Lisa walked into Mr. Drucker's general store. "Hi, Mr. Drucker."
"Oh, hi, Mrs. Douglas. How can I help you?"
"I need a green dress. Do you have any?"
"I don't think so…my selection isn't so big. You might need to go into one of the larger stores in Pixley, for a better selection. But here's the women's clothes." He pointed to them.
"Thank you."
She walked over and looked at them. "No green dresses."
"Does it have to be green?"
"Yes, it does."
"Well, sorry about that."
"That'z OK."
She walked around the store, for a bit. She came across the pickle barrel.
"Perhapz I can make a green dress."
"You mean sew it? I do have sewing materials."
"No, I mean dye it."
"Dye it?"
"That'z right."
She slipped her shoes off. And then, she climbed into the barrel!"
Mr. Drucker was shocked! "Mrs. Douglas! What are you doing?"
"Making my dress green!"
She lowered herself into the barrel, up to her neck. Pickles and juice spilled out. She stayed like this for a few seconds, then she stood up again. Her white dress was soaked, and the juice did indeed turn it a light green! She looked at herself.
"There, now I've got a green dress!"
She got out of the barrel and walked over to Mr. Drucker. From her purse, she gave him a $20 bill. "Thank you, Mr. Drucker!"
"Er…you're welcome!"
She started to leave.
"Oh, you forgot your shoes!"
"Oopz! Thank you!"
She put them back on and left the store. Mr. Drucker smiled and chuckled.
Mr. Drucker eventually told Oliver what happened. He merely shook his head in disbelief!
