In Some Ways, It's Our First Meeting

When I look at their faces
I wonder if they'll accept mine.
All that time I spent
not being completely honest
has to have an impact.
Will they even recognize me,
or will they want to see her?
I know I shouldn't worry,
but I do
and nothing can stop it
except for their grins,
and the light in their eyes
that reflects my own face back at me
with
a
smile.
