Chapter 15. Life advice
After a shower and a change of clothes, Fred emerged from the washroom, said a proper hello to his mother and spent some time catching up with his parents and Charlie.
He looked at the clock and said his goodbyes, having promised Anna he'd return 2 hrs later to help her out with the amnesia plan.
He headed outside to Apparate when he heard something behind him.
"Freddy!" Charlie yelled from the door. "Come here."
Fred walked back to his brothers' side.
Charlie closed the door and leaned back on it before smirking and asking. "So when's the wedding?
Fred raked his brain for a bit. "Heck if I remember mate, sometime next year I think, ask Bill."
"No, you git, yours with your mystery girl." Charlie said half-teasing.
"WHAT?! Charlie, it was a bleeding miracle she shagged me. Hell ain't freezing over twice mate." Fred said in a self-deprecating tone.
"That's not the Freddy I know. You obviously fancy this girl. And if half what you told me is true, I reckon that girl is barking mad not to fall head over heels for you." Charlie said thoughtfully.
Fred's face fell. "It's complicated mate."
"Well, uncomplicate it then." Charlie said simply.
"But." Fred began.
"But nothing, listen, if you want to be with this girl, be with this girl. Heck we only get one life Freddy." Charlie said seriously.
Fred just gaped like a fish.
"Mull it over little brother, I may not have Bill's luck with witches, but I know a thing or two about missed opportunities." Charlie said morosely.
Fred pulled Charlie into a bone crushing hug; he didn't know if this would be the last time seeing him. "Love ya mate."
"Aw, love ya too Freddy. See ya at Christmas." Charlie said happily.
"...I hope."
