Hey, everyone! Here is the twenty-second chapter to Saint Seiya Omega: Exceed. Wadd battles within his own emotions in trying to kill Kouga. Taking place right after the last chapter. Hope you enjoyed it.
Chapter 22: Deadly Pinch! Wadd the Messiah!
There were several demons flowing through Wadd's mind.
If he doesn't do his mission in killing Kouga; Izure will surely noticed that Wadd had failed Al-Quam.
Wadd's snakes then immediately saw his tension.
"I know I shouldn't stress about all of this, guys. But, what other choice do I have?" Wadd asked.
Wadd then looked within his palm.
"I have to kill him. If I don't...If I don't, then everything I am prepared to do will be for nothing." Wadd stated.
Wadd's own emotions began to rile onto him.
Much later; Yuna and Aria had heard a knock on the chandelier.
It was none other than Kouga himself.
Aria had a wide smile on her face.
"Kouga!" Aria chirped.
Aria warmly hugged Kouga.
Kouga returned the gesture.
Yuna warmly smiled at her boyfriend.
"This is a real surprise, Kouga." Yuna stated.
Kouga simply scratched his head.
"I thought that I could steal Aria for a bit." Kouga confessed.
Yuna immediately read Kouga's gesture as she smiled.
"Alright. You can 'steal' Aria for a bit, Kouga. Remember that I am next on your list for our alone time, sweetie." Yuna explained.
Yuna then pecked onto Kouga's cheek.
Kouga began to blush afterwards.
"We've got at least 41 hours left before everything falls into despair. So, let's make some happy moments while we can, Aria." Kouga stated.
Aria nodded her head in agreement.
"Right, Kouga." Aria said.
Kouga and Aria immediately headed out as Yuna watched in rather proud fashion.
Kouga and Aria then bumped into Eden.
"Eden. I-I was just going to have some quality time with Kouga if that's alright with you." Aria stated.
Eden nodded his head at Aria.
"Of course it is, Aria." Eden conceded.
Eden then deeply glanced at Kouga.
"You better take good care of your sister, Kouga." Eden warned.
Kouga then smirked.
"O f course I will! No need to worry, Eden!" Kouga hollered.
Eden immediately took Kouga's word into account.
"How do you feel about ice cream, Aria?" Kouga asked.
Aria then began to ponder a little bit.
"Ice cream?" Aria asked.
Aria then gracefully smiled at her brother.
"I would love some, Kouga." Aria replied.
Kouga nodded at Aria. Immediately granting her wish.
"Ice cream it is." Kouga stated.
Therefore, Kouga and Aria went to get some ice cream.
Eden then headed inside of the parliament hut. Where Yuna was.
"I taken that you were okay with those two having their quality sibling time, Eden?" Yuna asked.
Eden smirked.
"Yeah. As long as Kouga doesn't do anything stupid by his standards." Eden replied, strengthening his black glove containing his Orion Superior Clothstone.
Yuna began to giggle to herself.
"It may not seem like it at first glance, but; both Kouga and Aria had a huge impact on all of us. They've changed our entire lives for the greater good." Yuna explained.
Eden then sat beside Yuna.
"Huh. Never thought of it that way." Eden commented.
Yuna then smirked slightly.
"Well, what more proof do you need, Eden?" Yuna asked.
Eden began to smile regardless.
Kouga and Aria were still enjoying their quality sibling time. Munching onto rocky road and vanilla ice cream respectively.
"How's your ice cream, Aria?" Kouga asked.
Aria then nibbled onto her vanilla ice cream.
"It's really delicious, Kouga." Aria replied.
Kouga simply smiled at his sister's response.
Kouga then looked upon the sky.
"After what we both had to experienced; we needed this." Kouga stated.
Aria then warmly nodded her head.
Aria began to look upon the sky as well.
"Yes." Aria said.
Aria remained quiet.
"Saori-san is doing fine, right, Kouga?" Aria asked.
Kouga wasn't sure, but, he gave Aria a sign of reassurance.
"Saori-san should be fine, Aria. Count on it." Kouga replied.
Aria gracefully smiled at her brother, deeply admiring him and his kindness.
Kouga and Aria's hands began to gently touch. Resonating their Cosmo.
This immediately brought a lot of memories for both Kouga and Aria.
"This brings the nostalgia memories, right, Kouga?" Aria asked, smiling.
Kouga simply smiled.
"Yeah. Nostalgia is the right word, Aria." Kouga replied.
Kouga felt embarrassed afterwards.
"You're the only family besides Yuna, everyone else, Shaina-san and Saori-san that I have ever known, Aria. I want to protect you from harm's way." Kouga confessed.
Aria simply smiled at her brother.
"You've already done so, Kouga. I will always remain grateful to you. The bond we have as siblings; I think that's a lifetime." Aria commented, blushing.
Kouga nodded his head.
"Let's faced the unknown together, Aria. No matter what the stakes. That bastard Al-Quam will have to bow down to our bond." Kouga stated.
Aria felt a bit sleepy.
"Our bond is strong, Kouga. I'm really glad that we're siblings, Kouga." Aria reassured.
Aria then gracefully placed her head onto Kouga's shoulder, with a pleasant smile on her face.
Kouga then noticed Aria calmly sleeping on his shoulder.
"Better get you back to the others. Yuna and Eden might be getting worried by now." Kouga explained.
Kouga then gently lift Aria onto his shoulders.
"You don't have to worry anymore, Aria. Or even be afraid. I'm here. We'll always be together." Kouga reassured.
Aria, while still asleep, gripped onto Kouga's hand.
"Always." Aria commented, speaking within her dream.
Kouga simply smiled at Aria.
Up above a market rooftop; Wadd felt rather confused and conflicted.
Kouga and Aria managed to return to their friends; where the eight Bronze Saints, their heart and soul of their group and their three younger friends decided to take a little nap before heading out.
Wadd then quietly approached Kouga.
Wadd then took out a large red dagger.
Wadd's pet snakes began to look on.
Wadd began to take a breather.
"Alright. Let's get this over with." Wadd stated.
Wadd slowly raised the dagger within his grip.
Yuna was half-awake seeing Wadd.
"Wadd-kun?" Yuna asked.
Wadd immediately hid away the dagger.
"Hey, Yu-chan. I-I was looking for the bathroom." Wadd fibbed.
Wadd sheepishly smiled.
Yuna felt confused by Wadd's behavior.
"It's to the left. Sachi-chan is coming out." Yuna advised.
Wadd immediately hurried to the bathroom.
Yuna felt troubled afterwards.
Wadd then bumped into Sachi, who had just exited the bathroom.
"Whoops. Hey, Wadd-kun." Sachi greeted.
Wadd pretended that leakage was flowing through his body.
"Heading out?" Wadd asked.
Sachi smiled as she handed Wadd a glass of water.
"You might need this. You know, to keep the urine in." Sachi stated.
Sachi then was on her way back to sleep.
"Don't take too long, okay?" Sachi asked, waving to Wadd.
Wadd sheepishly grinned as he quickly headed into the bathroom once Sachi had made her leave.
Wadd began to look upon the mirror.
Wadd's own emotions began to dwell up. Full of inner conflict.
"No more slip-ups. This time for sure." Wadd flattered.
After a few minutes within the bathroom; Wadd decided to try again.
"Okay. Okay. Here we go for real this time." Wadd thought.
Wadd immediately reached for the dagger he had earlier.
Wadd felt dreaded.
Something began to ache inside of him.
Wadd then dashed off in a hurry.
Yuna began to wake up as she couldn't actually sleep.
Aria immediately noticed as she became rather concerned for her friend.
"Yuna? Is everything alright?" Aria asked.
Yuna then slightly blushed.
"It's nothing. No need to worry, Aria." Yuna reassured.
Yuna became rather quiet.
"It's just that I think I had saw Wadd-kun with a dagger earlier." Yuna confessed.
Aria became confused.
"I think he was trying to kill Kouga." Yuna admitted.
Aria became rather shocked afterwards.
Yuna became sorrowful as the thought of Kouga being dead will haunt both her and Aria.
Yuna then tried to put out a smile on her face for Aria's sake.
"Speaking of which, where is Kouga?" Yuna asked.
Aria then pulls away Kouga's bed sheets.
Kouga was nowhere to be found.
Yuna and Aria both share an equal level of devastation.
"We've got some trouble! The girls are nowhere around here!" Sachi announced.
Souma then lit up some fire.
"We're heading towards a danger zone" Souma declared.
Emma then works up on her self-esteem.
"W-we have to make sure that nothing bad happens or disaster might come up." Emma proclaimed.
Haruto and Ryuho saw some footprints.
"Footprints. Heavy too." Haruto admitted.
Ryuho then saw something in the clear distance.
"They lead towards that cliff." Ryuho stated.
Aria became rather scared.
Yuna then immediately consulted her close female friend in the way she could.
"Don't worry about a thing, Aria. We'll find Kouga. That is a promise. I know how much you cherished him." Yuna reassured.
Aria warmly smiled.
"Just like you, Yuna." Aria commented.
Yuna then slightly blushed.
"Well, can't argue there on that one." Yuna commented.
Yuna and Aria then shared a little laugh.
Eden then approached Yuna and Aria.
"Aria. You're going to need this." Eden stated, extending Aria her staff.
Aria then warmly accepted Eden's gesture as she grabbed hold of her staff.
Aria then smiled at Eden and Yuna as well as the others.
"Let's go find my brother, Raki, Selene and Reina." Aria declared.
Wadd had taken an unconscious Kouga to where the cliff area was at.
"Alright. No more mistakes." Wadd stated.
Wadd then threw a huge batch of sandpaper to get Kouga's attention.
Kouga began to awake.
"God, sandpaper! Someone should warn me when doing that!" Kouga barked.
Kouga spat out the many loads of sandpaper from his mouth.
Kouga then strongly gazed at Wadd.
Kouga became rather confused.
"Wadd?" Kouga asked.
Wadd then heard footsteps.
"Kouga!" Raki and Selene hollered in unison.
Raki, Selene and Reina were on their way towards Kouga.
Wadd was inevitably down on his luck.
"Sorry if there is any sort of traction." Wadd apologized.
Wadd then causally engaged a barrier at the three younger girls.
Reina became increasingly frightened.
Reina's emotions then flared up increasingly.
Undergoing a new state altogether.
Wadd had taken noticed.
"I see now. It all makes sense." Wadd confirmed.
Raki and Selene took a short glance at Reina.
"Reina? A metahuman?" Raki and Selene asked in unison.
Reina then lost consciousness as she reverted back to her normal state.
The Bronze Saints and Aria have arrived in the nick of time.
"What in the hell is going on?" Souma asked.
Yuna then approached Kouga.
"Yuna." Kouga said.
Yuna simply caressed Kouga's face.
Kouga and Yuna then engaged in a strong embrace.
"I'm just glad that you're alright, Kouga." Yuna confessed.
Yuna then had tears of joy.
The Bronze Saints then focused their attention toward Wadd.
Wadd then revealed his dagger.
Kouga and the others were in deep turmoil afterwards.
"You better explained what the actual hell is going on, Wadd-kun! Or else, we'll force it out of you!" Sachi declared.
The omen of Wadd was dead-on d quiet but rather deadly.
"Wadd-san?" Emma asked.
Wadd then maliciously laughed.
"Looks like the cats out of the bag." Wadd proclaimed.
Wadd's pet snakes then became fueled with dark power.
Giving Wadd a new outlook on life.
Wadd then sport a rather wicked smile.
The Bronze Saints were caught off-guard.
"Nothing will stop me." Wadd confessed.
Wadd then created a huge barreled on the Bronze Saints.
Wadd then slaughtered Eden, Souma, Sachi, Emma, Ryuho and Haruto.
In that order, no less.
Yuna then blocked Wadd's way.
"I beg of you, Wadd-kun. Don't hurt Kouga." Yuna pleaded.
Yuna then unleashed a powerful kick straight at Wadd.
However, Wadd grabbed hold of Yuna's legs as he threw her overboard.
Wadd was set on his mission.
"Spare Kouga, Wadd-kun…" Yuna cried.
Just in the nick of time; Aria managed to block Wadd's crusade with her staff.
Yuna, Eden and the other Bronze Saints were quite proud with Aria's accomplishment.
"Please. Don't go through with this, Wadd-san." Aria pleaded.
Aria then had a tear in her eye.
Yuna and Eden immediately noticed the gesture of Aria.
"Aria..." Yuna muttered.
Aria was still crying.
"Kouga…Kouga is very important to me. He's the best brother that someone like me could ever ask for." Aria conceded.
Aria then gently lowered down her staff.
"Apart from Eden, Yuna and my friends; Kouga is the only family that I have left. I would rather have my brother in my life than not having him at all." Aria commented.
Kouga felt rather proud with Aria. Like a brother should be.
"Aria..." Kouga said.
Kouga and Aria then warmly clasped onto each other's hand.
Aria then gave Kouga a gentle smile afterwards.
Yuna remained rather happy for her boyfriend and close friend.
Aria hoped if her words had reached Wadd.
The Bronze Saints then circled around Wadd.
Wadd then gritted his teeth.
"Stop your crusade, Wadd!" Eden declared.
Wadd then glanced at his dagger.
"What are you waiting for?" Souma asked.
Wadd remained subtle.
"Wadd!" Haruto barked.
Wadd's inner thoughts were slipping away.
"Wadd-kun!" Ryuho and Sachi pleaded in unison.
Wadd felt he was trapped within a void.
"W-Wadd-san…" Emma muttered.
Yuna then approached Wadd in the most polite manner.
"Wadd-kun." Yuna begged.
Somewhere over the horizon; Izure was observing the entire thing.
Hoping that Wadd would eventually slipped.
Wadd's pet snakes then observed their master with great concern.
Wadd then glanced at his dagger.
Wadd began to glance at the Bronze Saints with remorse.
Wadd then heavily glanced at Kouga and Aria.
"I…I can't do it." Wadd declared.
Wadd then slammed his dagger into the ground.
"I can't do it! I won't do it! I can't hurt my friends!" Wadd shouted.
Wadd began to scream frantically.
Wadd then went onto his knees.
With a dash of lucrative tears.
The Bronze Saints and Aria became rather concerned about Wadd.
Raki and Selene then shared their concerns as well.
"Wadd..." Kouga muttered.
Then, a stroke of red lightning blasted through Wadd.
Eden, Yuna, Souma, Ryuho, Haruto, Sachi, Emma, Raki and Selene became surprisingly stunned at best.
Aria became extremely devastated.
"Wadd!" Kouga screamed.
Wadd then landed to the ground.
The Bronze Saints plus Aria along immediately rushed to Wadd's aide.
"Are you alright, Wadd-kun?" Sachi asked.
Wadd felt rather weak.
"Not really. I kind of expected this." Wadd replied.
Wadd and his pet snakes were coughing out chokes of blood.
"I have a confession. I was sent by Izure-sama of the Ifrits to dispose of Kou-kun." Wadd confessed.
Wadd then tried to smile.
"I ended up backing away." Wadd stated.
Yuna nodded her head.
"What matters is that you had done the right thing in the end and that's all it counts." Yuna commented.
Seeing Wadd in a terrible position has reminded Aria of the terrible outcome that tragically sealed her fate two years ago.
Wadd then gazed at Kouga and Aria.
"I could see why though. The bond and love that Kou-kun and Aria-chan have for each other as siblings had shown me otherwise." Wadd explained.
Aria felt otherwise grateful towards Wadd.
"Thank you truly, Wadd-san. For not taking away my brother." Aria complied.
Kouga and Aria then gently grasped their hands together.
"Hey, Kou-kun. Promise me something..." Wadd requested.
Kouga nodded his head.
"Anything." Kouga said.
Wadd could feel his life slipping away.
"Just do whatever you can to protect this world and never lose sight on what's important." Wadd advised.
Yuna then placed her hand onto Kouga's shoulder.
"I promised, Wadd." Kouga affirmed.
Wadd then weakly smiled.
The eyes of both Wadd and his snakes went completely blank.
Kouga's group then shed some tears.
Soon after the demise of Wadd and his snakes; Kouga and Aria decided to rightfully honor them by giving them tombstones.
Aria then gently patted onto the ground soil and immediately rinsed off her hands with water.
Kouga and Aria then calmly gripped onto each other's hand for moral support.
"Why must there will always be fighting and suffering, Kouga?" Aria asked.
Aria then quietly went into tears.
"I don't know, Aria. This ongoing cycle is wrong." Kouga replied.
Kouga expressed his anger.
"Those bastards will pay." Kouga declared.
Then, Raki received a telekinetic vibe.
"I just got a word from Kiki-sama. Kiki-sama, Seiya-san, Saori-san and the others have found the hideout of the Ifrits." Raki confirmed.
Kouga and Aria slightly froze upon hearing Saori's name dropped.
Regardless, the siblings were glad to be reunited with their foster mother soon.
The news became rather relief to the Bronze Saints, Selene and Reina.
"Well, that's something to be excited for." Sachi proclaimed.
Raki then pondered a bit.
"I think it's safe to say that we at least 21 hours left." Raki concluded.
Yuna then approached Kouga and Aria.
"What's our next move, Kouga?" Yuna asked.
Aria then expressed her worries with her brother.
"Whatever you decide, I'll support you all the way." Yuna commented.
Kouga then heavily glared at Wadd's tombstone.
"We have to take the fight to them. We can't let Wadd's sacrifice be in vain." Kouga declared.
Aria greatly smiled at her brother.
Yuna became rather proud with Kouga's words.
Yuna began to blush.
Once again, admiring Kouga.
"You're right, Kouga. We can't let Wadd-kun down." Yuna stated.
Kouga and Yuna then joined hands and blushed at one another.
Eden then walked by Aria's side.
"Stay by side. Please, Eden?" Aria asked.
Eden nodded his head.
"Of course I will, Aria. You don't need to ask." Eden replied.
Eden and Aria then held hands.
Aria then reached for Kouga's other hand.
"We're finally going to see Saori-san again, Kouga." Aria said.
Kouga then nodded at his sister.
"Yeah. We are, Aria." Kouga affirmed.
Kouga and Aria smiled at one another.
Yuna deeply smiled at both her boyfriend and dearest friend.
Aria's staff then pointed towards right.
"A-Aria-san's staff is pointing right." Emma pointed out.
Aria then glanced at her staff.
"Whatever this means, we can face it together." Aria assured.
The Bronze Saints, Raki, Selene and Reina nodded their heads at Aria.
"Together." Kouga affirmed.
Raki then galloped onto Reina.
"Can't believed you are a metahuman, Reina!" Raki beamed.
Selene deeply grinned at her friends.
"Our friend is a metahuman!" Selene hollered.
Reina then blushed afterwards.
"I-I don't remember much of it though..." Reina admitted.
Raki then flicked her nose in a relaxed manner.
"In due time; we'll lay out the details." Raki explained.
Kouga and Aria then stand by Wadd's gravestone one last time.
"Watch over us, Wadd. We will avenge you." Kouga declared.
Kouga and Aria then rejoined their friends.
Continuing their perilous journey against time itself.
