cannon!"

The beam blasted out and screeched towards Magnolia only to fade out as it got close.

"You missed." I smirked.

"What the hell." He growled.

"Ah well it's probably for the best." I walked off "It would be sad if you killed them all without us getting to meet…"

"Fiore, my home away from home." I smiled at the horizon "I'll see you soon, my sweet babies."
