(A.N. I felt this was an important chapter to upload to see the closeness between the two sisters. Let me know what you're thinking of the story so far and if there are any events that you would like to see. Hope you're enjoying the story x)

It was now Friday night and the Bolton family had just finished dinner so Isabella turned to her parents. "Do you want me to help with the dishes before Ari and I go up to my room?"

Troy smiled at his oldest daughter. "No Baby Girl, you and Ari go have fun."

Just as they were about to leave the room, Aidan spoke up. "Can I come too?"

His timid voice made his sister sigh but just as she was about to respond, her dad spoke up. "I don't think you'll want to this time Bud, Bella and Ari are having a girls night so I don't think you'll have a lot of fun, but Bella's gonna take you to the park tomorrow. How about you and me go to the garage and fly your helicopter?"

Just like that, the boy was happy. "Ok Daddy."

Isabella smiled and took her sister up to her room and laughed as the little girl jumped excitedly on her bed. "Alright Bubba, how about we pick a movie and I can paint your nails?" The six year old nodded in response. "Ok what movie should we watch?"

"Hairspray!"

Isabella flipped through Netflix and turned on the movie before moving onto her bed next to her younger sister. "What colour do you want me to paint your nails?"

"Can I have red please? It's Mommy's favourite."

"Of course you can Ari. Do you wanna hear a secret?" Isabella laughed when Arabella nodded eagerly. "Mommy always told me her favourite colours were red and blue, but I think she liked red because it was the colour of Daddy's basketball jersey." Arabella giggled in response, making her older sister smile. "You can't tell Mommy that I told you that."

"Ok I promise... Mommy and Daddy love each other?"

Isabella looked at her confused. "Of course they do Bubba, did something happen?"

"No, Holly said that her parents don't love each other anymore and they live in different houses. I don't want Mommy and Daddy to live in different houses."

Isabella was shocked but caught herself, pulling her into her lap, hugging her tight. "Look at me Ari." When the little girl looked up, she continued. "I PROMISE you that's not going to happen. Mommy and Daddy love each other very very much and I can promise you that what happened to Holly's parents won't happen to them ok? Mommy and Daddy have been together for a long time, almost as old as I am and that's not going to change for very long time ok? What made you think that they didn't love each other?"

"Holly said that she thought her parents loved each other but they didn't, she said they're getting a divorce. I don't want Mommy and Daddy to get a divorce."

Isabella stroked her sister's hair. "They're not gonna get a divorce Bubba I promise. You wanna know how I know?" Arabella nodded so she continued. "Because when I was born, Mommy and Daddy were very young and Daddy could've walked away but he didn't. He loved her so much that he stood by her through everything and helped raise me. You'll understand more about why it's a big deal in a few years but for now, you're still a bit too little. I remember when I was little, even younger than Aidy is but I remember a few things really clearly and even though Mommy and Daddy were about my age, they loved each other so much. I'd always see Mommy on Daddy's lap and they'd always be holding hands or be touching in some way. And you know that necklace that Mommy has?"

"The one with all our names?"

"Yeah Bubba, that one. Well Daddy gave Mommy a similar necklace a couple months after they got together and fell in love. It said that he'd love her forever and it had mine and his name on it, the new one says the same but from you, me, Aidan and Daddy."

"So Mommy and Daddy really love each other."

"Yeah they do Ari and that's never gonna change." The little girl nodded and cuddled into her sister's embrace, Isabella finishing painting the girl's nails. Just when they started a new movie, Gabriella came in. "Hey Mom, everything ok?" Gabriella smiled and nodded. "Wanna join our girls night?"

"That'd be great Baby Girl, your dad and Aidan are still playing with the helicopter in the garage." Gabriella said as she sat down beside her daughters. Isabella pulled Gabriella so she was laying against the pillows. "So what are we watching?"

"The Greatest Showman!" Arabella cheered, making her sister and mother laugh.

"I'm starting to think this little one has a crush on Zac Efron, she's picked two of his movies already." Isabella teased her sister.

Gabriella laughed. "I always thought he kinda looked like your dad."

Isabella looked kinda mortified. "I - I guess so... Actually yeah I see it in this one." They all laughed before turning their attention back to the screen.

A while later, Troy came into the room. "Hey Brie, Aidan's -"

"Shhh." Isabella whispered to him, nodding her head to a sleeping Gabriella beside her.

"How long has she been out for?"

"About 10 minutes or so."

Troy nodded slowly before sitting on the edge of the bed by his wife and brushed the hair from her face. He missed the way his oldest daughter hinted his actions to his youngest and the grin that was on the little girl's face. "So, I know you probably don't want to talk with your dad about it, but your mom told me that you and Josh broke up. Are you ok?"

"It's alright, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be, I'm not really upset at all, just disappointed."

"Disappointed? Did he do something?"

"No, he just wanted more that I couldn't give him. I grew up seeing how you and Mom are and I know that that's the kind of relationship I want. You and Mom taught me not to be pressured by a guy and I'm gonna wait until I find someone to treat me and love me like you love Mom."

Troy kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry that you've gone through this Bella, but I'm proud of the way you're handling it." Isabella nodded in response. "Alright, well your brother is asleep so I'm gonna take your Mom into our room and head to bed myself. Good night Baby Girl, I love you."

"I love you too Dad, good night."

He turned his attention to his youngest daughter. "Ari, Daddy's taking Mommy to bed now but I'll see you in the morning. Sweet dreams Princess, I love you."

"I love you Daddy, good night."

Isabella smiled as she watched Troy gently lift Gabriella into his arms, only for her to nuzzle her head into his chest. After her parents were out of the room, she looked down at her sister. "See Mommy and Daddy love each other Princess, that's not gonna change for a long time." She smiled softly as she saw her sister yawn. "Alright Bubba, I think it's time for bed." The little girl nodded sleepily. Isabella reached for the remote and turned off the movie. She cuddled her younger sister into her arms and kissed the top of the six-year-old's head. "I love you Ari."

"I love you Bella, good night."

"Sweet dreams Bubba."
