Little Heroism
By: Aviantei
You're the one born out of love,
born out of a passion.
You give love in return,
a comforting paw and whisker in hard times,
a constant friend in happiness.
Your claws can take away nightmares,
can fight off monsters.
You are a hero,
always protecting when needed,
ready to save the day.
It's your duty,
and the hugs of gratitude
aren't so bad, either.
You don't have to question it:
life as a cat is good.
Here we go, the Mr. Mew poem nobody probably expected.
Thanks to the wonderful Chronic Guardian for dropping off a review, shortly followed by a Skype session where he talked about the rest of Noise with me in detail and constructive criticism. You could no ask for a better writing friend. Seriously. Though, sorry I couldn't justify making a second poetry collection because the arc ending felt right. You'll all have to put up with updates in the same place as always.
In any event, this was fun. After spending time on Shiki, what would it be if I didn't dedicate a poem to Mr. Mew? (Though the lessons I learned from the poetry class I'm finishing up are telling me to fix these, but, frankly, I'd rather just write new material...)
Anyway, sorry for the late update: the holidays and my guests ate me. But I'm working on getting back on track. Things should be caught up tomorrow...
Hm, I'm thinking the next poem will come out in March. I found a draft of a Rhyme poem I did a while ago that never made it into (digital) print, so that'll be next! Please look forward to it.
