I Can Move Forward

By: Aviantei

When I look at their faces
I remember that part of me is missing.
It's enough
to turn even this moment bittersweet,
no matter how hard I try.

It's a laugh that saves me,
my brother's,
strong and loud,
the same as him.
Thanks to Beat,
I know that
I'll
be
fine.

It's no use crying over spilt milk,
I tell myself,
because the happiness I feel with everyone
is nothing but genuine.

Apologies for the lateness, I was helping my fiance move and then had issues with my computer... but all is well, so time to play some catch up.

Also: This is me trying to understand Rhyme and failing.

A great big thanks to CG for mentioning he wanted to go through and review the poems in this collection. Just the promise of your support means a whole lot.

Speaking of CG, it's time for Twelve Shots of Summer! If you're interested in a summer-long one shot writing challenge/community, check it out in the forums. We've got a great, supportful group, and we'd love to see you!

The next entry will be posted on June 10 (if all goes well), and will conclude the Faces series. Please look forward to it.
