«Mom?» I looked up at her, not being sure on what she meant by that my friend, one of her pupils were gone and now we needed to travel abroad to find out were she had gone to. Telling me something about her having connection and "I" needed to go with her, not my sis, brother or any other family member, just the two of us.

"Pleas, I ask you as a mom. Could you go on this trip with me."

I looked up, still not believing everything about this trip, but sighted and went with it, just to go few hours sooner. She didn't give me time to say even "See you later" to the cat. Just something didn't feel right as we were traveling light handed and we were going for a week or two.

"At the airport we will meet one of my friends, they will guide us to the meeting point. I will tell you more as we get there."

"Ok…." I didn't like this but I didn't push my luck to ask more, more that I didn't know what to ask of her.

The trip over the sea went like any normal trip, nothing special or anything. Just a usual trip with an aircraft to another airport. Mom looked clam as we walked together out the doors to see a man in most normal clothes I had seen in my life. Like if he didn't wanted to be spotted by anyone at all, most perfect camo in a gathering of people.

"Hi" she smiled at the guy, hugged and looked over to me. It was creeps as he eyed me from top to my shoes. Had she only told me to do dress a little better.

We walked out together, at first I tried to follow the topic, but it was only how his family had it, how ours and stuff like that. With other words boring as hell for me, so I mounted my headphones over my ears and let the music play. We had been here multiple times before, so nothing was new. Well without the part that we weren't taking the taxi but someone picked us up.

A silver car, looked like a family car, it was weird how he and the car didn't stand out. But as before I again let it slide, but this time the ide was more nagging me.

"Dear." I heard my moms voice over the music.

"Yes?" letting one ear slide down.

"He is going to pick up two others on the way, just so you know it.."

"Ok.." Letting the music play in bought ears again.

Just to curse as he opened the back door and three seats only, meaning a tight fit it was going to be.

Not bothering more, jumped in, closed the door, seatbelts on and of we went.

It was maybe a one and half song afterwards we stopped to pick up two guys, they almost looked funny. One was immense huge, like wondering how in heavens grace he was going to get inn, and the other one skinny and nerdy. One of those teck nerd wibes I was getting from them.

They didn't say much, just greeted, nod to me and I nodded back to them. Somehow the skinny guy ended up in the middle and I got a window seat, nice.

Looking out the window, seeing houses pass bye, I felt asleep.

Looking over to the skinny guy, he had a hood on and wore sweatpants. But sometimes I saw something metallic in the shadow of his hood.

I looked out again, letting it be, maybe he would show me it afterwards as we would reach our destination. Hoping for it I looked out again, smiling for my shelf as I day started to day dream, not soon after falling asleep.

Next thing I remember is my head ponding, as I were in unfamiliar room, I didn't say much, just looked with half open eyes around. Seeing a cable, looking like pc cable, coming from my head area and to a pc near bye. But I didn't do anything, for all I knew it could be a pc behind me.

"How is she?" I could hear my mother ask, but she were no were in my line of sight. So I closed my eyes again and tried to listen a little closer, a little better.

"…brain is now holding most advanced hard drive ever to exist.."

"….so she is the one?"

There was no answer to it as I moved a little, knowing I was caught I played that I just woke up.

"What a…" Looking around I almost shit myself. It was like waking up in the most Syfy move or serial to ever exist. There were things I just had seen in future inspired movies.

Mom came over to me, she had cuts on her face and her left hand was in bandage.

"Hi, darling, good to see you up and going. How do you feel? How is your head?"

I looked at the cable, it followed me, it followed my head.

"Mom?" I felt my heartbeat raising.

"Its fine, it was only way to save you.."

"What?!"

I looked around to see the huge guy with scars all over his arms, some looked new and others looked old. But the skinny guy were no were to be seen.

"Easy… " she looked over to a guy sitting buy the pc, he gave a slight nod.

"I will fix it. Let me." She looked at me with eager eyes, so I let my head towards her, I could feel the cable hitting my side.

A pop sound, the cable felt to the ground. "See, better?"

I gave a nod, just to regret it. It felt weird, it was like everything I were doing was under my strict control. Like I could move every muscle individually.

"Listen now to me, we need to get you to a place, ok?"

"Why?"

"This is just a temporary replacement, the storage will soon fill up and for all in the world, we can't let it happen, for if it does, you stop…" She looked down at the ground.

"Ok, I trust you.."

She smiled, not happy , a more sad smile.

"Amon, could you take her?"

The bulky guy came over, "Have me excuse me, my lady." Before taking me up in a bridal style, mom covering me up with a cape of some sort. It was red and had some fur on the end.

There was other that followed us, a few holding device that was monitoring me, others just followed as we went through corridors. More soon followed so I tried to hide better under the cape.
