In memory of its likeness
The loyal friend
Who waited for his master
But to some it stands
As a testament to reunion
A marker of forming partnerships
Some starting reluctantly
But all ending in trust
This statue is where things began
Where they shall continue
The likeness of Hachiko
Watching over it all
