Latina shewolf and I had a Minecraft Diamond Hunt competition where the loser would have to write a one-shot for the winner. I ended up losing because I just couldn't find a single diamond. Latina found more than a dozen diamonds while I had to face two Endermen all by myself! I ended up with one Ender Pearl, though.

Latina shewolf gave me a few ideas, so this is a surprise one-shot for her. Her OCs are from her upcoming crossover fic that she's currently working on. Go and read her current fanfics; they're really good.

The canon Pokémon characters are a few years older than in the game. Same with some of the canon Symphogear characters.

Bede stared at the covers next to him on the queen-sized bed he shared with his girlfriend in disbelief. He could have sworn he had fallen asleep last night with his lover, so this was just a dream and he was still half-asleep, right?

The young Gym Leader rubbed his eyelids to get rid of the drowsiness before looking down again to see if he was just hallucinating.

But, alas, it was no hallucination.

A shiny Togepi was sitting on the soft covers, staring back at Bede. It had a silver necklace wrapped around its neck with a small silver figure of a Gardevoir ballerina. The necklace had been designed by Bede himself and had it customized as a gift for his girlfriend.

"SERENA?!" Bede exclaimed in shock.

Togepi flinched by the loud voice and tried to use its short arms to cover its hidden ears. Bede immediately covered his mouth with one hand to quiet down as his brain tried to process the reality. Was this shiny Pokémon really his girlfriend? How did she suddenly transform into a Pokémon?

The young man swallowed nervously before he slowly lowered his hands to gently pick up Togepi. The baby Pokémon watched as Bede picked her up. He looked very nervous and almost a bit scared, as if he thought he was going to accidently drop her.

Bede held Togepi in front of him as he never broke the eye contact with the baby. "S-Serena? Is it you…?"

"Toge", Togepi nodded.

Bede couldn't help but sigh in relief. He first thought he was getting tricked by Serena herself, as she sometimes had a slight playful side, but she would never go so far to remove the necklace he had given to her. She wore it all day out and even in bed.

"How did you transform into a Togepi? A shiny Togepi?" Bede continued asking. "Is it a side-effect by your Gear?"

"Pi", Togepi-Serena shook her head.

So, if it wasn't a side-effect by her Gear, Airgetlám, then what caused Serena to transform into a Pokémon?

Bede shut his eyes to try remembering what happened the day before. He had his usual schedule of training with the Gym Trainers, and taking personal acting classes with his adoptive grandmother, Opal the former Gym Leader of Ballonlea. It was currently off-season with the Gym Challenge, so it wasn't exactly a hectic time period.

After the classes, Bede took a walk in Glimwood Tangle to clear his head. He also wanted to distract himself and not walk around in circles at home while waiting anxiously for the return of his girlfriend who had been out of the region for duty with S.O.N.G. He had already planned a perfect romantic dinner with candles, but he knew something was missing.

He snapped his eyes down when he spotted a small cluster of flowers growing out of an old stump. Glimwood Tangle mostly grew luminous mushrooms, but the forest had a few different flowers that only grew in certain seasons. These flowers had silver petals with light pink dots and yellow pollen. The color combination reminded Bede of Serena's Symphogear, so they were perfect as a welcome home bouquet for her. He didn't hesitate to pick most of the flowers, but left some behind so they could grow. He swiftly returned to his and Serena's house next to the stadium to prepare the dinner and change his clothes.

Serena returned home with her Pokémon and got a big welcome home hug by Bede before he presented the bouquet to her. The young woman smiled in joy by the flowers and inhaled deeply to smell their sweet scent. After she had changed her clothes, she and Bede had a romantic dinner while their Pokémon also got some extra delicious dinner in the garden to leave the young couple alone. After dinner, they had cuddled on the couch while watching a movie and after that they went straight to bed.

Bede recounted the ingredients he had used for the dinner and he hadn't used anything unusual, so it wasn't the food that was the source of the mystery. He slowly glanced at the silver and pink flowers he had given Serena last night that were in a crystal vase on Serena's nightstand.

Wait!

Was it the flowers that had somehow changed Serena into a Pokémon?!

After a quick phone call and changing his clothes, Bede now sat in the living room with Togepi-Serena resting on his lap while Opal sat opposite of the coffee table. Opal sipped a cup of tea Bede had brewed as she listened closely at the man's story and showed the flowers he had picked.

"It appears Serena got affected by the Henshinpi flower", Opal spoke up after the story.

"The Hen-what flower?" Bede asked as he fed Togepi-Serena with Pecha purée.

"The Henshinpi flower", Opal repeated. "It's a very rare flower that only grows at this time of season and has a mysterious power. When a human inhales a lot of its pollen, they transform into a Pokémon and will remain in that form for approximately twenty-four hours."

"Toge toge?" Togepi-Serena chirped questionably.

"Serena did smell the flowers a lot, so…", Bede's face paled a bit before face-palming. "It's my fault she transformed into a Pokémon!"

"Toge togepi to!" Togepi-Serena yelped at her boyfriend, as if trying to tell him that he wasn't his fault.

"Do not fret, Bede", Opal slowly stood up with the help of her umbrella that now served as a cane. "Serena will transform back into her human body tomorrow. Take good care of her, Bede." She chuckled softly. "You may view this as practice for the future when I get to meet my great-grandchildren."

Bede blushed hard at the thoughts of being a father. "Opal!"

Togepi-Serena blushed softly at the comment, but she couldn't help but feel warm in her heart and look forward to the day she would become a mother of her and Bede's child.

Bede wanted to skip his schedule for the day to look after Togepi-Serena, but he was a Gym Leader and he couldn't ignore his duties. As if that wasn't enough, he had an exhibition match with Milo today. The grass-type Gym Leader was visiting the Gym Stadium, which made things a bit easier for Bede, so he didn't have to travel to Turffield and leave Togepi-Serena behind all by herself.

Bede was currently in his private locker room, changing into his uniform, while his and Serena's Pokémon were sitting in a corner with Togepi-Serena. Her Pokémon had been stunned to see their Master in a baby Pokémon form, but her male Togekiss and Selene the Clefable had quickly taken on the role of over-protective parents, since they were mates and had the roles as the mother and father of Serena's party.

Bede checked himself in the mirror to make sure he looked presentable. His shoulders were tense, so he tried to massage them to relax. "Let's get this over with…", he mumbled to himself.

He turned to the Pokémon, seeing Togepi-Serena was in Selene's arms as she reached her tiny arms out towards Helios the Whimsicott. Helios chirped in delight and allowed the transformed human to pat his cotton body. Bede chuckled lightly at the sight, but it was no time to watch the tender moment.

"Alright, guys!" the fairy-type Gym Leader called as he clapped his hands, getting the Pokémon's attention. "The match's about to start! Sylveon, Mawile, Gardevoir, Rapidash, and Hatterene, we have to go now." He called back his Pokémon and turned to the two other Pokémon he had once used before when he was a Gym Challenger a long time ago. "Reuniclus, Gothitelle, you two stay here and look after Serena with her Pokémon, okay?"

"Gothite!"

"Reu!"

Bede smiled at them before he walked over to Selene and gently patted Togepi-Serena on top of her head. "I'll be back as fast as I can, Serena. Don't go and wander off, okay?"

"Togepi!" Togepi-Serena chirped happily.

Bede smiled softly as he turned to Serena's Pokémon with a serious look. "Keep an eye on her or else!"

The reply from the transformed human's Pokémon were glares that could literally murder someone, if they could. Bede flinched back by the dark glares, holding up his hands in defense. Togepi-Serena glared at her Pokémon and began yelping in Pokémon speech, scolding the Pokémon.

"Togepi toge toge togepi!"

Serena's Pokémon tried to argue, but she didn't let them have it. Bede held back a tiny grin as he watched the Pokémon be at their Trainer's mercy, even when she was a baby Pokémon.

Togepi-Serena watched the exhibition battle on the large screen in the locker room in Selene's arms with her Pokémon and Bede's two Pokémon. Milo had just sent out Shiftry while Bede sent out Mawile. The two Pokémon clashed against each other as their Trainers told them which moves to use.

"Master acts a bit reckless, though…", Gothitelle commented worriedly. "It's very similar to the time when he was a Gym Challenger… Do you remember, Reuniclus?"

"I do, Gothitelle", Reuniclus nodded.

"What are you talking about?" Togepi-Serena asked as she looked at the psychic duo.

"It's about the time he was manipulated by both the former chairman and his assistant", Gothitelle replied.

Togepi-Serena knew immediately what the gothic Pokémon meant by that. Bede had told her about his past of how he had been used and played with as a puppet to help Chairman Rose to collect the Wishing Stars to produce enough energy for the whole region for a lifetime. It was quite a hard topic for Bede, so Togepi-Serena was relieved to hear about her boyfriend's background and both the pain and suffering. Bede had been abandoned as a toddler and tried surviving by proving that he was worthy; that he was more than just discarded garbage.

He had been so desperate to prove Chairman Rose that he was the best Gym Challenger and defeat former Champion, Leon, that his determination blinded him and cost him to get disqualified from the Gym Challenge. It was more or less a miracle that Opal took him in under her wing after the fiasco and made him her successor of the fairy-type Gym.

Togepi-Serena couldn't help but sigh in relief that Bede had turned the leaf around and became a better teenager and now an honorable and respectful man.

She got the urge to shower her boyfriend with gentle kisses to express her love for the fairy-type Gym Leader, but she had to wait with that when her body would turn back into human.

Bede came out as the winner of the exhibition match, but he did get distracted once that cost him one Pokémon. He was able to make a comeback with his Gigantamax Hatterene and defeated Milo's Gigantamax Appletun with a bang.

He hurried to his private locker room to check on his transformer girlfriend. His heart sang in relief to see Togepi-Serena in Selene's arms as the other Pokémon played with her as if she was a real little toddler.

"Is everyone okay?" Bede asked, getting the Pokémon's attention.

They cried out and nodded to answer his question. The fairy-type Gym Leader stepped over to Selene and gently picked up the shiny Pokémon. "Did you enjoy the match, Serena?"

"Priii!" Togepi-Serena nodded joyfully.

Bede couldn't help but smile at the transformed Pokémon. "Yeah, I get it. The fairy-type Gym is far superior to the grass-type Gym with the leadership of a simple farmer."

"Toge! Togepi pri!" Togepi-Serena glared at the bragging Gym Leader so hard that her eyes almost began glowing.

Bede flinched back when he saw the glowing eyes. That looked like Extrasensory that Togepi Pokémon could learn by breeding. He had no idea Togepi-Serena could actually use moves. It was best not to upset his transformed girlfriend for the rest of the day.

After avoiding the reporters by escaping the Gym Stadium through a secret emergency exit, Bede, Togepi-Serena, and their Pokémon went home to spend the rest of the day alone without any cameras spying on them. Bede didn't want the word about Serena's transformation to be spread out and cause havoc on social media.

It was now getting late, so Bede took a bath with Togepi-Serena. The transformed human was sitting in a plastic bowl that floated in the water while the young man washed his hair in the bathtub.

Togepi-Serena tried to reach the water and play with it, but it almost caused the bowl to tip over. Bede noticed it through his wet bangs and quickly grabbed his transformed girlfriend before she could hit the water.

"Careful! We don't know if you can swim in this form, Serena!" the young man said worriedly.

"Prii pri", Togepi-Serena nodded sweetly.

Bede let out a tired sigh. He had no idea it was this time and energy consuming to look after a baby Pokémon, even if it was his transformed girlfriend. Was it the same for adults who had children? Was that why his parents abandoned him? Had he been too much of a bother to them?

But why did they still throw him away?

Children were so innocent and they didn't deserve to be discarded for no reason. That thought could anger Bede so much even to this day. He knew what the life in the slums was like and he never wanted to see another child go through the same thing and try surviving in a cruel world. That was why he had opened an orphanage in Ballonlea and more were being constructed across Galar under the companionship of Macro Cosmos with Leon's leadership.

Bede was ripped out of his thoughts when Togepi-Serena softly cried to get his attention. His heart suddenly got this warm feeling in his chest when he looked at his transformed girlfriend. Sure, it had been quite hard to look after her, but deep inside he enjoyed it. Not just because she was his girlfriend, but also having this big feeling of protection.

He wanted to protect her. He was usually being protected by Serena because she had her Symphogear to rely on, like in the giant crisis that occurred in Galar couple of years ago.

If this was how a loving and normal father felt like, then he promised he would never ever abandon his child and protect them from any danger. Heck, even from all those wild Dynamax Pokémon that wrecked chaos because of those weird twins with awful taste of hairstyle.

Bede slowly lifted up Togepi-Serena and planted a gentle kiss on top of her head. The baby Pokémon blinked confusedly, but her eyes softened as her boyfriend brought her into a careful hug.

"Serena… I promise I'll always take care of your and our children", Bede promised. "I swear upon Arceus I'll never abandon you."

"Prii…", Togepi-Serena chirped softly as she leant her head against Bede's bare chest, enjoying the close contact.

Bede quickly fell asleep after tucking Togepi-Serena into bed next to him, but he made sure to arrange the pillows a bit so he wouldn't accidently roll onto his transformed girlfriend and crush her with his body weight.

The fairy-type Gym Leader slept deeply until he felt something soft against his cheek and a warm breath. "Good morning, love."

Bede mumbled tiredly as he sunk deeper into the bed, not realizing who was talking. "Hrrm…"

Serena pouted a bit, but then her face turned into a mischievous one. She leant in closer and whispered closely to his ear. "Wake up…Daddy."

Bede's eyes snapped open before he sat straight up, almost throwing the covers off. "DADDY?!"

Serena quickly moved aside so she wouldn't get hit on the head by her boyfriend's quick actions. The platinum-haired man looked around frantically before his eyes landed on his brown-haired girlfriend. He blinked his eyes a few times before rubbing the drowsiness out of them to make sure he wasn't hallucinating again.

"S-Serena…?" Bede mumbled in disbelief.

Serena giggled at her boyfriend's reaction. "It's me, Bede."

Bede remained silent for a couple of seconds before he quickly wrapped his arms around the Symphogear user. Serena giggled as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend, nuzzling her face in Bede's bed hair.

"You've turned back", Bede mumbled in relief.

"Yes, just now", Serena nodded as she tightened her hug around Bede. "And now I can show you how much I love you."

"Huh?"

Before Bede's slight tired brain could comprehend it, Serena pushed him down on the bed and began showering him with soft kisses all over his face. The young man shivered in pleasure as Serena's lips moved down to his throat.

"S-Serena…"

"Shh…", Serena whispered softly before she moved her lips up to Bede's ear. "Let me show you my appreciation after how good you took care of me yesterday…"

The couple stayed in their bedroom for the rest of the morning. Their Pokémon could smell the sweet and salty aromas coming from the room, so they made sure not to get close and accidently interrupt their Trainers' fun.
