(T-L-G)

Yang and Weiss sit on the couch watching the news of the attack as the moonlight shines. Yang is still in her uniform, albeit without her long coat and Weiss, who is still in her ripped dress with Myrtenaster lying by her with drying bloodstains on the left side of her face and dress.

"It was early in the afternoon when the New White Fang were attacked by suicide bombers and supporters of the Red Fang, a group mostly comprised of former fanatic members of the White Fang. The first bombing was supposedly struck in Vale, where High Leader Belladonna had stationed herself. The platform had High Leader Belladonna conduct a speech before Weiss Schnee, CEO of the Schnee Dust Company came up. The NWF had VPD, including Huntress Officer Xiao Long and Huntsman Officer Daichi and some of their own personal attacking the Faunus of the Red Fang, though several witnesses stated that they saw and were attacked by some humans with masks aligning with the Red Fang.

The loss of life extends to the thousands and more counting with the other attacks, especially the attack on the Vacuo Branch, where Nolan Porfirio is replacing Admiral Brawns Ni, who sacrificed himself by attracting flower-mouth worms to him and several Reds. The Mistral Branch faced several civilians and personal of the NWF who are reported missing. A brief interview with Chief Amitola was given after the attacks. She speculates that they targeted all the branches for a reason, with the Mistral Branch having the most personal out of the Branches. Furthermore, Weiss Schnee was attacked by a brutish Red, witnesses say that this Red was supposedly a former White Fang. While Weiss Schnee survived the encounter, she didn't leave unscathed, as her-"

Weiss turns off the TV, looking down at the bandaged, bloodied stump of her left arm. She sighs heavily at it as a feeling of someone's arm wraps around her. "Hey."

The CEO smiles at her "Hey back." Yang smiles back while biting the corners of her lips, head and chest mildly bopping, causing Weiss' smile to turn upside down. "What's so funny?"

"You, getting casual. Where's the Ice Queen that we all knew?" Weiss gives Yang a backhanded slap, who groans at the action. "Little physical but that's good." She gets a jab to her stomach, "Eeek!"

"How unlike you." The two girls laugh at each others company. They die the noise down, Weiss looking back at the bedroom door and back to the TV. "When was the last time we all had a sleepover?"

"Sleepover? Isn't that a thing Ruby would say?" Weiss locks up, stiffed spine. "Guess you two really are besties."

"Heh, guess we are." A dark look comes to her icy blue eyes. "How was Ruby after the attack?"

Yang rubs her neck and looks at the balcony, "I don't know but... She's a little more messed up now. Remember what they told us when they first diagnosed Ruby and Blake with the first case of Grimm Shock?"

"Yeah, they said that both of them have the same symptoms yet Blake's physiology was different. How she's carrying a new blood cell. An permanent virus in her coded to her blood."

"And how Ruby's is said to be coded like a disorder. Goddamn those black sludge pools really messed up those who were near them. Good thing her Silver Eyes, or Eye annihilated most of that gunk before it got to her." Yang looks at Weiss, who has a dark expression on her. "Weiss?"

The white-haired queen inhales before exhaling, "There were humans."

"What?"

"Yang, some of the Reds weren't Faunus at all. Some were humans with poor-looking health and conditions. Yang, who knows what kind of implications this has on the public eye."

"You're certain?"

"Of course." Weiss says.

The Huntress Officer rubs her forehead in frustration, "Shit." Yang gets up and goes into the kitchen area. "These last fucking years has been bullshit. Blake spent 5 years rebuilding the White Fang's reputation from the rubble while dealing with Hunt's Illness, Jaune and a bunch of the other Huntsmen and Huntresses went rouge. I don't know I can keep making sure Ruby isn't constantly trying to avoid us and our yearly reunions when a shit ton of people got killed or injured." She pulls the fridge door and takes a pack of soda. Her mind directs itself to Weiss's arm. Her face pales momentarily, eyes widen to her friend's current state. "Hey. Should I... I thought you'll be more devastated about your arm. But you've been real quiet about it."

Weiss, blank-faced, stares at Yang and tilts her head while looking at Yang's prosthetic. The two are silent. Then, within the corner of her lips, Weiss gives her a relieved smile. "I was thinking about it for a while. It reminded me of something I had actually planned. Guess this tragedy just sped it up."

"What are you blabbing about, Weiss?"

"I was thinking of prosthetics for my people who work at the mines and those who's can't work because of lost limbs, be it by defect or work accidents. After the speech and the event was done, I was thinking of calling Winter to see if I can get a contract from the Atlas Military for the prosthetic blueprints. I would set up a schedule for a plane once Ruby was in control of herself and head back to Atlas. I also thought that I would be the first to have a SDC patented prosthetic."

Before Yang can react, they hear fabric flapping from the balcony. They look to it and see a red cloak coming into the apartment. Weiss gets up and walks to her, "Ruby, are you-" Ruby doesn't hear or see her, causing her to bump Weiss out of her way. "Hey! Ruby!" Ruby opens her bedroom door and closes it, a locking sound coming after. Weiss comes at the door, "Ruby, talk to us!" She starts to repeatedly knock on the door, "Ruby, I'm going to keep knocking on the door until you-"

The door quickly opens and the Ice Queen goes to say something but the Rose beat her to it, "Fuck off Weiss!" She slams the door on her, locking it again. Yang swings around the corner and sees Weiss's shocked and distressed expression. Yang practically punches the door, "Ruby! What is wrong with you! Get out here, right now!" Inside the bedroom is the Rose standing in the middle, looking down at her hands. Pulling non-existent triggers, eyes widen at the realization. "Ruby!"

"There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby. There's no Grimm, Ruby..."

The banging stops, with a heavy thump on the door with stiffened and quiet sobs.

(Moriah)

Inside one of the rooms, Sky is leaning on a wall, watching the doorway. Cyrin is sketching Adolpha in her book on the floor, Jaune is carving out wooden masks on the bed, finishing out a jaw piece' left tusk and Asoar is pacing around the room, anxious. "Where is he right now?" Asoar says.

"Sis, chill yourself. Ares is probably out with the Ying wolves, probably mating with them." Jaune briefly laugh at Cyrin's remark. She gets slapped on the back of her head, "Oww! Shit!"

"Cyrin!"

"Quit taking everything I say seriously, I'm just joking. Unlike you, I know fun just a bit better than you. Seriously though, I wouldn't know, but I'm guessing somewhere nearby." She turns her book to Jaune, "What do you think?"

He takes a moment, looking at the shaded sketch of the Grimm she-wolf, "You forgot something, but overall, pretty accurate." She looks back at her sketch, realizing her mistake and goes to make the rings around the eyes. The door opens, revealing Red. "If it isn't the Faunus who killed hope for his race."

Sky turns to Jaune, shocked, "Dude."

"It's true, isn't it?"

Red's body doesn't react to Jaune though a subtle tilt to the left his upper body is noticed. "Everyone, stay in the room for tonight. Ares is starting his plan."

Cyrin comes up to Red, "Why? Where's Mr. Dougal?"

"Ares is at the well... Just don't drink the water-" She runs pass him. "Ok..." He stands in the doorway, awkwardly standing. "So, what, uh... Should I, just, go?"

"Nah man, stay here, we rented one room anyways." Cyrin tells him. He steps into the room, closing the door behind him and taking off his mask and gloves. He drops himself onto the floor.

"... What should we do?" Red asks, looking to Cyrin.

"I dunno man, maybe polish your sword, trim your horns, whatever. I'm going to sketch everyone in our group. Or pack, considering Ares used or is a Beowolf." Red takes out his sword and looks into the stainless blood blade, wielding its tip high up in the air with a bent elbow. And stays so, the others looking at his paused stance... And begins convulsing, both eyes looking rolling up and jaw in clenched pain before spitting out black sludge, falling onto his back. "What the fuck!"

"Red!" Jaune drops down and tries to figure what to do. "Red, can you-" He gets interrupted via Red spitting out black in his face. "Awwghhh! Shit!"

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" His left hands shake, fingers twitches and gestates from locking up to thrashing around. His back pushes itself up and screaming out a unnatural sound, screeching dark and deep into the ears of the others. "RRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Soon after, a collection of screams is heard from the walls of the room, pitching from high to low.

Cyrin looks back to the wall, shocked. "The fuck is happening?!" Another bloodcurdling scream comes from above and one more from below. Red's eyes widen up, veins filling up with black, his jaw pulls down, almost breaking the limits of the corners of his lips. Red's hand reaches out to the ceiling but reels back, pushing his index and middle fingers around his left eye. Cyrin goes to say something but she retches at the sight and covers her mouth but in vain as puke comes out.

"Red!" Jaune goes to grab his arm to stop him but a force pulls him back. Sky's firm grip on his shoulder keep him at bay, "Sky, what are you doing!? Let go!"

"We can't help him at this point, Jaune! He probably has a grip around his eye anyway. We can't-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Red begins to pull back his hand, as the group is too shocked or helpless to stop him. Slightly popping the eye out of its socket. Lips part to reveal his clenched jaw, incisors growing while still being accommodated for his mouth. He tugs his eye more, having resistance pulling it. He then manages to slip his middle, feeling for the cords that bind it. With all his arm strength, he finally breaks the cords, spilling out blood from the socket. Red drops his damaged and ripped eye and falls down unconscious.

Sky walks over to Cyrin, passing over her vomit on the horribly patterned floor, seeing her shocked realization. Jaune picks up Red and drags him to the wall. He checks the eye socket, clearly grossed out by the empty space. Sky pats Cyrin on her back, mildly helping. "Oh gods. That was actually terrifying. But fucking... I didn't expect this shit."

"Believe me, this is more tame then the Grimm Extinction." Sky says.

"I mean, I knew what I was getting myself into, but shit. Fucking motherfucker, fuck. Fuck!" She runs out of air, inhaling and exhaling. "Fuck. Fuck!"

"You good?"

The young girl takes some breath and reliefs it, "...Yeah. I'm good."

"Alright." He turns his direction to the knight, "Jaune, I don't know if your Semblance can do it or not but try to stop his bleeding and something to cover his eye with."

"Yeah, we probably won't need to do that." Jaune replies, still holding the shocked and horrified look.

"Why's that?"

"Because there's bones growing over it."

"What?" Sky comes over to Jaune, looking down at the perched Red. His connected eye is dulled, neck slightly crooked and jaw open, his left eye socket has pure white keratin slowly growing over it, he is also growing small spikes lining up with his left eye brow. "How? Why?"

A loud sound is heard from their door. Another bang comes and another and another.

"Should we-" The door crashes down, showing a elderly man with black spikes coming out and into his back and his arms are coloring itself to pure white, emitting smoke out his elbows. "H-hey. You alright there, sir?"

"... Make it stop..."

"Huh?"

"Make the pain STOP!" Spikes rip apart the rest of the old man's shirt, appearing numerously and erratically before they shoot at them. Sky jumps over a bed to protect himself while Jaune gets his shield and opens its to protect Cyrin and himself.

The human soldier pops his body up, palms facing the old man, "Hang on sir, please try to stay calm while I-" A whirling sound comes to Sky's ears, as a dagger enters his peripheral vision is swung near his shoulder and into the old man's chest. It lands blade-first and pushes him to the crashed door. The spikes jut out before shooting into the ceiling. The elderly man's body doesn't replenish the spikes as black liquid pours out around the dagger.

Sky turns back to Jaune, who's shield has a popped out metal sheet, possibly holding the dagger that was thrown. "Jaune!"

"What? He was going to kill us."

"He was scared!"

"So, he couldn't control it. he had to be stopped."

"Maybe if he was calm, he could have!"

"Don't focus on then, focus on now! And right now, we're in a town with humans screaming out of their lung, turning into whatever the fuck Ares' put in the water!"

"How did it spread this quickly so fast! There's no way it could've spread this fast! And don't you think I-"

"Will forget a intruder attacking us?"

"Killing a elderly man who was scared!"

"He was going to die anyways!"

While the two adults argue at one another, Cyrin quietly makes her way out with Red slung over her shoulder, his sword strapped onto her bag. "Gods, you weigh more than I thought, Red." While making her way out, she could hear the anguish screams of agony. The young historian makes it to the stairway and step by step, carefully making sure that Red didn't get snagged. Gods, the screaming... She makes her way to the ground floor and leans Red onto a wall, "Alright Red, you stay right there... Why am I talking to him while he's comatose?"

A body is flung near her to the wall, "Holy shit!" The body in question has her jaw open, revealing the rows of sharp blackened teeth. The fuck? She sees her arms covered in bones with gaps in between. This is crazy.

"Get away!"

"Huh?" Cyrin turns to the direction of the scream. To it, she sees Ares, combating with a human whose entire arms spilling out smoke, Cardin is knocking out entire packs of them with his mace and Asoar, who is swinging her pan at two more.

"Back off!" One of them growls at her but his head begins to shakes erratically, his entire jaw begins to open up, breaking the tissue limit and grows a impossible row replacing his lower lips with misaligned sharp black teeth. "Oh." The mangled jaw pounces on her, pinning her arm and legs with the frying pan stuck in its mouth while the other turns his attention to Ares, still struggling to come near his feral combatant. "Get off me!"

Cyrin takes off her bag and unwraps Red's sheathed blade. She holds by the sheath and hilt and runs at the disfigured jawed savage "Take this!" And whacks his head. He stops his assault on Asoar looks back to Cyrin, looking directly at Cyrin's cyan eyes from his darkened yellow filled white eyes. "Oh fuck." Asoar swings her pan at him, forcing it to back off and redirects itself to Cyrin. "Fuck!" She tries to run away but trips on a lifted stone from her boot. The turning animalistic hominid drops itself in front of her.

The young sister almost has her face snapped off if not for Red's weapon keeping it at bay by the neck. "Get off of me, you freak!" Its mismatched jaws continues to spit out darkened drool and assault on her. Asoar gets back up and runs to attack the wild infected but it detects her and kicks her back to the ground. It encroaches on her head more and more... Until a black-covered hand takes hold of Wilt and Blush and pulls the animal off of Cyrin while pulling it up.

The feral mix-breed roars at him but two slices of red comes at it and gets pushed back by the sweetening slashes. He puts Wilt and Blush on his left side of his hip and cleanly pulls out Wilt and cuts through the mangled jaws' neck... It drops to its knees as its head falls forward. "Red?" Cyrin says, confused with the action.

He turns to head down to Cyrin, showing his bone-eyepatch and open eye, grinning with madness. "Not this time." Two more infected come at him, one throws its arms at him with bones shaped like feathers. Adam slices through the arm and slits the neck off. The other holds its hands out and black spikes come out of silts in its hands and fires out in rapid succession. The former leader slices the first eight spikes in two and blocks the rest of them. The spike-shooting freak-Grimm looks at its hands and tilts its head in confusion. The horned mad-bull takes the opportunity to decapitate it.

DIE MONGRELS! YOU PATHETIC WORMS DO NOT DESERVE TO LOOK UPON ME! I WILL KILL YOUR FATHERS, YOUR MOTHERS, EVERYONE THAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU! DIIIIEEE!

(Ares' Vessel)

What is Red-ANIMALS! SCUM! MAGGOTS! His thoughts are overriding-MAIM! SNAP THEIR BONES! Gods! I can't see! "Asoar! Cyrin!" My voice scream out. Why were they the first thing I call out to? I hear footsteps, one solid piece before another weighted piece. "Red! Adolpha!"

The two-point steps stop. "Mr. Dougal!" Asoar. KILL! LEAVE NO ONE BREAHTING! I feel a light hand on my vessel's shoulder. It must be hers. Then a expulsion of air I feel on my face. "Your eyes, Mr. Dougal."

JOIN YOUR PATHETIC ANCESTORS! "What about my eyes, Asoar?" There is... annoyance in my tone? Why is she worried about my eyes, worry about these creatures attacking everything in sight.

"They're... pitch black."

"Forget about my eyes, we need to-PURGE THE WEAK! "AAAAAHHHHH!"

I feel my legs being pulled up, "Ares! We need to get him out of here!" I feel the brief pressure of below my soles as my boosted synthetic ones stands. "Cyrin, go and get Mr. Dougal to the forests! Take this with you, just in case."

"What the fuck!?" I hear her exclaim. "Why does this have-"

"Just fuckin take it!"

"Alright!" KILL KILL KILL! I need to disconnect! The pool... This feels... forlorn. I must focus on now.

The two conversation I remember had ended and I fall with a controlled motion to a much smaller shoulder. "Cyrin?" I call meekly. Am I really that emotional at this moment? Why now?

"Hold onto me tightly A, cause I'm a lot shorter with your huge stature. And sorry for this, but can you please close your eyes? They're creeping me out." I can't argue with her if she's can't focus. So I grab it with my own. It might be best to converse the liquid in my visions. Upper lid closes the gap of 'blackness' with the lower lid and start to get pulled ... What is that? The sensation across my vessel, but only around my right arm. An instinct comes to me but I do not know this one. It's tells me to not keep myself alive but to keep someone alive.

Opening my eyes to the instinct's direction, I see thin, flowing rivers of black and red. "Cyrin, above us!" With only a mere thought of my life, I pull Cyrin behind me, striking out at the feral ambusher.

My dull claws feels like they've extended and have pierced through. Four claws seem to have struck the limbs where the black rivers used to flow and one has stopped the beating sounds. I can feel the creature struggling, vainly trying to survive.

Why? I did I do to deserve this?

What is this? How did I enter the thought pool again?

All I wanted was a life away from the city.

Are these its thoughts? Strange, why am I starting to feel... pathetically distressed?

I need... To find my family...

... I am sorry. I wish you had not discovered the pool.

Who are you... Are you my killer? The man who murdered me? Strange... Why do I feel like I've known you?

The thought pool collects all memories, so you may have seen lingering memories of my own.

Ah, you're a Grimm... You're the reason why I'm like this.

I did not expect the transformation to be like this.

Expect? You... Used us as... a... Experiment?

Yes. You here though... It is a unexpected variable.

...

The creature's vessel stop flailing, the soul is dead... And it seem like I was in a another thought pool with just him. I hope your soul reincarnate to a another life. "Ares!" Cyrin takes hold of my shoulder, assumingly with a thought. "How? Why?" THERE IS SO MUCH BLOOD!

"AAAAAAHHHH!" THE NOISE! IT HURTS SO MUCH! RED'S VOICE! WHY IS IT CLIPPING INTO MY EARS!

"Cyrin, Mr. Dougal!, why haven't you..." KILL THEM ALL! KILL THEM ALL! MY STRENGTH IS FALTERING... I HAVE TO GET "OUT!" SLAY ALL THOSE WHO STAND IN MY PATH! MY MIND! THE FLAYING NATURE OF IT! "AAAAHHHH!" "Ares!" THE FLAYING!

Red, stop! You're losing yourself! WHY!? I HAVEN'T FELT SO GOOD IN 5 YEARS! IT FEELS SO FULFILLING! You're allowing yourself to be consumed! You are reformed, are you not! NO! I CAN NEVER BE REFORMED! I AM IRREDEEMABLE, I CAN NEVER LOSE THAT ANIMAL... HE IS ALWAYS AROUND, STALKING ME! HE CAN'T BE A GHOST OR A PERSONA.. HE IS STILL A PART OF ME...

BUT I DON'T WANT HIM HERE. WHY?! WHY AM I STILL ALIVE!? I SHOULD HAVE DIED AT THE WATERFALL, NOT CONTINUE ON LIVING WITH THE THINGS I DID!? If you can't live with your actions, then why do you still fight, even now? Let these Abominations kill you.

... NOT YET. NOT UNTIL I SEE HER AGAIN AND RECONCILE OF WHAT I'VE DONE. AND WHEN I CAN, I can finally leave all of this behind. My vision clears to the night and the bright , watching Red's body relaxes as his head pulls itself to the sky. "Adolpha!"

(Bird's eye view)

Coming towards the group from behind, the shadowy wolf pack come swarming away and taking out the Grimm Abominations pursuing them, destroying their necks and ripping them. The members of the Pack regroup to a road into the forest. Yes, Hunter Ares? "We cannot let any of these abominations escape, kill them all." Yes, Hunter Ares.

(Author's Note)

This. Took. Too. Long. I feel stupid for taking so much wasted time. I can't write more at point so at some points my ridiculous slowed brain wrote something and I can't remember what. I'll leave the fight on this and start up Chapter 12.

Review/s

merendinoemiliano: I barely have the concept myself and the plans are rocky at the moment, maybe I can clear it up later on, who knows.

eNervFlinC: That's a first, novelty. And admittedly, I honestly don't know where I was going with the plot and which background you're referring to?

Hope you enjoyed this chapter, review and have a nice day Reading.
