Chapter 14

Kagome woke to the sensation of feather light strokes along her skin. She moaned and stretched, looking behind her to the man that she hoped she hadn't only dreamt a night with.

"Morning" she whispered, more than a little unsure. The previous night was amazing, but what did it mean? Was it just a moment of weakness?

He captured her lips in a kiss, his roaming hand making its way over her bare pussy and began stroking her lips lightly. Her breath hitched.

"Good morning" he murmured. He pressed his hips against her ass, his rock-hard member along the cleft of her cheeks. She pressed back.

He lifted her higher leg and rested it on his hip, spreading her lower lips to play with her uncovered treasure at the same time. Her hands tangled behind her in his hair and she shivered.

He filled her slowly, with shallow strokes. Rocking with her intimately as the quiet morning blessed their reunion.

They crested slowly, cumming together as the slow build up became too much, their joined hands clenching.

When he slid out of her, she turned in place, wanting to face him. He kissed her, brushing hair from her face and smiled at her.

"So you don't regret last night" she whispered

"Never" he whispered back, then hesitated. "Do you?"

She shook her head.

"So... what do we do now?" She asked, looking at their joined hands.

"Whatever we want."

"That seems too easy."

"Why shouldn't it be?" He challenged.

She paused; he was right. Why did everything have to be difficult? They both clearly wanted the same thing; would it be so bad to get what they wanted?

"What about your date last night?" She asked hesitantly, unsure if she wanted to know about his dating and potential sex life.

"We had only a few dates before. I've never bedded her" he paused, "or anyone else."

Kagome released a breath she didn't realize she was holding, not anticipating how her heart hammered in anxiety. She wasn't sure what she would have done if he had fucked anyone.

"They were dates to appease my father, he feared I was becoming too reclusive." He murmured, kissing her forehead.

"I haven't had the time to date, grandpa kept me busy"

"I can't say I'm upset at that," he teased. She slapped his shoulder playfully.

Precious seconds passed, and they just stared at each other, lots of emotion hung in the air, unnamed insecurities.

"I… missed you." She whispered, she hesitated to admit it, but what did it matter when they just had a night and morning of passion and admitted their love.

"I've missed you too." He declared softly, kissing her forehead as if to seal it into her.

"Have breakfast with me?" He asked seriously, some moments later.

She nodded then smiled, this was really happening.

They ordered breakfast from a nearby cafe and while they ate Souta called demanding to know where she was with his precious car. This led to a plan for Souta to drop off a bag of clothes in exchange for the keys from the valet.

The concierge didn't bat an eye when the call came down from the top-most Penthouse with the request. He had heard worse, so releasing a car and placing a bag within the entryway of the apartment by the elevator door wasn't a hardship. The folded bills on the table in the entryway, also didn't hurt.

They spent the rest of the morning together, cuddling, chatting and generally catching up. Tiptoeing around the topic of them, both deciding that it wasn't important at the moment. The morning's confessions already left them vulnerable, they felt they didn't need to push any further.

They were trying to decide on lunch when Kagome's phone rang, Sango's name popping up on the screen, she had forgotten completely that they had a lunch date today. She answered the phone, her face contrite.

"Kags, where are you?"

"Hey Sango, I'm so sorry, I completely forgot." Kagome apologized, biting her lip.

"Well are you coming or not?"

'I've been cumming' she thought, and a dramatic scandalized gasp through the phone let her know that she might have said that out loud. She heard Sesshoumaru chuckle beside her and her head snapped to him while she tried belatedly to cover the mic on her phone. Hearing an answering "Well then" through the phone told her that her best friend also heard that too.

"Soooooo," Sango drawled pervertedly as Kagome cleared her throat.

"Sooooo?" Kagome asked awkwardly, trying to look everywhere except the amused man beside her.

"I expect details and yes I will be telling Kikyo. Bye Sesshoumaru!" then she hung up.

Kagome shook her head, at least she wasn't mad. The thought had crossed her mind if her friends would have had an issue with the current development, what with all the 'exes are exes for a reason' talk that normally pops up. But she was relieved that Sango seemed to have no issue.

She bit her lip and looked embarrassedly over at Sesshoumaru who only kissed her forehead in response. Her phone trilled again, a text message from Kikyo. Warily opening it, she burst into laughter after seeing three emoji; an eggplant, drops of water and champagne.

.:o0o:.

The women didn't get to meet up for another two weeks, Kikyo had been pulled full swing into wedding planning and Clan business with Izayoi and Sango was heading a merger for her Father's business. During this time Kagome was finalizing her plans for the remainder of the year with Touga and her grandfather.

"This right here? Needed." Sango gushed, sinking bonelessly into her couch. They had all cleared their schedules and designated this meet up as an important meeting.

"I agree. Izayoi, I love the woman, but she can be overwhelming." Kikyo complained good naturedly, accepting a glass of wine from Kagome.

"That's what you get when you marry into that powerhouse of a family." Kagome teased, easing herself onto the plush carpet with a sigh.

"And what about you missy?" Sango latched on, "You prepared to marry said powerhouse of a family?"

"Who said anything about marriage?" Kagome said quietly, playing with her tennis bracelet and not meeting their eyes.

"Wasn't that the original agreement? You guys seem to be dating again, so isn't that the plan?" Kikyo prodded.

"You are dating again, right?" Sango deadpanned. "This isn't some situationship that you guys have going on. Because if it is, so help me."

"We haven't exactly spoken about it." Kagome said honestly. "And I wouldn't exactly call it dating per say."

Kikyo looked at her blankly, "so let me get this straight, you guys are spending time together, fucking-"

"Emphasis on fucking" Sango chimed in, taking a sip from her glass

"Fucking," Kikyo reiterated for the agreed upon emphasis, "but you don't know what you want."

"Well, when you put it that way.." Kagome muttered; a bit defensive.

"There's no other way to put it. That's what you guys are doing." Kikyo cried.

"Look Kagome, we know you both feel strongly for each other, or else we would have come between this shit already. We just didn't expect you to guys to pretend you're in some sort of bubble where nothing matters. You aren't in college." Sango laid it out plainly.

"I know that!" Kagome cried out frustrated, feeling very attacked. Kikyo, realizing what was happening, sat on the floor beside her and pulled her into a hug.

"It's not that we think you guys are doing the wrong thing, we're just worried that you're sabotaging yourselves." She said comfortingly, rocking them back and forth lightly.

"Oh 'Gome" Sango cooed, sliding onto Kagome's other side and adding herself to the hug. "You guys are afraid to mess up again, aren't you." she said, it sounded like a question, but they all knew it was a statement of fact.

"His trust in me broke so easily the last time, what's to say it won't happen again?" Kagome spoke quietly. "If we don't have any labels, then we can't have many expectations, you know?" She finished with a nod, confident in her assessment.

Sango and Kikyo shared another look, this one of worry, and said nothing. They sat there for a little while longer before Sango took the reins and steered the rest of the night to safer territories.

.:o0o:.

Well what do you guys think?

I honestly love Kikyo and Sango in this story, I wrote their personalities like my own best friends and I feel they add a level of honesty and fun that only close friends can.

Also, there's not that many chapters left. I figure I'd give you guys a heads up, please don't hate meeeee

Much love!
