A soft plitter platter came from outside as Donna looked through the window to see someone, wet and pacing back and forth. It was her husband. Her heart sank, she hadn't seen him in 2 weeks. Donna had taken a personal leave after a week of attempting to work alongside and avoid Harvey. They had a horrible fight in which Donna revealed she was pregnant and Harvey revealed that he didn't want kids She opened the door and he stopped dead in his tracks.
Before he could say anything, Donna began, "What are you doing, Harvey? It's late and there's a reason why I've been ignoring you."
"I-" he stopped. He took a deep breath, "Donna, you know I don't care about that 'love songs in the rain' bullshit but I'm here right now. I'm here to tell you I love you," he professed.
"Bullshit. If you loved me then you wouldn't have waited 3 weeks to say anything," she argued.
"I called you a dozen times!" He appealed,
"No, you had your assistant call me a dozen times!" she refuted.
"Dammit, Donna! Yes, I had my assistant call you. Because I couldn't handle the thought that I caused the hurt in your voice, " His voice began to break as his eyes became glassy. "I'm sorry. That's why I'm here. Because I am so sorry. I don't care about anything or anyone else. I quit the firm today." he declared.
She was flabbergasted, "W-what!? Harvey, you can't-"
"I can and I did. I did it because I want this kid with you. When I told you we were going to be together forever; I meant it. Donna Roberta Paulsen, I love you with all my heart and even though I think people who do what I'm doing right now are stupid, I don't care." he exclaimed. He walked over and clasped his hands around hers. "I love you. I want this kid with you. I want to spend Sundays playing catch with them and pick them up from school and show them the world with you. I'm sorry it took me so long to realize it but I want kids, and I want them with you." He smirked. Hearing this made her heart melt, it was a declaration of love, something she never thought that anyone- especially Harvey Reginald Specter - would do. She bit her lip and squeezed his hands just a bit. They stared intently into each other's eyes. After what felt like too long, Donna grabbed his face and placed her gentle lips on his, breaking apart to say, "Took you long enough."
