Summary: Shirou was not saved by Kiritsugu Emiya during the fallout disaster of the Fourth Holy Grail War. Instead, A voice from the beyond calls out to Shirou to take up the mantle of the One-Winged Angel of Death so that he may Save the World. Shirou accepts it since the fire destroyed his memories of his former life. Beware Magi and upcoming Servants of the 5th Grail War, Sephiroth is here.
Chapter 1
Everything was burning. That is the first thing that comes to the 7-year-old Shirou's mind as he walks slowly across the destruction of Fuyuki City with a dead look in his eyes. His memories of his family, his life, all gone. The only thing he can remember is the fires burning. He tries to call for help, but his voice is so weak from the smoke. Taking a leap of faith, he looks to the sky, hoping that if there is a God, to answer his unspoken prayer to save him and childishly, the people who are dying.

At first no answer came. But then, a deep unfamiliar voice spoke inside his head that drowned out the noise of the Fuyuki Fire and the cries of the desperate surviving Master of the failed Fourth Holy Grail War. 'You are weak, young Shirou. But now is not the time to fall to despair. I have a favor to ask of you. The Planet is dying. Slowly. Silently. Painfully. Can you bear to see the planet suffer…Shirou?
Were the planet to die, so many things would be lost. Your hometown that burns so bright…That which binds me to you would be no more. And I would loath to live in such a world. Which is why I must ask you this one favor. Don't worry. It's a simple thing.
Embrace me. Take my name and my sword, and I will be reborn to save this world from destruction.'
Shirou didn't know what to think so he pushes past the voice to find the man that calls for any survivors. However, his weak frame fails him as he tumbles to the ground. He looks up to see a tall man with long silver hair, wearing a black leather coat and white plated shoulder pads. The man's most distinguished feature is his bright blue with green edged eyes that are slit like for a cat or a snake. The man reveals to be the voice Shirou heard in his head as he speaks to Shiro, "You are too weak to save anyone. Not even yourself. Let me help you. Join me. And you will be a Hero for the Planet and all her inhabitants. Let us defy destiny…together." Shiro is too weak to take the man's gloved hand, so he simply nods to show he accepts the man's offer. But he still didn't know the man's name. The man kneels and holds the boy's head as if cradling a newborn as he whispers his name to Shirou's ear.

Fire engulfs Shirou as Kiritsugu Emiya tries to get to the boy. The fire blocks his path as he raises his arm to shield his face. Suddenly, the sheath of Excalibur, Avalon, flies out of Emiya's grasp and into the rising embers. Emiya looks and his eyes widen to see a 6ft-1in tall man standing where the child once was. The man opens his inhuman eyes and smiles at Kiritsugu before turning away and walking through the fire without a care in the world until he vanished from the Magus Killer's sight. Emiya felt that because he failed, something else was called upon that will either save or destroy the world.
Scene Change…10 years later…Homurahara Academy
Rin Tohsaka is right now watching her Archer battling Lancer. Although the Fifth Holy Grail War started 50 years prematurely, the Tohsaka heir was quick to summon her Servant and show her pride as a Magus in honor of her deceased parents that died in the last War. At first, she wanted to summon a Saber class Servant, but her miscalculation of the time change threw her off and she was stuck with this ominous red cloaked Archer that has amnesia.
Now she observed as her Archer showed his unique skill in conjuring many short swords as he battled the blue costumed Lancer with a long ponytailed hair that matched his armor. His most interesting feature was his red eyes that went with his spear that seemed to be his Noble Phantasm. She hoped that her Archer could handle this legendary warrior.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw Seph Crescent pop out of the archery hall. Seph was a strange teenager that lives with Issei at Ryuudou Temple. His silver hair reaches down to his neck, has fair skin and piercing blue eyes. He wears the regular brown school apparel for men with a black t-shirt under the jacket. He hangs out with Issei and Sakura Matou and usually doesn't talk. It was strange for Rin since she thought little of Seph who didn't appear to be a magus or a practitioner of Magecraft. However, she did notice that he had a strange tattoo of the number 7 marked on his right shoulder when she saw him take off his jacket during one of the school's sports activities.
Not that she was ogling him like a hormone driven teenager, she quickly denies to herself. But strangely, he's been looking sick these past few days and has been passing out a couple of times and sent to the nurse. He must have passed out again in the men's locker room before waking up to see it was late at night.
Suddenly, the two Servants stop to see Seph stumble a bit before looking at Archer, something strange happened. Black smoke seemed to come off of Seph as if he were made of that stuff. Archer unexpectedly collapsed and was clutching his head in pain. Lancer looked at the boy and prepared to stab the poor outsider at stumbling into this Moonlit world phenomenon.
"Tough luck, kid. I don't know what caused Mr. wannabe sword wielder over there to flop like that. But my Master told me to take care of this intrusion before finishing Archer off. See ya, kid. It will all soon be just a memory." Spoke Lancer as he rushed forward to thrust his weapon into Seph's heart, but it never touched his chest.
Rin did not know what to make of what just happened. One moment, Seph was about to die. Next thing she saw, another man stood before them, having caught Lancer's spear before piercing his chest. The tall cloaked figure threw Lancer with his weapon back as the former Seph opened his now cat slit eyes that spooked Lancer and Rin Tohsaka.
The transformed Seph then pulled out a scabbard that had the unmistakable touch of magic. "I will…never be a memory." The deep voice of Sephiroth replied as circle appeared before him.
He only uttered the word, "Summon.", as the last Servant of the Holy Grail War appeared before them. The Saber Class Servant was female, blonde, and wearing blue and silver armored dress, and wearing gauntlets that held an invisible sword like weapon, hidden by wind magic. Saber opened her green eyes as she turned to look at her summoner.
"I am Saber. I ask you, are you worthy to be my Master?" Saber asked Sephiroth.
"I am." Was his simple reply.
"Hold on! That's impossible!" Rin cried out indignantly. Snapping Archer back to reality and looking awestruck Saber being summoned here. Now. The Servants stared at the Tohsaka heiress as she tried to understand what had just happened.
"How could you summon a Saber when you have no Magic Circuits from what I've seen of you at school?! Who are you, Seph Crescent? What are you!?"
'Seph Crescent? Not Shirou Emiya?' thought Archer as he was not looking forward to this.
"I am the chosen one. I have been chosen to rule this planet." Was Sephiroth's reply as a green mist appears before him and he catches it with his left hand to pull out a long nodachi. Masamune.
Archer analyzes that weapon and is nerved at who he now knows is their enemy. Charging forward, Archer pulls out his two blades and goes to strike out the Master of Saber before things get worse. However, Sephiroth doesn't seem worried when Saber tries to cover for her Master against the other Servant.
Archer summons several swords to hold Saber in place for a bit as he jumps in the air and brings down both his swords down upon Sephiroth. To the surprise of Rin, Lancer, and Saber, Sephiroth blocks the attack with his longsword with just one hand on his hilt. Archer and Sephiroth's clash create a shockwave but Sephiroth is unmoving and Archer is still in the air.
"A touching reunion." Comments Sephiroth as he overpowers Archer and swipes him away, having him crash into the school like Archer did to Lancer earlier.
"Dang, this guy's more tough than I thought. And to be the Master of the sword bearing Servant… My Master is sure gonna get a kick out of this. A new player that has the strength and power to overwhelm one of the three knight-class Servants. I'm outta here." Said Lancer as he jumped away to leave Archer to deal with Saber and her Master.
Saber gets free from her blade prison and stands guard near her Master's side as Archer pulls himself from the rubble and regroups to Rin Tohsaka's side. Rin is still horrified that this monster is now ruining her chance at winning the Grail. She scanned Sephiroth again and found that his whole body was like a mana battery for Saber. With no circuits to be seen within his body. He should not be alive or even exist.
"Y-You…You're wrong." Rin pointed at Sephiroth.
"Those who look with clouded eyes see nothing but shadows." Sephiroth vaguely replied.
"Everything about you is wrong." Rin emphasized while Archer put a hand on her left shoulder to calm her down.
Sephiroth then had a sadistic smirk on his face as he gazed at Archer. Archer was mad that now he was not facing a naïve hero of justice in training, but a powerful being that could either save the world or destroy it. He wished that this nightmare would end so he could retreat with his Master and get help to stop Sephiroth and his plans.
"We should end them now, Master. And be one step closer to obtaining the Grail." Saber informed her Master.
"Death is too kind for them. But soon, I will give them despair and see them wailing in agony at the pain that they themselves caused. We have a higher calling to fulfill, Saber. Our beloved planet is dying. The poison inside the cup was not fully removed when the vessel was destroyed 10 years ago." Sephiroth tells the King of Knights.
Saber's eyes widened that the Grail was not pure. And that her former Master's actions have put the world in such a dying state. She would have to speak with her Master more to explain the situation to her. But first she must know the name of her present summoner that wields his blade so effectively.
"Before we withdraw, Master. May I please know the name of my Master?"
"I am Sephiroth. And I will become the savior of this planet and lead all her inhabitants to the promised land." Sephiroth then outstretches his right arm as a large black angelic wing appears on his right side.
Rin is in awe at Sephiroth's wing. She began theorizing that Sephiroth may in fact be the offspring of a human and a Phantasm Being from the Reverse Side of the World. Archer, however, was aghast of having to now deal with the One-Winged Angel of Death. Uncertain if he was strong enough to defeat Sephiroth with his Reality Marble or a traced unbeatable blade.
"We shall destroy our enemies. If not now, then next time. Come, we have much work to do." Sephiroth commands Saber as he takes off into the air. Disappearing amidst the dark skies. Saber took one last look at Archer and his Master before going into spirit for to appear at her Master's side when called upon again.
Rin was shell shocked at the devastation Sephiroth did to Archer with nothing but a block and a quick swipe with his nodachi. She quickly went to fixing the school before retreating to her home with Archer being silent for the rest of the journey. Not even giving a snarky remark. Hopefully her mentor, the fake priest Kirei Kotomine would have more information on Sephiroth and his origins and abilities.
