Kanji's POV

"Hmm." I stared down at Acnologia as he walked over Irene, stomping out whatever life she had left.

"All of you run, now." I didn't even turn around.

"Kanji…" Erza paused.

"NOW!" I yelled aiming an attack.

"Useless!" Acnologia batted the shot away.

I've used too much magic constantly fighting, I just don't have anything left in me.

"I'm sick of dealing with you." He glared and charged right at me "Four of you gathering like gnats, how nice!"

"Acnologia!" I roared at him but he just charged right through it.

"DIE!"

I can't do anything more; I just don't have the strenght to keep fighting at this level. He blows through all my spells and attacks, I can't beat someone like this…I'm going to die.

I saw his hand right in front of my face, he was going to gore through me like he had with Serena.

*CLICK*

I heard a strange noise and suddenly Acnologia was thrown in another direction.

"What?" he growled getting up "Grr, the Black Mage and his little lackies are becoming just as annoying as the Dragon Slayers."

"I'm not just gonna stand there and watch when you say you're gonna kill my kids." Mom glared.

"Time magic." Acnologia got up and appeared behind her "It won't work again!"

"BLEH!" Mom coughed as her side was ripped into.

"MOM!"

"RAHH!" I summoned the Thunder Giant and threw a punch at him but he swung back and bounced it off.

"This guy is Acnologia?!" Lauren yelled.

"I came for the Dragon slayers but I think I think I can exterminate you all!" he said charging a blast "DIE!"

"I can't block this attack, I can't win…I can't protect anyone!" I yelled as Acnologia threw off a blast.

"Why are you giving up, that's not like you at all!" someone landed before us and put up a golden shield "You're in such a state it's almost sad."

"…Jellal." I looked up.

"Heavenly body Magic: Pleiades!" Jellal shot off a series of light arrowed.

"Stop trying to do everything alone!" he told me "You have allies don't you?!"

"Hmph, being saved by you, I don't know why…" I suddenly felt recharged "But that really pisses me off! "RAGING BOLT!"

"Seven Star Sword: Grand Chariot!"

"Super Nova Beam!"

Four energy attacks slammed into Acnologia, kicking up an immense amount of dust and debris.

"HAHAHA!" Acnologia simply laughed and absorbed the magic from the attacks like it was nothing.

"Impossible." I growled "What the hell is this guy's power?"

"He can eat anything?" Wendy yelled.

"RAAAH!" Acnologia suddenly transformed in front of us, roaring with intimidating power.

"Magic is useless against him?" I mumbled.

"This guy's undefeatable?" Lauren mumbled.

"No, we can't give up!" Wendy yelled "Cause he's a dragon, and we're dragon slayers!"

"You'll die first!" Acnologia was about to bring a claw down on her.

"WENDY!"

Before he could connect though a massive flying ship slammed into his side, running aground and dragging Acnologia a bit.

"The Christina?!" I yelled.

The side panel opened up and Ichiya appeared.

"Quickly, get on!" he said "With this we can draw his attention away from the town!"

"Ichiya…"

Jellal was right, I'm trying to do too much by myself, running all over the battlefield, fighting every strong opponent, I want to protect my friends, my family…but I don't have to fight for their safety all by myself.

"Alright get us out of here." I said getting on.

"Come on you're coming too." Lauren dragged Mom on "You're not dying yet."

"Sorry…" she groaned "Your Mother is being quiet a burden."

"I don't know about that." I said "You did kinda just save me."

"Kanji…" she smiled.

"RAHH!" Acnologia threw the ship off of him and started preparing to attack again.

"Time to go!" Laxus said.

"We'll take Acnologia to a certain place." Ichiya said "A place he can be beaten."

"How do you know that?" Lauren asked "And I swear to god if you say you're the secret perfume dragon slayer I will hit you."

"It's possible." A woman's voice said walking towards us.

I looked over and saw this woman, she looked like Lucy, only much older, like grandmother old.

Before we even got a chance to talk the whole ship turned sharply to avoid an attack, throwing us all around.

"Jeez drive a bit safer!" I yelled.

"Hey wait a minute." Lauren said "This is a ship but I don't feel all that sick."

"You never feel sick in motion." I mumbled.

"Not true." She snapped "It usually makes my joints sore."

"That's so much easier than motion sickness or headaches!" Laxus, Wendy and I yelled.

"This ship was built with Dragon Slayers in mind." The woman explained "Are you alright Wendy?"

She knows Wendy's name?

"Hmm, she's right I feel okay." Wendy nodded looking at the woman as we dodged more attacks "You're…"

"Anna-sensei?!" she gasped.

"Sensei?!"

"I'm the ancestor of your friend Lucy." She explained "Or something like that at least."

"You know with all the weird stuff happening in this battle in terms of families I'm not even gonna question it." I sighed.

"Is what you said about beating Acnologia true?" Harver asked landing through the window.

"I was wondering when you'd show up." I said.

"It will take some explaining." She said looking at Wendy "You've gotten very big Wendy."

"I don't understand…" Wendy blinked.

"400 years ago I was the person that taught Wendy, Natsu and the others how to read." She explained "I came to this time through the Eclipse Gate with the dragons in order to finally defeat Acnologia. There was no way to defy him 400 years ago so the dragons entrusted their hope to the future, a future where they'd enter the bodies of Dragon Slayers and come to this age."

"Grandeeney said that too." Wendy nodded.

"This age overflows with magic power and strong mages." Anna said "The one who built the Eclipse Gates was Zeref, he was always interested in time, more so the future than the past. We were able to connect to this era when Layla opened the gate on this side."

"Lucy's mother?"

"I explained the situation, I needed to go with them as caretaker, they were still just children." Anna added "But when the gate opened everyone became separated. It took me five years to find all of you, Wendy, Gajeel, Natsu, Sting and Rogue but when I saw how you were all living in this time I thought it wasn't right to make contact with you, you were all pure innocent children living life and finding your own happiness."

"While searching for you I found this…thing." Anna continued "A power so remarkably huge and dangerous, calling it a power wouldn't even be right it's more of a universal law, A Time-lapse, we can use it to seal Acnologia in emptiness, a magic of nothingness I found this magic, a Ravine of Time. Time was distorted when we arrived here."

"The very concept of time became warped by time travel." Mom said as Jenny helped bandage her side "It both broke down and evolved in an attempt to patch the hole you created in it. A Time-lapse, a Ravine in the very existence of time, I thought it was only a legend."

"So we lead Acnologia to this whole in time and trap him?" I asked.

"How has such a thing remained hidden?" Jellal asked.

"Yeah I would think a gap in the very fabric of space time would be pretty obvious." Harver added.

"I kept it a secret, and since it's only about the size of an orange it tends to be ignored, but if you were to even touch it you'd cease to exist in a second once you are sucked in you cannot escape." Anna said.

"A hole the size of an orange." I looked out a window.

"How are we gonna fit that thing in there?" Lauren said.

"The plan is simple we take a detour around it and let Acnologia follow the straight path through it." Ichiya explained "He only needs to touch it."

"I'd say it sounds too easy but it's the only idea we've got." I sighed.

I don't know if anyone had much more to say, we simply sat in silence waiting to get closer.

"Kanji…" Erza looked at me.

"Relax, I'm not afraid." I told her "We'll get through this because Ellie is waiting for us to come home."

"Hmm." She nodded.

"We're here." Ichiya said "Make the maneuver!"

We slipped around the hole in space and just as expected Acnologia took the straight path, when you're as big as an island I doubt he even saw the thing in front of him.

"RAHH!" He suddenly reached out and grabbed the ship.

"HE FLEW THROUGH IT?!"

"No the Ravine…closed?!" Anna gasped.

"How?" I yelled as the whole ship rocked from Acnologia grabbing on.

"The ship's gonna be torn apart at this rate!" Lauren yelled.

"Ichiya, break the Equilibrium Lacrima!" Erza said "Acnologia is a Dragon Slayer too!"

"RIGHT!" He punched right through the device.

"UGH!" I grabbed my head as a pulsing headache ripped through me.

"GRRAA!" Acnologia suddenly lost strenght and let the ship go.

"What do we do now?" Jellal asked.

"We'll have to rip it back open." Anna said.

"Hmm, well then it's a good thing I'm here." Mom smiled "I am the Vessel for the God of Time."

"You can't escape me!" Acnologia roared "As long as you have dragons with you I will chase you to the ends of the earth! Dragons…AREN'T NEEDED IN THIS WORLD!"

"But why, what happened to this man?" I mumbled "To become a dragon yet despise dragons, he lives in a state of anger and contradiction, how can someone…be so full of hate?"

"I think I can pry the ravine open." Dimaria said "But it'll take me some time."

"That's fine." Jellal said.

"We'll buy you as much as we can." Harver added.

Pick Up- Chapter 534

Extra note I went back and fixed a lot of the old chapters, correcting spelling and grammar issues, making it clearer who was talking, etc. I also fixed up some names like correcting all the Chelia to Sherria and other name mistakes.

I also went back and added a few extra lines here and there to better tease the Dimaria situation as well as giving her scene at the end of Chapter 133 a bit more dialog and time to flesh out.

I'm thinking next chapter will be the final fight with Acnologia and then after that the Party/Celebration epilogue.

After that…maybe some fluff and then 100 Year Quest, we'll see.
